I was hoping he'd have a more interesting reason.

Unfortunately not. Just "butthurt", or whatever it is that the internet says for that.
Apparently the person who planned the hack on Fimfiction did it because his story was rejected 5 times. o3o

I'm not a huge ST fan.

It's sad. And I really don't.

I don't care for it at all. I'm just referencing it because it's continued for ages.

I don't think it's sad. I myself put a lot of worth in it, and enjoy the show "too much."

New unknown guy.

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

I didn't think so.

I'm pretty sure I grasped that over two years ago when I joined. Then I realized it wasn't worth it, and that people were too obsessed a year and a half later.

>star trek fandom
You underestimate how much worth people can put on a TV show.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>
Jacob said that.

People enjoy that show far too much.

I thought he was saying wow to your statement to him.

I see you're beginning to really grasp the concept of fandoms. Basically, to those outside of fandoms, it's the "people [that] enjoy the show far too much."
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

The quote is just "wow."

Oh no.

<Snipped quote by Vampyr>

You've been able to get through life before. I believe in you.

I don't remember quoting that?

lel
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

After the poetry extension, he said "wow." You worded it as if it was referring to a "woooooow."

Specific shows need not be mentioned.

Quote, please? I'm looking back and I don't really understand.

That's the point--he's going to exhibit examples from different franchises. We are and soon quite a bit of the pony fandom will be excited for such a textbook, as it might set a precedent.
<Snipped quote by Zeal>

I don't see the need for an argument, either.

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

PMing, then. I didn't figure that "Wow" was against me, but meh.

'Tis a sad day when ponies get put into physics textbooks.

Wow?

It's a textbook about physics and how it's applied to entertainment--things like how real life physics compares to sci-fi technologies like FTL travel, or how physics is substituted for by magic in other worlds, or how the magic relates to physics.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

How so?
How do you know he is?

Naturally?

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

Just acknowledge me darn joke, lad. I already understand whatch ya mean.

Well, more like he wanted to teach a class on it. The textbook publishers said there were no such textbooks and then asked him to write it. And he has certifications and often blogs about the subject and his forays into teaching.

He's a huge fan of MLP.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

Forcefully? And the question was about Jacob.

Actively, at the least. And Jacob said he understood what I mean, and he hasn't made any objections.

Oh my goodness. A person on the chat for Ynanhluutr who happens to be a professor in Physics has been commissioned to write the first ever textbook on physics and how it is expressed in entertainment. Naturally, he plans to write a chapter on ponies.
