Billy is picked out of crowds by virtue of being a ginger. He's thin, which is accentuated by the few inches he has on his peers, making him seem all the more lanky. He has pinched lips, a soft chin, and stick-out ears that make him look younger than he is, made up for by the dark circles he has around his eyes (Billy sleeps twelve hours a day, though his drug use leaves him with a serious lack of REM sleep) and a hand-pricked rendition of the nine planets on his bicep. Additionally, he has a pretty prominent chip on one of his front teeth, which also helps him look a bit less young. His clothes and personal style aren't too out of the norm, though some would say he dresses like an old man -- Billy is a fan of loafers, baggy blazers, and sensible mom jeans. He has no visible scars, though he has a pretty sizable scar on his head from having a brick dropped on him during a schoolyard prank, which he has since sworn up and down was a meteor. Fortunately for Billy, his hair hides it.

At best, Billy is a romantic individualist who chafes at the reins of the modern world like Huckleberry Finn or Hunter S. Thompson. At worst, Billy is a spacy layabout arbitrarily obsessed with defending his own freedom, like, well, Huckleberry Finn or Hunter S. Thompson. Billy dropped out of high school because he was two credits short of a graduation with his friends due to a history of failing English, and took the news pretty hard. His few friends have seen very little of him since, as he's drifted from one dead-end job to the next, leaving when he's either fired or bored. He lives with his two mothers who -- despite Billy's freewheeling personality -- are lenient, soft-spoken, and supportive. Granted, they are both crunchy vegetarian psychologists who buy nine dollar candles from Pagan Dreams, so it's not like he has to sneak around much. Billy flips hotcakes at The Salem Diner on the weekends and flips weed behind the high school on the weekdays, and though his attendance is too sporadic with either to consider them his jobs, he gets away with a fair bit more than most teens by virtue of not being a total sponge. He spends almost all of his money on 𝔀𝓮𝓮𝓭, either to sell or consume, which has affected his person pretty stereotypically; Billy's first love is his bed, and his mistresses are the guitar, snacks, video games, and space documentaries.

In terms of weaknesses, point blank, Billy is just not a smart guy. Years of adolescent drug use and hits to the head have left him with his head in the clouds more often than not. He's not actually dumb, or even gullible, though inattentive and eccentric are both fair descriptors. Billy doesn't know what makes stars shine, they just shine, man. Granted, he's also not totally certain what makes lightbulbs shine, so make of that what you will. His powers hinge on his ability to concentrate, which is pretty important when they let him lift cars, and pretty frightening considering it's his biggest flaw.

● R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S ●

Billy never had a girlfriend, and doesn't have much interest in pursuing one. He's pretty unimaginative when it comes to preferences, only showing interest in the obvious sorts of women teenage boys are attracted to, like pop stars, models, celebrities, and green-skinned star trek babes. Until he bumps into one of the four, girls aren't really a thing Billy thinks about. Most speculate he is secretly either gay or a furry. Or a gay furry.

● O R I G I N S T O R Y ●

In the beginning, there was Billy. No shit, he claims to have viewed the events of Genesis during an acid trip at a planetarium. Ask him about it. Aside from being a possible witness to the Earth's creation, Billy's history has been out of the ordinary since day one. He was technically born to two meth-heads in Wyoming, though his adoption to his mothers had already been arranged in advance. As long as anyone who knows him can remember, Billy has always been just a touch off. In elementary school he was the kid in the corner who ate glue, and in middle school he was the weirdo who dressed as a fairy one Halloween. In high school, he dabbled a bit in being a musician, though his interest in the guitar quickly became interest in rock-stardom, which then became an interest in drugs, which then molded Billy into the esoteric manchild he is today.

He recently discovered his powers when he woke up floating and promptly crashed back down in his panic, which he has since kept a secret. He's no genius, but he's smart enough to know that when weather gets weird and people's lawns start blowing up, it's not an opportune time to announce you've got suspicious superpowers.

Billy can consciously manipulate the Earth's gravity, with a sphere of influence about five feet around him. Billy can make himself and other things go up, down, or simply not fall to the earth as they normally would, though he is not telekinetic and lacks any power to push or pull things. At most, he could feasibly lessen the effect of gravity on something that already has momentum to make it fly really slowly, or on himself to jump-walk like an astronaut.

● W E A K N E S S E S ●

Billy didn't exactly win the superpower lottery. He can only manipulate the gravity around himself, which doesn't really loan itself to combat considering that it makes him much slower -- It's good for reaching weird spaces, moving furniture, and slowing people down. His levitation of objects doesn't seem to be bound by any number or weight limit, but it also doesn't seem to be something he can use to control specific objects. Picture an invisible anti-gravity bubble he can turn on and off, a little wider than his armspan.
It doesn't help that his power depends on concentration and that he is known for not concentrating.

Otherwise jeans a shirt and a jacket covered in pockets with various items, including whatever he is reading at the moment inside them. Generally clean shaven and still relatively well muscled, a few small scars accumulated over the years from accidents and one more recent when he accidentally stabbed himself with his power.

clinical and a little fatalistic, life has not gone in the way he wanted it to, not that he had much of a plan but this was definitely not in it but thems the breaks. After a lifetime of searching for purpose he had effectively given up on finding something better until the day the universe decided to drop a superpower on his lap. This has given him purpose, while it may not be much now his ability grows a little each day and practicing it gives him a sense of empowerment that has been missing, of potential and of hope for a future where he can control his fate. He hopes to use the potential strength to change the world, to bring down those who currently have traditional power with his new strength if its upper limit is as high as he hopes.

Generally enjoys reading, metal music, drinking and communism. Despite his general distaste with his position he has come to enjoy the more maintenance side of his work, learning how to fix stuff is probably the only interesting part of his job so while the school may not be the most clean many of its various boilers, computers, ovens and other machines owe their continued existence to his researched bodges, first with duct tape and now with odd metal growths.
While not the most optimistic of individuals he tries to get along with others, particularly those who are in a similar position to himself.

Bisexual, however he isn’t, and never really has, looking for any romantic relationship, in his mind love is something that other people experience not him.

● O R I G I N S T O R Y ●

Having spent most of his time in university either drunk or campaigning for socialist revolution he found himself with a relatively poor joint degree in Classics & Ancient History. Drifting from job to job, even a brief stint in the military, eventually ending up in this out of the way town as the school janitor. There he stayed for the next 5 years, generally getting to know the town and being bored out of his skull. After coming down with the sickness and taking some days off he returned to work only to accidentally stab himself when he discovered his power by browsing spikes on a coin straight into his hand and not being able to stop before it hurt him. Using his wound to take another day off he spent it learning how to use his power without self injury, mainly by making lots of small statuets out of coins and nails. Generally keeping this a secret till he can use it to properly defend himself and not just make trinkets, though also on the lookout for others with power, it is good to know who the potential threats/kindred spirits are if you plan on changing the world. Is considering making a suit, or at least a mask using his power.

Metal generation/growth.

Allows him to create metal objects – blades, beams, bludgeons, sheets, tubes, spears, needles etc – which extend from solid surfaces around him. Metal can be created on top of existing metal, allowing the creation of more detailed shapes/constructions by overlapping the metal. The blades summoned are made either of steel or of the metal of the surface they grow from. At the moment this is very slow though there is no upper limit to the amount that can be generated and the metal is persistent. The metal is also rather dull and crude at the moment so while in future he might be able to extend blades fast enough and sharp enough to hurt people as they grow, at the moment its more limited to fusing locks shut, making small statuettes, improvised welding, screwing with machinery by clogging their internals, making small weapons/tools on the fly, tripping/ensnaring people etc. The area he can grow metal is rather short at the moment, limited to surfaces in a small radius around himself

the power cannot grow from biological material, so wood, leather, cloth, plastics and most importantly flesh, cannot be used for growth. Also there is an unknown block on growing metal inside someone even if they have swallowed something that it could grown out of. The denser the metal the slow it is to grow. Aluminium is fast, iron and copper are standard, silver slow, gold really slow and uranium would be glacial (this is basically to stop money cheating by making tons of gold etc.)

Often being mistaken for a child, Veronica stands at a mere five feet, two inches tall. She has curves in all the right places; her waist is slim and her hips wide. Her muscles are well defined and toned, however, as a result of weekly strenuous physical activity. Her clear, glowing skin is the color of cinnamon, and her curly black hair falls just below her shoulders. There is a dull scar on her left eyebrow, which she tends to cover up with makeup. Her eyes are large and almond shaped, fringed with long, thick lashes, the brown of the iris so dark that it almost appears to be black. She sometimes wears thick, black rimmed glasses solely because she thinks they complement her well. She has a perfectly straight nose, of which one of her friends described as a "Ski Slope," and perfectly arched, dark eyebrows. Her face is heart-shaped, and she has high cheekbones and a pointed chin. Her lips are full and always covered with clear lip gloss, and when smiling you can see that she has straight rows of white teeth, a slight overbite present.

Veronica prefers to wear more earth-tone colors: deep shades of brown, green, and red. Her style of dress can be summarized as "Urban Fashion," an edgy look that reflects lifestyle, attitudes and individuality. She prefers to go to thrift shops to find clothes that she can make into something new. Not being a big fan of flashy jewelry, you'll only ever see her wear a ring on her left middle finger, which was given to her by an old friend. She has helix piercings, conch piercings, tragus piercings, and lobe piercings in both of her ears. She has a septum piercing, as well. Veronica has a large number of tattoos covering her arms, neck, and a few more in hidden areas.

Veronica is a seemingly calm and quiet girl, yet is by no means a pushover. She can very much take care of herself, but is smart enough to know when to pick a fight and when to let something go. She likes to see the good in life, and always wants to find better ways to handle problems. V has always been a carefree girl; she believes that life is too short to dwell on mistakes or mishaps. She is someone who isn't weighed down by the troubles of everyday life, is not restricted by other people's opinions, and is always herself regardless of the situation. She is a cheery young woman, and is rarely found without a smile on her face or enthusiasm dripping from her words. She craves adventure, thrills, and new things. She strives to have a happy and enjoyable life and wants the same for those she holds dear.

Having grown up with a large number of male friends and cousins, V considers herself to be a bit of a "Tomboy." When going to the park, for instance, she'd rather get sticky and sweaty by playing a sport of some sort than "tan" with her girlfriends. Strangely enough, she prefers to keep to herself and stay quiet. When in a confident mood, however, she can be very charismatic and outgoing. She is very competitive, but will never come off as arrogant. Once you get to know her, you see that she is a very humble, caring, intelligent, and trustworthy individual. She has a past, along with a few quirks, as does every other human being, but makes up for them by being an overall fun and generally happy person to be around.

V is confident in herself and her actions, often to a fault. She is very opinionated, has trouble asking for help, and hates admitting when she's wrong. When things don't go as she planned or in a positive direction, she can get frustrated very easily. Though very smart, she has a hard time paying attention in her classes, and is usually caught daydreaming when she should be working. V has a bit of a "potty mouth," and uses profanity even when she isn't trying to. She has a bit lot of trouble controlling her temper, and whenever someone pushes her to her limit, she'll snap; it will often result in her yelling a large number of obscene words, throwing objects, and even going as far as to get physical.

● R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S ●

Veronica considers herself to be Bisexual, but tends to gravitate more towards women. She has had a handful of partners in her lifetime, none of them lasting more than a couple of months. Veronica does not actively seek out relationships, hating the feeling of being obligated to offer someone her free time. She hates the feeling of being attached to another human, the affections, the upkeep of a relationship, etc. Every time she starts seeing someone new, things grow tiring very quickly. Being the big flirt that she is, Veronica is more prone to having a quick fling than an actual committed relationship. Her longest relationship lasted for seven months, but she broke things off when the guy gave her a promise ring on Christmas eve.

● O R I G I N S T O R Y ●

Veronica was born into the Bozeman family in Brooklyn, NY, but moved to Verona when she was nine. Although her family was very poor, her single mother tried her hardest to give V and her twin brother a normal life. Their father had left the family before they were born. She'd receive letters and postcards from him every year for her birthday, but left them in a box under her bed, unopened. Although never having the "pleasure" of meeting her father, V knew how much of a deadbeat he was based on everything she'd learned from her mother.

Ever since she was a little girl, Veronica has been an avid basketball fan. Every chance she got, she would play and attend basketball games with her brother and his friends, slowly but surely starting to fall in love with the game. At the age of eight, she'd finally convinced her mother to let her play on a team, and the rest was history. V grew up to be the star player on her middle school, high school, and AAU teams, playing the position of point guard. Everyone, including her coach, expected great things of her; they all just knew that one day she'd make it to the WNBA. Her mother, however, was pushing her to focus more on her academics. She didn't see any future for V as a ball player, instead wishing for her to get a practical job so that she could pay the bills. She constantly pushed her to do her best in school, and forced her to join many clubs and school organizations. She'd even signed her up for art classes, which she actually grew to enjoy. It was around that time that her love for tattoos started to develop. Unfortunately, however, at the age of sixteen, V tore her ACL, ending her basketball career.

When Veronica was seventeen years old, her mother was killed in a car accident. After their mother's death, the twins had the option to stay in Washington with their Aunt, or move across the country to live with their ass of a father. While her brother chose to move away, Veronica chose to stay. She graduated with honors from Lincoln Memorial High, got a job at the diner, and started college.

Veronica discovered her power while she was over her now ex-boyfriend's house. They'd got into a heated argument over something petty, resulting in V completely losing her shit. This, however, was normal for the two. What was not normal were the flickering lights and the abnormal glowing of her fingertips. Long story short, she almost accidentally hurt a guy, and the last time she ever saw him was when he was sprinting out of his apartment door.

Ben is almost constantly wearing a depressed face, and he always talks in a low tone of voice. He is fairly muscular, and would be considered attractive if he didn't have a constant 5 o'clock shadow and looked like his dog just died. He rarely dresses formally, and nearly every piece of his attire has some sort of stain or blemish. He has dark brown eyes and and curly, black hair. He wears a small bracelet on his wrist constantly, even when he sleeps, which appears to be handmade. He stands at 5'11 (180.34 cm) and weighs 173 lbs (78.47 kg). He talks in a deep voice and wears dark clothing. A small, cheap set of earphones is carried in his pockets for use while working, and he rarely looks like he has had a good night's sleep. His biggest feature is the large scar that traces itself from his bottom lip all the way to his chest, a remnant from the accident that took away his daughter. He is very pale, a combination of only leaving his home during the night time and having few, if any, windows in his home.

Out of all the emotions out there, Ben is best described with sadness. Nearly every person he has ever cared about has died, and he has not held up well. Years of little interaction outside of work has caused him to be very 'out of the loop', displayed when he frequently freaks out and begin to apologize for any insult or complaint he receives. Ben develops relationships at a slow, snail-like pace, but his friendships quickly display themselves as harmful to him, particularly when he begins to rely on others to shop for him. Ben prefers to take the burden of other people's problems, and he would gladly be chewed out by a boss or superior if it meant someone would thank him. He does his best to keep others happy and has a tendency to make fun of himself for other people. He is very obsessive over his main hobby, weightlifting, and does it in almost all of his free time. Ben prefers to avoid direct confrontation, and will attempt methods such as letters or emails before resorting to such. Ben thinks of his power as a god-given gift that are to be used for the benefit of others, and will become agitated if someone uses their power to commit crimes. He places other people far above himself, and would more than willingly sacrifice himself for a complete stranger. Ben REFUSES to touch alcohol, and will do nearly anything to avoid doing so.

● R O M A N T I C I N T E R E S T S ●

Ben is attracted to short, soft women who are, or at least appear to be, weak. Someone who is in need of protection and require his help are what tickle his fiddle, and he is in a mighty need for someone who relies on him. Women who are in a more traditional role, or are unable to function on their own in society. Unfortunately, however, ever since his wife died, he has become completely detached from dating or creating a relationship. He became afraid of commitment, and now he tries to keep himself as far away from women that attract him as possible. He wouldn't do that to Laura.

● O R I G I N S T O R Y ●

Ben was born on a cold, November night in Baltimore, Maryland. His parents soon moved to Verona in order to 'escape the city life'. Ben quickly grew to be just like his father, becoming a sort of 'meathead'. Playing football and eating at barbecue dominated his childhood, until the age of 12. Ben's father, an alcoholic, died at the age of 43 from a drunk driving incident. Ben was left with a single, grief-stricken mother, and got a job as a secretary at the Town Hall at the young age of 14. For the next 4 years, Ben worked tirelessly to provide for his depressed mother and, on his 18th birthday, she committed suicide.

Having lost both of his guardians, he moved into a small home with his high school girlfriend, Laura Stevens. The next year would prove to be very difficult, and numerous arguments erupted throughout their small home. Eventually, however, they came out stronger, with Ben sporting a job as a garbage man and a wife. Only nine months later, and Emily Cummings was born, a healthy baby girl. Things were finally beginning to look up for Ben.

His wife died only a year later. The cause? Apparently, a trip to visit Ben's grandparents in Baltimore proved far less hospitable than they had anticipated. Laura was stabbed repeatedly, and bled out from her wounds. The perpetrator then beat Ben to a pulp, and left him next to the corpse of his wife. They were never convicted of their crimes, and still roam those streets.

Ben's return was met with the constant reminder of his wife: from the furniture, to the poorly constructed sandwiches he began to ate during his lunch breaks, to the soft, green eyes of his daughter. Ben did everything he could to support Emily, driving her to and from school, working over time to buy her gifts, and even setting aside nearly a fourth of his income for her college education. Unfortunately, fate wasn't done screwing with Ben's life. His daughter, Emily died at the age of 5 from a hit-and-run. The only thing Ben had to remember her by was the small bracelet she had made for his 26th birthday.

The next 2 years were spent in a blur, and Ben had been an emotional train wreck ever since. The only difference between the days were the type of exercises he did, and the weather outside. Sometimes, he would pause and begin to wonder what day of the week it was. Other times, all the things that had happened would come crashing down, causing the very clothes around him to feel white hot and sharp, forcing him to pause and reflect. That all changed on Thursday, November 10th.

The day began far differently than any other he had experienced, with a sever migraine and several nosebleeds. Ben slowly trudged his way to work and, while in the middle of driving, crashed into a tree. He awoke twelve hours later, gasping for breath with tears pouring down his face. He had fallen into a coma, and he was in a hospital. Luckily, Ben had more than enough money to pay the bill. After all, his daughter... wasn't going to use it. He began to make the drive back to Verona later that day.

Just as he was making his way to his front door, he was no longer in his body. Now, he was a floating entity, observing a boy playing in the middle of the street. Several seconds later, a Sudan plowed through the boy, leaving a red puddle in it's wake. Just as suddenly as it arrived, Ben was back to normal, looking around the entire neighborhood in astonishment. Standing 20 feet away, in the middle of the street, was a small child, directly in the path of a brown Sudan barrelling down the road. Ben ran with all his might and, with a few seconds to spare, managed to pull the boy to safety. After a heart-felt thanks from the boy's mother, Ben had already decided what to do with his gift. He was going to save... Everyone.

• Ben needs a point of reference to find the person who is destined to die.
• To much use of his power causes mental and emotional instability. This has yet to be discovered.

in all seriousness, i'm actually really fucking glad this is back, and god am i getting some nostalgia. i remember being a wee little 12 year old babby, having just joined the guild, seeing this roleplay and thinking "hey, i should join this!". god, this is a little grounding. glad to be back you guys.
