Bio

Greetings, I am a member of an alien race from a distant and weird dimension. I happen to have a developed a taste for role-playing on the human internet and I am looking for a good community. I am very interested in joining Pulp Fiction, superheroes, Naruto and fantasy roleplays.

When has technicalities ever stopped anyone from making jokes? :P

Anyways you'll need to review the rules for a missing detail in your notes section. While I realize that a higher gravity on a home planet is a very comic book excuse for a character being stronger on Earth, you do realize that he would get weaker as time went on? If his muscles are used to exercising under the gravity that allows him to lift 50 tonnes, there would be very few things on Earth that would actively allow him to maintain that strength level thus causing his muscles to deteriorate the same way an astronaut's do after spending so much time in zero gravity. A hundred and fifty feet is a little high for jumping but I suppose it's alright since we have people who fly.

Also while normally I'd knock you marks for explaining your backstory in your sample, it makes sense in this case as otherwise I don't think I'd accept the character. I do have quite a few qualms with the backstory however as Urxas thinks in terms of Earth politics, notable by his use of 'left wing' and what not. Furthermore, isn't the idea of the Ursas kind of stepping on the Green Lantern's toes?

I have to say I'm very torn on this character. The idea is unique and all, but I almost would have preferred a Were-Bear than this execution. It strikes me as very contrived and unnecessary. To conclude I don't believe that Urxas as he's currently designed is a good fit for this particular RP.

Just to clear this up, there is no problem with authoritarian characters right? Because I'm a huge advocate against one sided politics in comics and that is important for me to know when crafting characters.

As I said I'm taking inspiration from Hawkman who is authoritarian and one of my favorite DC heroes because he balances out the ultra liberal green arrow.

You submitted a bear.

You signed up for this.

He's technically not a bear since his species is not part of the Ursidae family. They just happen to look like them, if I look exactly like Michael Jordan that doesn't mean I'm him or a professional basketball player.

But your guy is unbearable.

Bear puns...really?

He's a bear.

Yeah and the Green Lanterns have a fly and squirrel as members, also Kryptonians have dogs and monkeys. DC is established on the seperate extremely similar evolution theory.

You were saying?

Bears have more fur lol
@Weird Tales
Politics give you wrinkles. He does not use political terms.

I think it is time to make my own sheet.

I don't think wrinkles show when you have fur lol
@Weird Tales
Uh who what now? Leftist? Sorry bit tired right now.

Would your character consider himself a socialist, liberal or anti authority?
@Lord Wraith
DID THEY SEND ME DAUGHTERS WHEN I ASKED FOR SONS! Sorry obligated to say that....

Also anyone want to discuss interactions? I am quite bored right now.

is your character leftist?

@Weird Tales While I do like the fact you've gone with a Man-Bear (I have no problem with monstrous characters I swear!), I do have some concerns based on the sheet's current state. Firstly like Martian Boy, the character seems a little too developed to need to attend the school. Secondly, he seems more like a would be conqueror or invader than a potential candidate for the Teen Titans. The choice of weapons are also of a more lethal nature than I would like. That said I could see you going with a 'fish out of water' scenario so depending on the completion of the sheet I could be willing to give him a chance.

I was basing him off of Hawkman, as for his weapons they can be lethal, but he can keep the freezing temperatures at low level so it doesn't kill his enemies. When it comes to schooling he is good at combat, but only relative to someone of his age since his race is very talented and an elder would be his clear superior. Combat wise I would put him below Dick Grayson's Nightwing in terms of skill and he still has a good amount to learn about earth culture and working as a team. I'll try to explain more in the sheet's sample post of why he is on earth.
