Shinji: so be it.

*all eight Swords are drawn*

Main technique: 8-Armed Wind Demon.

*dashes forawrd, and, in a flurry of attacks, hits you 68 times*

Hmmph. *withdraws all four of my swords and uses them as two flexible double-ended swords as long as I am tall, deflecting or dodging every attack with as much ease as you attack me*
<Snipped quote by Balance>

Yes, but I'm actually writing a list of techniques for them.

Shinji:

*stands still*

Shall we continue?

You have given me new awakening. Let us.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

Or pound symbol.

Or that. But hash is more descriptive. and a pound symbol is £ pleb
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

It's too late. You're already assimilated into the world.

the world that calls things inaccurately :[
#world or #hashtag would be hashtags but # is just a hash.
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

I'm aware.

You just called it a "hashtag." The concept has officially died to me.

A hash. A pound sign. that's the first word I thought of :[
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

There needs to be consistency. The initial concept was to assume the character was where they said they were until otherwise stated, but Ruby jumped in and made it sound like she was there.

<Snipped quote by Galaxy Raider>

I don't think we'd do that, but we could always bring back the ().

But Ruby was with Soren fighting--I never said that Ruby had come over.

<Snipped quote by The World>

It's not worth it, but if everyone's going to get confused over it, I don't want to implement it.

But it won't be confusing, and it will be efficient if we just add a single character, or even two, to our posts to indicate that we are in a different area than the conversation we're taking part in. A slash. A hashtag. A percent sign. Anything. And then all of the problems that we indicated other than the privacy one just flitter away.

Shinji:

*one of the sheathed swords opens up and blocks the attack, and I look at you out of the corner of my eye*

Technique 46, blade dance.

*I unsheathing four Swords, and the other four float around me in a circle, as I dash toward you, and strike your arms, legs, head, and body in mere seconds*

*I deftly block each blow, but one glances me in the shoulder and I stumble back before quickly jumping backwards to avoid any follow-up attacks*
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

I'm serious; I really don't care if it's used or not. It was confusing to me because we've been on the presence system for a year, which has just as many flaws (e.g. asking OOC where a character is located), but it's not worth putting a marking next to every single post. That's ludicrous.

Here's a different idea, then: if someone is speaking with a set of characters that are in a different area, you can put the markings to say "this person is separate." So Ruby would put them on, but Violet, Techi, and Meredy wouldn't need to. The markings don't even need to be consistently placed, just every now and then so that everybody knows.
<Snipped quote by Galaxy Raider>

Everything should be done automatically, considering Data's prowess with technology. This isn't something meant to be an element that's actually considered IC, but something that makes it easier on us.

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

Fair. Scrap the system then; I don't care.

No, I like the system. I'm just saying that markings are going to be needed so we don't get confused.
