I still need a name for her soulmate. Don't forget about me.
Eve noticed more people entering from the village as the sun was setting. Once the doors were locked down and barred she quietly got up and went to each door and performed a protection charm on them. She felt eyes on her as she did this. She had not told anyone that she could perform magic and she was very quiet about what she could do. People tended to ask for miracles when they knew one could do magic.

When Eve was finished she went back to the table and sat down. Expectant eyes were on her and she smiled. "Just a protective charm. Hopefully, it will strengthen the doors and help to keep us all safe." She smiled with what she hoped was a reassuring smile.
Eve had no idea how they were supposed to help with a beast such as this. She automatically moved closer to the group of men at the constable's words. She looked at the building they were seated in. There were beams and the roof was pretty solid looking. The walls appeared to be well made and there were actual doors that seemed to work properly. She hoped they were as sturdy as she thought they were.

She wondered if it was just a large bear attacking the village at night. Possibly even just some other animal she thought. She hoped fervently that it was just something the men could quickly hunt and kill. She shuddered at the thought of it being an actual monster.

Eve sat and watched the young girl serve them all dinner. She seemed distracted. Eve thought to herself, she couldn't blame her she would be too if she were her.

No problem :) Done and I'll be back in the AM.
Eve, curious and worried asked, "Sir, what kind of beast and what exactly is it doing?"

She had to lift her skirts just so she wouldn't trip over her dress on such a steep incline. A couple of time she nearly lost her footing only to have the constable grab her arm at the last second. She looked over her shoulder to see others having the same difficulty. The terrain could be a serious issue at night if one was unfamiliar with it.

Valyna sighed in exasperation. Was there no one who could follow orders in this century? Every one of her assistants had failed her in some way or another. Was it really that hard to go pick up a person at the airport? Valyna had been waiting for the corporate hot shot from Europe and now she finds out that he was lost at the airport because her assistant Sharon couldn't manage simple directions. She picked up a highly valuable tanzinite stone off of her shelf and threw it shattering Sharon's desk.

Valyna grabbed her keys and walked out of the office and called for her car. When she got down to the garage her car was ready and she climbed into the Mercedes and drove to the airport. Normally she wouldn't care if he got lost but she needed to butter him up a little for the deal he was supposed to back her on. She put her foot on the gas and the tires squealed a bit and soon she was at the airport. She called him on his cell phone. "Derek? Where the hell are you?"

He was at the exit at the wrong terminal but it still only took her a minute to navigate to him. Derek got in and immediately said, "You need an assistant who knows the airport." He said frustrated. "No worries, I'll make it a requirement on my next job add." Valyna replied. "You hungry?" Derek grinned "always! Where are you thinking? Italian?" "Of course!" Valyna laughed at her friend.

Valyna was at a stoplight when the name and date on her arm disappeared. She looked down and became a little agitated. Derek noticed and asked her if she was okay. "Yeah, I guess. It's just weird to know that he died and that he will be so easily replaced by another name."

Valyna dropped Derek off after dinner and she went back to her estate. She was thinking about it again and picked up a paper to look for his obituary.
@Silent Observer

Thank you and I hope you feel better!
@Aisling

That sounds great. I'll have to remember that. Do I need to get a soul mate name first and from whom?
I guess I will introduce myself. I'm enjoying the fact that the rp is moving and is not one that stagnates for days on end. To let you all know I am online nearly all the time unless spending time with my husband in the evenings after dinner. Yes I am a grown adult. Wick is short for Wicked. Wicked is a name I had in an rp for three or four years and I loved it so much that I had it tattooed on my left arm.
@Silent Observer Thank you. Do I need to wait for a name or do I just go ahead and post?
