I'll eventually get a real bio in here.

Don't go into nation roleplaying with myself, duck, and the former Star Empires people. You'll get that crap a great deal more.
@Whoami
I believe that the nord's tattoos would be in the database, then.

I'm assuming that by saying "Looks good," my character is accepted?
A) Sorry for calling you a guy
B) I'm annoyed
C) It's simple tactics. While throwing all your cards on the table is fine, I prefer something a bit deeper. Putting everything I could possible think of with this power would be lengthy. And it'd also mean that everyone else would immediately be defensive and would face my character, if they needed, knowing exactly what they were up against, and figuring on whether or not they could legitimately beat me through IC accidental discoveries and such. If no one realizes that my character can only use three useful weapons, then they will expect every weapon he uses to be deadly- if he summons a halberd, they don't know if it will actually cut them in half, or disintegrate. I have bad experiences with putting all cards on table and letting everyone trust everyone. That and I like something a bit more complex.
D) Someone who controls air could suffocate anyone. Someone who controls shadows could kill a man from the inside out, because, believe it or not, there are shadows inside one's body, because there are empty spaces inside one's body. A small dagger made out of that shadow could pierce the heart, or the intestines, and it'd be plenty enough to kill or disable. Likewise, someone who has the ability to control water could probably control the acids in one's stomach, or the liquid that is actually in our bodies. We may not be made out of complete water, but there is water present. Someone who controls earth-like elements would be able to lock anyone in place, and launch a small rock at someone that could completely shatter something. A bullet is a tiny little piece of metal. No matter how hard you throw it, it'll never pierce skill. Take that bullet and give it velocity, and it can make a man disintegrate. Any power can be overpowered. Any power can be legitimate and still be overpowered. These are superpowers- controlling the growth of plants could mean making a grove of highly poisonous plants that kill anyone that comes near, much less tries to hack through it or push through. Or just put them to sleep. Shifting into an animal would, if you did it right, mean an unmatched edge in combat.

The difference is, my power is not directly affecting. I cannot say, "You are dead because I dropped you into an alternate reality where there is nothing." I can only say, "I brought this sword, and am bringing it upon your head." Likewise, I could also say, "I have this alternate version of me, but because their power and actions take up my strength and power, I could not effectively fight with them, because their power and strength are more than mine, and so their using it would mean my collapse."

Hardy hardy har. You kicked a power that's perhaps the most harmless of them all.

I can't make a flood of water. I can't read someone's mind. I can't redirect and aim fire itself. I can't control the bloody shadows. I can't teleport, I can't heal myself, I can't do any of that. The only direct thing my power does is keep me from dying, by importing an alternate. I can form a tool or weapon, or let me wear some clothes. But I can't be nearly as 'dangerous' as any of the others.
@Ghost Shadow
Being the lazy fool I am, I like to go along as I originally understand it and admit derp whenever I derp.
Odd how there was so much interest in the IntCheck, but very little of them got onto the OOC (and since it says that most of them are still online... yeah)
@HaleyTheRandom
Work this out? You said you were uncertain, I clarified and changed, and then you said it's good. Then your coGM said it was good except for a few things, after I sent him the conversation and explained everything a bit better, and I add those few things- nearly exactly, since they were exactly the things I was going for- and you immediately (relatively) reply, saying that it's not good any more.

That's not being unable to "work things out." It's because I come up with something completely new and you not wanting me to go apeshit with it and screwing up the roleplay, because it's a difficult concept- anything quantum physics is difficult [and makes me giddy]- and could have unforseeable actions, because it can be a diverse tool. Having a power that controls metals sounds like a completely 'safe' and 'traditional' superpower, because, hey, it's metal. Like a more focused earth. Except, the modern world uses metal in practically EVERYTHING, which means that someone with power over metal would have power over weapons, communications, transportation, food, everything.

Don't call it what it's not. It's not a mishap, and it's not something that we just happened to not agree with. You agreed and he agreed and gave me no reason to think otherwise, until I finished it all up with the suggestions you two gave, and then you flatly say it's a no-go because I could surprise you with being creative.

And it annoys the hell out of me, but I wasn't originally going to say that.
@duck55223
A) We ain't got nothing to discuss that's really relevant, and while this is a roleplay, in a roleplaying thread, we ain't some school classroom. Calm down.
B) It's very*. I know you're trying to sound formal and superior by being all fancy-talking, but highly and annoyed don't really sound good together.

I guarantee that if someone has some legitimate questions, I will shut up with random nonsense and answer. It's not all spam- we are talking about something, trying to be light-hearted and friendly. I will shut up and say something relevant if there comes a discussion about the roleplay, but there ain't nothing, and if you want to just make this complete and total pure Ashes to Ashes chat, then this suddenly becomes less writing-for-fun, because we are not here because we have to be, to more of a strict teacher overlooking a classroom, and making everyone talk only and specifically about the teacher's spoken topic and whapping anyone who don't with a meterstick.

Loosen up, mate. The worst we're doing is keeping our roleplay at the top of the NRP thread list and showing that we're all mostly active and friendly, joking about but also giving decent posts in the process.

Come on, even ZadabARGH talks about the Reply Blob. Any straight-faced must-write-because-reasons would put down any mention of it, but going on about heretics and all that with the Reply Blob? We're having an enjoyable conversation... at least on my end. I am not serious about it, of course, but it's just... to fill the time.

When Raidne posts, I will reply to both her and Zad. If I have a question, I will ask. There is no harm being done. Being annoyed because people are being light-hearted and conversing in a non-angry way or a non-professional way is just... out of place.

Of course, you can show how uptight you are by banning me because I dare speak against you, and because I dare defend how we're enjoying a chat with each other, and mean no harm.
@Whoami
So, what, I can't add my own bit of flair? D:

He's intentionally calling her- I'm already thinking of the AI as a her- "Intend" rather than "Sigil," because calling the AI by an actual given name would be, for him, acknowledging that it is an equal, or intelligent enough to be thought so. Because Sigil is an AI, the nord doesn't think it worthy of a name, and calls it her whatever "Intend," based on the AI's purpose- a Superintendent AI.
I...
Think I'll drop out, then.

First roleplay demands anime-only, second roleplay says my accepted power is no longer accepted because I might do something surprising.
