The swaying of the large ship had finally stopped, the newer crew that had joined lacked stamina and were practically scratching and kicking each other to get off the ship. Smee had mumbled for the crew to calm down, until the doors of the Captain's cabin opened, and Hook stepped out to make way onto the docks. "Gentleman," He glanced to a member with bulging yellow eyes and was taken aback, but easily regained his focus, "or lack their of, We are only in port for a few days, once I am finished with my affairs, we will return to sea on other business, savvy?" He scanned the crew, all of them mindlessly nodding, and continued "Very well then. Let us be off."

The crew watched as Hook glided in front of them, taking first step onto land after months of sailing to this location. They were all dying for a drink, but out of all of them, Hook needed more than just a drink to satisfy his thirst. "Smee," he called, "I'll be at the local tavern gathering some entertainment, do what you will. Just don't embarrass me." Smee nodded nervously, and scurried into the crowd around the docks.

After a short walk through town, an invitation has found him, a young woman with long hair had pulled on his coat and kissed him without a word, he fumbled, but tried, in vain, to keep his composure. "'Ello love," he touched her cheek, "I'm not sure what I did to deserve that, but I'll gladly take more." She pulled him closer, "I'm a bar maid up the way, I'll gladly serve a drink and more." Her hand found his, guiding him away from the crowded streets and into a dark tavern. He didn't question the hospitality, as it was common place for a man who appeared so wealthy to be taken away by bar maids and other ladies of the evening. She sat him down and he felt the warmth of her thighs on his lap, his mouth and thoughts were preoccupied yet again by the young girl, whose name still hadn't been mentioned.

Her mouth traveled against his, tasting every part of him. Her breathing had become heavier, quickening as she kissed down his neck and into his collarbone, he pulled her up, exasperated, "How about a breathing break?" he cleared his throat, "And a drink, please."

Emma had been in the forest. Like mother, like daughter. She was now an expert thief. After a long day, she headed to the tavern. She needed a cold drink, some rum sounded nice. She made her way there, taking the way through the forest. She had on a older dress, one that belonged to her mother before she met with her father, and a cozy brown cloak with intricate designs. She couldn't dress in his finest gowns, what kind of disguise would that be? She stared out the opening to the tavern. It was pretty busy tonight, she watched as a ship just boarded at the dock, and she smirked to herself when she saw who got off that ship- the famous Captain Hook.

Emma rolled her eyes, her blonde hair blowing with the breeze, when she saw the pretty young woman escorting the Captain in. Emma couldn't really blame her, though, he was good-looking. She made her way down the slope, careful not to trip over any loose roots or rocks. When she made it down safely to the bottom, she headed on into the tavern. There were drunken men everywhere, and she spotted a couple of them who looked wealthy, very wealthy. Three barmaids were running around frantically, trying to seduce and serve at the same time.

Emma ordered himself some rum and sat down at a table near the fire alone. She just loved this dress and how it made her chest look. A woman's chest was her best asset, she thought so anyways. Emma didn't like showing off her body, but what could she say? Like mother, like daughter. She was as stubborn as her, as well. She let herself get lost in thought as she sipped on her rum, staring into the fireplace. She wasn't proud of what she was doing, but Regina would win, the Evil Queen wouldn't stop until she had her revenge on Snow. She tried to get Charming, Emma's father, but no luck there. Emma knew she'd come after her. Her parents called Emma, "the product of true love", and supposedly she was the only one who could defeat Regina, but how? She was just a normal princess. She didn't have any special powers, so how could she defeat the most feared Queen in the Enchanted Forest?

That reason was why she left home. She couldn't put her parents in harms way like that. She had been gone only a week, and she missed them more and more everyday, but Emma had to keep reminding herself it was for the best. She couldn't let her parents get hurt, not if the Queen was after her.

A few drinks in, and Hook was feeling superior. The bar felt cozier and warm, and the desire to find a companion for the evening, at least for a little entertainment, stirred more bravery in him, at least, more than usual. His eyes flickered across the room, glancing over each table, eyeing the ladies and whom they may be with. Hope had lead him to believe he'd find him someone lonely and unoccupied, but he was never opposed to stealing a lady from under another lad's arm.

The tables seemed full to the brim with people, as the evening was at it's peak. Laughter, music, dancing, and the roar of conversation filled the room with nearly unbearable sound, and after such a long trip, Hook was starting to feel as if the bar scene maybe wasn't the best choice for his first evening ashore. He winced in response to a loud woman's cackling, and moved away from the area. The fireplace seemed to calm his unease, allowing him to down the last gulp of his pint.

His eyes dropped from his drink to a young woman who'd been sitting by her lonesome near the fireplace. He hadn't seen her before, but he was glad he had. His mouth formed into a confident smirk and he wandered over to her table, sitting next to her and placing his cup on the table.

"Someone looks rather lonely." He assumed, "The bar is a little rowdy for a kind looking lass as yourself." A barmaid wandered over, trying to overt his attention, he quickly put his hand up, he actually didn't desire for the distraction, "I'll have another, and I'd like one for her as well." The drink may have been an invitation for me, and he hoped she'd take it. He was growing tired of the evening, but he felt the need to stay.

Emma was so lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice a rather handsome gentleman joining her at the table she sat at. She turned from the fireplace to face him. "Not lonely, just thinking." She said, giving him a smile. She was thankful for the tattered dress she wore and the brown cloak, otherwise people would recognize her as the princess. She knew by now her parents had to have been searching for her, and they had to have posters up of Emma's face, but that was a good thing. The Evil Queen would see and she'd leave her parents alone, and hopefully only come after her, and when she did, Emma would be prepared and ready to fight back.

She laughed when he mentioned the bar being rowdy. "I'm use to it, I grew up in a rowdy environment." She said, which was only half true. Being the daughter of the King and Queen was difficult. She hardly got to see her parents because they were always so busy handling with villager complaints and other royal stuff they had to do. She smiled when he got her a drink. "Well, thank you, but you didn't have too." She said, her eyes burning into his. She noticed one hand missing, replace with a hook. "What happened?" She asked, directing her eyes to the hook.

The barmaid brought them their drinks. Emma have her a 'thank you' nod and took a sip. "I'm Em-, Laura." She said, not wanting to tell him her real name. If anyone found out who she was, she'd be brought back to the castle for sure. "I saw your ship- very nice." She said, sitting back in her chair. She crossed her legs, drink in one hand, the other resting on the table.

His eyes gleamed against the light of the fire, and shined against the smirk developing even more. Her soft skin nearly could glow in the light and the growing hum from earlier had seemed to cease, or at least he forgot to notice. Her laughter chimed against his ear drum, dancing into his mind. He felt happier by the sound, strangely, or maybe it was the drinks. He sipped, trying to convince himself, and get himself together, after all he was a pirate.

"My hook?" He glanced down at the shiny appendage, "That's a complicated, and rather long story." His eyes dropped while his mind wandered to when he had lost his hand, and lost Milah. A memory he surely didn't want to relive. The muscles tensed, from his arm to his shoulders, filling his entire body with tension. "No need to talk of things one wishes to forget." He gathered a fake smile, "Besides, why would a waste my time with a gorgeous lass as yourself?"

The bar roar had returned and the noise was nearly unbearable, he glanced over, "Since you like my ship, and I am sick of the noise," He smiled and leaned forward into her, "How about you join me and will talk more there?" He grasped her hand sweetly, inviting her with a simple touch, hoping she'd take his offer.

Emma smiled when he looked at the hook. "I've got nothing but time, Captain." She said sweetly. She nodded, understanding. "There are things I'd like to forget, too, but sometimes you can't." She said softly, her smiled fading as her turned to face the fire. The warmth felt great on her, considering how chilly it was outside. The smiled returned at his compliment. "Time was made to be wasted." She said slyly, glancing over at him. When he invited her to board his ship, she wanted to say no, but a completely different answer came out of her mouth when his hand touched hers.

She shivered inside at the touch, everything lighting up inside of her, she felt butterflies in her stomach. Looking down at his hand in hers, then back up at him, Emma nodded. "Um, okay." She said. She finished off her rum and stood up, placing her cloak back on her back and followed him outside. It was colder than earlier and she shivered, wrapping the brown cloak tighter around her.

They reached his ship and she noticed the name. "The Jolly Rodger? Where'd you get the name?" She asked, getting on the ship. They were the only two, so she assumed his crew was still inside drinking, probably trying to get a pretty girl to go back with them, or go somewhere with them.

The Jolly Roger swayed in the dock, towering over the smaller fisherman ships. It was dark, beautiful, and inviting. He smiled up at his vessel, taking in the greatness before he took her away. He looked back at her, "The name?" He asked, "I renamed it after my brother's passing. God rest his soul." For a moment, Killian's eyes went dark, but he quickly regained his resolve. "Let's get inside, where it's more comfortable." He tugged her hand gently, guiding her to shelter inside of his ship.

The walked onto the deck, quiet and unoccupied, they were completely alone. Once in the back room, he released her hand, rummaging through his desk and taking off his long coat. This was the first time in days he'd felt the weight of the world around him melt away from his shoulders and leave him feeling calm. He sighed into the darkness of his Captain's quarters. He turned back to the blond beauty in front of him, and his breath hitched, the moonlight gleamed from the window and onto her skin, porcelain and soft. He glided to her, taking his hook and playing with the lacing on her bodice. His eyes found her mouth and he felt transfixed.

"Now that i have you here," He began, "What would be of interests to you?" He leaned against his desk, "We are completely alone."

Emma nodded as he explained the name to her. "I'm sorry- about your brother." She said, letting her hand run over the fine wood work. "I'm an only child, so I can't really tell you how its feels, but I lost my parents... in a way, I guess." She said, her voice dropping at the mention of Snow and Charming. Shaking it off, she nodded when he suggested them move their conversation inside. She knew his intents, he was a pirate, which was why she was lucky to have run into him. Pirates were the best way to travel from somewhere you want to run away from him. She smiled when he took her hand and led her inside.

Emma watched him carefully as he removed his coat. He was fit, that's for sure, and a charmer, along with his good looks, he was a complete package. She stood by the porthole, moonlight streaming in, her eyes regarding him carefully. She felt her breath catch in her throat and was finding it difficult to concentrate when he closed the space between the two. His hook grazed her bare skin and she stared at him as shivers went through her body. "Why, Captain, if I tell you, we'd be here all night." She said, glad he went back to his desk.

"I'm looking for passage- away from him. There are.. people I'm trying to escape from, to keep them safe." She said, leaning against the desk beside him. "But I can't have anyone knowing... or they'd take me back." She said softly, looking down at the ground. She was contemplating telling him the truth, but was it really worth the risk?

"Passage?" Hook questioned her, his eyes darted away, curious and unsure at her motives, but why would she lie? She had no reasoning for it. "If you don't mind me asking, who is after you?" He eyed her curiously, turning to face her, his hook grazing against the desk. "As much as I am glad to take a beautiful lady such as yourself away from harm, I'd like to know who I'm up against and why, as it might mean life or death in the future."

He was genuine, he wanted to keep her safe. Though it always seems as if his intentions were bad, he knew in his heart that was how a pirate needed to appear to his public. Every other captain wanted to find his soft spot, his weakness. commanding the Jolly Roger meant appearing as though you were nearly inhuman, completely rid of emotion and feeling. Sadly, this wasn't a difficult task after the hardships he'd experienced in his lifetime, losing his brother broke something inside of him. and he knew he'd never be the same after such a loss.

"I'm honestly concerned," He reminded her, "I know we don't know each other, but something about you makes me want to be sure you aren't in some serious trouble." His eyes beamed against the moonlight, reflecting his vulnerability. "Also, I don't like to be soft like this, this isn't how things are done around here. So, keep in mind, I'm putting my reputation at risk, so honesty, between the two of us would make this a lot easier." He was right, in some sense, he believed. But the girl had to allow herself to believe he wasn't going to throw her overboard or force her to sleep with him.

Emma stared down at her feet and sighed. Should she tell him the truth? Slowly, she looked up at him, her face grim. "The king and queen... my parents." She said, quickly looking away. "My name isn't Laura, it's Emma..." She said quietly. She couldn't believe she just told a complete stranger, but she needed away and right now he was her only hope. She felt a pain in her chest when she told him she was running from her parents, she missed them terribly, but she had to. It was just too risky staying there. When he said he was concerned, she looked back up at him. Aren't pirates suppose to have zero feelings for others?

"I'm not in trouble.... welll.." She stopped and looked away. "Only in trouble with the Evil Queen... or Regina." She said and turned to face him. "It was nothing I did.. except for being born." Emma frowned. "She's after my mother, and to get to her she's going to get to me- apparently I'm the only one who can stop her, not sure how...." She said, sighing. "Don't worry- your good guy side is safe with me." She said, smiling at him. "Anyways- is that a yes or now?" She asked, batting her lashes at him as she stepped closer to him. "I'll return the favor." She said playfully.

Hook watched her, reading her as best as a pirate could. Somewhere in his heart, he felt like she was telling the truth. He scoffed, "Emma." He smiled slyly, "Much more fitting then Laura, i say." He glided around the table, sitting at his desk, he motioned for her to pull up a chair and sit before him. He opened a few drawers, drawing multiple things out, including a map. he began to work, brow furrowed in concentration.

"Your issue with Regina may be bigger than you realize, love." He reminded her, "She's queen of the entire kingdom, and it's a fairly large kingdom. I could take you with me, on my crew, but no one is going to believe a gorgeous woman like yourself has decided to dedicate herself to a life of piracy." He paused, an idea arrived precisely then, and he nearly turned red at the thought.

"However," He scoffed, "I may have a ludicrous idea that'll keep the crew from asking too many questions and keep your location safe." He looked her directly in the eye. "Will you marry me?"

"I know this may sound ridiculous, but a false marriage is a perfect disguise for why you are aboard. If the crew asks either of us, it'll most likely be me, and I can handle them easily." He rubbed the bridge of his nose, knowing his sympathy would get him nowhere, but knowing their was nothing he could do now. "So, what do you say, Emma?"

Emma blushed slightly when he complimented her name. "Thank you." She said softly. She sat down as he instructed and watched him work, her eyes on him. She looked up and bit her lower lip. "I know that- but it's just until I figure out what Rumple, a man I met in the forest, meant by saying I was the chosen one, the only one that can defeat dark magic." She said, shrugging. "He said he'd help train me... but, I don't must trust him." She said, shaking her head. She felt her breath catch, was he going to reject her? It sounded like it, and she was about to protest before he suggest he had an idea. She straightened up in her seat. "What is that?" She asked herself.

When he suggested for her to marry him, her eyes widened. Surely he wasn't serious? But when she referred to it as a false marriage, she closed her mouth, which she didn't realize was open. "A false marriage?" She asked, leaning in the chair she was occupying. It could work. She smiled and not being able to help herself, laughed. When she controlled her laughter, she wiped the tears from her eyes and nodded. "Well, Hook, I now pronounce us husband and wife." She said, leaning forward so their faces were just inches apart. "Time to kiss the bride." She said and leaned forward, planting a soft and gentle kiss on his mouth.

"I've got a ring, too..." She said and took out an exotic ring with a beautiful diamond in the center with crystals on the band. She placed it on the proper finger and held it up. "I think he can pull this off as stolen, don't you?" She asked, smiling his way.
