Getting back into RPs is hard. Did I have more patience when I was younger?

Ohh Shiny! I haven't written in a NRp lately but I used to I'll place my interest here. I'm already thinking of a nation of dwarves on Uraz who produce the finest metal and perhaps mine MagiTech if you intend it to be an element?
Consider me interested. It's been going for years? Is there much history then? Might be a little hard to get into without some kind of short summary although this is just an Int Chk.
@Lunarlors34 Oh yeah I know it I did my hamstring three years ago. As least you will recover fully though, just don't push it.

I broke my wrist ages ago and took the cast off early and now my wrist creaks and feels like I have arthritis sometimes, lol. Not quite the same thing but I learnt my lesson.

Edit: Forgot to say. Post up let me know if I messed anything up. If anyone wants to respond, having heard her feel free although I don't know how many people could get up to the roof.
Aisling Eisen

As the sun rose over the mountains illuminating the world Aisling felt the heat against her back, as she sat meditating like she had been taught. She felt the winds rush by slow but ever flowing as if fleeing the sun. The mountain air this high up was thin but bearable. The Suns' warmth broke her focus and she opened her blue eyes to the sight before her, a slight smile on her lips.

Crocus lay below at the bottom of the mountains in all its glory greenery from countless parks visible from even here. The arena of the Grand Magic Games was also visible above the city floating by some powerful, unfathomable magic. Aisling could not tell from here but it looked empty today. She wondered if she was late and everyone had already left. No, no the innkeeper in the last town she had stopped in said there was three days left.

How long had it been? It was hard to tell travelling through the mountains, but if she had gone around she would definitely have been late. She spent a while trying to puzzle out the jumble of the past few days an absent-minded smile upon her lips. A bird sailed by trilling the new day bringing her from her thoughts.

Well she had spent her last Jewel on food for the journey, whether or not she was late she would have to find something fast. She gathered her dusty, light blue, travelling cloak from the ground she had been sitting. With a frown at the dust mark she gathered her magic and uttered a spell sending a blast of wind through it to beat some of the dust off. With that she slung it over her shoulders and picked up her bag filled with all her belongings. Finally with one last glance at the mountains and the long road that lay behind her. she stepped off the cliff she had been resting on.

And flew, not true flight like a bird, but as if she weighed less than the air around her borne by the wind itself gathered tight around her. She hoped the magic power she had gathered mediating would be enough to get her to the city far below. Soon enough she reached the city landing lightly on a rooftop. She had no idea where to go and this was a big city, far bigger than any Aisling had visited before. Rather than stop to ask directions she headed further into the city leaping over roofs toward the great Arena looming above. This way she stayed out of sight after all most people feared the use of magic so her grandfather said.

It was while pondering if it was different here she came to a terrifying realization as she leapt to a yet higher rooftop her magic running dry, she fell down onto the roof. At the last second falling face first she flung out an arm and yelled out a spell which slowed her enough to only leave bruises and a loud thump rather than tearing right through.

Her bag lost in the fall, slid down the slanted roof with the clunk of pots and pans caught itself on the eaves of the building. She eased herself down toward it careful not to fall. As she clutched the bags' strap she glanced down at the street far below, too far to get down herself. She climbed back to the peak of the roof settling herself legs braced against sliding, nursing her bruises.

So she sat ready for a long wait until her magic power returned she was stuck upon the roof of the Phoenix Wing Hotel although she did not know it. Unless someone had heard her fall. “Well Grandpa, I'm here, what now?” She asked the empty air her soft voice drifting unheard.

Funny that you post that I just finished Bebop... Don't judge me I was saving it. :P

@t2wave We can work something out Aisling can fly too.. sorta not as well as Ariel right now perhaps. Amazing work by the way I'm so jealous!
Name: Aisling Eisen
Age: 21
Birthday: 3rd of March x871
Magic: Wind Magic. Aisling is not much of a fighter and only knows a few offensive spells.
Flight: By deploying her magic around herself, and perhaps others she can levitate. Although doing so for long quickly consumes her magic power.
Wind Blades: Forming the air into hardened blades that are quite sharp.
Wind Wall: A defensive wall of wind that can defend against attacks or obstruct sight.
Magic Level: C

History: Aisling grew up on the move with her grandfather, never staying in one place long always the strangers. It was he who taught her magic although he himself never had much training and admitted Aisling even at a young age was stronger than him. The two survived by taking odd jobs wherever they could. Her grandfather was once a soldier so they took jobs guarding caravans, Aisling helping with the small tasks necessary for a caravan.

One day as they travelled across dangerous territory, bandits attacked the caravan they were travelling with Aisling hid at her grandfather's order as he charged into battle. As the battle began it became clear that these bandits were not just that but mages too, her grandfather forced to reveal his own magic in an attempt to save Aisling. Unfortunately they were stronger and many and he fell to them, at a cry of pain from him Aisling rushed out from her hiding place and fought above her ailing grandfather. Eventually she was outmatched and covered her and her grandfather with a wind wall in a last desperate attempt. It was then cradling her grandfather in her arms he told her to go to Crocus, and find those who could teach her more. Using the last of her magic she was forced to flee into the sky, with a heavy heart unable to do more.

Personality: Aisling is a kind person and does not like hurting anyone unless forced to in defense of those she loves. At times she can be a bit of an airhead forgetting to do something or drifting off mid conversation, sometimes literally.

Guild and guild mark location: Left ankle
Team Members: None as yet
Three Strengths: (Not just combat)
1. kind-hearted, helpful person.
2. skilled at day to day tasks especially around a camp, she is also a great cook.
3. Despite being quite air-headed when necessary she applies herself to whatever she is doing with laser focus .
Three Weaknesses: (Make them Applicable)
1. Scared of conflict, stemming from her recent experiences, either amongst her friends or in combat if ever she is.
2. Forgetful, Aisling whilst being quite handy
3. Naive to a fault despite witnessing bad things she doesn't believe in evil often prone to being led in the wrong direction.
Greatest Love: Travel and sightseeing.
Motivation: To honour her grandfather's dying wish and become strong enough to prevent what happened from happening again.
Appearance:

Additional Details: Carries around a bag of assorted travelling supplies wherever she goes from long practice.
Anyone can interact with Ariel right now. She's in the halls of the Phoenix Wing Hotel making a spectacle of herself without thinking (see my last post).

If you haven't found anything for Ariel to do I need to bring my character into the fold somehow, perhaps they could meet?
@Caits@Zarkun Not to be pushy but when you've got a sec could you take a look at my CS please. I'm all caught up on the IC now too.
@Expolar Awesome! Now I'll wait for full approval while I catch up on the situation if I can and find a place to insert my character.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking of having her already in Crocus, perhaps watching the games.
