The non-Human people of Japan would probably fall under the catagory of Mutant (Human descendants with recognizable humanity; abhumans). Even the Kemonomomi are human enough to fall under the mutant catagory, though they may be seen as "lesser mutants" they certainly would not be seen as Yao Guai (beastmen).

As well, the Han are not stupid, they know when to look past prejudices for oppourtunity when a friendly nation shows up among the agressive like Mongolia and Madagascar, or the fickle like Tibet. Japan is a good trade partner to fall back on if Tibet decides to cut off Trade agreements, and with them safe access to North India and Iran.
I see.
I wonder how did Japan pick sides during the Great War.
@ClocktowerEchos

On a different note I should write a NS for the Novogrod Empire sometime this week.

This is another one of their design. The Goliath mega artillery.
As you can expect they gave the enemy quite a scare.

Pictured: Novgrod Empire's ISG-152 self propelled artillery which was one inspirations for Hungary in late war and post-war mech developments.
I wish to wait for a couple more responses before calling the vote.
I am also eager to hear your opinions in general.
@Willy VerebGoing to be completely honest, you're the last person I ever thought would have told me that
I just thought your attention to Japanese would demand you to use the more fitting term.

Yay, Finally a friendly nation in Asia

Also, Asia is turning out to be a very sexually liberal place in the Post-War World; the Han Government itself promotes a modified version of The Fángzhōngshù in order to encourage reproduction for creating a larger population and just to have sex to keep up happiness among their population.
I thought your nation hated beastmen.

@ClocktowerEchosKemonomimi is the word you are looking for, Clock.
Nekomimi are only for cat ears.
Personally I am afraid that C option may lead to escalation.
I mean what's to stop us from using magic to explain pretty much everything? I am not against it but perhaps the best if I warn you what would happen with that.

This thing has been bothering me for a while, where did the fantasy NRPs go?
I know we have games like States of Evolution but for many months now we have practically no classic "make your own nation" type "medieval fantasy" NRPs. It's kind of bothering me since then.

Long story short I try to remedy this. But before we start making profiles I wish to hear your inputs on the setting in particular. I have several map choices for you. Depending on which one you pick it'd pretty much decide the overall style of the game:

1.) Caeruin
A nicely detailed fantasy supercontinent. People can establish all sorts of nations there and we can later agree on the actual scale.

2.) Eleysia
A more dispersed world with quite a bit more water to cross. Best if you don't wish to bother too much with international politics since pretty much everyone can do whatever.

3.)Fantasy Map
This map has a large continent, some sub-continents and plenty of islands to cover. Ideal for certain scenarios.

4.) Earth Map (EU4)
Picking this means we'd go down on a semi-historical route and preferably age of discoveries timeline. Europe and its surroundings are the center of civilization with relatively small but highly developed countries. Blanks not occupied by players can be filled with historical NPCs for ease.

5.) Strangereal (Ace Combat)
One of the best fictional world maps you can ever find. It's good for either a colonization/discovery age setting or a loose NRP with nations spread everywhere.

.

.

Choose whichever you like the best.
Another point which often needs to be discussed is magic. How much of a fantasy you wish to make the game out to be?

A.) Low-Fantasy
Grounded setting with perhaps some strange creatures or fantastical races. No explicit influence of magic.

B.) Fantasy Nations
Elf empires and dwarven clans. Dragons and griffs. Fantasy metals of great strength. And the occasional mage. Magic itself isn't common but fantastical elements are everywhere. Perhaps the easiest to RP. Barring a few exceptions Lord of the Rings is like this.

C.) High Fantasy
Magic is everywhere. You can have floating castles, legions of demons and the undead, fireball throwing mages as part of your regular army and so on. Even if it's not likely the common man bears it, magic is involved everywhere. Think of Dungeons and Dragons or Warhammer Fantasy.

Pick whichever approach you like the most.
After we settled on a map and game style I will post the guide to make NS for this game.

@PolybiusThis game does sound like to be competing with New Dawn. I like the idea but I am already occupied with that.
@AltRightHeroI had a similar idea before. I made interest thread here but it turned out to be more successful on a different site:
forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/..
Feel free to steal bits of inspiration from there if you want.
As for nation ideas I have a few but I am sort on time to explain them in detail.

- Kingdom of Neo Hungary: Basically a constitutional monarchy with the old pre-ww1 Hungarian territories.
- Socialist Republic of Germany: Think of a neo communist Germany which builds on the fruits of the 22th century science rather than Soviet ideas.
- Helghan Empire: A Greek-centric fascist empire.

That makes sense. How many Vega's are in their navy?
I haven't decided yet.
They are developed just a decade or two ago so I figure there's only a limited number of them. Granted, Federation's rate of production and development is crazy compared to our conceptions so as you can expect they are already working on a replacement of the Vega while these ships have yet to fill in the numbers.

As another note the negative stigma of the Last Great War had grown to such extend pretty much mentioning anything war related is like a swear word in the Federation. Especially when associated with someone. The fact alone you have warships and waging war on us is enough to turn the public opinion in Starfleet's favor regardless what we did. Because you're crazy warmongers while Starfleet is apparently better.
