My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

The water was surprisingly refreshing on her face, and Amelia couldn't help but long for a nice, warm shower. She wasn't like the rest of those savages out there who couldn't care less about hygiene, but that was simply because of their gender difference. The young woman grabbed a couple of paper towels to dry her face, but unfortunately, the pressure in her head didn't go away, and she figured it was best to let it pass with time. After all, it's not like she was poisoned.

Exiting the ladies' room, Amelia carefully walked back to the table. She refrained from mentioning anything to the guys and quietly resumed eating. She hadn't had a drink in a while and it could very well be the alcohol that was affecting her so quickly...or at least, that's what she told herself since the thought was much more comforting.
Maybe it's time for another GM post?
As the two men kept discussing arrangements, Amelia only listened while she ate her food. It was simply common sense to stay the hell out of other people's business when it didn't concern her. She downed the rest of her drink in one attempt, and almost instantly felt some slight pressure in her head.

"Excuse me for a moment," she interrupted, pushing her chair back to walk to the restroom. This time, she couldn't care less whether people were staring her down. If they had a problem with her, they would have already made such matter clear.

Amelia went through the door, noticing it was a small, two-stall restroom. She walked over to the sink and placed her hands on either side of it, leaning forward to study her reflection. After a few moments of staring at a tired and slightly dirty face, Amelia turned the faucet to splash some water on her face.
As soon as Kahleni heard that they had an hour to prepare before their journey, she turned to the guard beside her and held out her arms in front of her. "Can you please remove these? I need to get ready for this mission."

The guard leered at her, but eventually he reached for his keys and unlocked the shackles on her wrists and ankles. Kahleni then left the room without saying another word to head towards the nearest supply shack. Outside, she saw the other mage standing around as if he didn't have a care in the world. She felt a slight sensation course through her veins, and she made it out to be a combination of both her release as well as being within such close proximity of another mage. But Kahleni kept walking nonetheless, wanting to avoid the others as much as they avoided her for the past decade and a half.

@Dynamo Frokane what's plan b? Maybe make Yancy the riot officer while still maintaining his leadership role?

That's alright, no harm done
Amy leaned forward and placed her hands on either side of the sink, her grip tightening around the steel surface as she took into consideration just how true Arex's words were.

"Unfortunately for me, you are absolutely right.  But, I'd much rather let them underestimate me than have them think I walk around without a flaw. I wouldn't do anything to endanger us though, so please don't think of me as a liability, despite my lack of sight."

Had she otherwise not been blind, Amy would have been starting directly at her reflection as she spoke. She realized just how nice and thoughtful Arex was being with her, and she couldn't help but wonder if he was deceiving her in any way, just like she had all of them fooled. But despite his intentions, she nonetheless felt a slight tinge of guilt.

Amy cleared her mind for a moment by splashing some water on her face. "I'm not a bad person, I'm just here to do my job."

Finally, a truly honest statement from her, or so she hoped. Amy grabbed a handful of paper towels to dry her face.

"I suppose I should go back to my room now to get some rest before our arrival."

Amy heard footsteps behind her, although she didn't necessarily get up to figure out who had approached her.

"Arex?" she said in a raspy voice, tightening her grip on the dampened cloth he was offering her before wiping her mouth clean. "I'm fine...for now."

She held out a hand and when she found Arex's arm, she used him to pull herself up. "I'm not sure what came over me, but I started getting flashbacks of one of my past missions and it all came back to me..." She was only half lying, although she started to admire her own ingenuity. But then the terrible thoughts invaded her mind again, and despite her empty stomach, her facial expression clearly changed. "But thank you for checking up on me, doesn't matter whether they sent you or not."
