When did Ruby get there?

see
this is what I'm talking about
She's using the communication system.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

I don't see what you're getting at. Aren't all beaches on planets?

-Ruby- Maybe it's a beach planet?
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

Private versus public communications. Easily inferred, and the devices are smart enough to know what is/isn't, as long as the people behind them are as well. A general rule is that if they're someplace everybody can access like the base, it's public, which is also an explanation of how people know when to show up. If it's someplace nobody can get to, it's most likely private. It's also extremely low-key. It won't really be mentioned unless necessary because it works independently.

That makes sense.

Everybody.

<Snipped quote by The World>

It spreads as a virus. Within two days, everyone will be in it. I'm not going to put braces around every post of mine because every single one will be on the network. There's literally no reason not to have the system.

This makes sense, actually. Now I'm not sure anymore.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Yeah? But beaches are beaches. Cool, but I'm not going to go "Wow, a beach!" every time I see one.

-Ruby- *giggles*
<Snipped quote by Legend>

But it happened. We can't just change back randomly and have it make sense. We also won't have every character a part of it and have no way of knowing who is and isn't. We need a qualifier.

Speaking of that, like I asked, how do we know if people in different locations can hear each other? Do we have to specifically state "everybody can hear this"? Or do we just reply and hope we're right?
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Yeah? But beaches are beaches. Cool, but I'm not going to go "Wow, a beach!" every time I see one.

Can everyone hear everything over the devices, or is this only for Techi, Violet, and Meredy?
<Snipped quote by The World>

What are you talking about? The characters know exactly what's happening, and this offers a supplement to the current system and a better explanation as to why it's on RPG in the first place. Changing from a network system in the first place was less logical a jump.

I like the idea of having a marker. It actually rather makes sense, since it's coming from devices. If we consider the idea that what we see is from cameras recording everything, then they'll record the speech from the devices, as well, and we can put that in markers to show that it's coming from the devices.
whizz we should add academycraft to the infinity we're doing

Perhaps. But I'm going to be going to church, so we can do it later. This also depends on if it has options for retrogen.

Shinji: so be it, then.

Technique one, Spiritual Release.

*a large wave of Soul energy engulfs me momentarily, then dissapears, as I stand before you, my wounds healed , and my appearance changed, whilst there are several Swords sheathed all around my body*

Technique two, Soul blade.

*I draw one of the blades, which appear broken, until it reforms, with a white mist seeping off it*

Technique seventy-two, Reaper's Bane.

*dashes toward you, as I slash ato your head, leaving a trail of white mist, as the room begins to fill with the mist*

Algol: ..technically that's against the rules,but if they are labeled as techniques, there must be more e to it than what is shown...

*your sword clangs into mine again and then as you land I jump toward you, slashing at your chest with one sword while propelling myself to the side with the other*
