I have to agree. Very odd designs for the 3d models given the images on the cards, though some match up better then others.

Been trying out pure metalfoes because people constantly shit on them. Maybe it's because I'm not good at resource management (yet i use to main D/D/D's) that i'm not getting solid opening boreds because I end up with only one pendulum scale and no monsters like some trumped up igknight player. Still winning quite well. Even managed to get ignister out once. I also love Mythriel. She's a solid card. She's a more situational Kirin who targets. She let's you recycle counters and what have you then just get them back whenever you like. Also I never knew Metamorformation was a thing so few people play it. +300 atk and def to all Metalfoes and prevents them from being effected by your opponents cards. Also Alkaheist is pretty dirty. I love it. Basically he's a def mode thousand eyes that only works on your opponent's turn. Haven't used him yet only to get rid of a set instant fusion.

I fucking love it. The salty tears of people who say 'pendulums have no skill' when he nuked my board, my back row, had hope harbinger, and left me with one pendulum scale and a replacement for my blown up one. Then when he absorbs the replacement and i use my spare that i got and i overcome his field I have no skill.

Now don't get me wrong, I love yugioh and skill is certainly part of it. But I've never really though of Yugioh as a skill based game :<

Like imo everyone can get on the same knowledge level pretty easily in terms of knowing what cards to play and stuff, and after that point it's just luck really. I mean it's a card game.

A lot of it is based off luck. Having an awful hand is hard to deal with. On the other hand there was stuff like the YCS recently where a misplay of book of eclipse cost the dude his match, and countdown stall decks in regionals which won by stalling out There's a bit of skill required but sometimes dumb luck wins out.

Sure, Luck is a factor in ANY game that isn't named chess, which goes doubly for card and dice games. Just because luck is a factor, though, doesn't mean it's not a skill game. Not so much anymore, but in the past you could climb to Legendary in Hearthstone with nothing but base cards, and Hearthstone is considered one of the most luck-based card games on the planet.

YGO is a skill game, it just also has the problem of being a card game.

i'm not saying D/D/D's require no skill i'm just saying i used to main them and yet my resource management is still garbage. I'm just saying that the blue eyes player being a really bad sore loser after opening perfectly against me is pretty freaking pathetic.

Duel links is pretty bad, to be honest. It's incredibly slow both gameplay and progression wise, is a battery hog and never got updated past a certain point in Xyz land.
