Bud was glad to finally be getting some action, but the sorcerer kid did have some bit of a point, but he prefered the idea of getting to show off some of his weapons and blow stuff up. When Nicotine talked about being stealthy, Bud realized that he wouldn't be any good in stealth, his powers were more obvious.
"I can tell you right now I'm no good at stealth and my motorcycle makes a lot of noise. I could be a good distraction as well" he said to them.

Daredevil, the authority and basically all of image are proof that anti heroes are huge still. Midnighter is selling hugely with his new comic.

Besides, it was either that or make a quip about Hawkman's fractured continuity or his political leanings, and that felt in better taste. XD ...Also because DCAU!Hawkgirl had one of the best catchphrases ever so yeah.
I like Hawkman more because I think superheroes need diverse political views. He's one of the few authoritarian heroes out there.
