1. I'm in school to become a physical therapist assistant! (Did it!)

2. I will quit any roleplay that has been inactive IC for one month for any reason. I've been in too many Schrodinger's RP's and I'm not doing that anymore.

Jill Henderson

--timeskip to 7:15 pm--

"I shall be there in but a moment!" Jill exclaimed from her room - a usual declaration. Unlike usual, she kept to her word. After two minutes, the Normal Human emerged from her sanctum adorned in a shimmering navy dress. She positively adored the way this garment's blue sheen helped to downplay the ominous violet glow that emanated from her bones at all times. But the gleam of Jill's attire failed to brighten the grumpy look on her face this evening.

"Now remember, boys," Jill began in a much duller, snarkier tone than the morning's cheer. "I am not searching for some 'man of my dreams' to 'complete me.' I accompany you merely for the complimentary beverage. The only man I must meet today is Captain Morgan."

In truth, Jill could not ingest her drink, and could not get drunk from non-magical alcohol. But nobody needed to know that. She wished to use apparent drunkenness as an excuse to moan ceaselessly about another disastrous job interview to anyone unfortunate enough to be assigned as her speed date.

The not-a-lich took one more look in the mirror and slightly rotated one of her glass eyes.

"Well, it's a quarter past seven. I suppose we should be going, unless we wish to be fashionably late."

Yeah. I go back to work on Friday, so my part of the story may stop zooming ahead of yours soon.
Eric frowned at Faye for a second, jaw clenched. But then he sighed an 'okay' and stretched his right foot out for a clearer view. He could still bend the ankle (though it hurt) - the reporter at least knew enough to know that was a good sign. This was usually the type of thing he would "walk off." Eric felt a bit uncomfortable to be babied like this and tried not to look at Faye. He turned his attention to Emily instead.

"Oh, okay, I'll do what you need," he replied in a quieter voice than before. "I don't want to scare any Pokemon. I'll take whatever path is necessary to stay away from them."

The black-haired man briefly looked out at the ranch. It seemed pretty large and well-maintained, at least from what he could see. But this snapshot wasn't enough to really tell how well a place was run, how well the Pokemon were treated. Still, Eric had seen much worse, and this place didn't look newsworthy enough to pique particular interest.

"What kinds of people adopt these Pokemon?" Eric inquired. "How can you be certain that they're going to good homes, as you claim?"
I love writing for this character. It's hard, but I like it. My usual writing style is straightforward, descriptive, and careful about proper grammar. And then Aaranya is like WOOOOOOO

OO
Aaranya Singh

Aaranya broke into a cold sweat as the woman shouted and chased after her. She envisioned a mob of torches and pitchforks forming behind her as she ran. Shoes clack clacked too loudly on the street. She had a head start, but her dizzy legs, her shoes. Torches. They were too fancy for running as the thing shouted and chased after her she had a head start clack clack but the distance between faded Aaranya breathed in sharp gulps. Exhausted, thirsty, pitchforks.

After a few minutes, Aaranya had to stop and lean against a gnarled tree to prevent herself from falling over. She turned halfway toward the following woman, attempting to use her frayed braid to hide her face.

"STOP! Don't come... uh... I'm a GHOST! St-stay away!"

It seemed the women didn't mind Eric being there. At least they weren't openly hostile. Though they didn't say much, so he couldn't be certain.

The reporter adjusted his hipster glasses and glanced back toward the fence. He detected no sights or sounds of running Pokemon. Maybe the wild Pokemon would've left him alone, anyway, and all this work and awkwardness was for nothing.

"If you don't want me nosing around here, would you mind directing me to the shortest way out? I can leave right away."

Eric shifted to stand up but winced as he put his full weight on a pained ankle. The reporter eased back to the ground.

"...I can leave in a few more minutes."
Aaranya Singh

Aaranya's heart beat faster at the woman's question. She was seen! The voice sounded shaky... was the quake of fear or fury? Either one could be likely. She also heard people moving, waking and walking inside the shop on which she sheltered. It was stupid, stupid to walk this road -- everyone would see!

And, of course, there were no voices to goad her on in this time they could actually be helpful. Aaranya had to be her own voice of fearful force.

Run, NOW!

Aaranya burst from her hiding place, supposedly dead girl sprinting for her life, attire whirling down the street like a lily in a hurricane.
