A quick note, I'm not ignoring this but I rather wait to hear others' thoughts on the matter. That way I know where everyone stands and can try to seek out a solution everyone will be alright with. Mostly before I say my view on the topic or suggest something for Essence. Mainly I rather not cause any drama if I can help it. Drama outside IC, for me as I can't speak for others, has never been fun and I had my fill in high school so understand I want to avoid this at all costs. I rather not chase off players after all and I'm sure no one else wants to either.

If we may speak honestly, the only reason I do not have much of an issue with the pacing is because I do feel like a bit of an outsider here. I'm in no rush to do anything because I'm not even sure what level of involvement my characters have on the plot, if any at all. The way I see it, if they died, nothing would change drastically. And I'm in no hurry to kill them off. How maybe if I had a more personal investment into the story and it's future I would also be interested in moving things along, but right now I'm more than comfortable just enjoying it's slow pace and the community. That being said you also have me in your other RP for when I do want to be more invested into the story, which I think is easier to do when you're there from the beginning.

Non-investment is what I want to avoid because it leads to apathy eventually.

If that is what you and others feel has to happen, then I won't judge you. My whole problem is I don't understand or know why this is an issue. I am a GM and a player so I can relate to both problems on each end better then most. This is the first time I've seen something this small cause so much conflict among others. In addition while I would wish I wasn't stuck and the rp was faster, I see no reason to push my speed on others or complain. I know it doesn't solve anything but I also know silence doesn't either. A GM can only do so much with what they do know and how many agree, even if it's just through pms. Unlike Lucius, I've put blood, sweat, tears and more then I really should since I first joined back in Tears. I literally agonized over OP concerns for upcoming ideas for Emmet, consulted Arena/outside players to balance abilities, thrown out plots or ideas, and spent days to weeks (Even over a month) hashing out Lore dealing with essence. On top of that seeking loopholes which didn't break the world and all the time keeping it hidden. I'll admit part of me is depress that this might not come to fruition or even happen at all like many of my stories if interest is lost, namely cause Emmet's arc doesn't just affect key players but everyone. Human, Angel, Demon and even Chimera will feel the consequences of a series of actions set into motion by one individual. However, while I might be heavily invested, I don't want to make a hasty statement just because I have story I want to play out. Even as I'm currently stuck with both Emmet and Olivia. It's not fair to others in my mind for me to suggest something without knowing the facts first. Namely because I can adjust it if needed when I know ahead of time what I have to work with. Not to mention key factors like player amount, RL issues, the fact most these posts are collab and other things. Not to forget one key fact: a story always takes much longer when you have more then one "author" writing the tale. Either way I'm not here to get caught up in politics which is what I fear this will turn into. Since you need an answer now, I'll deliver one: I've always thought a two week limit for a post was reasonable. It's enough time to usually finish most Collabs, unless it's a holiday, yet faster then the current pace right now. It's a compromising middle for both speeds. Those who don't post, at least without notifying of upcoming problems, are free game to be removed to the side and that would leave the current player to continue on. On a side note, I feel much better. I tried to state things clearly, passively and reasonable so my statements merely say my view. I rather not continue them as while I didn't state it, I can understand other views and in no way am trying to force it on others. With that said, I've said my suggestion which ends my role currently.

Okay Everyone. Had a little heart to heart with some people. Discussed some stuff and did a little brainstorming. My vote is we momentarily back burner the whole "Pace of the story" thing. After a discussion with Synth (whose insights I am blatantly ripping off) We have a communication problem that needs to be addressed. We are not all on the same page. By any stretch of the imagination. Now I know some of the members can't use or wont use skype. Don't worry im not here to tout its merits or something like that. We need to solve the problem not force feed someone a solution. Synth and I have decided that perhaps this might be a workable solution. http://www.chatzy.com/ its browser based chat so if you can get to the guild you should be able to use it. If there are legitimate objects. Please voice them, this needs to be a group effort, I can sit alone in a chat room all day and it aint gonna do much unless everyone is on board with it. I know I've been a bit of a stick in the mud about using something beyond skype but it aint working and I want to be part of the solution not the problem. I would appreciate people meeting me halfway on this one. Synth, Sam and Wind are on board with this (to my knowledge right now as im writing this post). i'll be dropping a copy of this in the Skype chat and I will be doing my best to be more present in the OOC personally. Batman aint a team player so I need to stop acting like him. So please, PM me if you have something more personal you want to say, post a response here, or if you have access to it I can be reached on skype. I'd even be willing to exchange email addresses. We can re address other issues when we can all have a fair say in things because we can all communicate effectively. On a side note, I believe that no one here should feel marginalized with their characters so if there is anything I can do personally to be more inclusive. Please. Let me know.

I would but I need to wait until Aeris registered her, since she's a minor and also Aeris' written off as next of kin, then I might see what classes she's assigned. I hope Olivia will have classes with all the teachers at some point but that might take a while. XD Also, what type of classes will these be like just out of curiosity? Trying, Hawk, but currently she's not even registered as no one save Aeris knows she's there. :/ I've not heard back from Cel so I've no idea if the passive approach worked or if I need a more aggressive approach, including Olivia arguing and getting louder to be let out, maybe waking Aeris up or giving Olivia a nightmare causing her to coming awake screaming. I have many different ways to wake Olivia and do this scene but I need to know what helped or not. Also, how's your collab coming for Emmet's plot Slade and Lucius?
