My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

...they're related! *gasp*
"Looks like you're somewhat off the hook as they won't be pressing charges against you," Agent Hawkins said as she approached Melanie and Jonas in the middle of their conversation. Melanie sighed in relief, but she wouldn't thank the couple, much less apologize to the woman whom she had beaten senseless. It would only complicate matters and Melanie didn't feel like being detained, not after she'd been handed a get out of jail free card.

Both women stood up, and Hawkins' partner, Agent Stevens, started to leave as well. "Thanks for sticking up for me, Jonas. I promise we'll have that date very soon." They said their goodbyes, and Hawkins escorted Melanie to the nearest shuttle.

"I'm sorry to ask, Agent Hawkins, but I have an appointment in about 30 minutes. Is there any way to maybe...I don't know, let me see my last patient for today before I have to go back to my room?"

"My hands are tied, Doctor Larson, I'm sorry," she replied.

"It's okay, it isn't your fault."

As both women reached the entrance to the shuttle, the door slid open to allow them access inside. Being that Agent Hawkins needed transportation for official business, she was able to reroute the shuttle's scheduled path with her badge to allow her and Melanie to be dropped off next. The ride wasn't that long, lasting only about five minutes before they were dropped off in front of Melanie's quarters.

"Well, here you are," Hawkins said, pushing a few keys on her screen. "Please stay out of trouble, it will only get worse from now on."

"You got it!" Melanie waved her off, then went inside her room and walked directly to her bed. She'd deal with work at a later time. For now, she just wanted to rest.
"No, dear Nate, I have not seen Beneath. But let me guess, it's some B-list horror movie about a group of close friends who stumble into a mineshaft and are then killed by the big bad monster inside."

She gave him a playful shove, mainly out of relief that he was back with the rest of them. Vin and her were completely out of their element here, so of course they're going to want (or need) Nate to help them move along. Not that they would openly admit it, or at least she hoped that was the case with Vin, as inflating Nate's ego would only make him 10 times more annoying than he already was.

"I'm afraid I already know the answer to this next question of mine, but are we really going in there? Are you sure there isn't an alternative? I'm just scared for our lives, Nate. Staying in that mineshaft makes us sitting ducks and I know Vin, Christi, and myself would much rather avoid that sort of trouble, regardless of how fast it gets your adrenaline flowing."
NOT happening!
I say we torture him!
And that post will include moving us along, right?
Hey cut him some slack, ol' Peter is retired and all.
Given the day she'd had, Elizabeth was looking forward to dinner a lot more than the previous evenings. She was extremely hungry, and no longer feeling nauseated. After her shower, she made her way to the cafeteria. Along the way, she saw some familiar faces, including another patient who she had never personally met but somehow seemed to be paranoid beyond words all the time. He easily stood out to her, but she never felt like approaching him. Shit was already going down in that place, and Elizabeth wanted to stay out of it all. Someone like him would be running into trouble, not away from it.

"Hey you."

"Casey, hi!" Elizabeth turned around to greet her friend standing behind her in line, another patient who had been there nearly as long as she had. "I didn't see you there."

"Funny, I haven't seen you around all day today."

"Nobody likes a smart-ass, Case..."

Both women giggled as they moved forward in line. After they both got their food, they sat together in one of the tables farthest away from the entrance to enjoy their meal and chit chat about the latest news around the hospital.
I just had to make the old man stop. I mean, who wouldn't, right?
Kelly's body was trembling, and her mind a mess of various thoughts and emotions that could drive a regular human being to total madness. But she wasn't a regular human being, not anymore. Being well aware of that fact, though, Kelly thought it was best to focus on herself at the moment, and nothing else. The past was already behind her, and the future could wait, or at the very least it could hold off until she figured out what to do with herself first.

Being that she was weak beyond words, and the smell in the car was as foul as all hell, Kelly pushed open the door and dragged herself out. It was quite the sight to say the least: a blood-covered naked woman crawling out of a car that had just crashed on the side of the road. But that's exactly what the driver of the truck saw after he had pulled over on the side of the road to look through his rearview mirror. Deciding that he'd be a terrible person if he didn't at least offered to help the woman, he turned off the vehicle, unbuckled his seatbelt, and got out of the truck to rush over to where the woman lay barely holding on to consciousness.

"Miss, are you in any terrible pain?" he asked, crouching next to her to cover her up with his jacket. Because she wasn't able to form a coherent sentence, the old man fetched for his phone tucked away in one of his jean pockets and proceeded to dial 911.

"Yes, I'm on Road 41, about a mile or mile and a half south of the gas station by Wellington. I just witnessed an accident, a woman swerved off the road and crashed. It's just her but she's covered in blood."

A brief silence, then the man spoke again.

"Yes, of course. My name's Peter. Oh, alright, I'll do that then. Thank you ma'am."

He hung up the phone and looked down at Kelly again, her eyes still closed but at least she was still breathing.

"They'll be coming for you very soon miss, just hold on."
