I'm one of them. Forced transformations are something I find particularly uncomfortable.

Have to say that the doppelganger idea just sounds plain unworkable (and practically unwinnable). A number of NPC's equal to the number of players, and with an ENORMOUS comparative power advantage? The good guys are even worse off, as it's 'I am a sociopathic buffed version of you'. @_@

For the mecha one... would the giant robots get robots? :P

Dinosaur challenge and mecha challenge are my favorite out of those, least favorite is the doppelganger one since it seems like it's got some trouble in terms of making it work, like @Raineh Daze mentioned.

There's nothing about that sentence I don't love.

As for Smoke + Mirrors, I imagine the clones wouldn't be too much more powerful, just enough so that dumb force isn't an option and a smarter/creative solution must be reached. The characters prove that there's more to them than raw power, which is all the clones would have. But hey, it's just a concept, I've got no investment in it.

I'm of the camp that doesn't mind the forced transformations. If I have to state a reason... I guess I'd relate it to Kingdom Hearts? Like, how some worlds allowed Sora to either wardrobe change or outright become a merman/lion?

Cosmetic transformations I am completely in favor of, ones that change who you play or depower your characters, not so much.

@Azakma If you want interactions with Clementine, I could have the Overlord come meet up with her, I don't think he would mind having a little servant with spunk to help him out since usually Gnarl or several of his mistresses took that role to help him out.

Edit: Though, I can see the problem that Clementine wouldn't like the fact that she is following a towering metal man that can shoot magic out of his hands.

Oh, I probably will be posting tomorrow in this RP and others, I was just super lazy today just watching this new TV show I've gotten into.

I actually wouldn't mind the forced transformation events >3> One could always assume that sheer unflinching determination to say 'FUCK OFF!' to the transformation effects might protect a couple of the people from it. Orrr, the will of some metaphysical force protects them from that level of tampering [the player obviously]

But... Seriously, this RP has a villain who controls and warps this little pocket universe around us, the idea that he would just 'politely not muck about with people's species for his own amusement' actually seems even less likely than him being unable to do it XD I think excluding it entirely instead of just using our RPs already prevalent 'if the subject's player is okay with it' method, might actually detract from the RP in the long run.

Just means that there might well be challenges that some character would be disadvantaged for because of refusing it, or perhaps because 'of' the transformation... but, know what? That's just how things are to be expected when you're dealing with someone who cheats reality itself just for fun, we can't expect our characters to always have a fair game against that type of opponent.

Anyway! I got conscripted to help fix cars right after settling in to post yesterday, and i'm tired of stuff like that happening everytime I get setted to actually 'do' something! XD So i'm doing my post now, in bed, where nobody can interrupt me!

Hoo boy, the things I can do to dash Jax's hopes in my next post. Let's just say Ranma's training and childhood is.... weird. XD

And yeah, real life obviously comes before the rp so no one needs to apologize for taking a bit longer to do things or post. Just make sure to notifiy people either in the OOC or through PMs if they're waiting on you though, okay?

Once @Invisible Man posts again I can reply with Kyouko and keep that scene going. She's probably not going to be happy when she realizes how much hair is stuck in parts of the monster but will find something she can salvage.

For Kino I think more people still need to reply there.

  • *Personality: Genjuro is a generally pleasant, responsible, man who endeavours to look after those he's responsible for in any capacity. He's also a rather hammy gentleman who would be more than willing to take over fighting from a bunch of teenaged magical girls if it weren't for being disintegrated by the Noise.
  • Powers/Skills: With no apparent reason whatsoever, Genjuro is capable of taking on magical girls with his bare hands, as well as performing feats of strength that make no sense whatsoever. Normal humans are not capable of kicking the ground hard enough to cause part of the road to rise up as a barrier, nor catching a building-sized sword without even a scratch. To what does he attribute martial arts ability sufficient to punch through a building or punch an explosion? Eating, sleeping, and watching movies. It apparently works.
