@Willy VerebThe tiny island to the far west you have tried to claim is me. Back foul beast!!

Though we are also Elvish, so welcome to the family.
@Willy Vereb Azurei is also Elvish. A kind of dark skinned, tribal, desert nation. It'd be interesting to see how we interact, especially if your elves have a very different culture.

I don't wish to infringe upon your ideas so it's possible I'll go for a different species.
My elves tend to be physically frail but naturally dexterous and agile. Their longevity and love for life also make them appear cowardly by the standards of other races and prefer raids and ambushes rather than facing their enemy head on. They have troubles to recruit their kin to fight as melee infantry, for example.
If we can chalk these up mostly to cultural differences and subspecies shenanigans I would be fine with it. If not then my species would be the elf-like but more obscure Yelinor who live up north and while has some familiarity with elves they are another species.

EDIT: I also wish to include some fantastical elements that are usually important to form my nation the way they are. First being a lightweight metal which is somewhat worse than steel and more difficult to work with. Basically think of "mithril" but way less powerful and relatively common. My elves have aversion to iron (especially when cold-forged) and due to their light bodies they require lighter weapons and armor so a fantasy metal is preferable.
If your elves wish to have similar "light metals" as their common material then I am completely fine with it. If not, I can have "Tinchel" (metallic ice) which would be my iron replacement.

Another element I haven't seen for other nations is the flying mounts. I have a prominent force of air cavalry which might be a minority of my army but their importance would be still considerable.
Would they be fine? Think of Griffins or giant birds. They would have bird like characteristics which means they are fragile and have stricter weight limits and there are numerous nuances which does force them in the range of archers when fighting but this is still a matter I'd want to get cleared on by the GM.

In this case, it's part of having a pre-existing world with general guidelines instead of a sandbox, which has its benefits and drawbacks.
The lines do seem to be tailored for specific players at times, tho. So I am not sure on that.

@Willy Vereb, they're language groups.
But why make claims on the culture of nations the said players should have no control over?
That doesn't seem to make sense to me.
For the record Yllendthyr has its own language and elvish is kind of mandatory for their human subjects, as well.

EDIT: Basically such are often handled organically in other NRPs, usually through discord chat to make closer relations between nations.
On the other hand "D'oh". I was caught skimming over the last two paragraphs which does explain this culture/language line.

BTW, I think it's easily plausible that the humans inhabiting my continental holdings were natives of that language/cultural group but since then elvish rule is slowly changing it.

Anyways, what are the portions separated by those non-continuous lines? Geographical locations? Claims of a larger empire?
It's a bit confusing to be honest. I assume they are lines separating different regions and nothing more.
So here's my prototype claim:

Yellowish green claim, the one named Yllendthyr.
I might come out and make an elvish nation.
If the name Yllendthyr is familiar then you can already guess what I am going to do.
EDIT: Do you have a discord server or something?
Nowadays it tends to be close to mandatory to maintain the community for these games.
Uruk of course participates in this game.
and semi-nomad centaurs (pardon the lack of sheet link, Willy wasn't/isn't quite done)
Ouch.
Gotta work on to fix that.

Hello,@Flagg! How's your time nowadays?
I could easily throw my hat in with a Mongol themed orc empire.
Is it fine if I go for a heterogeneous nation with several if not dozens of provinces with their own flavor and including multiple species?
EDIT: Hmm, maybe my orcish horde variant could be more fitting. We'll see when I cook up a quick preliminary NS.
Wouldnt martians ( if everyone decides to fight them ) just wipe the floor with us since they have lasers that could prob cut our ships in half :P
The beauty of energy weapons that you have far more freedom on their interpretation.Yours assume it's a sorts of doomlaser, mine was far more reserved. Also I only had 10 original Tripods with various degrees of disrepair while the locally manufactured ones were far more modest in capabilities. That being said Duck basically hated my guts for the Martian faction, balanced or not. So even if the game would've gotten off the ground it'd have most likely went on without me.

And yeah, this game died years ago. If you're interested in a similar game I'd suggest starting a new one. If you aren't confident at GM-ing one then gather more people and brainstorm one up together.
