Lucifer Palaiologos
Lucifer waved off Amy and Zephyr wordlessly. There was no need for goodbyes, especially if they were going to be in the next class together.
Amy seemed nice, he thought to himself. Considering all the girls he had met so far were either bouncy airheads or absolute teases, the quiet, shy girl was remarkably refreshing. And Zephyr had a kind of contagious energy about him, something that made Lucifer want to get out there and do something. It was remarkable that the three of them should all be training in the same brutal job. He wondered just how they managed to get into such a business. Family, most likely. He couldn't really see either of them applying for such a duty.
Well, he wasn't going to get to class just by sitting here and doing squit. As much as he would like to put off the torture class - that girl saying "prepare your anuses" kept bouncing around in his head, and he did not like the connotations of that - he would get it a lot worse if he tried to skip it. So he pulled himself to his feet, dusted himself down, gave an apprehensive sniff to his underarm to make sure he didn't need another shower (still smelt faintly of honeysuckle, so he was all good) and set off for class.
Except there was just one problem. He had no idea where the class was being held.
Stunned and without any clear direction to go in, Lucifer looked around to see if there was someone around who could potentially guide him in the right direction. His gaze settled on a member of the Black Class.
He looked around again for someone who wouldn't take his head off for asking them to guide him in the right direction. This time, he caught sight of a Japanese girl with a polearm standing around as if she had nothing to do. That took a moment to sink in. Why was she carrying a polearm? Was that just her random thing for the day or was that a permanent weapon? A knife, he could understand. A pistol, okay. But a spear? That just seemed a little too archaic for his tastes. And that was coming from a guy who had spent the majority of his life in a Crusade-era fortress with no running water or gas.
You know what? It didn't matter. The point was she was there and she could help him. If she wanted to carry around a polearm, that was fine. Knowing the people at this school, it was probably a sniper rifle in disguise or something like that.
Approaching the girl, he smiled and bowed.
"Konnichiwa, miss. Did I say that right?" he opened in Japanese, but moved on to English. It was a more universal language. "Sorry to bother you. I'm looking for the next class. The... torture class, I think it is? Apparently someone called Izumi is running it? I was hoping you knew where it was and could point me in the right direction..."
He bowed again out of respect.
