So then let the people of the world put their heads together and come up with something new. We cure diseases, put people on the moon and create machines smarter than us, we are a smart species so surely we can come up something new.

I find it a little sad that in our entire existence we have only come up with a mere 3 ideologies. See one fall multiple times, Fascism, see another corrupted, Communism, and everyone giving up looking for more solutions and just go with the remaining one, Democracy.
