Mithias stood next to Cassandra. "Thank you Mr. Cotto. That was most informative." As much as Mithias appreciated Max taking the call, he hung up abruptly. There was a young mage's life at stake.

"It's a kid in a suit." Mithias said to Cassandra as he replaced his phone and began approaching the others. He raised his hands and voice to call out to them in urgency, "Jaklo, Drake! Hold your attacks! There's a person in there!" Taking such a person alive would be far more valuable then taking back a dead, uninformative body. Mithias would do his best to preserve him.

Mithias ran up toward the main golem, putting himself in plain sight of its path, yet keeping just out of reach. He stared at the black orb which likely encased the driver. "If he can see me, then perhaps I can seduce him."

All vampires apparently had an innate magical charm, and as long he could make some kind of visual contact, it might work. As soon as Mithias felt he had captured the golem's gaze, he gave it a command. "Cease, and stop where you are."
@Polyphemus Sorry. I'm mostly miffed at jason for being lazy.
@Polyphemus If you read what Seph said, he said nothing about what the other team found in the basement, the signs of conjuring, etc. I was hoping you'd actually want to rp what the character would say to each other. That way, I get a more realistic idea of what Mithias would know. But It's fine. We can just metagame and skip actually being in character and all that jazz.
@Polyphemus, you feel like typing up a quick rundown for my vampire?
@BlackPanther Alright. Are people still not done with finals? Btw, great opening post, @Ojo chan 42.
Devon stood alone, gazing out into the "wilds." The whole of the horizon wasn't really "wild" per se, but rather he looked out upon miles and miles of what was once human cityscape, stretching out as far as the horizon. Finally, now, nature was taking it back, growing trees where there was once only merciless asphalt, raising boar and wolves and elk where there was once only death and smog. Devon loved nature, and the Earth. Humans had been a blight upon the planet, a seething mass of greed and selfishness, a devilish race from which he was glad to have been rescued by the vampires. He'd give his life for them again, gladly, now that he was old enough and wise enough to understand things.

Birds startled at his approach as he walked along a ledge, still fearful of anything that resembled a human generations after their disappearance. Poor creatures. Devon inclined his elegant head at them. Of course, nowadays, animals weren't the only creatures that roamed the wilds. There were monsters too. Most of the monsters seemed to have gone dormant since the disappearance of the humans. Fortunately, they didn't seem interested in vampires. Devon spotted one that appeared to be moving, and he followed curiously.

What was he doing out here in the first place? Didn't he want to be around his kind? Get himself in the good graces of the powerful and royal? Maybe not. Even vampires had their human-like flaws. They too could fall to greed and overabundance. It was true that they protected the humans, but they also farmed them like cattle. It didn't' feel right to allow intelligent creatures to suffer, even if you were just going to eat them later. It was possible to drink a human's blood without killing them.

Devon slid down the ledge and ran after the moving monstrosity to see where it was going.

@BlackPanther@kurai assassin Waiting on you guys.
@Nikki Moonlight So what do you think of the CS?
Ilyndriel cringed as Khaine smacked-down Doom. He had declined accepting an apology, but maybe he was right. Whatever Asura had done certainly had caused a lot of damage and even killed several of the insect-people. Was Asua so dangerous that he needed to die? And what if he *had* controlled Khaine as the infernal knight had said he tried to? Could another "accident" happen again one day?

Ilyndriel was in essence silenced, as she could do very little about the situation in the heat of the moment anyway. Khaine began his death-march toward Asura, and she was left in the shadows. She looked to see how this Maka person was doing.
