Spectrum watched Owlman do some impressive feats against the tendrils and he was glad to have a talented partner, it gave him the chance to conserve more energy. There had been several times where he had exhausted his energy reserves from pushing himself to hard and it almost got him killed. He now took more preparations to make sure that he didn't deplete his power. He then noticed that Owlman was trying to tell him something through hand signs and at first he had trouble understanding him, but after a couple of seconds Charles finally got it.

Owlman wanted him to go after the police and give them cover. He nodded at the hero and quickly flew through the door and went after the police officers. He hoped that he wasn't too late and none of them were killed. Because he was inside a building Charles couldn't fly to fast without having a high risk of smashing into the wall. He made sure to keep a lookout for anyone who could get the jump on him and cause him to halt in his search for the police in the building.

how long has the metahuman gene been around? Would they have existed in ancient times? It would be a cool explanation for the mythical heroes of mythology.

Herculean Academy, The Top School for Aspiring Superheroes: Prologue

Sam stopped in his tracks when this woman introduced herself as a teacher and went back to her normal appearance. He had just threatened a teacher and almost immediately his teeth changed back to their regular shape. He felt a little embarrassed at letting his bloodlust and insane appetite get the better of him. Sam watched the others begin to talk and he kept to himself. He took a piece of broken wood from the blast of sound that was made earlier and began to eat it.

Sam didn't stop there, he also began to munch on other things in the cabin. Such a sight would have been very disturbing and frightening for an ordinary human, but he didn't know how his classmates would react to him eating such things. In all honesty he didn't really care, he was hungry and if he wanted to keep up his strnegth then he would have to eat.

"So if you're a teacher then when will be getting to the school?" Sam asked Meredith. How long would he have to wait until they would be at Herculean Academy? He wanted to eat some more real food and not just would and plaster from the walls. Sam also wondered if he should tell any of them about his demonic ties and the fact that he is the chosen host of the power of Beelzebub.
