Wouldn't that make it hard to have your character do anything? From my experience in role-playing on this site, those kinds of characters normally end up with the player dropping out.

If Inferno gets the seal of approval, you be sure that he'll initially be in cahoots with my guy. I'm assuming that everyone in Modern City and around knows about his existence? It would only make sense that they did, considering his size and abilities.

Meta-Human Power:

Wing Manifestation: James' mutation caused him to grow large birdlike wings out of his back. These wings have some control over the air currents that it produces when he flaps them and it grants him ability to fly at supersonic speed just above the sound barrier. These wings are very strong and can send heavy objects flying with a single hit, they also can be used as a defense against projectile attacks.

Wing Regeneration: If his wings become lost then they will grow back, but it will take a very long time.

Enhanced senses: He has all of the senses of a hawk which includes their excellent eyesight that is ten times better than a human and is able to see a broader spectrum of light than a regular person.

Enhanced strength: James is nine times stronger than an normal human.

Weaknesses or Side-Effects: Toxins and pesticides that are deadly to hawks are deadly to him. He is quick to anger and will become distracted if someone angers him enough. Even though he has inhuman strength he can still be brought down by gunfire and other powerful forms of weaponry.

Personality: Even before the accident James had problems with his temper thanks to having parents who argued a lot and a very authoritative mother who yelled at him when he made mistakes. These anger issues affected how he socialized with people and it made him very combative and got him into several fights.

He is good deep down and tries to do the right thing, but his anger leads him astray. Thanks to the fearful looks and angry condemnation of normal people, James has contempt for humanity and coming from a family who immigrated to America after WW2 knows what hate can be like. Despite his temper he was still able to find love.

Background: James was not a very loved child, his parents would argue a lot and his mother was overly strict. She would yell at him when he made mistakes and then blame her husband for his mistakes. This made James a very angry young child and it became very easy to provoke him. His anger issues got him into several fights with kids and suspension from school.

This didn't help his family life and his anger got worse. There was a bright side to his life, he found love in a girl he had met in high school and she seemed to be able to calm him down when he was angry. Her name Anna and he cared much for her. When he finally graduated from high school James moved out of his parents house as quickly as possible and went to collage in Modern City Georgia.

As his relationship with Anna developed more James felt better than he had then all of his childhood. Things were looking up and he was preparing to move in with Anna when the accident happened. He was biking near the area of bay where the ship carrying the toxic chemicals exploded and James was caught in the blast. All he remembered was things going pitch black and awaking in a hospital bed.

At first he felt normal, but he feared of being infected with some terrible toxin when the TV near his bed showed a story about the accident. Anna had been by his side from the moment she had been allowed to see him. She had been terrified for James' life and the doctors reassured them that he didn't seem to have any illnesses inside him. Not long after Anna left for home did James begin to feel sick. First he got terrible stomach pains and then a really bad headache. James' body started to feel like it was being ripped apart.

He closed his eyes tightly hoping for it stop and after what seemed like an hour it did, but he didn't feel the same. When James opened his eyes he looked directly into a mirror and there staring back at him was a man with large birdlike wings. The sheer shock of his appearance made him thrash about the room in a panic and his newly formed wings knocked over several objects in the room. When the doctors came running into the room they were greeted by a shocking sight.

They screamed and James ran and he quickly smashed through the window to make his escape. He hoped that this was a nightmare, but it wasn't, it was real and now he was now like a freak. James then thought of Anna and he couldn't bare the thought of facing her like this and he stayed away from her, breaking his own heart in the process. He soon learned to fly and saw that he had other powers and he began to help others in need. He decided that he would use his mutation to try and do good, but people still feared him and many hated him for what he was. He found a weapon that he would use to dish out justice to those that he thought deserved it.

Other: he uses a mace as his primary weapon and a gauntlet with sharp metal talons as his second weapon.

I should probably note right now before you get too far on the CS that I have a serious disdain for blood manipulators. Hard power to make work in an RP and it has a distinctly 'anime' feel to it. Would rather you went with another ability however my Co-GMs are as always free to disagree with me on this.

Abilities/Skills:

Elemental Arms: James has the ability to morph his arms into a certain element. This power only works with his arms and no other part of his body and he can only have one element at a time. The rest of his body is still just as vulnerable as a normal human. The elements are as follows.

Fire: His arms ignite on fire and become extremely hot, he can also just heat up his arms without igniting them. He can't fire off any flames as an attack and the rest of his body nor his clothes get burned by the flames.

Electricity: James covers his arms in a current of electricity, which he can use to electrocute his enemies. He has to have physical contact in order to shock someone and the amount of electricity is more effective for stunning than being lethal.

Rock: He can make his arms very big and into rock and they still maintain their normal functions.

Hex: this ability allows Orin to hit his enemies with a wave of magic that attacks the mind and tries to cause madness. The spell requires concentration and to maintain and if he looses focus then the spell ends.

Fiend-fire: Orin creates crimson red flames that shape into dangerous animals that attack his enemies. This spell requires a lot of effort to control otherwise it could run wild and burn everything in its path.

Witch Bolt: This power allows him to shoot off massive currents of electricity from his hands and electrocute his foes with power bolts of lightning.

Weaknesses

When it comes to physical weaknesses, Orin is not adept for physical combat and is vulnerable to harm. He has no defensive spells and thus doesn't have too much protection enemy spells. Being a warlock who uses black magic, Orin has a weakness to light magic and divine power.

Personality

As a warlock who uses dark magic Orin has a dark personality which can make him somewhat unpleasant to others and he has on several occasions delighted in causing fear in the hearts of those that he considers his enemies. Ratmen are a race that have never been looked upon fondly by humans and as result Orin doesn't think very kindly of humanity, but he still tries to do what's right regardless.
