Alexandra's actions were... questionable, to say the least. What did she think she was going to achieve by teasing him in this scenario? Did she think Itsuko was so anti-Alexandra that she would drop everything just to humiliate her before she killed her? What made her think she wasn't just going to shoot them?
"Is now really the time for this, Alexy?" He shot her a look, his way of telling her to let go. Not that he would or could do anything about it, of course. He saw no way of getting out that wouldn't hurt Alexandra.
"What the hell!?" the stranger yelled "You mean that you and that shrimp are really going out?"

The new girl moved around Lucifer's other side.
You can't be serious.
She grabbed his free arm and pressed it against her, much like what Alexandra was doing.
Was this really happening?
"You won't beat me this time around, Alexy. I'll steal your boyfriend even if it's the last thing I do."
Damn. Now there were two of them.
"Oh great, a menage-a-trois..." he muttered loudly. By now, he was starting to wonder if he was all female assassin's were this demented. The airheaded American, the Russian tease and now this lunatic of a... Japanese girl, mayhap? It didn't matter.
Okay, options. If he choose the stranger, Alexandra would probably be mad at him and considering she was his roommate, that was bad. If he chose Alexandra, the stranger might become aggressive again. If he chose both, they'd be trying to outperform each other all day. And if he chose neither, they'd accuse him of liking the other better and both get annoyed with him.
Well, the priority was to prevent them from killing each other. Rivalry with intent to outperform was much better than rivalry intent to hurt. He was the judge - who won and who lost?
After a bit of consideration, he decided the best way forward was an ambiguous answer that flattered both of them but definitavely chose neither.
Now how would he word it?
"I... can't decide. I like the both of you. I need time to think about it."
