Bio

Greetings, I am a member of an alien race from a distant and weird dimension. I happen to have a developed a taste for role-playing on the human internet and I am looking for a good community. I am very interested in joining Pulp Fiction, superheroes, Naruto and fantasy roleplays.

@NacNak how's it going dude? I haven't seen you in a roleplay in forever
*raises hand and waves it around enthusiastically* Oh, GM, can I ask if there's some big bad or a threat that will potentially bring the characters into this neutral city? Or is this going to be more slice of life-y and we'll just develop our magic-users? Either way, I'm definitely interested

I was thinking of something more along the lines of partaking in jobs and missions kind of like D&D, Naruto and Hunter x Hunter if you have watched those animes or have played D&D. There will be monsters and villains to fight, but there doesn't have to be a big bad who is the central part of the roleplay unless the players want that.

That means that the F-bomb can be used exactly once so long as it ain't in a sexual manner. Fun fact.

Also, maybe interested.

Well I just don't want characters that are like the angry video game who is throwing f bombs constantly

Yeah I wondered that as well, but she hasn't had the same relationship with Grayson post New52 that she had before. She DID sleep with Roy Harper/Arsenal though in Red Hood and the Outlaws. My best guess is they moved her to Teen Titans to pair her with Raven and Beastboy similar to the classic era, but she's certainly not a teen in this current universe that's picking up where the New52 left off rather than being a complete reboot. Also with the adult Titans title, I think the creators wanted more focus on Donna Troy and their new iteration of Lilith/Omen.

It's just one of about a dozen moves DC is making post Rebirth that I wonder WTF the editorial staff was thinking. Like bringing Ted Kord back in Blue Beetle only to make his a supporting character rather than the star. Jaime has failed twice when given a monthly title, why would the third time be a charm when it's basically more of the same thing just now with a mentor fans would much rather be reading about. I don't think JL 3000/3001 is being renewed, so it gives me high hopes they're planning a new LoSH title...

The titans are based on the original team from the silver and bronze age, which is pretty nostalgic for me minus the exclusion of wally. Again i think they're testing the waters since fans don't buy as much and 2nd and 3rd string characters always seem to get canceled. I highly doubt Tim would survive this modern era of comics canceling
@Weird Tales Yeah fans of Damian have it good this relaunch, probably why I'm not as impressed LOL

I expect more from a Teen Titans title I suppose, being led by a 12 year old former League of Assassins member and using the new black Kid Flash in the old one's suit just isn't doing it for me. And they're introducing multiple characters with superspeed in the Flash monthly and talking up some kid named August... and NOT this new take on Wally?

New and fresh isn't always a positive thing. I'd have rather read a title about the clone Superboy and Red Robin than these two tweens. With Red Hood... I'd just rather have a solo Red Hood title. He doesn't NEED supporting characters with powers to make him more interesting. And upping the profiles of two characters with stronger ties to premiere superheroes [Superman and Wonder Woman] just makes it all the more obvious DC isn't willing to take chances with 2nd and 3rd string characters anymore.

Give me a decent Outsiders title instead of more Trinity-related books and spin-offs.

i view it as bringing back the legacy aspect of DC, which was missing in the New 52 and I am a big fan of new spins on classic comics. Also there is a Doom Patrol comic coming soon, which is made of 2nd and 3rd string characters and it should be great.

So I have had this idea in my head for a while and I wanted to try and get this roleplay going. So basically we will make characters with a type of magic powers of your choice and try to be creative. I plan to offer a lot of creative freedom as long as your characters aren't invincible or overpowered. For example you could make a wizard, sorcerer, druid, shaman or whatever kind of magic user that you can come up with as long as it isn't OP. Also this roleplay will not be taking place in a school and our characters will have chances to go on missions with various degrees of danger and difficulty. This is a low casual roleplay and while I'm not crazy about having huge posts or character sheets I expect there to be at least some quality and creativity to your characters.

The World of Create Your Own Magic User

The technology of this world resembles the late middle-ages/renaissance period and guns are a very extreme rarity, which is why magic is the dominant style of war in society. Magic users can either try to live like normal mundane humans or they can be a part of the military and government and have a big influence in the world. You can brainstorm countries and cities for the purpose of the story you want to tell, I don't need to have a full essay on what country your character resides in, but I will create a neutral country for the purpose of having a place that our characters can meet. Demons, monsters, dragons and all kinds of supernatural beings exist in this world.

I'm not as impressed with their line-up of books and talent as I should be, but everything depends on how the Rebirth Special pans out. I was looking forward to the return of the Justice Society and the Legion of Superheroes but that's not even in the plans unless it's something they're waiting to announce. Replacing New52 Superman with the pre New52 Superman who appeared in the Lois and Clark series is also an iffy move for me, since we'll essentially have two Lois Lanes and two Clark Kents, even if it's just the beginning of the relaunch. I don't care for Superdad's son being the new Superboy, or the fact the two newest Green Lanterns are the stars of the Green Lanterns title that looks to be nothing more than volume 4 of GL rehashed with two new Lanterns. Shipping titles twice monthly is also something I'm skeptical about, as it could really help DC or hurt them. Ted Kord finally returning was a good idea, but he's playing second fiddle and mentor to a Blue Beetle who's already failed twice with monthly titles [Jaime Reyes]. And Red Hood's new team of Outlaws is 'a half baked Bizarro clone' and the Amazonian archer Artemis... really?

The only books that look promising to me are the adult Titans, Aquaman, and Deathstroke. And to be honest, the way the new artist on Aquaman draws the scales on his shirt look horrible as well as his general figure composition. A lot of his images have Aquaman looking a bit too barrel chested with super skinny arms and legs.

When the New52 came around the universe lost a lot of it's legacy heroes and history. With the Justice Society and the Legion nowhere to be seen the past and future of this DCU are severely handicapped. Batman Beyond is taking a step back in the right direction with the return of Terry, but rather than get a new #1 they're continuing with the numbering [and doing this with at least a few more series...] which will further confuse any new readers wondering what in the hell DC's Futures End was and what it did to the Beyond-ish Future.

I'm super excited, I'm glad they're taking chances and Redhood and The Outlaws looks like an anti trinity to me, which is super fascinating. I also really love the idea of Superman's son teaming up with Damian in a kid version of World's Finest and is refreshing. Also Suicide Squad should be good since they are using the line up from the movie and I'm pumped for Teen Titans since it has my favorite Robin leading them.
<Snipped quote by Weird Tales>

oh did I? I cant even remember now, too much libertarian on the brain atm lol

okay I may have made a mistake, we all do it
<Snipped quote by Weird Tales>

WHat has this got to do with anything?

Futhermore, who's black hitler, and why should I or anyone care about what he says?

dude I was just making joke about your earlier post about using the term 'gay'
@The Kid Lantern hay KL, are you super excited for DC Rebirth? I'm f*cking stoked about it and have ordered the series I'm super pumped for.
