Bio

Thank you for visiting my biography.

I am just a typical Aussie Young Adult juggling social life and work at the same time.

I have not roleplayed in years. I thought maybe I'll re-login once in a while and see how the Guild is going.

I have lost touch with the friends that I've made while I was a resident here. Those of you who were my friends, know that I enjoyed my time roleplaying with you and I hope that it is mutual.

I hope to see you in another life.

Let's stick with the original plan then.

When in the timeline do you want to start the RP? Do you want to start it in the moment the MMO locks everyone in, or a bit after that has happened and people are already starting to get used to it?

I also added my two characters, though I can change them to accommodate their relationship with your character.

There should be just one scene where everyone first logs into the game like SAO, then we should cut to a few days/months later.

I've been hectically busy this week. I apologise for the late response because my occupation required me to stay for ridiculous hours.
It's not forced, more like to make the roleplay feels a little more realistic-- But then again steampunk and VR-MMORPG isn't real (at least not yet). If we're set on our original plan, we could continue to move along. The current set up is actually great. The build revolves around teamwork and communication.
I do not think that a skill list would be necessary, just to get that out of the way. We can practically make our own unique abilities and make sure that we remember them. As for balance of our party, looking at the trend of common MMORPGs (e.g. TERA, Dragon Nest, C9, Vindictus) it seems that roles are less important in those games.

Although in restrospect... I do see the apparent problem. Perhaps my character should be the said Assassin with the Hover Blades. Synergy can be achieved that way! The Bulwark's role is to keep the enemy busy whilst keeping the Assassin and Strategist alive. The Strategist deploys game winning strategies. The Assassin executing the offensive.
How about "techblade" for a generic version, where Tesla Sword would be a lightning element version? That way players can equip with their element of choice.

Excellent observation. We'll use Techblade as the name for Tesla Sword. I think we should begin creating a character?
@Stern Algorithm I think a Tesla Sword. A blade capable of powerful electric blasts. She is able to project the power of electricity through the blade like a conductor, firing it either conically or concentrated.

So something like an Area-of-Effect mage-type? I'll make the DPS-CC combo the artificer then, since I sort of included AoE into the CC concept.

That being the case, were you thinking of being a solo character, having a small party, or even an entire guild?

I was thinking, personally, small party, where my character(s) join up with yours. The minimum party size would probably be three (the trinity of RPGs: tank, damage, and support). So I'd probably make a support-ish character and a tank-ish character to complement. But those are just my thoughts.

I haven't had a chance to really sit down and hammer out the remaining job classes, so sorry for the delay, but this will definitely be moving forward soon.

That's fine man.

You're correct. A small party would be great for our scenario. If I were to play a DPS-CC Character it would make sense to have a Party. I've also considered to become a Wolfstalk... So far I'm torn between the two. I've yet to also come up with weapons for DPS-CC.

I'm also inclined to be playing a female character. What are your plans character-wise?

Yo Eva, welcome to the dark trio in the bathroom
/needs to be shot for making bad jokes

Ok, just saying hi. I think once @MellyNyan is back maybe it's time our characters - especially those first-timers - would begin the experiment to get the powers they signed up for, and going to the next arc (I mean, the ongoing intros among the characters is almost like a prologue itself lol)?

Indeed. And yes you should be shot lol. I haven't really got much to say.
@MonsieurShade@Slendy

Jacque insisted that she was following her. It's correct that she was to get away from Zarr. It's also clear that it isn't working. Zarr himself hadn't made anymore remarks and seems to be no longer interested in her. She attempts to move away as soon as Jacque enters his room. A random direction filled with chatter. She directed herself towards there and moved to see a group of boys talking and she stopped immediately.

@tsukune@King Tai@NekoJordan
will post IC soon.
is there a limit for Characters?

You will be required to wait once you post your character sheet until @MellyNyan approves your character. As for limits, you would need to ask her for that.
I'm honestly not that strict with length, and paragraphs are very subjective. To answer your question, I guess one meaty paragraph or two or more less-meaty paragraphs are good. If you are in the mood to write more, then go for it, but I'm not going to expect a minimum of five fully fleshed-out paragraphs (I left essay writing behind me when I got out of grad school). I usually avoid the 'free' classification because I'm afraid of speedposting (or expectations that I be on all the time) and poor grammar. I'm fine with one-liners if it's just combat or conversation, but I really just want someone who can be proactive to share the load of moving the plot forward instead of just reacting to what I give them. Even though I said my post frequency was about one per day, that applies to IC because I sit down and try to put a great deal of thought free of distractions into my IC posts; I post a bit more frequently when discussing things OOC, especially when starting a new RP, because taking forever to brainstorm can cause an RP to get stale before it has even begun. I see from your avatar and signature that we probably have similar tastes. Any ideas pique your interest?

I actually forgot that I posted here and also forgot that I was expecting a reply. Haha. Regardless, seems like if you're flexible with the posting lengths I'd be interested to do a 1x1 with you. As for ideas, I certainly don't have any in particular that I would like to do but I do have a tendency to lean for 1x1s towards something that has some sort of combat scenario and the typical Sword Art Online/Log Horizon setting. On a group-RP level it is very difficult to moderate but on a 1x1 it is much more manageable and malleable.
