Fun Fact: Thanks to their funky Mithril construction all of my ships, even my carriers, can be built as sub-warships according to the Washington Naval Treaty.

Eh, maybe I'm just nostalgic for the old RP with more republics. Still, half those things you mentioned there are one of and half the other nations are autocratic empires. If that's the way it's going to be though I can't do much more than complain (but I'll leave it rest).
Imperialism is in the theme of this game.
Remember WW1 which lead to the fall of empires never happened here so everyone (or almost everyone) is still in their Scramble for Africa colonization glee.
Also technically empires aren't deciding if a state is democratic or autocratic.
Britain is kinda half the birth of modern parliamentary democracy and it's a constitutional monarchy which also used to be an Empire until just recently.
If I have to split this RP between monarchies and non-monarchies the result is roughly half and half.
If i have to split this between democracies and autocracies the result is similar, or may even swing for the democratic side.

You will have to forgive my lack of enthusiasm for yet another caesaropapist absolute autocracy.

Nothing wrong with you or your nation, but the world's feeling awfully bland at the moment.
It's a backwards country with Pharaohs. Of course it has such a style.
And nah, I can't see what's so bland about Neo Egyptian Pharaoh state.
We have authocracies, consitutional monarchies, republics, fascists, communists, feudal japanese and all other flavors.
I might be slightly blind because I can't see anything boring in this.

Btw Willy I'm not sure if that's directed at me but reading up on them makes me inclined to say that's fine.
We decided to judge everything as a community which is why I posted this before deciding to go with it.
Granted, my 133mm cannons are unlikely to sport this load yet because they're too small to be economically viable.
But my 244mm and 288mm bore cannons will.
Basically cruisers will be my mainline ship, even moreso than to other races.
I'll possess two battleships but they're mostly for appearances.

BTW, since my projectiles are light I plan to use tandem-warhead navy shells.
Basically imagine a large-bore shell fitted with half shaped charge and a delayed explosive warhead.
This mechanism is very similar how battleship cannons and iron bombs work except they don't need another warhead to do the job for them because the dense iron cap does the job alone.
Shaped charges cost more than a block of iron and of course they take up more place away from the HE charge. They're also more expensive so they're using lower diameter projectiles to save volume which further reduces the explosive power. On the other hand smaller diameter guns can threaten warships and up to its entire range. So you could say death by a thousand cuts.
The low calibers also further discourage Yllendthyr to build large battleships and they only have that as a symbol of prestige.

Does it sound okay by you?
Tandem charges aren't anything really new. They just never required them much. Just like how shaped charges in general sat in the patent library for decades before somebody realized to use them in war.
This is another eccentricity from Yllendthyr which is balanced yet also gives them a certain style.
Oh, I'll repost this in case you missed this Willy.

I read your post. It's just that in my free time I'm busy with many other things including 3-4 other RPs.
I'll post when I can. I'll preferably start with Yllendthyr's OP.
@MihndarSpeaking of your symbol. Since it has the imperial two-headed eagle with the hammer and sickle does it mean you aren't against Imperialism in general?
Alternativel since it symbolizes the union between the Church and the State does it translate as you aren't the least bit secular?
Although it could be also explained with that the eagle is your national symbol and nobody really protested against you continuing to use it.
You may also invent different symbolism for the two heads.
For the most part I think our crowd is good at discussing things and coming up with a consensus together. When an argument does occasionally come up, I think Mihndar can arbitrate fairly. No need to have a ton of GMs in my view.
That's exactly why I said i am not sure we even need tech/war mods. People may come up with new techs but for the time being we should establish the political atmosphere for this game. We didn't even got past that in the previous incarnation of the game.

@Voltus_VentusNation Games on other sites also have technology and war mods. If anything I can help you out in those fields.
So if somebody would come up with a new technology or awesome warmachine they can consult me.
Same in regards of war outcomes if there's a disagreement.
Not sure if there's a need for such title here but I can help you in that.

Sure it would be more fun, but from the perspective of the PRK the important thing at the moment is strategic interests. The revolution has to survive before it can enforce its ideas on everyone. So Ekaterina's tactic is to make concessions in the hope of appearing a little less radical.

I'm also looking at this from the perspective of the fact that there was no French Revolution in this universe, no massive spread of the ideas of liberalism and nationalism (yet). So naturally any communist movement that appears in this context is going to be less radical in comparison to one in which the ideas of democracy and secularism are already well enshrined.

Yaaas a banner~
Secularism would be necessary for modern nations here, IMO.
Yllendthyr technically has that as while the emperor is the traditional leader of Arvandor his title is more of a figurehead than somebody who actively guides religion.
State laws also have little if any relevance to the way of Church and religion is only called upon for motivational purposes.

also as my example shows Secularism has little if anything to do with atheism. It has more in common with religious freedom.

I'm still stuck between some Thai Empire, West Texas (And some surrounding Territories), or a united Iberia (with some of the former colonies in the Americas reclaimed)
If I may ask, which one of those 3 sound the best.
As I said in chatzy I'd love to work together with Space Texas. Even had plans to have them as NPCs.
I am more neutral to the rest, IMO.

Also apologies to @LordZell for saying the divided America was duck's idea.
Albeit now that I remember this means having Texas as a sovereign state i practically impossible.
How about Californa, then?

BTW, for political purposes Newton crater will be renamed to the more patriotic Eötvös-mélység (Eötvös depths). Because they can.
I've decided against my phillipines nation, just ignore that map and flag.
(That moment when the OP of the RP is having trouble coming up with a nation)
There are so many other potential ideas.
For example I plan to conserve Duck's idea about USA being fragmented and this is one of the reasons why space exploration is suddenly a thing.
Without space programs being a matter of US security, which is kinda the situation right now, any nation can claim any portion of space so long they are the first to develop on it. Hence why Newton's Crater could become a Neo Hungarian colony in the future.
