Well, in terms of electronics, Yllendthyr is kinda putting a focus on them. Precision and small scale stuff is kinda their specialty.
What I forgot to mention that Yllendthyr will be leading in battery and electric motor technology. Given elven physiology you can also bet their gyros are pretty advanced.
Radars will be commonplace as stationary installations but only my largest and more advanced vehicles would have them as part of their equipment.
As for subs, they exist but the elves didn't realize their true potential.
They are small, their torpedoes are limited and short ranged and generally these are better for scouting than sinking battleships.
In retrospect though Yllendthyr has all means to make a deadly submarine force later. It just won't happen for a while.

Thank you for making my nation's specialty useless, Skepic XD

Now I have to go and change plastic to our prime industry because everyone will want Kavuria.
Oh right, I was supposed to be one of your chief buyers in helium.
Oh well, there are tons of other products you can sell.
Really, chemistry is such a thriving business, even in the 1940s.

While making some adjustments to my NS, decided that adding in a changelog would be extremely beneficial. Also debating upon introducing a metal unique to Eisenkreis as well, though unlike Mithril, it would not be exported to other nations, even those the Red Queen trusts.
I opted against this idea for my mithril because it would make my nation some kind of "special snowflake" who has tech advantage over others just because.
No, don't take it as a snip at your nation, even though it almost sounded like it.
I just mean my nation had mithril variants for over a thousand years and there's simply no way others couldn't have gotten their hands on it. If by nothing else they could've just scavenged elven equipment to get mithril.
So yeah, I deduced there's no reason others could not use mithril if they want to. The only difference is in their level of industry with it.
As such I went for the other direction and had Yllendthyr trade with mithril, albeit only to a limited extend.

@Willy Vereb

Sure, that deal would work out fabulously. I'll update my NS with the materials. Mithril would definitely be used more so in light aircraft as opposed to heavier airships.
Well, that, and I doubt you'd be getting enough mithril to also use it on your airships.
Most other nations only really use mithril for high-performance springs or as expensive upgrade to certain high-velocity components like propellers. They are expensive because Mithral is relatively rare outside of Yllendthyr's borders and more importantly because nobody else has the industry or know enough of the procedure of creating Mithril to make that in sufficient quantities.
They are also prone to lose some of their qualities if melted completely so mithril outside Yllendthyr's borders is generally wrought cold.
It's slightly a pain in the ass both industry and logistics wise so I only advise using this for vehicles that really need it.
@SkepicWould you mind if I import Kavuria from you?
If it's really better than hydrogen and non-combustive then I have no need for helium.
I suppose your processing methods are also working with far better yields than what they had for helium (which is why it was less affordable in WW2), which means your Kavuria is either cheaper or about as expensive as helium.
Long story short I'm sold.

In return I can ship you various Mithril variants for aircraft frames. They are pretty efficient for that purpose.
I am also working on my nation sheet, even if slowly.
Currently I am halfway done withmy military section and then I am good to go.
Is this part of map still available?
I think I will just play as a small nation, it somehow suits me.
Hope that that part of the map was not taken xD

Cyclone took it a long time ago IIRC.
But he was wiling to part from it if things come down to that, IIRC.
Check the world map posted in the previous page or the one before it.

@SkepicHate to steal your thunder but my elves also have bird-like characteristics and noted to be leading in aviation technology.
Of course there are no absolutes but in these aspects we may be too similar.
At least I hope you don't have giant birds to ride into battles...you'd be actually the third nation to do that.
Then again given your birdish characteristics I think it may even make the most sense for you.

Anyways, I'm not saying you can't do this. I'm no GM and there are numerous way to make things stand out. I just say you have quite a competition. Then again elves don't rely so much on airships as their bodies are made for high speeds. They'll be investing more in airplanes while airships would either be used for less notable purposes.
If anything I think Yllendthyr would've among the ones who invented airships first.
Albeit it's quite possible that multiple nations came up with the same idea roughly at the same time.
Alternatively Yllendthyr never thought about using hot air balloons and only joined the "airship party" when hydrogen and helium were began to be in use.
Aren't we all?

Updated previous post with Nation Location. Shall post NS fairly soon.
Your location is right between the Russians and the Soviets.
Yup, they are two separate nations here.
Your downwards neighbor are inspired by middle easternish culture except they're very-very aggressive at spreading their religion.
I can kinda see why you hate everyone now.
