You post your piece, Mako will say his piece and I can fast forward to Bolin moping a little in their apartment the next day. Mako tells the truth. Bolin reacts. We move forward to the park (where I want Asami to try and fuck with Mako a little with that fire bending), while Bolin and Korra happen to be at the stadium to do what they said they would, just without really being near each other so they're kept out of the way?

No no no, we HAVE to skip now. Asami is not talking any further and she has aired everything out. What I mean is, your post had the ability to be spread out in at least three different posts and we could have made this more of a discussion between Mako and Asami, rather than Asami airing out every grievance and not allowing Mako an opportunity to try--emphasis on TRY--to speak to her about this. Instead, much of my post will end up absorbing the heartache and anger and confusion before I get Mako to talk to Bolin the following morning. Does that make sense?

Btw I'm not mad and I'm not blaming you for anything. Just finding it a waste that we pressed so hard and passed by a really good conversational opportunity. We always have the next night, so there's that!

I think from her point of view, she doesn't want to talk now though. It's late, they're both emotional and the incident just happened. The dust hasn't had time to settle. She's said everything she's needed to. She needs space and time to absorb what has happened and while Mako will probably be limited with the post you've gotta make, I don't regret it ending because the skip is where they will be able to go back and forth with their thoughts after some time has passed to let them step back and assess the situation. I can see why it would be tough to sift through the content and reactions, though I don't see it as a waste. But I can see how it could have gone another way with shorter, slower posts and pacing. You're right though, it was a chance for more of an impact but it's not the only we've got. I hope the next few posts are more satisfying you. XD

I just see the work you put in and I enjoy returning the favor. Can't do that this time, but yeah, what's coming up should be beneficial.

Kurama made an error earlier in Roses though, by using the situation at school to ask Botan out, but it felt more out of convenience than meaningfulness, which is wrong too. I'm going to have him bring this up after the pool incident. But that aside, Kurama is far superior at handling women. Hell, probably even Hiei.

SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY MAN. You've been extremely patient with me and I wanna thank you again for understanding. The delays aren't just life, it's also just me taking my work seriously before it has even begun. But what I want to do from now on is try not to throw the essays at each other, because we have this insane habit of just doing college essays and jumping, and jumping, and jumping. Let's try to enjoy these little moments more, even if they're full of angst and suffering, ya know?

I like essay writing of walls and words buuuut you're right, it's not well placed in conversations. Urgh, I just feel so lazy when I post small stuff lol I'll try to tell myself it's okay. Though I've seen people give terrible excuses for a post and blame it on it needing to be shorter for conversation, I guess I need to let go of that stigma and remember it's necessary to slow down from time to time and it doesn't make us less writers for shorter posts. XD

And you know I don't mind waiting. We're pretty patient with one another because it's worth it but we also have an understanding of how tough we can be on ourselves and how life can get in the way but we're still able to support each other. :3

I feel lazy too when it appears that I haven't written quite enough, but often times we just need to be in the moment and not dance with the past and present of exposition. Actions can speak a lot louder than the words we place. Mako making an effort to reach out to Asami does a lot more for us as partners, and for him as a character, if he doesn't just sit there in silence while he sees and hears how badly Asami is hurting. I couldn't stomach the idea that he's just sitting here and not trying something, ANYTHING to try and make it right, no matter how little he can do at the time.

So let's not care about length anymore. We've roleplayed enough together to know that we can go IN on some heavy exposition, emotional buildup, and all around rants and ravings pertaining to our opposites. As long as I'm not leaving you anything shorter than three or four paragraphs, I'll be content with that so long as we are continuing to move and enjoying ourselves. We have nothing to prove to anyone on this site, or each other.

Life is tough, writing is sometimes tougher, and I'm glad we can understand that sometimes shit hits the fan for us in a variety of ways. AS LONG AS I AM NOT KEEPING YOU WAITING NEARLY HALF A YEAR AGAIN, WE SHOULD BE COOL!

The fact is, he can't make it "right" cause it's never going to be "right" Asami is going to be mad at Mako. Yes, he came to her, which is good but the fact remains, he shouldn't have done it and had to go to her with such news in the first place. Of course, what's done is done. Asami wants to move on, her heart is breaking and its painful to even look at Mako knowing his lips were someone else's much less those of Korra. I think she's totally caught off guard by Mako's stupidity. (Thanks S1 writers...)

Yeah, forgetting about post size is gonna be tough. But 3-4 for dialogue is already enough for most folks, besides backtracking with long posts in dialogue portions is hard. I'll admit it's a pain in the ass, so in order to not keep doing that, we can try to keep some parts more trim than others. We don't have anything to prove, you're right. I'll try to keep things more manageable. Though as I said, my next reply is already partly written, I'd just tweak it a bit and let them keep talking but also, there isn't a lot more to say on the matter. It boils down to Mako being stupid, Asami being hurt and them trying to get to the root of Mako's problem, whether its him and Korra or him and Asami.

I think in his head, at least as I'm playing him, Mako believes that he can mend his mistakes THIS quickly. It's not realistic to think that, because Asami had not a shred of wrong done to him, and here he is enabling Korra to think that he wanted her over Asami. He's not dumb enough to think he's entirely innocent but he's naive enough to think that he can just 'sorry' and stroke her hand, and that'll make it all go away. But I'd prefer a Mako with unrealistic expectations over a Mako that was clearly into another girl and didn't respond to Asami the same. Sad.

Yeah three to four with a dialogue-centered segment is actually REALLY good when you think about it. A lot of people I've rp'd with do considerably less. And since your next reply is partially kept, the next one shouldn't take any time at all. Not much to say, I know~
