?: *Only uses the shield*
Not too difficult yet.
*A barrage of cannonballs swiftly fly at us*

*discards the pole and deflects the cannonballs by swiftly angling the shield for each cannonball such that they glance off*
@whizzball1
?: Let us begin.

*the game starts with several dart-like knives flying at the two of them. Each can call up certain items of defence, and for this attack they have for each a shield and a pole with paddles on the ends; the pole's length can be changed at will. Soren calls up both and deftly manoeuvres the pole to block whatever the shield doesn't cover*

How so?

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

It's controlling their mental procedures. There are some I can't let that happen to.

Just like that; we said that we would figure out a time/place for his character to be first introduced to the group.

See my PM.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

I'm just saying that you can't arbitrarily choose a character. There are some that I don't want to be controlled.

Oh, I'm not arbitrarily choosing a character. Each that I have chosen so far has been delicately considered so that the effect I want will ripple just right. And it's not controlling. I don't really want to reveal exactly what's happening, since that's supposed to be the mystery. But I think later I'll PM you about which of your characters I'm considering, and you can tell me if it's okay.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

It's not about "getting around to introducing him." He has to show up first, since none of us is him.

Let's just play the game.

Well we kind of told him that we would tell him when we were ready.

Okay.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

You can't just turn anyone evil though.

But that's the point. "Why are they turning evil? How could that even happen? Who or what could have done this? How did it or they mess with their minds?" Our characters would never even consider becoming evil. This is what happens when they do. It's a bit of an experiment and a plot on a scale much greater than that of Svár's plans.
Are we going to get to introducing MonstrousMan's character? We have several characters freed up now. I have Spirit, Maddie, and Ruby free for that.

David, let's switch between each other for description of the attacks, and provide the items of defence for each. I'll do the first?

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

I have no suggestions cause I feel all could be great candidates.

Hmm... I'll have to think more about it. I'm not going to tell anybody except the owner of the characters I choose who I'm turning evil--shock value, you see.

?: Fair. Standard set.

Got it. Let's do this.
@whizzball1
Haha. That'd be great.

Speaking of that, I still need to figure out which of your characters to turn eeeeevil. I think I've already chosen one for Jacob's characters, but yours I'm having trouble with. It needs to be one that would have a great (as in large, not good) effect on the others in the group. I'm currently deciding which out of two of David's characters to choose.

?: Fair. Standard set.

What's the standard set? Or should I roll with it?

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

Not necessarily. But you can't know what happened to Rhythm without knowing how this world works, and its history. Recent history, to be specific.

Okay then. I'll see what questions I can think of.
