Bump!!
I presented this idea to a potential Rp partner, but they have yet to respond (and I’m not sure if they will). Regardless I am BORED and love this concept so much that I am going to make an interest check in case someone more active would be interested! I’m going to copy/paste the plot and my criteria below. (warning: it’s a LOT and I wrote it after work when I was exhausted, so please forgive any errors and the plethora of run-on sentences!)

——
What I’m looking for:

• 18+ (I’m 24)

• lots of communication OOC: I need to chat and discuss ideas, of course. But, I also love to make new friends! I mean, duh - why not?

• Semi-advanced but also semi-relaxed writing styles. I can write multiple paragraphs and get super descriptive, but I personally don’t think I’m the best writer yet I do try to proofread, pay attention to my grammar, and punctuate. Post length is totally flexible. Longer or shorter - depending on what is going on and what you prefer. Fair warning, I do tend to get carried away and write a ton. Hoping to find someone who doesn’t mind!

• Subplots & Side Characters

• Character sheets! It depends on the tastes of who I’m writing with. Sometimes I prefer to jump right into the story and flesh out the details as I go, but I love having a highly detailed sheet to update with notes as not to get lost in the plot. As far as visual references , I much prefer written descriptions than art or faceclaims. Mainly because I’m so picky it would take me too long to find just the right one!

In the case of Romance:
• Gender doesn’t matter (for my main oc, I do prefer playing M roles, but I don’t mind playing F)
• I looooove a slow burn!

• If you are unable to write (vacation, sick, etc) just lmk. We can also pause from posting to casually brainstorm!

The Plot:

Something is telling the clairvoyant criminal not to break through the vines of a cavern hidden in the forest, but a stubborn knight is hot on their trail! Normally they would have listened to their intuition, it was always right, but this was a game of cat and mouse - and they supposed karma was finally catching up to all their swindling and thievery. Just when the cunning trickster thought this was the end, that the next moment they blinked, surely, they would see the bars of a cell shut, but fate had other ideas for punishment…

A knight is chasing down a criminal and they accidentally stumble into an ancient cave that has long since been overgrown, reclaimed, hidden, and protected by nature for hundreds - if not thousands of years! Inside this cavern is only one of many sealed portals to another plane of existence. One that should never blend with the one they know, but in the criminal’s struggle not to get captured and dragged off, the seal is quietly disturbed and not even noticed… yet.

Before I go any further, I want to explain a bit about the world lore. In this universe, magic exists but compared to the past, in the present - it is both normalized and rather minimalistic. Simple magic like potions and small amounts of levitation. Little stuff, right? Well, back in ancient times, humans couldn’t even use magic, but the origins have been obscured.

Generations have passed down a great legend. Mostly by word of mouth yet few records from the age happened to survive. The following is mostly considered folklore, little do people even conceptualize that the nightmarish bedtime stories actually happened. Tales of a Great War between men and demons from a realm somewhere beyond. in ancient times, humans were slaves to these dark powerful entities until humans discovered sources of magic of their own and how to fight back against their oppressors. Like a flash of lightning, they rose like a pheonix to reclaim their world.

This uprising happened due to what I’m going to label ‘Mystic Radiation’. Essentially, this is magical energies simply leaking through the rips in the fabric between the worlds, and so, humans evolved. So this explains what happens next in a nutshell. The knight finally apprehends the criminal with a type of magic necklace/collar that - once is slipped over a head - leaves the individual under the control of the knight bonded by blood to it. Only basic commands are permitted. The knight can order the criminal to follow them, hold their hands together (so not to fight or touch anything), and sit still. It can NOT command the criminal to bark like a dog or stand on their head! In addition, no one but the knight can remove it and the criminal cannot step more than [insert reasonable amount of distance] away from the knight. Like magical handcuffs without having the hands tied!

Anyways, not a moment after the knight places the criminal under arrest, they notice a tear emerge from thin air! Already a beastlike creature spills out of it and the knight withdraws their sword, meanwhile the criminal is forced to sit (prior command) and watch the knight in total terror! Although the criminal is a seerer, and able to just *know* things, they don’t know about demons and certainly cannot fully put together what is happening before their eyes! They think it’s the end, and by that, I mean the beast chomps down on the knight’s arm! And most definitely would come to the criminal for dessert! When they shut their eyes and prayed to ‘make it quick’, the knight was able to detect the monster’s weak spot! Only the teeth sunk in. No limbs were harmed. Permanently, at least.. Adrenaline must have made the knight painless, because miraculously, they were able to make the demon drop dead! (Note: I think we can get creative here.. demons could come in any form. All shapes, sizes, abilities, and power levels, but this one just so happened to be more animalike and weaker of the bunch, after all, the knight got lucky - not knowing anything about this creature or demons in general!)

Both are shaken up, there is still a mere morsel of a portal hovering in the air, and not even the criminal knows what to make of this. All either of them could tell is that this isn’t good…

Suddenly, the clairvoyant could get a feeling that they need to visit this old wizard. They could try to persuade, but I don’t think that the knight would believe the criminal. They make the dumb decision to completely brush the portal off (crazy I know ) and take their catch of the day back to the prision. They of course have their wounds cleaned up only for strange markings to appear on their skin. Worrying, yes, but the knight doesn’t have much time before demons start causing chaos amongst the kingdom. Perhaps when the knight guild is gearing up their horses and armor in a panic - that’s when the knight decides to go out on a limb and listen to the criminal’s warning and acknowledge the obvious omen of the portal, now completely opened and pouring out.

From that point they would go to this wizard in a tower on the outskirts, a historian type of character - who explains what is possibly going on (even though he didn’t believe in the legends before.. until now) that’s when the knight and criminal realize what they just did.. and that this is only the beginning. There is more than just one portal!

The portals could act like a gate. Once one part of the gate is opened, the rest start to crumble like dust, releasing more of the unknown into their world, quite possibly destroying everything they hold dear!

The possibilities for antagonists are endless. As I’ve said, different types of entities ranging from beastlike, to ones that can take a solid human like form, while others could just be a shadow that can transfer themselves from one vessel to another, essentially a parasite that possesses a host at any given time. So our characters would not be able to trust anyone because who were they to know what they are dealing with? A human, a friend, or foe? And of course, some (surviving) humans are not always good people, so that could just make for basic run of the mill conflicts along their journey. Besides the obvious, themselves. I like the idea of our protagonists struggling to get along, always butting heads. And also, for side characters, they should definitely build a team of friends they make along the way to aid in their fight! (power of friendship lmaoo) Perhaps wedge some personal drama and maybe a traitor in there while we’re at it! The knight guild could also take notice of their missing knight and prisoner - making even MORE stress as now they are considered ‘gone rogue’.

Now, like a once beautiful flower, the world is wilting swiftly to decay. Colors are losing their vibrancy and the sky turned ghostly in the day and pitch black in the night. Is there any hope or will they fail to save the world?
• 1x1 MxM for the main characters

• I looooove a slow burn romance!

• Subplots & Side Characters ARE A MUST

• Favorite Genres: Drama, Supernatural, Fantasy, Thriller, Modern, Adventure, Mystery

• Not interested in Sci-fi, Westerns, or Fandom

• Character sheets! It depends on the tastes of who I’m writing with. Sometimes I prefer to jump right into the story and flesh out the details as I go, but I love having a highly detailed sheet to update with notes as not to get lost. As far as visual references , I much prefer written descriptions than art for faceclaims. Mainly because I’m so picky it would take me too long to find just the right one!

What I’m looking for in a RP partner:
• Excellent communication

• Likes to brainstorm new drama & conflicts

• Please be an Adult and act like one too!

• If you are unable to write (vacation, sick, etc). We can always take a break to rattle off ideas. Just keep me updated. I am currently in college so sometimes my schedule gets a bit hectic, but even so I am pretty alert and on top of things. I refuse to ghost and I hope to receive the same respect for my time. If you lose interest, I get that - it sucks, but please voice it. Even just for a hiatus!

• Less is better than more and quality over quantity! Within reason, a 2-4 descriptive paragraphs per post. Nothing too intense. Only a handful of lengthy (6+ paragraph) posts per month at most and only if we need to go further into depth. Longer streams of dialogue can be collaborative AND/OR we can do shorter more frequent posts when necessary!

• I don’t and have never been one to have any prewritten plots in mind. Preferably, I like to come up with something more custom with whom I’m writing with. BUT I do have themes and pairing skeletons I am interested in ~ so if you like, pick your poison:
enemies/rivals to lovers, wholesome, reincarnation, magic, ghosts, monsters, demon x hunter, runaways, yandere, assassin x target, royalty x servant/peasant, roommates, magical girls/boys, isekai, childhood friends rekindle after a falling out, prophecies/chosen ones, forced to work together - deal with it, captor x captive, vampires, werewolves, partners in crime/on the run!, popular x shy, fake dating/forced marraige, huge misunderstandings, long lost (almost) lovers, crushing x oblivious, rags to riches, celebrities/co-stars, medieval dark fantasy, occasional tragedy, curses, blah blah blah…

PM me with the direction you’d like to go and we can go from there! I am eager to hear what you are interested in! Feel free to make suggestions even if it isn’t listed here. I am very openminded <3
Count me in!
