As a sort of halfway/meeting point. I could try my hand at creating Bianca's older sister? She could be a senior student, have very limited knowledge of team VGNB for interactions with them but be on team JSS_. That way hopefully everyone can be somewhat happy?
Clearly I misconstrued (accidentally) your final PM. I deeply apologize for that, I will begin working on a new senior Hunter/Huntress immediately, thank you for your time.
I'm sorry, I must've been unclear. I just meant that I don't want to continue speaking about it because I don't want it to become and unnecessary argument.
@Prince of Seraphs

I don't believe so. There's no reason we need to have an automated response to anyone who leaves and returns, you can make a judgement on a case-by-case basis instead of leaving it up to they left now they want back in. In a player vs player arrangement I think it's fairly obvious that one member would sit out. Just as any team who advances in the tournament in the RWBY canon sits out all but one fighter. The example you relay about teams ten to fifteen strong are ridiculous and honestly it's pointless to even talk about it.

It's fairly simple, I approached the GM of this RP, apologized that I left without a word and we worked out an agreement. My grandmother passed away and I wasn't putting RPG at the top of my priorities.

He then decided that he would let me back onto my team, if every single member of my team was alright with it, if not he would've transferred Bianca and that would've been that. But they were alright with it, forgave me for my absence and it ended. If you disagree with Lug and you think that a five man team threatens the fabric of the RWBY universe and the RP, then you will have to appeal to him.

He's the GM he makes the rules and what have you. But I do want to be clear that as I stated to Lug before, I've already told him that I will be flexible with making it work. If that means I have to sit out of Vytal, so be it. I asked Lug if he could see it working and he said he could. So that's where I'm at with this right now.

This'll probably have to be my last post on this topic, I don't want to add fuel to an unnecessary argument and I appear to be speaking to four or five people who share an opinion which means I'm not going to do anything to sway you.

RWBY's one cardinal rule in an entire host of contradictions and loose lore elements is that at academies, all teams have four members. If that's changing, then I don't particularly like it, but whatever. It's the fact that up to this point, every other person who has disappeared from the game, with advanced warning or not, has gotten totally screwed out of their spot and replaced, and the fact that VGNB filled up OOC with "please please please please please" until they got a fifth member doesn't sit well with me. A lot of those guys are my friends, but it's the truth. It doesn't sit right with me.

But if that's changing, officially, then fine. As long as, after this point, people who fall off the map aren't summarily replaced and assumed to be dead, missing, or dropouts wandering the streets of Vale penniless, and are left available to return in the exact same way. If that's not the case, then this decision was made in pretty poor taste, in my opinion.

I agree with just about everything you said there should be consistency. I will say though, you don't make the old way sound very appealing: people getting screwed out of their spot but that is neither here nor there. However I'll let you know that me and Lugu actually spoke in PM about different ways for me to come back. Originally he asked if I wanted to make a senior character, or have Bianca transfer teams. I told him I'd probably go the senior character route as a five man team wasn't really a possibility. He told me that it was possible, just that the other four needed to be alright with it.

We didn't fill the OOC with please please please. I went to the GM and discussed it.

This is absolutely true. And now that it's been brought up, I'm perfectly content to let anyone who wants to chime in do so, and Lugu to maintain or modify his decision as he sees fit.

All I would like to see, honestly, is some consistency with whichever path is taken.

Completely agree, just didn't want this to turn into one of those: "I'm right, you're right" situations. Remain level headed and try to remember that this, as Harine pointed out, is for fun :)
I'm not saying you should disallow others from the conversation, all I am saying is that filling up the OOC with your opinion on the matter and my opinion and anyone else's, should happen when there is a GM present who can actually make a decision, as it is there's to make.

I'm sure Lug knows what he is doing though as he was the one to allow a five man team and has okay'd a mission for us already. I'm sure he has some kind of plan, or he simply thinks a five man team doesn't rupture the RP. I won't speak for him. But I will say that I appreciate you bringing it up and keeping it civil. If he changes his mind then we can pivot, if not then we'll just go along with how this is going.

I'll be honest though, the lore of RWBY is a particularly loose one. That being said, I don't necessarily disagree with you, just do't think you should let it ruin your day if one team has five members and another has three. Technically speaking, there should never be a team with three, shouldn't be operable and they shouldn't be allowed to exist. Because it's always a team of four. Yet here we are. So I don't know go talk to Lugu.
@Plank Sinatra

Too true, almost forgot about their interaction. Should be interesting seeing that no one else on her team seems aware of Raven.

Either way this isn't really a conversation for me as I hold no decision making authority here. If you really want to object it, talk to the GM. Either way, I asked him if he could allow it, he said he could, thus here we are.
Eh Talk to Lugu about it, wasn't my call. I will say this though, in a roleplay, something without stats or crunching numbers really. There isn't much of a difficulty. There is a conversation, relationship between the players and whoever is playing the antagonist. Saying it's easier to cooperate with five people is similar as me saying it's unfair for one semblance to be stronger than another and all that. There's hardly a game to break. Either way, I'm no GM so talk to him about it.
