Be sure not to become what you hate. I used to hate those who abandoned RPs without a word and then I became one of them, a lesson to us all

Define "all" Vortex. I mean, I've never played Daggerfall or Arena because getting them to run would be hellish. And most people haven't even played Morrowind which is arguably a crime against the Elder Scrolls series.
Get... Get out... Just leave...
Hmmm I can see the point about settling the matter about which game's skill system to base off of, but that does raise the problem for people who hasn't played all the games, such as myself. I have only played Oblivion and Skyrim and dabbled a little bit into Morrowind to know their skill systems well enough to be able to base a character's skills off of.
Wow you guys are scrubs, yeah thats right, I went there! Ive played them all, including the ones no one knows or cares about like "Battlespire" or "Redguard"
I say probably stick to Skyrim's format since that's the ES game most are familiar with.
But but... What about Mysticism? And Thaumaturgy! Anyway who hasnt played all the ES games?!
Also screw your swords and spells! Not gonna do much good when your body's skewered with arrows! XD
"The only thing better than a powerful mage fighting at your side is... well, nothing, really." - Marcurio (the wanker mage from Riften)
Well to be fair a practitioner of Mysticism is still possible, just because the mechanics were removed from the game (but not entirely because they were combined with conjuration (binding and such)), doesn't mean that its been struck clean from the universe itself.
Aye, but we should settle on one game to simplfy matters
I'm glad to help. We squishy mages outta look out for each other. Uck, swords, so uncivilized.
Lol such peasants the rest of these people are! I was looking over your CS and I was wondering, isnt Mysticism and Alteration the same? I remember in the first few Elder scrolls they had Mysticism but in Skyrim they spilt it into Illusion and Alteration? This brings up a bigger question, what ES game are we using for our skills? Each game is different from the other so shouldnt we settle on one? Or at least for us magikal folk anyway?
I suppose thats only a small change... Screw it, Im changing it Thanks for the help Rossette
Well, it would make less sense for your character to be similar to mine. It would imply that he doesn't have much ability in spell casting due to lack of talent rather than lack of experience, unless that's what you're going for.
Its not. But as I said before I wrote the character not really thinking about the fatc that hes OP, so im at a loss on how to make him weak.
Well look either its that or Keldir is OP. Anyway Rossete said she had a libary, she never said she was good in theory, or perhaps I missed that bit.
I think I'm involved with this as it's about my character, so I'll try to clear up some of the stuff about her. She's indeed a Scholar type character(Hence her occupation) and she is themed toward being better at meta physics/theory of magic rather than the practice(as she is still learning how to master spell casting) at least in non prepared settings.
Whelp, I suppose our characters are going to be similar then
Well look either its that or Keldir is OP. Anyway Rossete said she had a libary, she never said she was good in theory, or perhaps I missed that bit. Anyway Keldir is still skilled in practical magic unlike Rossete's puny character :P
Vortex, isn't that kind of Rosette's character in practice? I mean, I guess overlap is bound to happen, but Rosette's character seemed kind of like a specific niche, if you feel me at all.
No, Not sure I follow
I have no problem with him being a talented Mage but one of the most powerful is much and just having me cripple him so he isn't OP just seems a bit out there
Then I suppose I will take the adivce of TiredNihilist, keep him talented but make most of his skills in theory
Ah good! Another mage! With your characters vast collection of books and my characters hunger for knowledge im sure we will get on famously!
Underwear of Fortify Speechcraft
Whatever works i guess XD

"Ah shit dude! Let go of me, your nails are sharp as!" said the man "Be quiet boy, your lucky Lucifer got you first and not me" said Willis now walking closer "Hello Lucifer, Hello Liz. I am sorry for this inconvenience ruining your evening walk. Now boy, show some respect for your betters and answer the young master's questions" "I-I dont know! I never seen the guy in my life! Please you have to believe me!" "Really? Is that your final answer? Because Lucifer here seems to know your face very well, so I suggest you think again, this time make it long and hard" "I-Ah I think... Maybe? Yeah, yeah ok I think we have met before alrighht? Now will you please let me go?!"
