My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

Amelia had been walking for goodness knows for how long, without as much of a sign of Stalkers nearby. Either she had some incredible dumb luck, or they were patiently waiting to ambush her. But when she started noticing some sign of "civilization" in the distance, Amelia's anxiety slowly disappeared as she picked up the pace to avoid any last-minute surprises.

Eventually, Amelia reached some tavern on the side of the road and hurriedly made her way in. She was long overdue for a bit of food and water, and even though thoughts of what might have occurred to Dmitry plagued her mind, she had to focus on herself at the moment. Later on, when things settled down again, she would attempt to find him. If he was alive, that is.

Inside the bar, Amelia eagerly took of her gear as she made her way to a small empty table. On the way there, she accidentally bumped into the back of someone's chair, dropping her bag on his lap.

"Shit, I'm sorry about that," she said a little flustered, trying to ignore the stares of some of the other bar patrons.

"I understand your apprehensive attitude towards me," Amy addressed one of the women, "but let me assure you they wouldn't even think twice about putting me on board this ship if they thought I'd be more of a liability than an asset to the team."

Amy's tone of voice wasn't argumentative, but rather, it displayed enough confidence to get the point across. She did, after all, never wasted a chance to defend herself.

"Trust me, if I were in your shoes, I'd also be questioning having a blind team member aboard the ship for a mission such as ours, but I do have valuable resources at my disposal that doesn't make me any more of a liability than you or the next guy. For example, the head piece of my amor is equipped with some recent technology which allows me to see basic shapes and outlines, especially those of individuals, as well as their heat signatures. I can't necessarily make out precise details such as eye color, but I doubt that's a necessity when we're dropping them like flies. Oh, and in case you're worried, my armor also allows me to lock in to whichever heat signature I choose so that I can tell the bad guys from...well, you. And let's not forget my heightened sense of hearing, although that one's more so annoying than anything else..." Amy refrained from continuing to blab on. She wasn't upset that the woman had questioned her presence amongst the rest of the team--in fact, she was expecting some defiance from the others.

When the ship left the docking bay, Amy nearly fell to the floor, but she regained her footing and tightened her grip on the door frame until they reached smoothed cruising.

"I'll take my luggage from you now," she said to the man with the accent, unsure of whether he was still a few feet away from her.

Alrighty then, I think I'll step out of the room for this one...
I had actually planned to meet up with some characters with the post I had planned, but I'll rely on this one more GM post and then take it from there.
“Sure, trust the blind girl to patch you back up. What could go wrong, right?” Amy smiled sarcastically, wondering what the hell he was referring to when he mentioned Skelly. She did genuinely like the man’s accent though, if only because it was different and goodness knows Amy appreciated the hell out of accents. They broke the monotony of having to listen to similar voices all the time. It’s like being stuck listening to one specific music genre; there isn't any sort of variety.

“But really, thank you,” she added minus the sarcasm, “I promise I won’t be this much of a bother once I become familiarized with the ship. The first day or two is always the hardest, then it's easy as cake. But you know, what can you do when they throw an assignment on you at the very last possible moment."

Amy found the door frame again and braced herself for departure, hoping to all hell that they just hadn't sent her to her death.

I don't see anything wrong with reusing the same settings and groups, although if you have something in mind then by all means go ahead and use it. Sometimes a small change for a reboot isn't a bad idea.

As far as the storyline goes, I say you keep it more or less the same since it was never completed. That's just my opinion though.

When someone named Stryker practically welcomed Amy with open arms, she couldn't help but feel a slight tinge of satisfaction. Apparently her captors had glamorized her skills, if only to make her seem like a more suitable candidate for this mission, but it nonetheless helped her fit in that much better. The poor Alliance bastards were shooting themselves in the foot and they didn't even know it.

After they were dismissed, Amy wanted to go down to her room and get a hold of her commander given that she already had much more information than she would have expected, but then a few moments later, Stryker made the announcement that they were just about ready for departure. With that, Amy frowned. She reached out a hand to place it against the nearest wall, taking a few steps forward until she touched the cold surface, when she heard someone address her about her bags being somewhat of a safety issue.

"Mind helping me?" Amy asked, turning her head towards the male voice, "I'm not the least bit familiar with the ship and I'm afraid that I'll end up with a broken arm or a leg if I attempt to make a break for my room at the last possible minute."

She stood still as a statue looking down at the street below through the window of her 9th floor hotel room. It had been nearly an entire day since Jen had last eaten, but the fear she felt held her back from venturing outside to get some food. Simply put, she was desperate at this point. Neither one of her parents were answering their phones, and likewise, Jonas was missing in action as well. If he hadn't survived this...catastrophe, how could she? But time was running out, and the thought of slowly starving to death didn't sound the least bit appealing.

"Screw this," she said to herself, walking away from the window. Jen grabbed the dinner knife from her room service tray and went to the bathroom to wash it, but when she turned on the faucet, the water wouldn't run.

Fucking perfect, she thought to herself.

Looking around, Jen grabbed a towelette and used it to wipe the blade clean. She looked at the knife for a moment, wondering how in the world it would help her against a horde of zombies... The thought alone was weird. Zombies? Those only existed in horror movies, and it was a subject you would never think you'd have to worry about. But, they were real now, as much as it didn't make sense, and Jen would simply have to rely on her survival skills to get her as far as she could.

With the knife now securely stuck between her belt and her pair of jeans, Jen left the safety of her hotel room and walked out into the hallway. No sign of life out there, and she wasn't sure whether that was a good thing or it was bad news. She took the nearest flight of stairs to the first floor lobby, and didn't notice anyone around save for a stray dog sniffing around the mess on the floor. Jen didn't pay any mind to it, knowing that she would eventually get too attached to it and that it would place her at a greater risk in the future. When she reached the double doors at the main entrance, Jen collected her thoughts for a moment before stepping out into the streets. She scanned the area to take note of any potential vantage points in case things got out of control too quickly.
@Ashevelendar Looking around for now. The Magi positions are very limited, I'm guessing you have a plan for those characters?
