Freya

Frustrated as all get out Freya felt the fake him disappearing leaving her on her knees. She looked up at him and glared at him. He was playing with her! This made her angry at him and even moreso with herself. She needed to be prepared for these types of things. If he had wanted to hurt her he certainly could have. She grabbed up her roots and headed onwards after the princess and Theoduin.

She couldn't deny that there had been something there. She shook her head. There couldn't be he in the trees she had been on top of a ...a what? He had been real at least for part of it. What the hell kind of elf could be corporeal one moment and then air the next? Her senses all stayed on high alert as she listened carefully for movement and she stopped for a moment.

Hearing Theoduin speaking to Sabina she walked up to them from behind a tree. Seeing he was holding the princess' hand she glared at him. "Hey! Let go of her or I'll make you!" Her pride had been hurt a little bit. She didn't like knowing that the other elf had played her.

Theoduin

Looking up to see Freya popping out from behind a tree he dropped Sabina's hand and stepped away about a foot. "You seem rattled. Are you okay? Did something happen out there?" He was concerned. Not only was she suddenly a little bit upset she was covered in grass and leaves from her encounter in the woods.

"I'm fine!" She snapped. Theoduin smiled at Sabina and took over leading them to the spring that they liked to swim at. Freya brought up the rear again but this time she was more alert.

Yes it is. There was just not enough interest. I hope to see you in something else. :)

Marybeth Baker

Marybeth was tired and aggravated. She stepped up to the man and poked him in the chest repeatedly with her finger. "Their father is in some kind of comatose state and their mother died in the fight. How should I be treating them? I'm the only one left from the life that they knew. Am I supposed to abandon them? They are children!" She glared at him and said "My father was the baker. I slept in his home every night. I just worked in the castle too."

She blinked back tears as she remembered the bakery being set on fire and hearing her mother's screams. Neither of her parents made it out. She shook her head and stepped back from him. "No idea, I left him when I found my room."

Lol I hope you are having a happy day! Poor Arthur. :P

Marybeth Baker

Finding the kitchen empty again Marybeth went towards the infirmary to check on the king. She found him to be unconscious but his heartbeat was steady. She looked around the room at the others many of whom were pirates and she checked pulses and spooned water into all of the unconscious men and gave water to those that were awake. She wanted to help but she didn't know much about medicine other than how to stitch up a wound. It looked like Anastasia had already done that so she stuck to working on making them more comfortable. She ignored the dirty remarks from the more raucous men and pretended she didn't understand what was being asked of her. When she left there she felt like she had made a small difference in the day for those men. Pulling her hair back out of her face she felt the wariness in every bone of her body. She looked up and saw Arthur staring at her again.

"What? What are you staring at now? Did you think I would kill them because they were pirates? I'm not royal either you arse!"

The captain brought Marybeth to the small crew cabin and opened the door. There were a few beds. More than enough for Anastasia, Beatrix and herself. The beds were small barely enough for the human body to fit and definitely uncomfortable for a tall person. She thanked him and put her carpetbag in the room underneath one of the beds on the far side of the room. Then she went back towards the kitchen.

Marybeth looked up and saw Arthur glaring at her and the children. She glared back at him and she turned back to the princess and told her to lock the door. Then she ignored Arthur completely and continued down the hall with the others.

Marybeth looked into the room for the children and bit her lip. She was glad that Alastair seemed to cut his sister's comments off before she got them out. She nodded to Alastair in thanks and she followed the captain to find her room. She squeezed Tiffany's hand and whispered. "It's going to be alright. This is only temporary. I'll be back soon."

@Animera
