“..hey you… yeah, that’s right, I’m talking to you lot- the fresh meat all standing around with your eyes all full of things like hope and wonder. And, well, if you want some advice, I’ll give you this one free of charge… make sure to enjoy it while it lasts; because once your little honeymoon period comes to an end little greenies, you’ll soon realize that life in this pathetic camp isn’t what it seems… oh, and trust me, I’m pretty sure that I know this better than anyone else that you’ll meet in the camp. There’s only one reason you’re all here, it’s cause you’re different… cause you’re special- you’re not like the others out there in the world, and you never will be- and even though I would love for nothing more than to leave you all fending for yourselves; my unfortunate job here today is to let you know that you’re not alone in this… but just because you’re now surrounded by people who are like you, doesn’t mean that your life is going to be all sunshine and roses anymore; so cause I have no other choice but to play the part of your ‘happy little tour guide’, let me give you a heads up of the workings of this place.

So from this day forward, the camp is now your home; but whether it’s just for the summer or all year round is up to you and you alone, no one else can go about making that choice for you, and not every person that you meet is going to be welcoming... be cautious of who you cross, making alliances with other cabins can keep you from ending up under the care of the Apollo kids in the infirmary. But fair warning to you all; even those who seem the most innocent… can be some of the most dangerous of those around. I’m not gunna waste my time by showing you where everything is, and don’t think for a minute that I’m gunna stand around and answer any of your questions at the end of this little ‘chat’ of ours- so here are the basics… you have Half-Blood hill, the big house, the mess hall, the infirmary... there’s also the stables, the training grounds, the chariot course, the obstacle tower, the lake- but more important than them all are the cabins. If you know your Godly parent, that’s great for you… but if you don’t, you’ll be staying in cabin six with the Hermes children… Just a friendly little heads up about some of the cabins and those in them; the Ares kids are testy and have no issues picking fights with people who cross them, the Hephaestus kids are the ones to see if you have any issues with your gadgets and anything mechanical- and unless you’re looking to take a nap, steer clear of the Morpheus cabin… Oh, and just so you know- I’m the worst of them all… so go have some fun little greenies, and remember… stay outta my way.”

Camp Half-Blood ~ Information

Camp Half-blood is a Greek demigod training facility which is located on the Long Island Sound, New York, and is directed by the Greek God Dionysus (also known by campers as Mr. D), and Chiron, a centaur who along with the leaders of the camp co-ordinate activities for the demigods who choose to live within the camp; Camp Half-Blood is also the Greek counterpart of Camp Jupiter, a Roman camp located in San Francisco, California. The camp has magical borders, which are re-enforced by Thalia's tree, the Golden Fleece and the dragon Peleus; their magical powers helping to protect the camp and everyone in it from that which threatens to harm them- the camp is described by all who know about it as being the only true safe place for half-bloods to live in harmony and without the fear of their lives being in danger. The half-bloods living within the camp having comfortable accommodation in cabins, eating within the dining pavilion with their friends; demigods are free to spend their time however it is that they wish, even having a range of many different activities and area's in which they can enjoy, these including but not limited to: the training grounds, the climbing wall with lava, the amphitheater, the stables, the armory, the forge, and the Big House.

PLEASE NOTE: Though the camp is well known among the demigods and their parents, the humans throughout the world are completely unaware that such a camp even exists; the camps cover name and story being the 'Delphi Strawberry Service', a reference to the name of the Oracle of Delphi herself.

Camp Cabin - Information

Unlike the days past when the camp only ever offered sanctuary for the children of the great twelve Olympian's; the protection that the camp gives to demigods, thanks to an unbreakable promise made by the Gods themselves, is now offered to the children of those that wouldn't normally have such an opportunity- Camp Half-Blood itself now housing over twenty cabins, and with the number of demigods living within the camp increasing each and every day that passes by, the cabins seem to continue to be built as needed. Each cabin within the camp is two stories in height with most, if not all bedrooms situated up on the second floor of the building (depending on the cabin, each has a different layout), giving campers plenty of choice when it comes to living quarters; every camper, with the exception of those in the Hermes cabin, each get their own room which they are free to decorate in any way that they so wish.

Cabins are also equipped with shared bathrooms, a small kitchenette with basic appliances (fridge, microwave, stove, oven, sink, ect.), and a spacious communal living and dining area which demigods are expected to share with their half-brothers and half-sisters during their time in the camp. Campers are in charge of keeping their cabins, as well as anything else affiliated with their cabins clean during their time within the camp and ready for the weekly inspection which is to be performed by the cabin councilor voted forward that week by the small council and Mr. D; for example, the children of Hephaestus are expected to both clean and maintain both their cabin and the forges that they use during their stay within Camp Half-Blood.

PLEASE NOTE: The Lady Hera and the Lady Persephone cabins only hold an honorary position within the camp out of courtesy to the two Goddesses; the Lady Hera being Queen of the Gods, and the Lady Persephone being Queen of the Underworld- both Goddesses having no demigod offspring of their own. The Lady Artemis' cabin is also honorary within the camp due to her being one of the maiden/virgin Goddesses, however the cabin does at times play host to the huntresses within her charge.

The Big House - Information

The Big House is home to not only the camps director, Mr. D (also known as Lord Dionysus), but also to the many staff that work within the camp itself (Chiron, ect.), and the great Oracle of Delphi whom can be found within the house's attic. It is also the main meeting place for the leader/s of each of the cabins; a safe place within the camp to discuss major problems, ideas, quests, and hold general council meetings without being interrupted by other campers- the Big House is also the one place you can always find the camps main staff, Dionysus and Chiron, as they are always willing to enjoy a game of pinochle on the front porch.

Camp Activities and Other Places of Interest

Camp Half-Blood has many different places of interest where demigods are free to roam and hang out, and various activities on offer for campers to join in on as they please. Some of these places around the camp include: Half-Blood hill and the surrounding forest, the mess hall, the infirmary, the stables, the training grounds, the amphitheater, the climbing wall, the lake, the camp armory and the camp forge, and Myrmeke Hill. Some of the activities on offer to the campers include: Capture the flag, the obstacle tower, the chariot course, and the trial of dreams.

Quests - Information

At Camp Half-Blood, a quest can only be issued to a camper if they have met with the Oracle of Delphi and have been given the honor of receiving a prophecy from her; a quest is one of the few times in which a camper will be given permission to leave the safety of the camp, though there are other instances when such things are made possible to demigods. The demigod which receives the prophecy is normally automatically considered to be leader of the quest, and while this person is allowed to pick two companions to accompany them on their journey, it is not unheard of for that person to pick more, less, or even none at all depending on their personal preference- in some cases, the companions themselves are picked out, or suggested to the person during a meeting with the camp leaders to discus the quest in question. While a quest is something that all demigods strive to be able to be apart of, there are times when a camper will go mad after receiving a prophecy from the Oracle; however it is unknown about what happens to the quest itself if such a thing occurs.

Characters - Information

Characters must be OC, we shall not be accepting any cannon characters in this roleplay. Characters are not strictly limited to demigods, this roleplay will also be accepting characters who are Satyrs, Amazons' and Cyclops'; and while each character is not bound to one continent for the their place of origin, it is a must that they be affiliated with the Greek Gods of Olympus and the Underworld. While both Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter are brother camps with one another, and both have affiliations with the Gods and Goddesses; it is a very rare occurrence for a demigod to transfer from one camp to the other, though it isn't unheard of.

When it comes to making children of the big three (Zeus, Poseidon and Hades), there is a limit of two children at a time for each of them; this limit is inclusive for demigods of both camps- so for example if you have one child of Hades from Camp Half-Blood, and then one child of Pluto from Camp Jupiter who has decided to transfer to the other camp, the limit will have been reached. Those of you wishing to play Gods and Goddesses, must demonstrate a strong writing ability (good grammar, punctuation, ect.), please message me with a sample post of that particular character which will be considered by both myself and my Co-GM; if the character is accepted, then you shall be notified as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are the writer behind any of the Gods and Goddesses, please understand that by accepting the responsibility of such an important character, you reserve the right to have said character removed from your care should there be any discrepancies arise during the roleplay. Also note that all characters must be accepted by myself and my Co-GM before you post within the IC.

Simba Lionhart and Kidagakash Nedakh

Present Day - The Wildes/ Atlantis

The night prior had certainly been an eventful one. And technically, it still hadn't ended. Not for Simba.

Even though Kidagakash had given Simba, Timon and Pumbaa their own rooms to stay in now that they were a part of the city, Simba could not stay within the room that was part of the palace. As soon as they had bid their farewells for the evening, and as soon as he was sure that Timon and Pumbaa were asleep on their animal-skinned rug-beds, he left. There was such a high amount of anxiety welling up within his chest from the days events, he had to sever each and every connection he could feel, simply so that he could just be himself for once. He needed his own thoughts. The fact alone that he was within a palace for the first time in many, many years caused a great amount of his emotional pain, he simply just needed to be alone and think.

Hours of wandering the quiet streets of Altantis eventually found his path had aimlessly taken him back to the temple where Kidagakash had presented to him the crystal he now wore around his neck. It was more than just her acceptance of who he was and what he seemingly did, but her people's acceptance as well... the life forces' acceptance... It truly was an honor, one that he was still sure that he didn't deserve. But perhaps his blind-walking had led him here, to the temple, for this very purpose; to come to peace with the complete, upside-down turn his life had suddenly made without his consent. He chose a rock and sat, facing the temple and put his mind into a meditative state, becoming in tune to himself and for hours, let his emotions and mind become one and the same for the first time since Rafiki had bestowed the gift of bonding to him back when he was a child.

The morning sun had just began to shine down through the thick foliage of trees, warming the tanned skin of his face as the plant-life slowly seemed to come to life around him with it's warm fingers. It was such a calming reprieve and Simba could feel his mind opening back up once more to those who might have reason to worry about his disappearance. No doubt Timon would throw a fit upon discovering that he had been missing and was unable to reach him... but only because Timon would have thought that Simba had been smart enough to get the early-morning grub for himself.

He wasn't ready to head back, though, not just yet. This place... for some reason he was drawn to it - like he had known it for his whole life and understood it's history like the back of his hand. He knew the reality though, these were Kidagakash's memories and emotions towards the place... It was raw. It was simple. But he liked it. In fact... he could of possibly craved it.

Simba raised up his right hand, pressing it towards his chest where the Atlantean crystal now hung and wrapped his fingers around it gently, lifting it off of his chest so that he could look down upon the pure stone with the same amount of reverence he had held for it the night prior. A tiny piece of the heart of Atlantis was what he now held between his fingers. It truly was beautiful, as was it's Queen.

"...Nashangaa kama mama ingekuwa walipenda yake..."

How long had it been since he had put his schooling days of use and practiced the ancient tongue of his own people? It was strange. Every part of him wanted to forget where he came from, who he was, but in that moment, letting his mind and emotions become one, it felt... right...

The gentle light of the morning suns rays streaming in from behind the thin material covering the window fell down and over Kida's features, causing for a sweet warmth to spread throughout her body as she slowly began to stir to life over the large pile of cushions that acted as her bed, her brilliant blue eyes slowly fluttering open as she did her best to give them the time they needed to adjust from the darkness that had just been clouding her sight. It had been a long night; the festivities continuing long into the early hours of the morn, though she couldn’t continue on in the same way that a lot of her people had- under more normal circumstances she would have been the last to retire to the comfort of her bed chamber; though the day prior had drained her completely of energy, causing her to crave the peace that came with a deep slumber. Placing both of her palms down and against the cushions that rested beneath her, she pushed herself up, her head turning to glance about the room around her; taking her time to revel in the beautiful Atlantean morn that rose about the city surrounding the palace before eventually, she continued on her path and was once more standing upright, the light sheet that had been covering her flowing down her body before pooling around her feet over the floor.

Lifting both her hands up from both her sides as she slowly began to move herself forward and across the room, she pushed her fingers up over her forehead and into her hairline, running them slowly back through the long pure white locks that hung down her back in soft waves, her step slowing to a stop only when she had reached a large stone basin that stood tall on its own off to the side of the room; her arms once more returning back to her sides as she let her attention drop down to the clear crystalline-like water it held within, the very sight of her reflection within the pool causing her soft pink lips to part from one another as she tilted her head to the side, seemingly examining the woman that she saw in front of her for something that everyone else saw, but that she just couldn’t seem to find herself, “..I am no Queen; not as you were mother…”

A connection had been opened, and for a few moments Simba began to expect the frantic chastising of either Timon or Pumbaa for leaving them alone in a strange room without telling them where he was going or demanding breakfast. But when the connection became soft; delicate even, he learned very quickly that it was neither of his cohorts.

/Kida?/

He wasn't sure, the connection felt weak and though the strength of a bond could be much less stable over distance, years of living with his gift told Simba that distance had nothing to do with it, but awareness. It confused him at first; he had made sure to open himself up freely so that those back in Atlantis that might worry about his absence would be able to find him through the bond, but as his mind slowly began to recount events of days past, Simba began to understand clearly - Kidagakash was unaware of him.

She did not understand the bond that they now shared, let alone understand how to control it so that the tie could be severed or opened. Hell, even years later and Simba was still learning how to use it. Bonding with another human... it was unthinkable. His father's shaman, upon receiving the gift, specifically warned him about using it on another human being. But it wasn't as though he had much choice. Kidagakash surely would have killed him if he hadn't forced her to understand that he was no threat to her. But now they were tied in an unbreakable link and though he hated to think on it, he had to wonder just what it was that made bonding with another human so terrible as Rifiki had taught him.

Shaking the thought from his head, Simba instead tuned into what little of the bond he could feel opening up to him. There was... reluctance in her emotions, feeding into his being as though it were his own; regret... worthlessness... It had him frowning even though he knew that no one was around to see.

He craned his head up, bright blue eyes set on the slowly rising sun that breached through the foliage to rain down upon his tanned, muscular body and inhaled a calm, serene breath.

/Perhaps if you experienced this morn for yourself as I have, there would be less reason to place ill thought towards the dawn.../

Her head shot up the very instant that she heard the familiar sound that was Mwoga’s voice ringing as clear as day within her ears, the sudden interruption to the peace that filled her chambers causing her soft pink lips to part from one another as she turned her head to look back over her shoulder for him, her brows seeming to furrow and her bright blue eyes narrowing out of confusion as she quickly came to the conclusion that she was still completely and utterly alone- but she was sure… she had heard his voice no more than a few moments ago. Shoving the nagging feeling she felt that she wasn’t catching onto, or that she was missing something altogether, she slowly turned back around so that she was once more facing the basin; her mind lingering only a few seconds longer on Mwoga before she let her gaze drop back down to her reflection staring back at her.

Reaching out her hand towards the water that was settled in front of her eyes, she hesitated with the tips of her fingers only mere inches away from its surface, allowing them to hover for what felt like a lifetime before finally, she pulled her arm back and turned her back to the basin altogether; her feet carrying her over to where her clothes for the day had been lain out in wait for her awakening, the young queen taking her time to clothe herself before the sound of Mwoga’s voice once more filling her mind caught her attention, forcing her to jolt upright and search again around the room for the large but familiar figure that was the man she had grown comfortable being in the company of.

“..Mwoga..?” Seemingly caught off guard due to twice having heard the voice of someone who was more than obviously nowhere to be found in the room with her, she slowly fastened the material around her body before she glanced around once more, double checking that she was indeed truly alone before she shook her head, questioning her sanity, “It cannot be… how am I to hear his words, when I am alone…”

Simba couldn't help the deep, low chuckle that came from within his chest as he both heard and felt her surprise. Even though she were speaking out loud and not in thought, he was able to understand her because when speaking, the mind and tongue became one.

/Still heart and open mind, for it is how I am able to speak to you. The bond in which we share links us - our hearts, our minds, our feelings... when opened to one another, they are split between us as our own./

Simba paused to let his words settle in, though it seemed that no matter how many times he tried to explain their bond to her, it wasn't setting in. Not by her fault, of course. This... magic... it was old - ancient perhaps, and exceptionally rare. Perhaps if Rafiki were still alive, he would have a better time explaining as he did to Simba when he was still a small boy. So, perhaps, instead of telling her, he'd simply show her.

/Come find me, Kidagakash. And all will be clear./

He… wanted her to find him..? Curiosity ran through her body driving her to make her way across the length of her chambers and over to archway that served as the door leading to the rest of the palace, her hand coming up to gently brush the curtain aside as she slowly and ever curiously made her way out of the room, her brilliant bright crystal-blue eyes flicking about the hallway around her before eventually, her attention fell to the hall to her right; the feeling of familiarity and déjà vu flickering through her mind and heart for only a few moments before she turned and began to follow the path that had her feeling as though she had already taken that morning… this magic shared between them; it was strange…

“..you wish for me to seek you out..?” Bringing her hand up from where it was resting by her side, Kida pressed her hand up against the wall as she leant forward to peek around the corner and into the main hall, excitement seeming to build with the already built up burning curiosity as she brought her free hand up, gently brushing her long pure white locks back and behind her ear before she made her choice, her bare feet barely making any noise over the floors below her as she hurried across the room and out into the fresh morning air that greeted her; her gaze scrunching up thoughtfully as she tried to figure out which way she had to go from here, a soft chuckle falling out through her lips, “Mwoga; we play a child’s game.”

He smiled, brushing the feeling of his hand on cold stone aside as he was practiced just enough to know that the sensation was not his, but her own. Feeling a small amount of restlessness that didn't belong to him, Simba pushed himself up and onto his feet, feeling the lush, cool, green grass tickling the bottoms as he crossed the quiet field and over to the crumbling remains of the temple that Kidagakash had introduced him to just the day prior - though he felt as if he had known it his whole life because of the memories he now shared with her.

Touching the stone, completing the feeling he had just a few moments ago by her own physical memory, Simba took a moment to look the stone structure up and down carefully, examining the cracks and chipped away pieces in what was once a flawless architectural structure that brought hope and peace to the people of Atlantis.

/Then this should be easy for you./ Simba finally replied, though through thought; a challenge. One that he didn't have to assume, but knew she would take pride in accepting, and of course... completing.

She couldn't help the gentle chuckle that fell through her lips as his words filled her mind; so he was giving her a challenge hm..? It was something different, that was for sure- something that she hadn't had in a very long time save for the political meetings of the small council. It wasn't something that she enjoyed... didn't give her the satisfaction that came with actually going out and doing something; feeling the wind in her hair, and the feeling of pride swelling in her heart when she finished the task, and knew she had done a good job... this was going to be fun...

Catching the unmistakable feeling that was grass brushing against the underside of her feet, she picked up the pace once more; the balls of her feet making gentle thuds against the broken stone paths as she hurried through the city and towards the clearing in which they had held their celebration the night prior- the sense of déjà vu once more overwhelming her as she slowed down towards the entrance of it; her bright blue eyes resting upon the smoldering remains of the bonfire before she tore her attention away from it, allowing them to slowly glide over the rest of the clearing, trying to get some clue as to which way it was that he would have gone into the jungle from here.

"..I feel I have crossed this path; yet I have no memory of doing such this day... how is such a thing possible..?"

Simba quietly stepped away from the massive stone structure, dusting his hands off as bits of crushed rock fell to the tangled grass below him. What she was asking was... perplexing, to put lightly. Never before had he had to try and explain the bond to a person; all the animals he had ever bonded with had just been second nature. There was no 'why' or 'how.' It just was. So as it seemed that as he put forth a challenge for Kidagakash to complete, she gave him his own as well. He closed his eyes, trying to take his mind back to a time where he was not but a boy, new to his own powers. What had Rifiki said? How did he explain it to him as a child? And how would he explain it to her in a way he hadn't tried to already?

/You have.../ Simba started to explain. "through memory that is my own. Your feet carry you through the path I took this morn - it is a memory we now share through the bond." Pausing for a moment, Simba rose his hand, letting his fingers play with the new, blue and golden-encrested crystal that hung from his neck. He could feel the quiet pulse spread from the stone and through his fingertips, causing for a brief smile of importance.

/Follow that memory, Kidagakash. And there you will find me./

Follow the memory..? The principle of the notion was simple enough; though actually being able to do such a thing-... the memory was not her own, yet he believed her smart enough to be able to use it as though it were; this was such magic that only her father would know about and be able to understand- everything she knew about the mystical world (which was not at all that much beyond Atlantean magic), she had learnt from him... now she was on her own. Now she had to work things out on her own.

Falling into a comfortable silence, she closed her eyes to the familiar world that surrounded her, doing all that she could to block out everything that was going on as she tried to call on the memory she could feel tugging at the corners of her mind- it was strange... the steps that were not her own, the emotions that were not her own, even the ever careful steps taken while moving through the jungle she knew so well... but she was seeing it as though it were through another's eyes- as though it were though his eyes. It was nothing like she had ever experienced before in her life.

Her soft pink lips parted ever so slightly from one another as she let her eyes slowly but once again open so that she could see the area, however her attention lingered upon a path that was hidden though lain out directly in front of her- the same path she had shown him the night previous when she had welcomed him into the city... welcomed him as one of the people of Atlantis. Unable to help the small smile that tugged lightly at the corners of her lips, Kida took a single step forward, followed by another; until eventually she was walking both confidently and with purpose in the direction that just felt... right.

"So strange to be a part of magic... the sharman's have long been left in the past- there is no magic left practiced within the city walls." Lifting her hand up from where she had it resting by her side, she placed her palm against the trunk of the closest tree, her head turning to glance at it in curiosity for but a moment before she continued and pressed on over the path, her step only coming to a stop when she reached the edge of the ruins that belonged to the temple; her eyes searching about until finally, they came to a rest upon his figure standing before her, "..such magic has beauty within it."

Hearing her voice within a close proximity to his own person rather within his mind as he had been in the past, Simba turned to face Kidagakash, watching her with interest as she moved herself through the foliage until she was standing out in the open with him. With a soft, yet proud smile, Simba rested the Atlantean crystal back onto his chest and gave her a once-nod of approval but also a nod of agreement.

/Beauty, as my father often told me, is held within the eye of that who wishes to see it as such. What one man may consider beautiful gift, another might see as repulsive curse./

He was still communicating with her through his mind, despite the fact that she was now close enough to hear him. Most of it had to do with that once in a while, Simba simply forgot what kind of communication he was using. He had been living with wild animals for so long now, the only way for him to communicate was through thought. Remembering the spoken words of his people was difficult, and very seldom practiced. However, once Simba did realize in what manner he was speaking, he refrained from speaking aloud in order to once more help Kidagakash try and understand the bond they now shared.

/But I'm glad you like it./ he finished, refraining from adding on about how she was now stuck with it for the rest of her life...

Her smile was soft as she watched him, her bright blue eyes seeming to take in as much of his figure as she possibly could before she dropped her attention down to the ground below her feet; carefully, though still confidently making her way down and closer to where he was standing watching her. Why she felt so... drawn to him she could not understand. It felt ever strange that she felt such things about a man she had just met; when never before had she had such strange emotions towards any of those she had spent her entire life with... there was indeed much she wished she could speak about with her parents- they would both know and understand what it was that was going on with her.

"..this magic... father would find fascination in such a thing... and mother, beauty. Had I not been part of it; such things would strike fear into my heart." Taking not even a fraction of a moment to stand herself up tall and proud, she once again turned her attention over to where he stood, her intense gaze meeting and holding his as she fell into a short though still quite comfortable silence, "..father-... father was mystic; I follow uncle's footsteps. The path of a warrior... both spoke of my having mother's heart and mind..."

Brief flashes crossed Simba's mind as Kidagakash began to speak of her family. Kashekim - her father; prior King and Shaman to the city of Atlantis - her mother and uncle... there was such a deep sense of pride behind her words, but it was her memories that her mind was openly sharing with him (whether intentional or not) that gave Simba reason to pause before answering. He could feel her own emotional ties to each of them - her memories of them became his own but for a moment until her open mind ceased, whether by her own conscious or not he wasn't sure, but it brought him back to the present.

His light blue eyes looked upon her thoughtfully, surmising her features and expressions now that her mind had been closed to him in that regard, leaving him to come to his own conclusions though with what he had been exposed to knew he wasn't far from the mark.

"You do your family a great justice." he responded slowly, lifting his eyes back up to meet with hers. "They would be proud."

"I only wish to do as such." Pausing for a few moments as she continued to drink in the very emotions that flooded her body at the memories, she eventually lifted her gaze up to once more meet with his own, her brilliant crystal blue eyes seeming to sparkle lightly under the gentle light streaming down through the cracks in the trees- family meant everything to her... had meant everything to her; now they were all gone... taken from her life by one means or another; and leaving her to find her own way with only the guidance of those who sought to her for answers to all their problems. It wasn't the life she had wanted; it wasn't the life she would have chosen, had she had the chance to do it all over again.

No longer wishing to take pause in her minds eye, she tore her gaze away from where he stood tall before her and the ruins of the once great temple, her soft pink lips parting ever so slightly from one another as she slowly took in the remnants of what she remembered to once be a mighty monument at almost the heart of Atlantis. Reaching out with her hand, she pressed the palm up against the cool stone that lay moss covered on the ground, her fingers curling over ever so slightly as a soft and almost silent sigh fell from her lips.

"..to know that my actions and choices cause their hearts to swell with hubris... it is all that I could ask, and more."

Tilting his head to the side slightly, Simba watched on as Kidagakash allowed her fingertips to caress the very same stone that he had been embracing not moments before she had found him. They truly were connected, in more ways than he ever thought possible as his experience stemmed from beasts and wild animals - never human. After a few quiet moments, Simba felt - through her - the timing was well placed and stepped forwards, towards her and placed a strong hand on her bare shoulder as he stood behind her.

/My decision to remain within Atlantis stems from the very thought./ Simba told her quietly through their connected mind. /You are a true leader to this Kingdom./ Removing his hand from her shoulder, Simba took a single step back, bending onto one knee and bowed himself down to her, keeping his gaze now to her bare feet. /And I will follow as humbled servant./

"Humbled servant, you are not."

Shaking her head lightly from side to side in denial of the very thought of him bowing down to her like some common slave, she turned her body around to face him completely, her feet both coming together as she lowered herself down, her hand reaching out to press firmly against his pectoral; the gentle beating of his heart within his chest only helping her to keep her resolve upon the matter- he had done much for the city as well as it's people, and he had stayed by her side when she had extended him such an offer... a lowly servant to the Queen..? He was far from someone she wished to give orders to.

"Your heart is pure; it beats as the sound of war drums within your breasts. And the fire in your eyes burns as bright as the sun. No lowly servant has such passion- no; you sit by my side as the warrior you are... the small council meets to discuss the city; one with knowledge of the outside world. I seek your council; and pray to the Gods above that you accept offer to be apart of saving this city with me."

Not a servant? Simba lifted his head, allowing his eyes to connect with Kidagakash's and returned her gaze though full of question. No, not a servant... but at her side to serve as council - a title he hardly deserved. However, it still kept him from being a Prince... and that was a title he loathed to hold at any present time and any time to come. His eyes then flicked down to look upon her hand on his chest, slowly bringing up his own hand to delicately place over the top of hers as he lifted his eyes back up to meet with hers.

"Gratitude. It will be an honor."

The touch of his hand over her own... she couldn't help the gentle smile that flickered to life over her lips. He had accepted the offer given to him; to stand by her side, as friend and as warrior, giving her council and helping her to once more elevate Atlantis to its former glory. It was more than she could ever ask of him. Remaining content within the comfortable silence that had fallen to surround the both of them, she tilted her head ever so slightly causing her long white locks to slip from their place and to curtain her shoulder, her mind taking wing of its own as it began to wander, causing her fingers to curl lightly over his flesh.

"..to have you stand beside me... the honor is but my own..."

The look in his eyes... the spark that burned brightly for all around him to see- she could sit there and watch it flicker about for hours. It gave her hope; hope for the lost city to again lift itself back up, and return once more to the golden age that she could remember... she was sure that with him by her side; together, they would be able to achieve such a thing.

"..standing side; we shall restore faith and glory to the peo-..." The gentle purr of the reptile, and the rustle of bushes surrounding them alerted her to the fact that they were in the path of the hunt long before she even caught a glimpse of the creatures themselves. How could she have been so reckless..? Leaving the both of them exposed and unguarded to one of the many dangers that filled the jungles surrounding the city: the wildlife.

Not showing any signs of hesitation as she both twisted her body around, and took a firm and rather protective hold over his hand, Kida hunched herself over the ground before him, her eyes scanning across the foliage until finally, they settled on what she was looking for; the yellow-green reptilian eye following their every movement as the creature itself sized them up, moving ever closer until coming to a stop just at the edge of the ruins.

If the quiet rustle of leaves wasn't his first indication, Simba was certainly aware of the animal stalking them once Kidagakash took her protective stance in front of him. Their eyes connected - man and beast, though the exotic, green scales that surrounded the orb as it peeked out between the thick, green leaves was very much unlike anything Simba had ever seen before. The sense was all very much the same whenever being stalked by a lion; it was familiar territory, yes, and yet... it wasn't.

The animal - by whatever species it was - however had it's look and just as Simba began to grow curious and moved to stand tall to go and investigate, with a quick rustle of leaves the beast was gone, and Simba was close to follow it but only for a few steps towards the area he had last seen it before turning back around to look over at Kidagakash. His bright blue eyes filled with a sense of wonder, and through their bond managed to make her feel just as excited, confused, and full of energy he was just then.

"What manner of creature was that?" Simba asked her, his chest heaving minutely due to the excitement of the spectacle he had just witnessed and with his right arm extended back behind him to where the animal had just been.

She could feel it... the excitement, the confusion, the wonder... the slight fear- but this time, she knew it not to be her own, but of his. He had never before seen creatures like she had in her lifetime; those she had grown up surrounded by, the ones that she had grown up both admiring and respecting... they were all new to him. The very thought of his curiosity caused a smirk to once more grow over her lips, though this time, she could not help but let out a soft and gentle chuckle as she stood up tall; her bright eyes sparkling with the very same emotions as his as she met his gaze.

"..my people were not the only wonders lost with this city..."

Half-Blood Hill ~ Camp Half-Blood

The familiar roar of the engine ripped through the normally peaceful air of the area surrounding Camp Half-Blood, growing both louder and more prominent with each moment that past her by and brought her closer to her destination; home. Gripping the handlebars tighter as she leant herself over, pressing her chest against the body of the custom made motorbike, the tires almost seeming to fly over the tar that made up the road beneath her, causing the loose bits of gravel to crunch underneath the weight as she sped down the familiar route that would lead her back to the only true place that she could call her home now; the feeling of being away from the only family and friends she had left, lessening with every second that ticked by- she just hoped that her friends hadn’t caused too much trouble for the rest of the camp in her absence; Erin was volatile… Syleste was innocent… Gideon was testy… Arianna was- well, she was Arianna, there was nothing that could be done about that… and Griffin; he certainly knew how to push the limits to their maximum…

Slowing down her speed as she came close to the discrete path that led through the forest and up to half-blood hill from the road, she took the turn with a small smirk, her body lifting up just slightly from the bike, seeming to manoeuvre with ease through the trees and down the path as though it were the most natural thing in the world- she had been living full-time in the camp for years now; and thanks to the many quests she had been sent on, coupled with all the trouble that she had gotten into during her younger years, she knew every path, trail and road around the area like the back of her hand. She was almost there… almost home- she was almost back with her friends and family where she was meant to be. She’d been driving for Gods knew how many hours straight to get back; being chosen to receive a prophecy from the Oracle was an honour for any demigod, and while going out on quests was both fun and something that they all strived for, nothing beat the feeling of returning back to the camp so that she could just relax and hang out with everyone that she cared about.

Drawing ever closer to the base of the half-blood hill, she both readjusted and tightened her grip over the handlebars of her bike before she twisted the throttle, not only revving the engine but also forcing more gas into the cylinders causing it to pick up speed once more as she passed under the arch and in through the safety barrier surrounding the camp; her smirk twisting into a more warm and sweet smile within the confines of her helmet at the very sight of the familiar pine that she drew increasingly closer to with each and every inch that flew past. She could practically taste it now… sitting back in her cabin with her friends; cooking up a few good steaks on the barbie, and throwin’ back a few ice-cold stubbies while they all enjoyed a long overdue game of cards against humanity… It was something that she had been looking forward to for the last few days; now if only she could find her frien- catching sight of the three familiar figures standing around as she finally hit the top of the hill, she slammed the brakes on as quickly as she could, her feet dropping down and pressing firmly into the ground below her causing the tail end of her bike to swing around; kicking up both grass and dirt in their direction before it finally came to a complete stop, resting up against her inner thigh as she readjusted herself over the seat.

“..look guys, I know you all love me, but don’t you think it’s a bit excessive for you to throw me a welcome home party on the top of the hill..? You know, I’m pretty sure I’ve told you all before not to bother coming to meet me up here…” Stooping her head down slightly as she loosened her grip and lifted her hands up from the handles of her bike, she unclipped the strap of her helmet before taking a hold of it; a flash of bright red catching under the rays of the sun as her long and wavy apple-red locks falling both down her back and over her shoulders the moment that she removed her helmet, placing it down on the bike between her body and the handles.

She had been expecting Grif to meet up with her once she had gotten back… Gideon was a maybe- but Erin and Syleste as well..? It was definitely a nice little surprise to say the least. Dropping her attention down to her hands for a moment as she brought them together in front of her, she tugged a couple of times at her leather gloves in an attempt to make sure they didn’t slip any further than they had before she unzipped her black leather jacket, allowing it to fall open to reveal the top she wore underneath as she let her gaze finally catch upon the muscular figure of a demigod that she had never met before.

“Ah; wait a minute… now it begins to make sense; and here I was feeling all loved cause I thought they came for me. Don't tell me... we have some new campers showing up today, right? I look forward to meeting them.” Chuckling softly to herself as she shifted her body slightly in the seat, she pressed the palm of her left hand into the cushion behind her as she smiled warmly while she brought her right hand up to gently run her fingers back through her long red locks, ruffling it ever so slightly before she dropped her hand back down to rest on the top of her helmet, her expression clearly showing her happiness at being back home where she belonged as her gaze slowly flicked back and forth between the people grouped around in front of her- her attention settling down on Griffin, knowing for a fact that he was there for her with the other two being a bonus, "So... did ya miss me..? Or did ya miss me..?"
Still a work in progress!!!

~Personal Information~

Personality: ?.

Skills: Seen to be not only exceedingly athletic, but also rather skilled in things such as parkour by all those within her tribe who know her; Octavia is an extremely agile young woman, her quite notable speeds along with her both exceedingly nimble and flexible body allowing her to manoeuvre herself up walls and trees, and into small or high places that most, if not all others might find impossible to do so.

Taking more after her Legacy than she does her actual father, Octavia shows extensive skill and love when it comes to her abilities with a weapon of almost any kind; the young Amazon showing no hesitation or fear when engaging in battle with the opponent of whom comes up against her- each and every action taken just as fast and precise as the last, and at times, twice as deadly and dangerous; and while preferring the familiar feeling of steel as her friend in combat, Octavia shows no quarrels in using whatever she can find laying about while engaged in a fight, whether it be to attack, or to defend herself.

Biography:
Once again, I sit in the silence of my room writing the thoughts that wander into my mind… Mother believes that I am too old to be writing such memoirs, though I stood strong against her once again. She believes this to be a good quality for the next Chiefest- she even went as far as to tell me that I am doing well in my studies as next in line. I truly have no thoughts against such things. Ever since I can remember, I have been trained… raised into this life, and taught all that I must know in order to be able to take my place as head of the tribe when the time comes- to hear such a compliment fall from mothers lips… it fills me with such pride. I know that I can do this. I can become the warrior, the leader- the woman that she wants me to become… I just need to focus on the things that are important.

This morning, we fought. I am by far the strongest to travel through the tribe since my mother; it is something I have heard over and over- but today they finally gave me that chance to prove myself against any and all who believed themselves to be strong enough to take me in combat. It was not as though I was not enjoying myself; when I fight, I feel as though I am truly alive… as if my heart is soaring. Body, mind and blade become one, and I can do anything. Take anyone. Those of who believed me to only be favoured learned such a thing the hard way; each of them earning a permanent reminder of my skill as they fell to the ground at my feet.

Once three of them fell to the dirt, most others decided to shy away. Such cowards we have within the tribe. It is a sign that they are pathetic, and weak. Two traits I will not allow, under any circumstances, to fester in among the women after I am made the Chiefest… Later, Chieya and I were in the middle of our match when the sound of the warning horn blew, ringing both loud and clear throughout the village, and for all within and working around it to hear. Neither of us hesitated. Neither of us even spoke a single word to each other, or anyone around us; we just left to carry out our duty- to protect the tribe at all cost against whatever was threatening us.

It was not the first time have seen a man; though it is the first time that I have seen one so young, and wandering so close to our village before. He was alone… or at least, from what I could see he was alone. How he had even managed to cross over the deep and raging river without the help of the tree tops was surprising, and seemed to have even him celebrating the fact that he had arrived on the opposite side alive and in one piece. That was, until I ran my spear through the center of his chest… The sound of terrified screams and scrambling filled the air from somewhere on the opposite side of the river, but I just could not look away from the man now slumped back, unmoving and bleeding out on the rocks not too far from where I stood. The look upon his face… the surprise… I cannot deny that I felt quite a deep satisfaction welling within my heart.

I carried him back to the village. Presented him to my mother and the other elders, while the rest of the tribe watched on in silence. I was the only one to bring back a prize from the hunt; the others I had not realized were with him, had managed to get away from the area, and out of the tribes reach. My mother and the elders left to meet- there was nothing else left but to return back to what we had been doing before the horn had sounded. Though I tried to focus on the task at hand; I just could not stop thinking about the look upon the man’s face… the way that his blood had stained the rocks and the water red; and how I had been the cause of his death. It was not until the sun was almost set upon the horizon that I was called in to speak privately with my mother.

She spoke to me about my heritage, and about two men I had spent my life giving praise to, and worshipping along with the other Gods and Goddesses within our lives. Lord Hermes and the mighty Lord Ares. I do not know what it is that I am meant to believe anymore; mother claims them both to be real… and above that, she claims Hermes to be my father, and that I am Legacy to the war God... I believe it to explain much about myself... She spoke to me of a place in which my father sent word about; a place where others fathered and mothered by the Gods can go to learn the ways of their divine halves. A place she called Camp Half-Blood. Fitting… half-blood… my blood is tainted, but with that of the Gods. I am still unsure as to whether or not this is a good thing.

I am being sent away. At first light, I leave the village. One last test; one that I must complete so that I may prove myself to the tribe, before I am to come back and take my mother’s place as Chiefest. I have already packed away the things that I am to be taking with me; the only thing left is this book… I could not put it away without writing in today’s events. They are far too great- far too important to just settle in mind before being forgotten in the morn. I understand what it is that I must do… and while I am reluctant to truly put faith into what I have been told this day, I will do what I must in order to securely preserve the future of this tribe.

As the sun rises within the East, so shall I take my first steps out of the tribe’s boarder and into the rest of the world. The only comfort I will have is this book and the rest of my belongings I am to take with me… May my father blessing shine over me on this journey… and pray we never encounter one another. I would hate to spill blood that I share in my veins… Now as the thought crossed through my mind, I must wash clean the crimson that stains my blade- I will not soon forget the way in which I felt when I took my first life.

I must go now. My eyes beg for rest, when my mind cannot settle. I still have much to think of.
Octavia.

~Demigod Information~

Demigod Abilities: Born into the world as a child of Hermes, and a Legacy of the God of War; Octavia has been lucky enough to inherit not only ? of her father’s more notable traits and abilities, but has also been able to inherit one of Ares more commonly noted abilities- the young Amazon herself, while holding no mastery over her abilities of ?, ? and ?, showing both an exceedingly strong and rather disciplined control over the ability of telekinesis; the only trait inherited to her by the Lord Ares..

Telumkinesis (Slight) - Born a Legacy to Ares, God of war, Octavia has a rather extensive and vast amount of control and slight power over the weapons in which she chooses to wield; the young Amazon, while not able to conjure weapons from thin air like any normal child of Ares, is able to correctly identify a vast majority of weaponry as well as how to correctly use such weapons while in combat. Exceedingly competitive and prideful, especially against the male species, Octavia is able to use her inherited ability, along with her natural and trained talent in combat to quickly engage in battle against any and all who come up against her; the young woman able to hold her own, even against the best of opponents for any given time.

~Weaponry Information~

Weapon/s: Seen to be one of the most dangerous, unpredictable and exceedingly violent demigods within Camp Half-Blood, both her strength and her skills during combat within the arena are not only remarkable, but also rarely matched by those who come up against her; Octavia’s volatile style of fighting not only able to keep her opponent on their toes, but also second guessing what it is they believe her capable of doing.
Weapon/s Name: ? - ?.
Weapon/s Type: ?.
Attributes: None.

Fighting Abilities: Showing remarkable skill and ability when it comes to leading those under her command, Octavia has been classed as not only a fierce warrior, but also the best warrior of her generation within her tribe; proving her worth to the elders of her tribe in both armed and hand-to-hand combat, her rather unique and, at times, deadly style of combat leaving her opponent tending to wounds or laying still, and unmoving upon the ground. Exceptionally skilled at handling a blade during battle, Octavia’s almost lightning-fast reflexes mixed with her excellent speed and flexibility, allow her to be able to not only pull her weapon quickly from its sheath, but to send it soaring or to strike down her target in a rather quick succession of time- and while her obvious hatred for men is shown clear upon her features, the young Amazon shows almost no hesitation in having to team up with them in order to get the job done if necessary.

Siblings: Thomas (Half Brother, 20).

~Personal Information~

Personality: If there were only two words to describe Ben Schafer, it would likely be bitter and cynical. Some people have accused him of being a pessimist, but he insists that he doesn't do it on purpose. He simply points out what no one wants to hear, but usually need to. As a child, Ben never got to hang out with kids his own age, as they were usually doing outdoor activities that he couldn't partake in, due to his condition. So instead, he usually felt alienated, and still hold onto that to this day. His mother was a caring, if aloof parent, and Ben had very little contact with his father, Zeus. Ben gets the feeling that it Zeus might be ashamed to have a cripple for a son, but he has no proof yet.

As a newer student, he has very little knowledge on his own abilities as a Demigod, and most of the time, they happen by accident. The more time passes in camp however, the more he starts to become comfortable with both his abilities and his fellow campers. He is not yet ready to call any of them friends, but he is more than happy to call them...people he knows.

Ben was often mocked, or treated with disdain before coming to camp, and he desperately wishes for a chance to prove himself to anyone watching. This usually leads to embarrassment, but Ben always tries his best to get up, dust off, and try again.

Skills: Aerokinesis: As with all children of Zeus, Ben has come control over the air, though it is a little sporadic. He is just as likely to create a passing breeze as a cyclone.

Electrokinesis: Ben has far better control of electricity than he does of the air, and has, on occasion, used it to give people he doesn't like an unpleasant shock. Ben is hopefull that soon, this ability will be useful for something more than messing with people.

Biography: When most think of Zeus, father of the gods, they think of his perfect children, like Perseus or Hercules. But what happens when a child is born that doesn't meet the expectation? Ben finds himself learning the answer to that question every single day. When Ben was born, the doctors discovered that his right leg was underdeveloped. At his mother's request, Ben's leg was amputated at the knee, and eventually fitted with a prosthetic.

Throughout much of Ben's early life, he believed that his mother's husband, Richard, was his father, and had no idea of his true parentage. His childhood was average, but as Ben got older, he spent more and more of his time being alienated and alone, and not just because of his disability. He always got the feeling that he was different, but he could never put his finger on it.

It all came to a head when Ben got into a fight with another student in high school. After he gave the boy one good shove, he felt something that made his arm tingle and his hair stand. The older boy he was fighting suddenly fell to the ground, having some sort of seizure. The school investigation of the incident turned up that Ben wasn't at fault, and he was only slapped with a suspension for fighting. Deep down, Ben knew he had done something wrong, and told his mother about.

Hannah laid it all out, and, to Ben's credit, he took it fairly well. Hannah then told her son that he couldn't stay at home anymore, so she helped him pack and bought him a plane ticket to New York. A few weeks before his eighteenth birthday, Ben arrived at his new home, Camp Half-Blood.

~Weaponry Information~

Weapon/s: The only gift Zeus ever gave his least favored son was a sword of fine quality. It is single edged and forged with good celestial bronze. On it's blade is a single word in greek: Βροντή.
Weapon/s Name: Βροντή aka Thunderclap
Weapon/s Type: Sword

Other: Ben may be a little sour sometimes, but he would lay down and die for anyone he considers a friend.

Half-Blood Hill & Training Grounds ~ Camp Half-Blood

Pulling back gently though firmly upon the reigns to slow the pace as she drew closer to the top of hill that she now knew to be the entrance to the Greek camp, she steered her mare off slightly to the side, her balance never once seeming to waver on its back as the creature reluctantly came to a stop before shaking out its beautiful mane, the action causing the demigoddess to lean forward over the saddle, her hand softly gliding up and down the animals neck a few times in thanks and appreciation for getting her as far as she had. Leaving her life in Camp Jupiter behind had been easier than she had thought it was going to be- sure it meant leaving all her friends and those she cared about behind in her wake, but she’d made Nolan a promise… and she intended on keeping it, even though it meant uprooting her life and shipping herself off to Camp Half-Blood. Sitting up tall once more in the saddle as she turned her head back to the camp, her attention falling to glance back and forth between the other demigods milling about at their own pace and leisure- this place was so different to what she was used to… where were the uniforms..? Where was the structure..? It was going to take her a while to get used to living here…

Frowning slightly as the sound of voices speaking floated up to her from where she could see a large pine tree standing guard over the camp, she turned her head and allowed her attention to settle down on the three figures chatting among themselves; one with gentle pink hair flowing down her back and shoulders, one with a sneer plastered over her features and looking like death warmed up, and the third, a male, hold up in his own little world causing her to wonder if he was ignoring the brunette, or just simply hadn't heard her. Deciding it better and possibly wise not to disturb the trio in question, she pressed onward, clicking her tongue a couple of times as she lightly pressed her heels into the side of her horse to once more gain its attention, she lightly flicked the reigns, urging the creature forward and down the hill to where she could see the most demigods milling about in the one area; her eyes flicking about her person so that she could take in as much as she possibly could before her eyes finally settled upon a small group staring up at her from where they stood within the grassy knoll surrounded by the cabins, her eyebrow quirking ever so slightly before she finally chose to speak up, her voice both clear and confident as she spelled out exactly what she wanted to the Grecian's before her, “I'm looking for Gideon James Carlyle; where can I find him?”

“Uh… Gideon..?” Looking slightly confused and quite distracted as he gazed up at her in the saddle, the camper quickly righted himself, his cheeks and ears flushing a bright red in color as he felt his friend's hand smack against his shoulder, “Oh, Gideon..! Right..! If you're looking for him; I suggest that you try the training grounds. He's always there or in the armory. “

Stooping her head slightly in thanks to one of the guys who pointed her in the right direction, she once more urged her mare to move forward, following the path that had been lined out for her to follow before eventually, she once again came to a complete stop, though this time it was a few feet away from what she could only assume was the camps training grounds, the familiar sound on metal scraping against metal filling the air around her helping her to relax and calm her nerves, even just a little.

Frowning heavily for a few moments as she looked out at the grounds from where she sat upon the saddle, she leant herself forward just slightly, her hands lowering down in front of her for a few moments as she watched the scene unfolding before her eyes; two of the demigods using the grounds seeming to be going at it harder than the rest- warriors… one of them, the larger of the pair she assumed, had to be the guy that she had been looking for. Patting the horse lightly and rather affectionately against its neck a couple of times, she once again clicking her tongue and gently nudging her heels into her horse's sides, she closed the gap between her and the two guys that seemed to be both winding down from their session upon the grounds, her back straight and her head held high within her pride as she slowed the creature to a stop in front of them both, “Father give me strength…”

Waiting in complete and utter silence until she had the attention of both guys, she once more lowered her hands and the reigns down to the saddle in front of her, her both intense and attention demanding dark eyes moving over both of their figures before finally, they settled upon the eyes of the guy she believed to be Gideon Carlyle.

“Gideon Carlyle I assume- my name is Aella Lorraine Stedford... daughter of Mars.”
