Takeshi had been fairly concerned about leaving Shu and T'charrl alone. There was no telling how the citizens were going to react to what they had done, or if more guards were in the area. It came as a huge relief then when he returned to find them unharmed, landing the ship close as he could to save them the trouble of walking. The dilemma of transporting T'charrl back was solved when he shrank down to size, meaning all three of them, their captive included, could take the shuttle. First helping their friend inside, the older boy then helped Shu in as well, lastly bringing in Sana and strapping the Shaharian down against a cot. For his brother and friend Takeshi opened up the container of food, grabbing himself just a fruit drink to rehydrate himself. Dropping down into the pilot's seat he carefully adjusted their ship, pivoting it around before getting it to rise up over the buildings around them. At last they could get going, but not before handing off Sana of course. Easing the ship into a slow flight forward he glanced back at the others, smiling proudly at both of them. They had done a lot in that fight, and things had ultimately worked out for them, even if it was more difficult than they had expected. "You did plenty... Don't sell yourself short, Shu. We wouldn't have done it without you or T'charrl." Especially T'charrl, he'd saved the day back there. "They'll cool off... Maybe... If not then oh well, not like we're coming back any time soon."

At this point pretty much everything was hurting, from his cuts and bruises to his eyebrows it seemed like. Takeshi really just wanted to push Sana out of the ship while it was moving and keep flying, but that wouldn't be very nice. Besides, they did have to collect their reward, meager though it may be. Man... Getting beat up like this really wasn't worth medicine, what a letdown this little mission turned out to be. Drinking up the last of his fruit pouch, Takeshi tossed it into back, inadvertently smacking an unconscious Sana in the head with it. "If you two want to stay in the ship, I'll drop that guy off," he said, referring to the Shaharian, "I'll just tell Servas to send the medicines out to our ship, we don't have room for it in here." Plus it was the least that the alien could do for them, considering they took out some big wig for the enemy. If Servas said no then unfortunately they'd have to make room, or come back for it. Eh, Takeshi really didn't want to have to come back again. The slower pace of their traveling made the trip to the other city take a bit longer, but soon enough they were over the smaller settlement, gradually descending into the town square to a waiting Servas and some of his men, presumably to take Sana away. Touching the ship down carefully, Takeshi leaned back in his seat, closing his eyes for a moment and letting out a deep sigh. "Shu...? Is that guy still out?"

After all of that nonsense Shu did wonder whether this guy was going to be able to be held under proper control and not allowed to go and attack like that, but then again he didn’t know how strong the Shaman was or how strong others of his kind were. If it took soldiers to get to this man then maybe it was worth keeping them here and not taking them off the planet. He still didn’t like how they had to do that, especially when it wasn’t fair in his eyes. Letting out a deep sigh he shook his head, eventually and slowly looking up to Takeshi again, “Noooo, it was Friend T’charrl that did more than me! I just bit some guy and went crazy again”, he spoke, taking another fruit for T’charrl to have, “It was nice coming back, though! But sore feet and very hot air doesn’t really go well with me. I don’t like being too hot and too dry at the same time!”

Shu could do with a nap when he got home and so could T’charrl, seeing how hurt he was and how torn up his wings were. He hoped Vegeta or the doctor didn’t get too angry with him, but if he did he would stand up for his friend and say how much he did. Feeling as if he could do with a wash too, he stared at the man curiously before looking back to Takeshi, giving a nod, “We stay here and we’ll be okay! I lost my shoes back there”, he spoke quickly, looking at his feet, “I am not very good with clothes when I do that…” Contemplating over his lack of footware, he looked back to Sana as he slowly moved forward, giving him a poke with his foot to have a check on him, “Ummm…uh huh, he is”, he nodded, looking to Takeshi, “Friend T’charrl wrapped him up pretty good! I don’t know how he’ll get out of that…”

Everyone had done their part in that little raid of theirs. Some more than others, sure, but everyone had contributed. Or maybe that was just Takeshi refusing to let Shu believe he was useless, he wasn't sure. Either way he supposed it didn't matter so much now, it was over and done with, that's what was important. "If we come back again we're not getting involved in any fighting. And we're definitely taking the shuttle," he said, nodding his head, "I am kind of wondering what the rest of the planet looks like. Maybe there's more places like that city, where it's all green and lush. We should find out sometime." Well after this fighting nonsense had died down. They were getting in the middle of a lot of people's battles as of late, it was getting kind of old. Sure, helping people out was nice and all he supposed, but where they didn't have any real stake in what was happening it was kind of a waste of time.

It wouldn't take an army to drop off Sana, so Takeshi figured he'd do it himself. Every bit of his body yelled at him to stay in his seat, but he was still more mobile than both Shu and T'charrl despite that. Feeling like he could collapse was a potential risk, but he'd never exactly been a cautious person before anyways, to hell with being safe. The sooner they handed off their captive, the sooner they got their reward and could leave. "We've got a ton of those shoes, I don't think one pair matters," the older boy commented, shrugging his shoulders. It might just well be better from now on if they let Shu run about stark naked. No clothes for him to rip and he'd be his old little wild self. Then again... Takeshi wasn't too keen on seeing his brother frolicking about in his hairy birthday suit. They really ought to get to teaching him to control his transformations, sooner rather than later. Setting the ship down in the town center he took a moment to relax, checking to make sure Sana was still out. "Good, that will make this easier. And who cares how he'll get out, or how they'll get him out. Our part is done after we hand him off."

Servas was waiting right outside, so somehow they knew the trio had been coming. Hm, sneaky lizard, probably had someone watching them back in the other city. Whatever, it was a warzone after all he supposed, not unusual to have spies and the likes. Pushing himself up out of his seat Takeshi stepped into the back of the shuttle, going right for the unconscious Shaharian. Leaning over and wincing as the wound on his back was strained, Takeshi picked up Sana in his arms, draping the alien over his good shoulder. Wow, for a lizard he was sure heavy, and he smelled bad too, yuck. Wrinkling his nose in disgust he carefully stepped around T'charrl, going to the release for the doors and pulling it. "I'll be right back you guys, just hang tight." Waiting for the doors to lower completely, the Saiyan frowned at the wave of heat that hit him. Oh yeah, it was kind of hot on this planet. The air-conditioned shuttle seemed like heaven comparatively right now, but he couldn't stay inside. Sighing softly Takeshi stepped on outside, squinting slightly against the sun as he did so. He'd barely gotten out of the ship when he walked right into a small circle of soldiers, with Servas standing at the head of the group.

"Friends! Knew sending you was good idea! Strong you are, managed to beat Sana!" Servas said cheerfully, smiling his toothy smile. From what he could see at first glance it looked like it had been difficult, Takeshi appeared to be a bit worse for wear, but still very much active. Such as he figured, Saiyans were quite a durable bunch, even when beaten down.

Takeshi forced a small smile, nodding his head as he adjusted Sana on his shoulder. "Yeah.... We did, kind of. Though you forgot to mention that he and his men had been trained by Saiyans. We didn't expect that at all, so thanks for that."

Servas' smile changed to a more apologetic one, bowing his head as a show of condolences. "A thousand apologies, friends. We didn't think they'd be a challenge, honest. Thought you would be okay, weren't sure of their true strength either. See now we were wrong, sorry. But you succeeded!" he added, lifting his head again. "Beat Sana, his men too, I guess! Not solve the problem, but put a big dent in it. Maybe now we negotiate, get the others to abandon Saiyan influence. After all, cannot become strong ourselves when we're divided." If they could get back to their old ways, each city having its own ruler, and said rulers working in tandem, then Shaharians could be strong again. With groups breaking off to serve some tyrant of a king they would never be able to regain their glory.

Takeshi was hard pressed not to voice his annoyance, perhaps too tired more than anything to bother. Giving a nod of his head he lifted Sana up, dropping him at the feet of a few waiting soldiers before giving his shoulder wound a rubbing. "Sounds like you've got your hands full there, good luck with that. We're uh, kind of busy ourselves too, you know. So if you don't mind, we could kind of use that stuff you promised, we need to get going." Shu, T'charrl and himself all needed some medical attention, and they'd wasted enough time on this planet as it was. For a dead end they sure put in a lot of effort here, with any luck their next stop would be better.

"Yes, yes! We have reward, prepared for you! If in hurry then no worry, we get you home, yes!" Glancing down at Sana at their feet, Servas motioned for two of his men to grab their captive, watching as he was taken off towards the same building they'd stopped in earlier. Gesturing to another pair of Shaharians he smiled as they carried over a sizable crate, placing it at Takeshi's feet. Lifting the lid to show him the contents were all there they left it for him to put inside, seeing how it was fairly full with T'charrl and Shu being inside. "More favors you've done for us, owe you a great deal. This is not payment, not enough. If ever come again, need any more, we'll be happy to help!"

Yeah, after they probably did another favor for the guy, Takeshi thought cynically. Standing around in the heat going through these formalities was making him grumpy, among other things. Still he managed a smile, nodding his head before grabbing hold of the crate. "We'll keep that in mind, don't worry. Hope everything works out for you guys here, I'd hate to come back and find out its a mess." Really having little desire to sit around and chat he took the chance to drag the crate inside of the ship, managing to find room at the head of the compartment, just behind his seat. Having to find a few cords lying around he fastened it as best he could, hoping it wouldn't slide about. Turning back to the open door he gave a small wave to the group outside, pulling the latch again and waiting for the door to close. Once it had shut completely Takeshi sat down on top of the container, sighing softly and running a hand through his hair. "Holy crap... That guy is annoyingly happy."

Shu was pretty sure there would be places like that city somewhere else on this planet, but he didn’t really want to hang around for too long when they had other stuff to do. While it would be nice to and he would enjoy it, people wouldn’t and he would still struggle to find reason as to why they should stay. T’charrl seemed to like exploring the planet, but his body didn’t and that was going to be a problem for the poor guy. He looked so ill just sitting there suckling on fruit, making Shu feel bad for something he couldn’t control. Letting out a sigh, he nodded at Takeshi as he shifted a little on the spot, “We should try and find a nice place sometime for Friend T’charrl and not go out in sandy-sand”, he spoke, picking out another fruit, “We should also get more fruit here for us; who knows when we get fruit again? I don’t know…do you know? I don’t think so”.

T’charrl could only slowly chew on the fruit he was given, letting the juices out first so he could drink that up and then eat the rest of the fruit. It was pretty difficult to do, but with his prehensile tongue he was able to get the juice first before eating the fruit itself. He did wish that he wasn’t so weak, but there wasn’t much he could do about that other than try and regain his strength and heal up eventually. Smiling a little when Shu gave him another fruit, he did try to take it himself but instead Shu fed it to him like he was a pet getting a treat. Looking out as they finally landed, he shifted a little as Takeshi decided to take the alien just now and drop him off so they could head off quicker.

Shu peered outside at Servas, watching him curiously as Takeshi decided to deal with the guy himself. Slowly sinking back again, he searched through their supplies and took out a bottle of water, staring at it for a moment before slowly moving closer to T’charrl. Taking hold of one of his claws Shu gently lifted it, moving the bottle towards it before poking a hole in the top. Smiling at T’charrl, he took a drink before holding it up to T’charrl, “You should too! It’s yummy!” he giggled happily, waving it in front of his face. Watching T’charrl curiously, he stared at his tongue as it moved into the hole, sipping up the water in a way he couldn’t understand. Tilting his head curiously, he soon bounced on the spot a bit as he stared back up at him, “See? Yummy!” Feeling a lot more bubbly when compared to before, Shu squeaked when Takeshi soon returned, watching him curiously before bouncing up and waving at the window, “Bye, friends! Back soon!”

Maybe some time they'd come back here, it was hard to say. After they dealt with the King who knows what they would do next. Plenty of things were up in the air, there was not a definite just yet. "We'll bring him somewhere nice, maybe Uuonoe or something, I don't know," Takeshi answered, rising up out of his seat. That wasn't so much his concern right now as getting these two back was. Sightseeing could wait until later, when they weren't busy. Being asked to get some fruit made the older boy sulk slightly, looking over at Shu with a small smile. "We don't have time to get fruit, and I doubt they brought some. Maybe next time, sorry Shu." Goodness only knows if they hung around any longer Servas might get the wrong impression and ask them to do another mission. Helping was fine and all, but in small bursts. They weren't anyone's errand boys, though as of late it kind of felt that way. "I'm sure some other world will have fruit, we'll get some."

While Shu and T'charrl relaxed, Takeshi took care of business. It was a one person job anyways, all they were really doing was handing off Sana. Easy enough, if not for having to listen to Servas blather on. Someone in his position shouldn't be so darn cheerful, it was like the guy was short a few screws or something. Trying to be polite as he could Takeshi spoke with the Shaharian for a moment, getting all the formalities and gratitude out of the way. Showing some signs of impatience he nodded gratefully when given their reward, making doubly sure that they had gotten what they were promised. Plenty of medicine, that was for sure. Some of it could probably even be used when they got back to the ship. Then again... They had the tanks, and the solution from the tanks. Huh... So this whole thing was kind of a total waste of time then, huh? Groaning inwardly Takeshi nonetheless accepted their reward, carrying it inside and securing it as best he could. Having that box knock around and potentially hit Shu or T'charrl would kind of suck, best to strap it down for now. Everything was all set at last, and with farewells from both Takeshi and Shu alike they sealed the shuttle, more than ready to get going.

"I don't even know when we're going to use this medicine... We've got stuff back on the ship." Takeshi had been going on for a bit about this, still struggling to see the use in their reward. He supposed they might take it out on the field, have something to use in a fight. Only issue with that was they didn't exactly know what every little thing was for, or what it was made of even. The best thing they could do for now was hand it over to someone who knew medicine and let them check it out, see if anything in there was worthwhile. By now his injuries had begun to scab over, thankfully, so no more bleeding. Everything was just sort of a numb pounding at this point, a minute or so in a tank would take care of these no problem. Or he could just put some bandages on them and call it a day, the cuts were hardly life threatening. Glancing back at Shu, Takeshi smiled, reaching back with an open hand for some fruit. "So uh... When we get back, don't tell Yumi I left you guys for a bit, yeah? She'll probably kick my butt if she found out."

Shu was a little sad that he couldn’t get some fruit here, feeling they could have at least asked. He enjoyed the fruit from here before and it would be good for T’charrl considering how filled with water the fruit was, Shu really thought they were going to be good for him until he recovered. He didn’t know how fast T’charrl took to get better and water with sugar seemed to be the best thing, especially when T’charrl was pretty happily taking just water right now. He must have been thirsty; the whole bottle was gone in less than a minute. Looking at it curiously when it was all gone, he smiled at T’charrl again, giggling, “You silly! Shouldn’t drink so fast or you burp…but do you? I don’t think I’ve heard you do that before…”

Contemplating to himself for a moment, waving goodbye to the people was probably the highlight of the moment for now and he would certainly be happy enough to visit again whenever possible. It might be a long time before he did so treasuring the time he had to say bye was definitely on his urgent list. Feeling satisfied with that his eyes soon went back to Takeshi, giving him a little smile as he contemplated Yumi’s reaction, “We weren’t left for long! It shouldn’t matter that much”, he nodded, reaching over for a fruit and placing it in Takeshi’s open hand, “I don’t think she’ll be mad…she’s nice to me and Friend T’charrl and sometimes to you! Plus she’s with your friend a lot now, but I still don’t know which friend…”

“T-The doctor…is going to kill me…” T’charrl soon muttered, his head low as he slowly swayed it as his mind tried to think for the words in their language, “Told me no…shouted…told Vegeta…” T’charrl was not all that prepared for the possible screaming he’ll get if Vegeta was there waiting for them, especially when he was warned about going out there and still did it. He probably would get shouted at for getting himself hurt and disobeying orders, but probably not as badly as he might get when he did in front of his mother. His mother would throw him across the room even if he was hurt, Shu had seen that before, but he did hope Vegeta wasn’t like that too despite anticipating it happening a lot when he made a bad choice, “S-Say alien did…this…not flying…”

Takeshi nodded gratefully, grasping the fruit and biting into it hungrily. The juice was quite gratifying, but he still would rather something like a steak or other kind of meat. It would do for now, it's not like he could be too picky on their little ship. "But she gets mad when you two get hurt with me. I'm supposed to keep you safe and all that," he said, taking another bite of the fruit. He was the responsible older brother, that's what she had said a million times over by now. Okay, but why was he responsible for T'charrl then? Man, what a pain. He'd watch over them either way, feeling compelled to protect his friends and family, but it was a drag when you had someone drilling that into your head. "And she's with Choi. He's a bit goofier than Kai is, that's how I remember. There's some differences too, but they're hard to notice unless you really know them." Takeshi was grateful for him and Shu not being identical like that, it would be so confusing. If they acted the same as they did now he supposed it wouldn't be so bad, their attitudes were like night and day sometimes. Munching on another bit of fruit he lifted his arm, wiping some juice off on his sleeve before burping. "Ah... We should see if Kai wants to train again later. And actually train, not play tag like before."

Takeshi could barely hear T'charrl in the back, having to really tune in to make out what was being said. They knew their friend had been getting lessons in speaking, but it was still surprising to hear him be so fluent. Smiling slightly amused he shook his head, glancing back at the Kaesstrian, "Vegeta doesn't really do angry. I've seen him mad all of twice, and it was for pretty good reason. I doubt he's going to yell at you for going out to help us. And I doubt the doctor will either." Of all the things that had happened to them today being yelled at was the least of their concerns. Same could be said for Yumi, albeit usually when she yelled there was also slapping involved. He wasn't in the mood for getting slapped right now, not that he ever really was anyways. "You want us to lie to the others for you...?" Takeshi asked, a hint of surprise in his tone, "Alright, if you want. Don't blame us though if they know otherwise." By them lying too he figured it meant himself lying, Shu wasn't the best at that. With any luck they could just slink off to one of the healing rooms without anyone seeing them, though the chances of that were pretty slim. Soon as they entered the main ship someone was bound to know they had arrived.

Their ship had at last come into view, now they could start getting ready to go get checked up. First things first though, they were going to have to get inside. Thankfully it didn't require getting out and pressing the console like before, the shuttle had been fitted with a radio to hail the crew inside. Pressing a single button to let the others know they had arrived it only took but a moment for the hangar to be opened, nice to see the crew was prompt. Carefully leveling out their shuttle, Takeshi guided the smaller craft right on inside, landing it as close to the door as he could get. Feeling the legs touch down and the slight jostle of the landing he let go of the controls, sighing happily as he shut down the engines. "Jeez... Never thought I'd be so happy to get back to this ship..." he mumbled, pushing himself up out of his chair. "We should get to one of the tank rooms first, get all patched up. I guess we can leave our things here for now?" Or someone else could come get the crate, at this point Takeshi didn't particularly care. Using the wall for support he stepped into the back of the ship, looking between Shu and T'charrl. "Uh... Anyone need a hand walking?"

Shu didn’t see it as necessary to blame someone for somebody else getting hurt when there was no true way to stop that, leaving him feeling confused as to where the logic in that lay. He was certain he could stop himself from getting hurt if it meant Takeshi was going to take the blame all the time; he wasn’t weak or that vulnerable. He didn’t want to get mad at Yumi for it, she was only worried about him, but it still didn’t make much sense to get angry over something like that. He felt weak for not being regarded as being able to take care of himself, even if he has lived with someone for most of his life. Scratching his head in quick rustles, he looked to Takeshi before letting out a sigh, “I wish she would hang out with us again, but then your friend wouldn’t be happy…but then he would be because he would be with his brother…but then Yumi might not be because she must like him a lot to want to stay with him”, he spoke, trying to think through the situation as he talked on, “I still don’t get why they did that…I mean, we were fine before, right?”

Even if people weren’t going to be angry and shouting at him, T’charrl still felt that they would be visually disappointed. Being disappointed was even worse than being angry because anger was often a result of worry and being glad that they were okay; however, being disappointed meant you screwed up and it was your fault. Either way was tough to take and the quiet anger or disappointment was the worst. Looking to Takeshi, his antennae twitch a little before he shook his head, “Could do…possible to…” he mumbled, not feeling sure about lying himself, “It hurts…but better than…umm…” Looking outside the ship he gave a little point to the window, slowly lowering his head and looking away. It was pretty shameful to say he was defeated by the weather and fell off that building as a result of being shredded by sand and if Takeshi knew anything about weight it really did hurt a lot more to fall.

Finally arriving back at the ship felt like a great moment of relief for Shu and T’charrl, typically because one wanted to sleep and the other was so sore that he may as well hibernate for a few days. Feeling that moment of relief was pretty great, but now they had to get off the ship and avoid too much hassle from the others. Looking to Takeshi as he made out the plans, T’charrl looked down at himself before deciding to slowly try and stand, getting on his large secondary set of claws which was good enough for him. Giving his head a shake, he eventually moved along after him, looking down at Shu who also began to move. They both seemed fine to walk, but they were weak as well and both wanted to avoid any worried gazes or angry ones depending on their circumstances.

"I don't know... I don't have any idea how all that love crap works," Takeshi replied, shrugging to himself. Shu made a fair point, at least he thought so, but obviously Choi and Yumi felt differently. Maybe it was just because it was a new thing for them, they might get bored or something and not spend as much time together. The two brothers had seen first hand how lonesome Kai was a result of his brother's relationship, goodness knows Kai would be glad to have his twin back. Sighing to himself, Takeshi glanced back at Shu, smiling slightly as he again shrugged. "I don't think it matters a whole ton what we want right now. They want to be with each other, so we've gotta let them. Besides... I guess it's better they're happy than upset, right? If we asked them to break up so we could spend time with Yumi or something they'd probably get upset." And that would be just plain selfish, no matter how you sliced it. The only one person who was really losing out here was Kai, everyone else had another person to spend time with. That and Kabocha, who spent most of his time it seemed helping out on the ship or with his parents. They should try hanging out, if they could stomach one another, that was.

It was a huge relief to be back at the ship, at last they could relax. The cargo inside the shuttle could wait for later, right now they had more important things to do. All three of them needed to get some kind of medical attention, preferably from the healing tanks, and without anyone knowing. After that their little team ought to be more than ready to head to the next planet, with any luck. Takeshi could certainly walk there, but whether Shu or T'charrl could as well remained to be seen. Especially T'charrl, he'd been awfully beaten up even before showing up to that fight, he had it the worst of the three of them. Opting to offer a helping hand, glad to see both his brother and friend managed to get up on their own accord. It would be slow moving, but they could definitely get to the healing rooms. Smiling tiredly the older Saiyan kept right behind the other two, ready to help either one if they needed it. Silently he was grateful they didn't, his own body hurt a bit and having to support someone else right now would be a real pain, literally. Miraculously they managed to reach one of the healing chambers undisturbed, and after disrobing they each took turns climbing inside one of the tanks, letting the machines patch them up. It didn't take long at all, and pretty soon they were all good as new. Still sore, but at least any serious wounds had been seen to.

Departure from Shaharia had happened a few hours after the trio's return, everyone was more than ready to get a move on. The goods from Servas and his men were stored away in the cargo hold, tucked away with all the other excess supplies. Takeshi still wasn't overly fond with the outcome of their first expedition, it had basically been completely pointless. Though he supposed they had done some good, at the very least they should appreciate that fact. And, if nothing else, they'd gotten a bit stronger from it. Being beaten up like that was handy to Saiyans like them, and T'charrl probably got a little bit stronger himself too. Not much, the improvement was marginal at best, but they all had benefited in some way. Yeah, so the mission wasn't a complete bust. For the rebels kind of, but not so much for them. With any luck they'd fare better on Pagonia, those people were probably just itching to pick a bone with the Saiyans. They were strong too, certainly stronger than the Shaharians were. If they were to only get one of these aliens to agree to Korian's idea then the Narbu would be the group they'd want.

Considering their fortune on Shaharia it was a safe bet that they might not be getting the warmest welcome on Pagonia. Granted they hadn't exactly done wrong by the Narbu, but they hadn't exactly helped them either. Worst case scenario they could try to use the whole saving them from the Saiyans card, but that hadn't only been them. Maybe they wouldn't have to play that, it would be nice just to have a simple yes or no and be on their way for a change. The chances of that happening were pretty slim, hence the preparation. With the time allowed to them due to traveling, everyone who might be going to the planet was getting themselves all set. For Takeshi, that meant finally enrolling in some swordplay lessons. Viral had agreed to help him with training after all, as he had Shu with his staff. Reasonably enough however their training would be separate, which made sense. A sword against a metal stick wasn't exactly going to work too well, plus the fighting styles were different. At least that's what he remembered Viral saying on the subject, or the gist of it anyways.

As metal collided with metal Takeshi gritted his teeth, trying to push past Viral's block and get a strike in. They had been sparring for a little while now, and while he was slowly picking up things he was far from efficient with a blade. He was positive the Beastman was still taking it easy on him too, the guy was still using one arm to fight with. Watching as sparks shot off from the blades grinding against one another, Takeshi pulled his sword back, stepping away a bit with it held at the ready in both hands. So... This was a bit harder than he'd thought, but it was fun too. It was different than actually attacking people with the weapon like he'd done on Shaharia, that he hadn't been much a fan of. Doing this though, trading blows and practicing, this was fun. "Heh... You know... You could let me get in a sympathy hit? Make it seem like I'm improving," he joked, breathing deeply from the rigor of training. "How are you not tired yet?"

With everyone else busy with their little preparations for their next mission or simply slacking off if they didn’t need to go, there was some free time leftover and with Vegeta going off to get the ship prepared Viral had quite a bit of spare time. He didn’t want to stop training, he didn’t feel like he could afford to do such a thing while everybody else advanced because they had training partners or because they were Saiyans. He didn’t have the ability to get stronger after every battle, he had to work for his strength and that fact made him pretty angry at himself; however, there wasn’t much he could do about that and just had to take it as it came while hoping he was going to be able to keep up. It was such a pain, though. With Takeshi willing to train in swordplay it gave him something to do, but Takeshi was still new to this whole thing and his defiance had cost him some dignity during battle from what he was told. Being afraid of slicing into opponents was a stupid thing to have when your weapon was a sword; it might as well be a stick if that was the case.

With there still being time before they got to Pagonia, now was a good chance to get in some lessons like he had reluctantly agreed. There was some desire to get Takeshi more acquainted with the blade, seeing it go to waste like that was pretty disgusting; however, he certainly seemed a lot more willing this time and was actually willing and ready to go in and try to get better at using it. There was still time to get the basic moves down, but Takeshi’s ability to do so was pretty limited as he seemed to struggle with completing simple moves. Viral was patient to a degree, but all this pretending to be terrible at it was getting on his nerves a little when he wanted to improve himself, not remain limited because his pupil wasn’t getting it.

Keeping a strong hold of his block, Viral stared at Takeshi as he struggled once again to figure out how to get passed it. He shouldn’t have too much trouble getting passed a much shorter blade, but he seemingly managed to find some as he continued to make simple mistakes. Watching him carefully, he shifted his blade slightly with each strike up until Takeshi moved back again in preparation of yet another tactic. Watching him carefully he kept his blade steady, his other arm tight behind his back until Takeshi decided to speak again, his gaze narrowing slightly before he shook his head, “Hmm sure, let me just allow you to slice into my arm”, he spoke, moving his free hand around as his eyes moved to his blade, running his claw down it carefully as if checking for dents, “Do you get tired from walking? It is very similar. It’s natural for me to use my blade…besides, you can’t hit someone hoping they’ll get tired of you doing it only to let you strike them! That would be moronic…why? Are you wanting to quit already?”

Takeshi knew there was going to be a bit of an uphill battle learning the sword. After all, he was competing with a master swordsman, that in of itself was a daunting obstacle. Time and time again Viral had told him it wasn't a contest, they needed to take their time to properly learn the techniques of swordplay. Everything with Takeshi was a contest though in one way or another, it helped him to work harder. He didn't even bother trying to explain that to the Beastman though, figuring he was only talking to a brick wall if he did so. Instead they continued as they were, trading blows while he was trying to learn some basics of striking. For basics they were tricky, he'd admit that. Who would have thought so much went into swordplay? This was certainly a different experience, being so far behind someone else but trying to keep up with them. It was kind of infuriating too, he couldn't match up to Viral despite trying his damnedest. Even with the Beastman only using one arm he wasn't getting anywhere, it felt like he was slamming his blade into a stone repeatedly, it just wouldn't budge.

After locking blades with Viral for a few seconds Takeshi finally relented, stepping back and sighing softly. He was going nowhere fast with this, perhaps a bit too impatient for these lessons. It was entertaining he supposed, as sparring often was for him, but when he was supposed to get something out of this it was going drearily slow. Taking a look at his own blade as Viral did he inspected it for any damage, his untrained eye not able to pick up any discrepancies. Making a face at Viral, Takeshi shook his head, pointing at the Beastman annoyed. "That's not what I meant! Sheesh, I just figured I'd have learned something by now, that's all. Instead all I'm doing is making myself look like an idiot." All it felt like he was doing was swinging his sword around and not getting anywhere, it was a bit off putting. Viral had a fair point about people getting tired, and it only served to further make him feel like a dolt. Asked then if he was getting tired Takeshi's face reddened in embarrassment, shaking his head quickly, "Of course not! It takes a lot more than this to tire me out! Just... Ugh, tell me what I'm doing wrong already. I can't get better if I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I don't get what you mean by it should feel natural, that doesn't make any sense to me."

Takeshi wasn't the only person being trained at the moment on the ship; Shu was gradually working on controlling his emotions. That was the intent at least, the instruction had only just begun and they hadn't exactly done much yet. Yumi still wasn't very clear as to why she had been asked to do this, but Vegeta had said she was the best person for the job. She'd do it, she was happy to help Shu if need be, she just wasn't quite sure how she'd go about it. Currently the pair were sitting around in the library, seeing as it was one of the more quiet places in the ship. That, and Yumi sort of figured she'd cheat and see if she could find some books on how to help Shu out. Evidently the Saiyans didn't keep a whole lot on emotional counseling, not from what she'd checked anyways. "Alright Shu, I guess we'll start by you telling me how you feel when you change," Yumi began, smiling politely. Adjusting herself in the cushioned chair she folded one leg over the other, placing her hands in her lap, trying to come across as all professional. "So, um... Yeah, let's start there! You must notice something when you're changing, some kind of emotions. What are they? Angry? Sad?"

Takeshi needed practice, a lot of it. He was certainly trying, but even if he did try really hard he wasn’t going to get anywhere just by swinging it around like he was just now. He lacked technique, his own individual style and that was what was truly important in swordplay. Not looking at Takeshi as he spoke up in his own annoying whiny voice, he sighed as he moved his blade around slowly before moving his arm back around again and looked to Takeshi, “Of course you are! Did you not look stupid when you first tried to fight?” he sighed, feeling pretty fed-up with his whining. Lifting his blade again he instead faced Takeshi, “You know what you’re doing? You’re just throwing your blade at me. Just swinging it around awkwardly with great predictability! Have you ever thought of creating your own style instead of copying what you see from others? Gently move your blade…become one with it!”

It was pretty annoying having to tell Takeshi all this when he had done so before, especially when he was complaining as if he was never told. He still swung it around like it was a piece of metal and if he wasn’t careful he was going to end up killed. Simple soldiers should never be able to get through an expert swordman’s technique and Takeshi just had to learn that the hard way. Readying himself, he shifted his feet as he steadied his blade, staring at Takeshi straight in the eyes, “I’ll show you: I won’t look at your blade and show just how predictable your movement is by following them. Just try to prove me wrong”. That should be incentive enough for Takeshi to try and switch up his technique, especially when he was so full of pride as well. Keeping his other arm behind his back he steadied himself, watching him calmly.

Shu had never been put on the spot like this before, even if it was just Yumi; of course, the big difference was it felt like a confrontation instead, his mind finding it a little difficult to become fully relaxed. He knew why he was there and that didn’t change anything naturally, but he was willing to try and focus when it was important for him to learn just how to control what he was without threatening to kill someone because he couldn’t control himself. Staring at Yumi, he smiled nervously as he sat with his feet on the chair, his toes holding onto the edge of it as Yumi spoke to him, “U-Umm…how I feel…?” he repeated, fiddling with his fingers, “I guess I feel angry…or sad, or both. I don’t know which one, but I feel sad sometimes and nothing happens but sometimes things happen…but aren’t I supposed to feel these and not change? I don’t feel angry much…but when I do, it’s bad…”

Despite it probably being the truth Takeshi still looked indignant, giving Viral an annoyed look. "I... I don't know if I looked stupid, I didn't watch myself!" T'charrl and Shu hadn't said a word on his swordplay during the fight, probably for the exact reason that people normally didn't critique him. Sometimes he took it well, but more often than not Takeshi became defensive and bothered by it. Sighing in an attempt to settle himself down, the Saiyan looked over at his friend again, giving him a confused look. "My own style...? What do you mean by that...?" That didn't make a whole ton of sense either, not until Viral elaborated. Eh, sure he'd thought about it, but it wasn't so easy. He barely knew how to wield the sword to begin with, let alone make his own style. That was exactly why he was mimicking other people, it was all he knew right now. "Become one with my blade... Yeah, you keep saying that. It's not as easy as you make it sound, you know. And it's not because I'm not giving it a shot, I'm trying like hell to figure this out."

Being called predictable ruffled Takeshi's feathers a bit, he hated being underestimated. He knew he was just learning, but damn it Viral didn't have to put him down like that. Gritting his teeth the Saiyan readied his own sword again, meeting the Beastman's gaze as he smiled tightly. "I'll prove you wrong, I don't care how long it takes. I can get this down, just you watch." So he had to try and use his own style, that was it right? Hm... So maybe if he tried something new he could get through to Viral, show him he wasn't just some lost cause. Shuffling his feet slowly Takeshi began to move to the right, his eyes never leaving Viral's. When he was roughly to the direct left of his friend he moved in, his sword held up like he was going for a high cut. With it raised up he quickly released the handle, letting it drop before snatching it up again. What had started as a high slice was now a horizontal cut, with him holding the sword now backwards so the blade stuck out to the side. He'd like to see Viral block that so easily.

Yumi felt so awkward questioning Shu like this. Vegeta had given her explicit instructions to ask about feelings, to find out what went through his mind when he changed. Sure, that might work for a trained professional, though she was anything but. Nonetheless she was doing her utmost to look the part, stiffly sitting in a proper position and asking as formally as she could. Shu might notice her eyebrow twitching in irritation, not from him of course, but due to this absurd layout they were following. It felt so impersonal, no way could it work. Shu didn't look fond of it either, being much more meek with her than he normally was. "Angry and sad...? Well... Maybe it's when you're really angry, or really sad, that makes you change?" That was the pattern she had noticed in their time together at least. Often times when Shu felt threatened, or someone close to him was hurt he would transform. It wasn't completely unlike Takeshi, only he didn't have the means to change anymore. Both brothers could get righteously angry then, and the outcomes for both were pretty unsettling.

"This whole thing is so stupid..." Yumi mumbled, sighing under her breath. Realizing she might offend Shu she looked back at him, smiling worriedly as she put her hands up, "Not what we're doing, just... The way we're doing it. Here, hang on a second." They were friends darn it, not some therapist and client. If they had to get a bit closer to figure this out then fine, they'd do it. Objectivity, or whatever the hell Vegeta had called it, that could go out the window. Lifting up her own chair she carried it across, setting it down beside Shu's. Sitting down again she smiled at him sweetly this time, placing a hand on his head and giving his hair a stroke. "We can figure this out Shu, and I'll help you do it. Don't be so nervous, it's only me," Yumi said, moving her hand and lightly tapping the young boy's nose playfully. "What does it feel like? When you change that is, do you know what's going on?"

Viral wasn’t going to be gentle to Takeshi or make him feel comfortable with his abilities, especially when he wasn’t exactly improving as fast as he should. He was making so many mistakes when he should be trying to learn from them, but of course this was Takeshi he was training and not a rookie willing to learn. The guy seemed to be copying methods that were most commonly performed by regular people, ones he could easily copy off the television and think they were proper techniques. A little annoyed at Takeshi’s inability to process that, he sighed in annoyance, “A style you create! Not one somebody else uses”, he spoke calmly, keeping his eyes on him, “Using a style you’ve copied from another warrior makes you predictable…especially when they’re used for show”.

Viral didn’t see the problem with trying to invent a style during the lessons, especially when he was supposed to be improving and that was the way to go about getting better. Watching him carefully, he frowned a little before grumbling, “You want me to be at this for eternity if you think that” Watching him, he couldn’t help but feel a little odd when Takeshi decided to stare right into his eyes as well, not sure if it was annoyance that he was trying to copy him or something else entirely. Dismissing it he instead focused back on Takeshi, he kept his gaze concentrated on him as he soon decided to attack. Swinging his own blade to counter Takeshi’s attack, dropping his blade was not entirely expected and instead he immediately swung his sword around and expected to inflict an attack. Something about Takeshi’s move sparked something in Viral’s mind, his mind going blank for a moment until Takeshi’s hit struck him. His eyes suddenly becoming focused again and intense as he sprung back into life, but instead of reacting as he should have to a successful hit during training he suddenly bolted forward, his blade going straight to Takeshi’s neck with barely a few centimetres difference between them. Remaining fairly close to Takeshi for a few seconds, Viral seemed to double-take his action and backed off, his eyes going to his blade instead.

Yumi certainly seemed pretty intense with her way of speaking, at least that’s what Shu saw as he stared at her. He was considerably worried that it might lead to her telling him that there was something wrong with him, like he had some fault. Frowning at her reactions, Shu raised his shoulders slightly as hands moved up to his knees, “U-Umm, maybe…? Maybe both at the same time…?” he squeaked a little, feeling unsure about it himself. There were plenty of reasons he wasn’t able to give a direct response, especially considering he was not able to think clearly when he was changing. He was stuck for a correct answer and only Yumi could help him try and find that just now, especially when everybody was busy with their own problems. He wondered if Yumi was getting annoyed at the fact she needed to deal with him and not be with her friend Choi, “I-It’s sometimes hard to think clearly…”

Frowning a little when Yumi mumbled in annoyance, he lowered his gaze and let out a sigh before looking back to her when she tried to apologise. This was definitely not working out very well and Yumi saying that made him realise it too. Still feeling a little uneasy, as Yumi moved over to sit beside him he stared up at her, his head tilting slightly before Yumi started to pet his head. It was helping a little to do that, giving her a smile in return before lowering his head again when she tapped his nose, “I know I shouldn’t, I don’t mean to…” he sighed, pressing his fingers together, “It feels like…pressure…like pain…like a lot of anger. My heart hurts a lot, it’s hard to think too a-and it just feels…really scary…”

Creating his own style, feh, how in the world was he supposed to do that? So many people had used swords before him there wasn't a chance in hell he could do something unique. It wasn't as if he was copying by choice, there was just nothing new for him. Even Viral had to have picked up some of his techniques from someone, no way everything he did was original. "Easier said than done, you know. I hardly know how to use a sword, how the hell am I going to know how to make up a style then? If you've got something in mind believe me, I'm all ears." Okay, so maybe he was a bit showy in his moves, but that's just how he figured he'd do things. It should be flashy, it was more fun that way, and cool. Maybe swordplay shouldn't be either of those, perhaps he wasn't focusing on the more important things. Man, why couldn't this just be straightforward? Trying to put together a unique fighting style on the fly was such a hassle, especially when you didn't even know where to begin.

"We won't be at this for an eternity, don't worry," Takeshi replied, smirking as he raised his sword again. Okay, now was the perfect time to show Viral up, he could try something entirely new. It would literally be on the fly, there would be no way the Beastman could know what he was planning. Meeting his friend's stare he waited a moment, trying to pick the perfect opportunity to move in and strike. Soon as Viral blinked he stepped forward, closing the distance and raising the sword in a false overhead slice. Before he swung down he dropped the sword, catching the handle as it flipped and holding the weapon now with the blade facing out, coming in for a horizontal cut instead. The first attack was slated to be blocked, as was the second. Yet for some peculiar reason Takeshi nearly managed to stab Viral, stopping himself just shy in surprise. "Holy crap... It actually worked..." he mumbled, staring wide eyed at where his blade sat, mere centimeters from Viral's flesh. In a flash then the Beastman retaliated, doing so in a far more aggressive manner than Takeshi had expected. Close as they were he couldn't do anything as the blade shot up for his throat, tensing and squeezing his eyes closed nervously. When no bite of metal came he opened one eye, looking down at the cleaver just hovering over his skin. Swallowing uneasily he watched as Viral backed off, lowering his own sword in a now clammy hand. A bit of sweat had formed on his face from that close shave, and with a tense smile he lifted an arm, wiping his face off on his sleeve. "Uh... How was I supposed to block that...? Did I mess up?"

Asking in such a straightforward, rigid manner wasn't getting them anywhere. Shu was getting upset and Yumi was becoming frustrated, it was best they change pace. They were awfully close, so trying to go with Vegeta's idea of objectivity was kind of stupid, she had come to realize. Instead of trying to talk to the little Saiyan as a doctor, which she wasn't, she should approach this as a friend. Moving her chair then over beside Shu's she took a seat, reaching out and patting his head gently. "There's no reason to be so nervous, I'm your friend silly," she said gently, offering a kind smile. Again she tried to ask him about the feelings, only this time in a more gentle manner. What she was told certainly was different than before, and it had her a bit worried. Little did she know she had exhibited the very same sort of thing back with Viral, only she had no recollection of that. So as it stood she wasn't quite certain what to do or say, only knowing that she had to somehow try to help.

"Maybe we need to find a way to help with you getting angry? I mean... If it's anger that makes you change, helping your anger will make it stop, probably." You didn't need some fancy degree to figure that much out. The only issue they had then was how exactly they'd solve the problem. Anger management wasn't her forte, goodness knows she could snap on occasion. Never to the degree that Shu or Takeshi did, but she had her moments. A lot of that she blamed jokingly on being surrounded by testosterone, some of it must be influencing her. Or things just annoyed her, that was more likely. Drawing her hands back and rubbing at her chin thoughtfully Yumi glanced around the room, lost in her own thoughts for a moment. Something to help with anger management... "If getting angry makes you change... What if you think about things that cheer you up?" she offered, looking at Shu, "You know... Like fruit. Or playing with Takeshi, or one of us. Or... Playing in the jungle. Maybe if you can get your mind off of why you're angry in the first place you won't change?"

Viral didn’t know what happened there and was well aware that he was supposed to not do such a thing, but he felt like he couldn’t help himself. Eyeing his blade, he sighed lightly as he slowly raised his paw to his head, giving it a slow rub. His head was suddenly burning, the intense pain throwing off his concentration big-time. Refusing to show any sort of pain, his eyes soon turned to Takeshi as he noticed his own struggle to comprehend coming that close to death. As the pain slowly started to vanish, he let out a sigh and gave his hand a check before looking away, “…Hmph, you weren’t supposed to. Your technique was fine, but high risk”, he spoke, shaking his head lightly before moving away from Takeshi, sheathing his blade, “Do you want to take a break or do you want to keep going, because I can go either way right now”. Truth was he didn’t know what to do, but he should probably have a break himself. While the pain in his head had gone he was still feeling off, but he was still willing to fight if Takeshi was so set on doing so.

Shu didn’t mean to be nervous, but it was a touchy subject and he was worried something bad might happen. If he got too nervous maybe that might set him off as well; he could never feel too sure, especially when he was put on the spot like this and essentially putting Yumi in danger. Letting out a sigh, he gave a little nod and a smile, “I’m trying not to be nervous, I just don’t like to talk about it”, he spoke, lowering his head, “I just don’t like it so it’s hard to talk about it…” If he could be brave for just this one chat then he could manage anything, but the biggest issue he had was he didn’t know what he was supposed to do with this session or how to make him better; he didn’t even know why it happened to him either.

With a little frown, Shu stared at Yumi as she spoke before speaking up himself, “But don’t normal people get angry and nothing happens to them? I’m confused”, he sighed, shaking his head. If his problem was anger then it wasn’t supposed to be a big problem in the first place. He didn’t understand it when he rarely felt anger, but when he did he went bananas. He was almost scared to feel anger at this point, even if it was only natural to feel it. Watching Yumi carefully, he shifted in his seat before looking back down at his hands, pulling his fingers, “I try…but it’s too much. I can’t think of anything even though I can hear Takeshi speaking to me…for a little bit”, he muttered, trying to think to the last time he changed, “I forget who I am and who everyone is, then it gets hard to remember again…”

Never before had Takeshi so quickly gone from feeling prideful, to nearly soiling his pants. Having Viral suddenly hold his cleaver mere centimeters from his throat was definitely a bit unsettling, and he couldn't do a thing about it. The entire time the blade was held near him he didn't so much as breathe, nervous that the slightest movement might get him cut. When the Beastman finally pulled back and lowered his weapon the Saiyan smiled uneasily, one hand going up and rubbing his throat. "Eh... So was my technique okay...?" he asked, trying to play off what just happened. That was scary, why the hell did Viral have to go that far? Sheathing his blade after his friend did so, Takeshi shook his head, looking towards the door before back at Viral. "Uh... No, I think we can stop for now. I uh... Should probably go find Shu, see how his lessons are coming along and all that." And maybe go make sure he hadn't soiled himself. At least if he went to his brother there wasn't the threat of getting his throat slit, that would be nice. Letting out an uneasy chuckle Takeshi walked over to the door, opening it up and sending a curious look back in Viral's direction. "Hey... Uh... You feeling okay? You kinda seemed to zone out there for a second. Something wrong? Should I tell Vegeta?"

"I know you probably don't want to talk about it... But we need to. It's dangerous when you change, especially if you can't control yourself." There were plenty of reasons as to why that was, the least of which being Shu attacking his brother, on more than one occasion. And that was only what they were all familiar with, it may well have happened without their knowledge too. It wasn't just Takeshi in danger either, but all of them. Yumi certainly felt plenty of sympathy for Shu, he had been struggling with controlling his changes for a while now. "Look at everything else you've learned with us though. You know how to fly, how to use Ki. You've learned about all sorts of things. You don't know it, but you're really smart Shu. So if anyone can figure out how to control a change like that, it's you." Yumi just wanted to help the little Saiyan build some self esteem, he didn't come across as very confident in himself at all. Given his recent history she supposed there was reason for that, meaning they had a lot to undo before he could be helped.

Answering Shu's questions wasn't very easy, if only because Yumi knew she didn't have the right answers. She could offer her thoughts and advice, but nothing solid. "Most people aren't Saiyans though... They can't change like you can. And most Saiyans can control their power from what I've seen," she explained, smiling as she leaned over and placed an arm around the boy's shoulders. "But that doesn't mean you're worse than them. They were taught how to do all that I bet, you weren't. If we can teach you then you'll be in the same boat as the others." There had to be a way to calm Shu down, he always showed clear signs of changing whenever his power started to go rampant. The issue of changing him back while in that form wasn't as pressing, Yumi had managed to bring him back from that before, as had Takeshi. They couldn't both be around to help him all the time though, and having to rely on someone else anyways wasn't the safest route. Shu had to figure out how to do it on his own accord, however that would happen. "We don't have to find the answer right away, we'll try things," Yumi reassured, pulling Shu slightly into a hug. "You know how to suppress your energy, right? Have you ever tried doing that when you're changing?"

Viral was certain he was just a little tired, especially when he had been going for maybe a whole day of training. Takeshi had been complaining that he was tired as well not too long ago and maybe he had learned something new, but that all depended on whether he was going to take it further than that next time. Looking to Takeshi quickly, he grumbled and waved a hand, “It was fine if you didn’t have to drop your weapon to do it! If you’re going to do that, you’re going to have to be faster than that…” It was a little annoying when he couldn’t really recall it happening, but he did recognise it was in fact an occurrence. He lost his focus when Takeshi decided to copy him, but how he managed to do that wasn’t a concern to him anymore and neither should it be to Takeshi. Folding his arms, he watched Takeshi go to leave before turning away, his eyes only glancing back when Takeshi raised some suspicions over his recent activity, “What? Nothing’s wrong! You want to tell Vegeta you nearly crapped then by all means, but if not then no. There’s nothing to talk to him about”.

Shu felt a little put on the spot with all of this, but in reality he was and needed to understand when something was a little wrong with him and to figure out how to fix it. He didn’t want to hurt anyone he knew and everyone was obviously afraid of that, even if Yumi did manage to calm him down and he didn’t hurt Takeshi this time round. He wondered if there was any way to rid him of the anger, to just be a happy kid forever. He still didn’t know what caused him to develop a change like that, but the closest thing he could think of was it was a result of him being in the wild for so long and that he was more monkey-like than the average Saiyan because of it. That had to be it, but they would’ve liked to change and be all destructive like that while he definitely didn’t. Nodding at Yumi, he soon instead tilted his head before shaking it, “Nooo I’m not smart! I’m just a little”, he said quickly, making a gesture with his fingers, “Takeshi is a lot smarter than me! He knows so many things…”

Shu couldn’t imagine himself being very smart, especially when he easily forgot a lot of the new stuff he learned. Thinking about some of the things he should really try and improve on, he looked back to Yumi and frowned at her response, looking to her arm before back again. He didn’t really know what she meant by that, but he would try and understand since it could mean the difference between having control or changing again. This whole being a Saiyan thing was pretty stressful; it was a lot easier when he thought he was a monkey, “The same boat? Is it safe…? Boat sounds like a safe word…” Getting side-tracked, he tried to find his way back to concentrating on this issue when it was the most important aspect of him to master, but Yumi’s questions managed to throw him off a bit, “Umm…sort of…but one time I got so scared suddenly that I changed quickly”, he spoke, scratching his cheek, “I don’t know how to try that and if I get really scared suddenly again and I change quick then I can’t try…I don’t really want to try either…”

Takeshi thought his little move there had been fairly clever, yet of course Viral found fault in it. Maybe dropping his weapon like that was a bit unnecessary, he'd figured doing that would throw a person off, but maybe not. Being faster, it was always an issue of speed for him. If he was as hyperactive as Shu was this wouldn't be such a challenge for him, he didn't have that speed his brother did. Well, now was probably a good time to take a break from training. He'd nearly shat himself and Viral seemed to be out of it, they could both use a break. Takeshi moved to leave the room, but not before double checking with the Beastman that things were alright. Something had seemed off, he knew he had seen it, but would Viral own up to it? Evidently not, he was as rough and dismissive as ever. Smiling exasperatedly the Saiyan sighed, nodding his head before rubbing at it a bit. "Alright... Well I'll keep quiet if nothing's wrong. But go see Vegeta if that happens again, okay? You kinda seemed to zone out, though maybe you're tired or something, I don't know." Shrugging his shoulders he turned around again, waving casually back at his friend, "See you later, Viral. And thanks for the lesson!" They would have to do this again, he really wanted to learn more now. Sure, it hadn't been anything major, but he liked to think a little progress had been made. It was only uphill from there.

Yumi rolled her eyes a bit, smiling before wagging a finger at Shu. "Takeshi is... Well he's average. He knows a little, sure, but I wouldn't say he's smart really. He's a lot like a... I don't know, an eight grader maybe? Or a freshman. In other words, he knows some things, but there's a lot he's missing." There was only so much one could teach themselves, especially with someone like Takeshi who she didn't see having all that much patience for learning. "There's things besides book smart too. Vegeta is really book smart, he knows a lot of information. But someone like you... You just pick up things quick. You're easy to train, you learned things that take people a long time to learn. Between the two of us, I think you're better at Ki stuff than Takeshi is, he just uses it more." Shu was certainly better than she was, of that she was convinced. He only just relearned most of it and yet he was as every bit capable as the rest of them were now, after knowing for so long. Who knows just how good at it he'd get after a while longer, there was no telling really.

"Boats can be pretty safe, yes. The same boat means you're both in the same position. Uh... That you're the same, I guess," Yumi said, trying to simplify things. Right, colloquialisms were still a little lost on Shu, probably best to try and avoid those. It wasn't really something that came up a ton, otherwise she might stop them there and go into it a bit. She had never instructed Shu before, but it wasn't something she'd mind doing too terribly much. Back on track, they had to figure out this transformation of his, or at the very least attempt to. By now Yumi was pulling at straws, having no idea what may work for the young Saiyan. "It's not that hard, but if you're afraid to try it then we can think of something else," she said, smiling kindly, "I guess the big thing is just finding a way to help with your anger. Of course, I've never changed like you, so I don't really know what that's like. But... Maybe asking Viral would be a good idea? He changes too, sometimes when he gets angry. Or... Have you asked Takeshi? He might have changed before, he could have a way to help it."

Vegeta was still locked in his room, as he had been for a few hours now. Before him was the compilation of both his and Sayomi's research on Viral. Every detail, from blood work to genetic mapping, observational writings and interviews even, it was all there. Obviously something was wrong, one didn't need all this data to see that. One only had to look at the Beastman to witness that, it wasn't difficult. What was challenging however was finding the reasons for why something was wrong, and pinpointing precisely what that issue was. Nothing that they had gathered suggested any obvious issues, no matter how much he poured over it all. Sighing softly Vegeta lowered his head, closing his eyes as he ran a hand through his peaked hair. The answer had to be in here somewhere, he just wasn't seeing it. Some tiny discrepancy, some hint, it just had to be here. Unless they somehow physically delved into Viral's mind they couldn't get any more information, what he had held the key... Somewhere.

Viral didn’t think much of it and was more concerned with everything else he had to do in preparation for battling the Saiyans over whether he was doing something wrong; besides, it wasn’t as if he had killed Takeshi with that little stunt. He was feeling okay already, the pain in his head had already vanished and he was left feeling himself again. He was just stressed out, is all, especially considering where the pain was and how he reacted. Looking elsewhere, Viral grumbled and shook his head at the Vegeta suggestion, “I don’t see why that is necessary! You’d think I was a machine malfunctioning!” He did get annoyed with the whole ‘something is wrong so Vegeta needs to know’ thing people had with him, as if they didn’t trust him without Vegeta’s consulting. Rubbing his forearms in annoyance, he sighed when Takeshi finally decided to leave, “If that is what you call a lesson…then sure…” He should probably get some rest before Vegeta finds out he was slacking off with some swordplay, seeing as how he was supposed to be working on his transformations and not doing something he was already good at.

Shu didn’t quite understand what she was saying, but if Takeshi wasn’t all that smart then he wasn’t exactly considered smart himself if he still considered below Takeshi’s intelligence. Scratching his head, he tried to think on what level he was at in terms of intelligence before he looked up at Yumi, smiling a little at her explanation, “So I’m smart in learning new things? That’s something, I suppose!” he nodded, feeling pretty happy about that aspect. Even if he wasn’t considered smart and didn’t know how the world worked completely, he still had that ability to pick up new things very quickly. He couldn’t see him as better than Takeshi at fighting or Ki, but he definitely was willing to try and get to his level of expertise and maybe even get better than him, “I still have trouble with stuff, but maybe I can get better somehow…I don’t want to have to be saved all the time…”

Shu slowly nodded at Yumi’s explanation, finding it a little confusing but still making an effort to understand it. It didn’t really help him all that much to be told those things since his problem was to do with anger and other things to do with emotions. He couldn’t just switch off his emotions and Yumi knew that, but of course that was not going to be an option anyway. Staring at Yumi, he lowered his head a little, “Mister Viral? I don’t know…his is different with energy and stuff”, he spoke calmly, thinking about it, “Maybe Takeshi knows…I mean, he’s a Saiyan too! But then again he said before it wasn’t normal…and he’s not very good at anger too. I’m scared about this…about how and why…”
