"It is something! Training you is easy because you're smart at figuring things out. Even if you don't totally understand it you get it, that's smart." Like how Shu had always been able to fire Ki, even if he wasn't quite sure how it worked. What he needed help with more than anything was refinement, learning tricks and techniques came easily. Probably a byproduct of being a Saiyan, it must be so difficult being naturally adaptable and strong. Smiling, Yumi folded her arms over her chest, leaning back in her chair casually. "If you keep training then you'll get better, that's how it works. And I don't think you've needed saving much. If anything I think you've saved other people. Like back when we fought that big monster, remember? Viral and I couldn't beat him, so you and Takeshi came and saved us. You saved us. And I still haven't thanked you for that yet, have I?" Hm, how to repay someone like Shu. A gift, she supposed, that seemed the most sensible. How she would find a gift suitable for such a boy though was a bit of a mystery. He did seem to enjoy smoothies back home, perhaps she'd make some for him. Or try training him in his staff, she sort of knew how to wield one from her own martial arts experience.

Trying to compare Shu with his brother wasn't working, not with the whole boat analogy anyways. Probably best just to move off of that complete, unless Yumi wanted to fry the little Saiyan's brain. Instead they'd move onto more simplistic terms, something that Shu would have no issue understanding. They could always get help from someone else on this topic too, someone who, like Shu, was prone to anger. Immediately Viral and Takeshi both came to mind, being the foremost people who she could draw parallels with Shu. "Viral's energy might be different, but don't you think the same thing happens? He gets angry, his energy spikes and he changes. Even if it's different energy the way it works is the same... I think. Vegeta would know more than I do about that." Perhaps just asking Takeshi was the easier route to take. Best? Probably not, but definitely the most simple. While she had agreed to help Shu out Yumi wasn't beyond thinking they might need other help too, she couldn't sort this out on her own. Smiling sadly hearing Shu express his fears she reached out again, giving his hair a gentle ruffle to try and perk him up. "It's okay to be scared, but you need to try and be more confident too. We'll figure this out, and we'll do it soon. Then you won't have to be afraid of getting angry anymore."

Shu felt embarrassed everytime they talked about him in any way, especially when trying to make him more than what he thought he was. He thought he was fairly average, not to mention he rarely got to see how strong he was compared to the others if only by his ability to jump into battle and help when things were looking grim. He was certain he could be better in battle by himself if he could control his transformation, but he really didn’t know how when a variety of things happened. He imagined it was like the full moon making him really big, only he didn’t get really big and tended to remember some things when he was a little angry monkey. Staring at Yumi with a smile, he scratched his cheek and shook his head a little, “I didn’t do much…Takeshi threw me up into the air! He did a lot of things too”, he spoke confidently, “I couldn’t do that by myself. You don’t need to thank me; I’m okay!”

Shu didn’t know how his energy spiking was the same as Viral’s energy, especially when his energy couldn’t be detected. It made him wonder if Viral would ever be able to get lost even in his animal-like form simply because his energy couldn’t be detected. Getting a little distracted by that thought Shu eventually sighed, scratching his head as he tried to quiz himself on how he was supposed to find control if he didn’t even know how to stop feeling angry when bad things happened, “Mister Viral can’t stop his either…at least when you put it that way”, he spoke, feeling a little confused as to how he might be able to help, “I haven’t seen Mister Viral in battle for a long time, so I don’t know if he can. Everybody’s able to get angry but me…” He did feel a little left out, wondering if anything could frustrate him enough without him transforming. Letting out a sigh, he squeaked a little when Yumi ruffled his hair, his eyes quickly going back to her as she spoke. Tilting his head, he shifted on his chair and nodded, “Okay…I believe it can get better…somehow. I really hope it can! I get really mean when I’m angry…”

"Takeshi helped too, both of you helped. That still means you helped, and you saved us," Yumi pointed out, smiling amused, "I never said you did it alone. But I'm sure if you had to you could have done it too." Shu just wasn't giving himself credit where it was due, he'd done his part in saving her and Viral, there was no denying that. It wouldn't be the first or the last either, she was sure of that. "There's nothing wrong with needing a helping hand now and again either, you know. People can save and be saved, it's what friends do for one another. So don't feel so down if people are helping you, it just means they care." Back to the matter at hand, how was Shu supposed to control his anger? Getting some help from outside this meeting seemed like a safe bet, but from who? Viral didn't sound like much an option, and Takeshi was iffy at best. Vegeta was the most sensible choice, but he already had loads on his plate, Yumi felt guilty burdening him with more. She was going to have to sort this out then somehow, she'd just keep trying until they found something that worked. Hoping to dispel some of Shu's doubts she gave his hair an affectionate ruffling, smiling sweetly at him. "Things can always get better, you've got to really believe that for it to happen. I'm not going to give up until we figure out a way to keep you from changing, I promise. I don't care how long it takes."

Takeshi waited outside of the library for a good moment, not wanting to interrupt anything. Sounded like Shu and Yumi were still talking, should he be taking his brother away then? They were getting awfully close to Narbu, time to prepare was becoming scarcer every passing moment. Shu's anger management was certainly important, but so was getting him ready for a potential fight. Debating on what was more important for a moment he finally opened the door, stepping inside with a smile towards his brother. "Hey there buddy! How are things going in here?" he asked, putting his hands on his hips as he stopped by them. "Any luck Yumi?"

"No... We've only been at it for a little while after all," Yumi pointed out, smiling sadly as she scratched at one of her ears. "I feel like we're getting close though, we'll figure something out that works for him." Maybe she could just ask Vegeta for something more on anger management as a whole, she could always just relay what he said. He didn't have to be here in person to help Shu out. "Are you taking Shu away now?" she asked, glancing up at Takeshi.

"Yeah, we should start getting ready again for Pagonia. We don't know what to expect, so the more preparing we do the better." This time around they'd be a bit more cautious, seeing as twice now his folly had gotten them into some bad situations. Admittedly it was mostly at their friends' urgency that they were being more careful, but he'd relented easily enough. If not for his own sake then for Shu's and his friends, they didn't have to keep getting hurt because of him. Glancing down at his brother he smiled, placing a hand on his head and giving his hair a ruffle. "Come on small fry, let's go train before dinner."
"Why can't we visit a nice planet for a change...?" First the dry, arid world of Shaharia, and now Pagonia. Takeshi had almost forgotten how miserably cold the Narbu homeworld was, almost. Even in all of their extra clothes he could feel the cold. And they were in the hangar still, not even out in the elements yet. How anything could live here comfortably was just utter insanity. Rubbing his hands together he walked closer to the edge of the large room, glancing out into the white ocean before them. At least they had the shuttle to take, flying through this would really suck. Not that they could fly all too well anyways, not with Viral coming along this time. Shaharia had been one thing, but this world was definitely impossible for T'charrl. Vegeta had been very stern in his decision, being the most familiar with their friend anatomically. Since he'd more or less freeze within moments it was decided he'd best just stay back and let the others handle this. Feeling a cold wind blow into the hangar Takeshi shivered, rubbing at his arms as he scrunched up his shoulders slightly. Glancing back at Shu and Viral he frowned, turning to put his back to the cold air. "So uh... Do we even know where we're going, Viral? Has Vegeta given you any idea?"

Shu didn’t really get it, seeing as how he had to be thrown so he could attack from where he was so he couldn’t have done it on his own. He wouldn’t give Yumi the benefit of the doubt, though, and would still believe her to an extent. He didn’t want to be thought of as completely useless, and so long as he was able to actually do something without failing then he could be seen as useful in some way. He needed to be helped a lot during his time fighting, even in the last battle he had he needed assistance, but that didn’t make him feel depressed; he just wished he was more capable, is all. His way of fighting was way too ‘uncivilised’, making him vulnerable when he should be defensive, “I guess it’s okay to ask for help…but I need to ask a lot! Lots of times! Maybe it’s because I’m short”, he spoke, looking down at himself, “I am a little Saiyan…”

Shu was certain he was able to find some way around it, but he needed to find confidence in his ability and that was not going about it correctly if he constantly needed help with fighting. He just didn’t match up to other fighters with his style, not to mention people often underestimated him but that was their problem. Giggling when Yumi ruffled his hair, he smiled back at her as he nodded, “I’ll believe! Yeah, I will! You can count on Shu, really!” he told Yumi, feeling pretty confident before hearing Takeshi enter the room. Turning around on his chair with a bounce, Shu waved at Takeshi before looking to Yumi, letting out a sigh. Hardly anything was accomplished, but Shu was willing to keep trying when the time came. It was no secret that he was a little slow with things that required thought, but he’d still try to listen and learn how to control himself. Looking between the pair, Shu slowly slid off his chair and moved over to Takeshi, staring up at him before having to lower his head again when he ruffled his hair, “Ooooh! Train and dinner! Exciting happy times!”
Even with all the training, Shu was not prepared for having to wear shoes again even if it was definitely needed at this time. This planet was freezing and being all covered up definitely helped tons. Despite all of this covering up, their friend Viral didn’t look too much like he had been concerned with how cold it was and dressed very general if not in his own clothes for once. He did have thicker clothes on, but other than that he was without fear of the cold. Shu stuck close to Takeshi, watching Viral curiously to see if he knew what they were doing just yet.

Viral didn’t much care for the cold, even if he did feel it. His body didn’t seize up or get frostbite if he got too cold because his shark genes produced anti-freeze in his blood in the extreme, making it pretty poisonous too as a side effect. It would certainly stop something from trying to eat him, but it wasn’t as if he planned on being chomped on and neither would the people here think of doing that if they were civilised enough. Staring out into the blanket of cold, he only wondered why he was allowed to go out even if he was still continuing his training; then again, Vegeta had been pretty busy lately and probably wanted something for him to do in the meantime. Looking to Takeshi momentarily, he grumbled and looked away again, “To the south there is a colony of natives, people who used to be recruits for the King. They should be willing to help us…” Jumping out of the hanger, Viral turned to see if they were following before continuing on, not going fast considering the pair would probably slip around like idiots if he did.

With any luck they weren't going to have to fight, for one it was a bit cold to be doing much of anything. Also, the slight issue of wearing about three layers of clothes made Takeshi feel inflated, moving was a bit awkward. Shu probably wasn't in any better position than he was, wearing just as much and being smaller. If they threw one more layer on the little guy he might turn into a ball, that would be kind of funny. Enough on the dawdling though, they were supposed to be getting a move on and finding the Narbu settlement. Each of them had been told at some point or another, but naturally Shu forgot... And so did Takeshi. Staring out into the white expanse for a moment the older boy scratched his head, looking back at Viral for answers. "Oh? Just south? Well that's easy enough. If we get in the shuttle we'll-" He didn't even finish his sentence before the Beastman walked past them, leaping out of the hangar and into the snowy drifts below. Staring down at their friend for a moment Takeshi sighed, getting the notion they weren't going in the shuttle. "Ah crap... I hope you bundled up tight Shu, we're walking..." he mumbled, jumping out in turn. Just his luck, he landed a ways off from Viral and ended up knee deep in snow, gasping as he sank a bit. Looking down he scowled in annoyance, floating up with KI and giving his legs a shaking.

"Okay, let's go Shu!" Takeshi shouted up, holding up his arms for his brother. Catching him with an "oomph" he set Shu down on his feet, making sure all of his clothes were all set and fastened. The little guy probably wouldn't know what to do even if he did feel a draft, best they make sure he was good before they got moving. Satisfied all the straps and buttons were done up right Takeshi smiled, nodding approvingly. "There! No frostbite for you, hopefully that holds," he said, giving his brother's hat a small tug down for good measure. "Now then... Viral, uh... Which way is south?" On Earth it was a small matter to discern direction, you just used the sun as a guide. Well on Pagonia, at least at the moment, there was no sun. Not really anyways, the clouds blocked out a good portion of the light. It was kind of like walking around in dusk, that's how dim it was. You could see fine and well, but it wasn't ideal. Smiling sheepishly Takeshi rubbed at the back of his neck, "You uh.. Take the lead on this one, okay? It's not that I don't want to, I just want to see how you do!"

Shu was a little nervous about going out there, feeling the cold and wondering if it was safe. He didn’t know anything about this planet other than they had been there before but in a big building instead. There was no building in sight and he wondered if Viral knew where these people might be, his first thought being if they lived underground like the Kaesstrians. Watching Viral jump on out, Shu quickly looked to Takeshi pretty confused before watching him jump out too, moving on over to the side before he jumped out as well. He was pretty nervous about this planet, especially when it was so cold and dangerous looking like before, but with Viral and Takeshi there he hoped he didn’t have much to worry about and would be able to go on without too much of a problem. Letting Takeshi check over his clothes, he squeaked when his hat was tugged before he shook his head, looking to Viral all confused, “Why are we not going in the ship either…? Is it dangerous?”

Viral was pretty set to go on his own in need be, Takeshi and Shu only really being there to act as either back-up or incentive to get the Narbu to join them; however, he didn’t need their moaning about directions or the ship. Looking back at them, he soon let out a groan and turned around to face them, “The ship’s nose is purposely pointing north so we can see what way to go and if you paid attention to Vegeta, you’d know that”, he spoke before looking to Shu, “If anything goes wrong, the others will need the ship to get to us fast enough. These Narbu are strong and a lot bigger than us; you saw an Elite Narbu, remember? Besides…the snow is a pain and it’s a lot milder than it could have been outside so be happy that we’re not out when it’s clear skies…” The fastest way to get there was to run, at least for him considering the pair could just fly around like idiots. Looking to Takeshi, he let out a grumble before turning away again, springing off from his spot and going for a run through the snow, “Just follow! How I do is none of your concern! Worry about your own path!”

Takeshi wasn't much a fan of Pagonia himself, it was far too cold. Sure, warm clothes helped a bit, but sooner or later even those gave way to the chill. Thankfully where they were heading there was indoors, and that meant shielding from the wind. Maybe no fires, but the lack of wind meant their clothing would insulate them better. Leaping out of the hangar after Viral he turned back to the open door, holding his arms out for Shu to join them. Catching his brother carefully he set Shu down on his feet, giving the younger boy a quick check over on his gear. No sense in getting halfway there and finding out some of his clothes weren't fastened properly. Everything looked to be in order, and he was sure his were, as well as Viral's. The Beastman scarcely had anything on compared to them, it wasn't fair at all. Now that they were out they could get going south... Whichever way that was. Did Viral know? Ah, good, he did. Though it wouldn't kill him to say it in a bit of a nicer way. "I paid attention!" Takeshi said defensively, frowning as he folded his arms over his chest, "I just... Forgot is all. I was thinking about other stuff okay?" Like the cold, and if this was going to be any better than Shaharia was. He really hoped so, if they had two unsuccessful trips then he'd be damn hard pressed to care enough for a third.

"Yeah, I remember the guy. He was huge, but he wasn't all too hard to fight. Shu and I beat him after all." Granted, that was just a single Narbu, and it took both of them to bring him down. Even numbers might be a bit trickier, and a big group could prove problematic. They'd find out soon enough how they were going to fare, and that was if they ended up having to fight someone. Takeshi was just about to ask how they planned on traveling before Viral took off, running across the snowdrifts swiftly. Reaching out after their friend, mouth open in protest he let out a sigh, glancing back at Shu. "Well, come on then, looks like we're running." With how light and swift his brother was the little guy ought not have any issue running around here. Takeshi wasn't quite so enthusiastic about himself, he'd already fallen in once thus far. "No reason to get so defensive Viral! I just said I wanted you to lead!" he shouted forward, smiling. Viral was already getting touchy, and they had barely begun their mission. It was going to be an interesting outing if he was this irritable today, maybe it was the cold making him so sour.

Shu found it twice as hard to walk in this snow, especially when he had shoes on. He really needed the shoes on for this one considering it was very cold outside, but he could do without the strange fluffiness that came along with it. He wanted to play in the fluffiness so desperately, but of course Takeshi wouldn’t allow it and nor would Viral when they had a job to do. Maybe another time he’ll be allowed to play in the fluffiness when they had free time or on some other planet if this one was too cold for Takeshi. While it was cold, he definitely didn’t feel as cold as he could probably have been without being pretty hairy. Seeing Viral run off, Shu looked to Takeshi before bouncing off after him, using his hands to bounce through the snow. It was pretty exciting, but also a little scary since he remembered the Elite they had to fight was very hard and had to be fought with Takeshi, but if that was going to be the case again then maybe they were stronger than they once were to fend off any possible attackers.

Viral wasn’t worried too much about the Narbu, but they were large and strong so if they decided to use their numbers against them then they were going to be in some moderate trouble. He really didn’t feel like fighting anyway, despite the beliefs of Takeshi that he was always looking for a fight. Takeshi was certainly showing off his short attention span as well, as if only trying to further the annoyance he might be feeling right now, “You were too busy playing around with your brother to remember…which is typical of you”, he spoke harshly, just annoyed at his antics at this point. If they could concentrate for just this once then they would be alright by themselves, “Yeah, it took two of you to get him to submit…” Continuing on with his run, he couldn’t help but get annoyed at Takeshi’s constant moaning, his eyes looking back at him as he continued, “Maybe I wouldn’t be if you learned to pay attention more…”

Moving through the snow wasn't too difficult really. So long as they moved fast enough there wasn't even time for them to sink down, plus they could use Ki to keep themselves from doing so. Viral wasn't so lucky as to be able to fly, but judging by the scarcity of clothes in comparison to the boys he didn't mind the cold quite as much. That must be handy, not being bothered by something like this. Pretty situational though too, Takeshi mused. There were the polar regions on Earth, winters, and then Narbu. Other worlds probably had cold too, but far as he was aware very few places were this harsh. On a scale of practicality being immune to cold wasn't that useful. He'd like to think so at least, but having a gust of wind find its way down his collar and chill his entire being made him envious of Viral. This place couldn't be all too far away, hopefully.

"I was only playing with Shu because he wanted to play!" Takeshi retorted, getting all defensive. Realizing he might upset Shu by saying such things he looked back, smiling apologetically, "I mean... I would play with you anyways, you know? But I played with you before because you were asking me to. And I paid enough attention to know what we are doing." If at least one of them knew where they were going then what did it matter if the others didn't as well? Not like all three of them had to navigate, just one would do. Again being called out for his attention, or lack thereof, Takeshi stuck out his tongue at Viral childishly. "I know enough to do what we've got to do, that's what matters. So I missed some details here and there, big deal." Viral was bound to fill him in anyways if he had indeed missed something important so there was no worry in that regard. Jumping up over a high bank of snow Takeshi grinned as he leaned over slightly, scooping up some snow in his hand. Giving Shu a knowing look he tossed the snowball right at Viral, trying to hit him square in the back. "Catch!"

Shu could only stare at Takeshi with confusion, wondering what he meant by that and whether he was blaming him for the distraction. They were playing earlier and he was still hyped up, but Takeshi didn’t need to play with him if he didn’t want to. Listening to Takeshi pleading with him to try and reconsider his words, he sighed and bounced off towards Takeshi a little more, “I listened while I played! I am good at it”, he spoke quickly, giving a nod with each bounce, “I am very smart because Miss Yumi said so!” He didn’t need to be blamed for that one, even if Takeshi tried to recover from that. Bouncing around in the snow as he followed on after Viral, he watched him curiously as he argued with Takeshi before having a watch at what Takeshi was doing, feeling confused over it before letting out a gasp as he threw it at Viral. That was not a good idea from Takeshi, especially when Viral was not the most playful person out there.

Viral was certainly annoyed at Takeshi for his laziness, especially when he was supposed to be the King’s son. He didn’t need to be the leader all the time even if he had all that experience with him, just hoping maybe Takeshi would act responsible for once, “Then next time, learn to pay attention! If it turned out I couldn’t go then what would you do?” he questioned him, having about enough of his nonsense. If Takeshi expected everyone to do everything for him then he had another thing coming, but despite that Viral didn’t trust Takeshi with handling the Narbu. He was just there to act as a representative as far as he was concerned. Continuing on with his run, the moment something slammed into his back he turned around, unsheathing his blade as he swiped it through the snow with great force, sending a wave of snow at Takeshi. He was startled pretty badly by that, but he was not without anger over it, “Stupid ape! What was that for??”

Takeshi had a perfectly good excuse for not hearing everything, he'd been busy with Shu. Of course then his brother had to turn around and say he'd heard it all, making his excuse moot. Okay so maybe he had sort of zoned out, but it wasn't like that doomed them. Viral knew perfectly well where they were going, he had no reason to know himself. To some Narbu settlement, that was the gist of it and all he needed to go by. "Oh yeah? Yumi said you're smart huh?" the older boy asked, grinning at his brother, "I think you're pretty smart too. For a little goofball," he added teasingly. Man, couldn't this deal with him not paying attention just die already? He got it, he had to be more diligent when they were being told what to do. Maybe if Vegeta didn't explain things so dryly he wouldn't,have a problem. Something really had the Beastman's underwear up in a bunch today, more than usual. He had to relax, it wasn't as if this mission of theirs was the most dangerous thing they had ever done. How would he take to being hit by a snowball, Takeshi wondered.

Not well, evidently. Grinning as he tossed the snowball at Viral he expected surprise, sure. What he hadn't expected was a wall of snow being kicked his way, gasping as he skidded to a halt to try and avoid it. The billow missed Shu, but Takeshi found himself rather covered in snow now, looking not unlike a snowman. Giving his head a shake to clear away some of the snow he shuddered involuntarily, glaring at Viral. "I could ask the same thing! All I did was throw a snowball, and you buried me!" he shouted back, looking down at himself. Oh man, now his clothes were going to get wet and he'd probably freeze, or get damn near it. Shaking off all the snow that he could he gave himself a pat down, trying to clean himself as much as possible. "Sheesh... Attack a guy for trying to have some fun why don't you..." he mumbled, frowning as he looked back at Viral. Would it kill their friend to lighten up, seriously? That had been all in good fun, and it wasn't like he'd attacked Viral or anything. He'd not even thrown it that hard, it was barely a tap. Seeing where this was going Takeshi bit his tongue, instead sighing softly and stuffing his hands into his pockets. "I'm... Sorry for throwing that at you," he said, looking away childishly. That 'stupid ape' comment was just fuel for him to bite right back, but he was trying to be better as Shu had said before. "I won't do it again, alright? I'm done."

Viral did not have a good time with that, especially when he thought it could be a weapon of some kind. Getting attacked from behind would be the worst outcome and he was ready to combat it, but all he managed to do was make Takeshi look like an idiot. Growling lowly he sheathed his cleaver away, giving his head a shake, “Don’t you know to never attack anyone from behind? Especially when we might be heading into a possible battle here…” he spoke with a sigh, feeling both annoyed and embarrassed, “Don’t think just because their planet was freed doesn’t mean they’ll not want to fight! You realise they would love to pick a fight with someone like you just to test their strength? Think of a Saiyan but just pure strength and muscle…” While he was a little annoyed, his nerves were certainly keeping themselves contained. He was worried over a number of things like the possible cleaving in half of Takeshi if he annoyed him too much. He was still bugged over that little incident and was beginning to wonder if that’s what was wrong with his control before, especially when he never had control problems before the Saiyans to the point where he became downright evil and violent. He was probably thinking about it too much; it was nothing, really. Grumbling a little he immediately set off once more, figuring they didn’t have much longer to go before they arrived.

Shu found it a little funny that Takeshi got all covered like that, smiling at him when he got annoyed at Viral and vice versa. They were both acting a little silly, but Viral had a point. He didn’t get him much of a warning other than to catch and the end result was amusing, bouncing on over to Takeshi to throw away some of the snow, “Ooh! Now you’re all fluffy!” he squeaked, bouncing away when Takeshi decided to shake away the snow instead. Smiling at him, he tilted his head a little as he looked between Takeshi and Viral, eventually looking to Takeshi, “Looks like I’m smarter! I would never do that”. Giggling, Shu bounced on after Viral, hoping to catch up before they lost him in the great white.

Being covered in snow as he was now probably ranked at the top of worst things to happen. Thank goodness he had so many layers on, otherwise Takeshi could well see himself freezing on the spot. Instead he got a chill, nothing too bad so long as he wiped snow off of himself. After shaking off like a dog he began patting himself down to boot, determined to get every little offending flake off of his person. "Attack? It was a snowball! It's not even remotely an attack!" he retorted, rolling his eyes dramatically. It was always so high stakes with Viral, he needed to relax and have fun for a change. The Beastman had a fair point though, they should be paying more mind to what they were doing. There was no way of knowing how the Narbu would receive them, and if the Shaharians were any indication they'd best be on their guard. Worst case scenarios and all that fun stuff. "Okay, okay, sorry. And we'll be fine, we've fought one before," Takeshi explained, sighing as he rubbed at his head. "They're strong, but we're faster, at least faster than the one we fought. We can hit and run, that's all we've got to do to win if a fight breaks out." Couldn't beat a target you couldn't touch, he had learned that through numerous training exercises with Shu. Granted the gap in their agility had closed some as of late, but Shu was still very much the swifter of the pair.

Still having a bit of snow on himself Takeshi went back to brushing it off, glancing over at Shu when he came to help. Smirking he shook himself one last time, ridding his clothes entirely of snow, save for what might fall. It felt better already, though he was pretty sure there was some snow in a few places that he couldn't well clear out easily. His brother's little quip made the older boy frown, raising a hand to speak up but instead being left standing there as Shu ran off. "H-Hey! Come back here!" he called, running after the others, "You are so not smarter than me!" Faster, sure, more adorable, apparently. But smarter? He loved Shu, but the little guy scarcely could dress himself still, how was that smarter? Takeshi knew he was no Vegeta, but compared to his sibling... Well there was no contest there. And there he went again, getting carried away with some meaningless contest between himself and Shu. He really needed to stop doing that. Coming up alongside his brother he smiled, reaching up to pull his cap back a bit, freeing up his bangs. "Have you ever had a snowball fight before Shu? It's like what I just did, but with a lot of people throwing at one another. I've seen kids do it at school, it looked like fun. We should try it sometime."

Shu found it pretty funny that Takeshi was completely oblivious to the fact that he was annoying Viral, especially when Viral made it clear that he didn’t want to be played with that much. Takeshi should probably try and catch Viral in a better mood and not when they were heading off into possible danger territory. If he wasn’t able to figure out Viral was not in a good mood at that particular time then he really needed to try and think for a second before acting. With it all being pretty amusing, Takeshi calling him not as smart as him just didn’t add up to what Yumi told him, “I am too! I am smarter because I was told!” he squeaked, bouncing along happily. Shu had never heard of a snowball fight himself, but if Takeshi said other people played it then it must had been an actual thing, “Ooh? School? What’s a school again…? We should! It sounds like fun! Does it hurt much? Mister Viral didn’t seem to like it…”

Viral couldn’t be bothered with Takeshi’s screwing around when he should be able to see some seriousness in what they were doing, but of course he’d screw around and try to impress his brother. Shu was a simple creature, but that didn’t mean Takeshi had to act like a simpleton. Finding it hard to put a little distance between himself and the other two as they continued with their annoying banter, he tried to think on possible strategies just incase things went sour. He’d maybe try to get Takeshi to speak first to them, hope he could be friendly with them and not show off and make them mad. If he could behave himself just this once then he shouldn’t need to step in and try to calm things down, especially when these aliens always being willing to fight stronger creatures. Continuing to run across the wasteland, eventually he soon came to a halt. Looking back at Takeshi, he huffed before looking back down a large basin with walls of ice, a rough path leading down and lots of buildings made from bone and large animal skins. This was most likely a place to find warriors, not unlike that harsh stone building the Saiyans constructed, “You should be the first to go...”

Takeshi only rolled his eyes at Shu, trying to disagree as politely as possible. The little guy just wasn't all that bright, he questioned nearly every single thing they did. There was curiosity and then there was no knowing, his brother fell into the latter. Not that any of them minded teaching him, but for someone so clueless to tout that they were smart, eh, it was kind of a stretch. "Alright, fine. You're smart, but you're not smarter than I am," Takeshi answered, smirking as he looked at Shu. "You forgot what school is? Man, it's in one ear and out the other with you. Though I guess it's been a while huh? School's this place where kids go to learn. You sit in a room with other kids and a teacher... Well, teaches you. It's kinda like what Vegeta does for Viral. Only, the teacher is old, and there are more kids... And they're not aliens, usually. And they learn more than just how to speak." Okay, so it was a bit different than what Vegeta did, but it was along the same idea anyways. It was tricky explaining this without going into detail that would only confuse Shu. That, and Takeshi didn't exactly know the inner workings of it himself, only having observed now and again. Enrolling Shu might not be a half bad idea actually, if they ever got the chance. Or get him a tutor or something, so that way they weren't the ones educating him.

The chill was getting to Takeshi, though it really wasn't that bad. The clothes were doing their job even with the outermost layer being damp, he'd be fine so long as he didn't sink in again. Good thing they were doing their job too, this was turning into some walk to find the Narbu. Eventually the trio came across what had to be their place of residence, it was the only sign of civilization thus far. Before them was a massive basin, whose slopes on the sides looked to go down an easy 50 meters at least. Down at the center of the basin was the city itself, which from here it was tricky to make out much of anything. Those were certainly buildings, and it stood to reason there would be some Narbu down there. Standing at the edge of the basin Takeshi leaned over, squinting against the dim lighting to try and spot anyone. "Wait, you want me to go...?" he asked, frowning and looking over at Viral. He didn't hate the idea, he was just surprised the Beastman was having him take the lead. Lifting his frown into a smile the Saiyan shrugged his shoulders, stepping past his friend and brother. "Alright then! Follow me!" Down the precarious path which looked to wind along the walls of the basin. Icy, sloped steps, no problem. If they slipped they could catch themselves, same went for Viral. Slow and steady, that was all. Placing his first foot on the step tentatively Takeshi tested his footing, starting his descent. "I hope someone's actually here, otherwise this is a huge waste of time."

Shu was having fun, that’s all that mattered just now. He didn’t have much of a care when it came to whether or not he was able to figure out what certain words meant and what things that were new to him were. If Takeshi could tell him what they were or if he found out for himself, he was still told he was still smart by Yumi and that was all that mattered. Giggling as he bounced along, he moved closer to Takeshi and smiled up at him, “Well you did tell me a very long time ago! It’s a very big word!” he spoke quickly, trying to get ahead of Takeshi, “Would you say when I was rescued, I was in school? When I learned how to speak and wear clothes!” As Viral came to a halt up ahead Shu did too, coming to a bit of a skid before getting to the edge of the strangely big hole. Slowly moving closer to the edge, Shu tilted his head as he stared down into the settlement below. It looked fairly scary to him, nothing like the big rocky place they were at before, “Oooohhhh…it looks like a scary place…is it safe?”

Viral didn’t have much of a care for the look of this place, but judging by the look of it this place was a warrior’s city. The buildings were not made from stone, but from the hides and bones of their prey. These guys were going to be strong and he could see why it was a chosen location, but he still felt like there would be a struggle to reason with these people. Looking to Takeshi as he could only sound surprised by his decision, he gave him a nod and pointed down, “You’re the one who ‘defeated’ the Elite, after all…” Watching Takeshi get all confident, his eyes went to his feet as he watched him try to manage with the path down, the ice oddly causing him to think cautiously about heading down. Letting out a sigh, Viral shook his head, “You act as if you can’t fly!” he sighed in annoyance, looking back at him, “It doesn’t matter if I can’t fly! If you’re scared of falling on your ass then just go!”

Takeshi grinned at Shu, picking up the pace a bit to try and keep ahead of him. "School is a big word? Shu, you're going to be in for a shock if you think school is a big word," he commented, laughing, "And no, school is nothing like when you were rescued. You were taught some things, but school teaches you a lot more. If we get you into school you'll see what I mean." Though was school really for Shu? Considering what they did you didn't exactly need to be all that educated, albeit it couldn't hurt. Maybe then the little guy wouldn't have to ask what something was every ten minutes. The edge of the basin came up quick, so much so Takeshi barely had time to stop himself. Not that going over the edge would have been all bad for someone who could fly, but still. Skidding to a halt he looked down into the basin curiously, looking at the big settlement in particular. "I'm sure it's fine. It's not really scary, just cold..." This whole damn world was cold. It was odd seeing a place like this, Takeshi sort of figured the Narbu would be living in more advanced places. The Saiyan building they were in before, he figured, was the norm for them. Evidently not. Well considering they lived in huts chances were there wouldn't be ships for the rebels here, but manpower was still a possibility.

Takeshi was fine and dandy to go, albeit he hadn't expected to be given lead. Usually Viral had such an issue with him taking charge with things and how he did it, but this time the Beastman actually told him to. "Hey, Shu beat him too you know! By that logic he could lead us," he quipped, smirking as he looked back at the path, "But if you insist, sure, I'll lead." Not that welcoming of a path admittedly, it was steep and didn't look to have very good footing. Stepping down cautiously on the first step he made sure he wasn't going to slip, slowly starting his way down. He'd only gotten down about half a dozen before Viral snapped at him, making Takeshi glance back annoyed. "If we're in such a hurry then I'll go faster!" he said, "And I'm not scared of falling! If you're so impatient then I'll hurry it up!" Now he was going at a regular pace, whatever to please Viral and make him not snap. In moving faster though he was much less careful with his footing, sliding slightly each step. It was only inevitable then that his foot would go out from under him, with Takeshi gasping in surprise as he lost his balance. Landing on his backside he slid down the steps some ways, bumping along as he did so. When he finally came to a stop it was because he slid into a wall, spread out like a starfish against the ice with an audible smack.

It didn't hurt, landing like that. The clothes probably broke some of the impact, and the ice was surprisingly soft. Damn if it wasn't embarrassing though. Takeshi's face was a bright red at the moment, and it wasn't due to the cold. Lingering where he was for a few seconds he finally peeled himself off of the wall, his clothes making sucking noises as they separated from the cold surface. Glancing down at himself he brushed off any bits he could, turning and glancing back up at Viral. "Don't. Say. Anything," he warned, pointing a finger up at the Beastman indignantly. Releasing an annoyed sigh he started down the steps again, being both quicker and a bit more cautious. If he didn't do that ever again it would be too soon. Goodness knows Shu was probably having a blast with him acting like a moron.

Shu didn’t know what they were supposed to do about the slidy stairs, looking confused over whether he was supposed to slide down or shuffle along. Smiling a little as Takeshi made an attempt to get down, his eyes went over to Viral who was quick to tell Takeshi to fly instead. Shu figured he should fly if that was the case, giggling as he slowly floated up, his feet initially going into the air first before he managed to find some sort of balance. He still wasn’t very good at it, but if he didn’t want to fall down the stairs then he should do as Viral said. Slowly spinning around in the air, he watched Takeshi as he instead refused Viral’s suggestion and continued downward; however, one wrong step and Takeshi was suddenly all flying down the stairs. Watching him as he continued downwards, his eyes followed his bumping before ending with a thud. Hurrying on down, Shu too slammed into the ground, landing on his hands.

Viral gave Takeshi the offer to fly and yet it was so easy to find the desire to smack him one for being a moron. Instead of going with the offer the idiot instead decided to walk on down and inevitably slip. Watching him with each thump down all those stairs before he finally landed with a stupid sounding smack, he decided to jump on down himself with Shu floating along. He was able to find some balance because he was used to it, his reflexes and balance was definitely on cat-like levels, given his genes and all, making it pretty damn easy to make Takeshi look like an idiot. Halting just before him, his eyes went to Shu quickly before back to Takeshi, smirking, “No of course not; I won’t say anything”, he spoke, having a brief look at his claws, “Good thing your brother witnessed that and would probably tell everyone even if you told him not to. Now hurry up before I give you a push…”

Takeshi just sort of wanted to remain up on the wall as he was. He could retain a bit of dignity perhaps, not having to face Shu and Viral. Eventually though he did pry himself off of the ice, his face deep red out of sheer embarrassment. The first thing out of his mouth naturally was to tell the others to keep quiet, particularly Shu. It was the Beastman that looked to be enjoying this, smiling at the Saiyan's expense. "Shu won't tell anyone, right buddy?" he asked, glancing over at his brother. The threat of being shoved made Takeshi turn about on the spot, starting down the stairs again, "Alright! Alright, I'm going. Just relax will you?" Sheesh, he didn't know what the big rush was. They were here, the place was in sight, it wasn't as though they were on a tight schedule either. Plus rushing in could only be detrimental, the risk of a fight breaking out was cause for caution. The risk of going down a flight of steps on your tail end was pretty good reason for caution too.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs was a blessing in disguise for Takeshi who was quite glad not to have slipped again. If Viral and Shu weren't there alongside him he may well have knelt down and kissed the ground at that point. Instead he just allowed himself a relieved sight, stomping one foot on the ground to reassure himself he had solid footing again. So this was where they were going to find the Narbu, eh? "Aren't there supposed to be... You know... People?" Either they were inside or not here at the moment, this was kind of confusing. Granted they had only just come into the settlement, it was possible no one lived in these parts. Or no one lived in this place at all. For all they knew it was an abandoned place. Moving over to one of the homes he stood at the flap of a door, listening for any sound inside. Hearing nothing he pulled back the bit of skin carefully, peering inside at the vacant home. "There's nobody here... We sure we have the right place?" Takeshi asked, looking back at Viral. "I mean... Shouldn't we have found someone by now?"

The trio hadn't found any Narbu just yet, but the Narbu had found them. Being nigh unrecognizable in their clothing not a single person knew who the strangers were, only just able to figure out two were Saiyans. Saiyans and Narbu were anything but comrades, so the appearance of some put the settlement on high alert. Children and non-combatants had been moved into the center of the settlement where a few warriors stayed with them for protection, just in case. In the meantime the Chieftain had gathered a few warriors as well, set on driving off the newcomers. The group of five sat on a nearby ridge, overlooking their homes as the strangers began to walk about. They weren't ill prepared for something like this either, there was always the notion that Saiyans might return. Snorting in amusement as he watched them search fruitlessly the Chieftain held up a hand, signaling for his men to get ready. With a motion forward all four then jumped from the ridge, right down and at the unsuspecting trio below.

They must have the wrong place, no other way of explaining it. Did they even have information about other settlements though? Worst case scenario Takeshi supposed they could search around a bit more, hopefully find some indication of where people might be, or where they had gone. Sighing softly he looked down at the ground, kicking a bit of snow out of annoyance. "Should we have tried going back to the base? Maybe there are some of them who moved into the place, you know? I mean, it's got to be nicer in there than in these huts." Still staring at the ground he noticed something odd then, what looked like a shadow. Passing it off as a cloud overhead at first he frowned seeing it grow larger, finally lifting his head and looking up. Seeing then four massive figures coming down on them Takeshi was engulfed in a plume of snow, disappearing out of view for a moment. He was alright though, leaping out of the snow and back towards Shu and Viral, covered yet again for the third time today. "I found them!"

Takeshi sure was acting all funny around Viral, at least ever since they got out of the ship Takeshi had been acting all silly around him. Looking between the pair, he did wonder if Takeshi was really trying to get Viral’s approval. It was a little funny and pretty curious, but Viral was having none of it and was just getting on at it while giving Takeshi his disapproval along the way. It wasn’t so bad, especially when they were willing to work together anyway. Seeing as how Takeshi’s slide down looked quite fun, Shu instead decided to get down on his backside and slide down the stairs, finding it pretty fun if a little cold for his tail. This was pretty fun, it was even more fun than flying down when he knew he couldn’t really land all that well. Bumping his way down the stairs beside Takeshi and Viral before finally reaching the bottom, pushing himself up onto his feet and giving his backside a quick dusting down before he looked to Takeshi, “That was fun! But this place is scary…”

Viral didn’t think much of Shu acting all weird when it came to the long run, considering where he came from. He was a cub essentially and acting his age wasn’t an option when he had never experienced it. Takeshi was too easy on him and didn’t really let his mentality grow, but then again this kid didn’t look like he had grown any since he was twelve considering how short he was. Saiyans were typically short, but he was very small. Sighing a little, he looked around the place to see if there was anyone around. This whole place stank of ambush, but of course Takeshi was distracted and too busy to take any mind of this place. If they were going to convince these guys there was going to have to be some form of intimidation, showing they were strong and their people could get stronger if they joined them in this war. He still hated this ‘mission’ they were on, especially when they had better things to do.

With Takeshi watching his feet rather than watching where he was going, Viral decided to look around instead. There was definitely someone around, but soon enough there was no need to search anymore as the air quickly changed and their position felt compromised. Moving closer to Shu, he quickly looked around before the Narbu suddenly let themselves be known as they soon dropped in. Takeshi couldn’t have been more ill-prepared as they landed right in front of him, a mass of snow suddenly covered him and only made Takeshi look like a fool. So much for having him as the Saiyan representative; recovering quick enough but yet again looking like an idiot. Groaning in annoyance, he rubbed his head, “Takeshi…just…would you get a grip and talk to them??” He was trying not to swear at Takeshi for being such an idiot, especially when they were supposed to be friendly with these people and ask them for help while looking proud and appearing strong. These people were obviously waiting to ambush them and yet Takeshi was acting like a moron.
