@TheSovereignGrave they do have turrets, but main guns are not on a swivel. it's the main guns that count.
@Ophidian don't let me scare you off, I have about the most impractical fleet in the RP. it's small enough of a fleet that you can... fly around it. I'm going for an interesting dynamic, not to kill everyone ever.
BTW, how large are the warships of people?
Mine would be between 200-800m with Vega-class being around 675m.
Although I plan to have my ships being relatively small compared to what everyone else has.

my largest is at 175000m.

@Keyguyperson I hate play-to-winners in play-by-posts, so no reinforcements here.
@Keyguyperson I specifically said it was the equivalent of an arctic outpost, it's effectively off the map anyways. So while tenably they DO have contact with the rest of the Union, the chances of getting a response are about 0 because it's like an ant trying to communicate with an elephant. The elephant 1. doesn't give a shit and 2. can't even see the ant in the first place.

EDIT: Also gross planet-sized factories, my stuff's already powerful enough that it feels wrong to have more than 20 ships and 10,000 soldiers.
@Ophidian Ew, time travelling death stars, no thanks. What I've got stated there is what I've got, and it'll stay what I have because thousands-of-years-to-respond-to-a-distress-signal thing I've got going on. 20 ships, no matter how large, are very incapable of being in enough places at once to become super effective due to the pure size of space. The battleship and carrier are def. something long range, but the galactic class is basically nonmobile, used only for extragalactic warp, and the others are, well, just really advanced ships that are hard to take head-on.
@Ophidian I specifically said they're about the same power as the other nations. It's just super fucking concentrated into a really small area.
In which I make an avian extragalactic empire that's sent a small scouting contingent into the galaxy, about equal strength with the other nations, as a "god fuck there are so many galaxies have this arctic outpost assignment".

ill work on a nation when I'm home
