Name: Lucas Ursaine Nickname:Shadow Claw Gender: Male Age(Most people don't know they have the mutant gene until their teen years. However if you insist on being that one really young kid I won't mind): 16 Brief Personality:Lucas is quick to anger, but calms quickly. He always seems to have a smile when he is by himself or with other animals or animal like people. When Lucas is around the people he has dubbed "normal" he gets nervous and is clearly uncomfortable, but if the people give him honey or peanut butter his smile returns. (Although he still won't talk to them that much). Ability: Has bear features like his hands are bear paws and he has got the ears. And he has larger than normal canines. Limits to Ability: The only thing that limits Lucas in combat or in every day activities, is his fear of people. Much like a real animal Lucas is more afraid of people than people are afraid of him. Although when he was younger he had no fear.Though his fear stops him from begin social with other more normal people he seems to have an affinity to other animalistic people and normal animals. Age admitted into Riverwood: 6 (he just walked in.) Background: Lucas came from the woods.And no one really knows where he originally came from. He, when and if he does fight, fights with the ferocity and courage you would see if met a bear in battle. Much like bears Lucas enjoys the out doors in fact the only time you'll see him inside is when he is grabbing a peanut butter jar from the kitchens. Although Lucas has been at the Academy for years he is consider one of the "under dogs (or bears in his case)" on campus. Appearance: 5'6, Brown eyes, black hair and fur, wears gloves and a hat to cover his animal features, other than that wears cargo shorts and short sleeve t-shirts with pictures of bears on them. Other: Has really good senses, and loves honey and peanut butter. Also has a bad memory but can recognize voices and faces easily, but he probably won't remember names. Lucas also doesn't talk much to "normal" looking people, but becomes quite the talker to others like him. Also Lucas hates it when people try and take his food away from him, he has lashed out before seriously injuring someone who had attempted to take away his food.

Name: Pamela Nickname: Pam, Pammy Gender:Female Age:18 Brief personality:Pamela is a strange individual. But she is bright, and happy, and cares for others. She isn't particularly outgoing and at times, she can be shy. However, she will do anything for those she cares about. Abilities:a form of telepathy, Pamela's abilities lie in seeing people, but she cannot read people's minds however she does have what can be considered precognition. She sees images and things, and has a sense of people. Eventually though she figured that it was the energy of it, of everything. Around her that she was seeing, and that she could use that energy to effect....what was around her. Limitation to ability: it's not reliable, meaning she can't be sure what she is seeing is what she is seeing. She isn't capable of manipulating energy at the current time, and nor is that reliable. Throughout school she had some friends, and had a happy life. Until her parents died in a fire. Pamela saw that it was going to happen, but they didn't listen to her. She ran away. Name: Seraph Luminous Nickname: Self-titled 'King'. Gender: Male Age: 19 Brief Personality: The first of his personality is, obviously, his coolness. It seems as if Seraph never hesitates or falters, no matter the type of situation he gets himself into. His golden irises are almost always half-lidded and calm, and there seems to always be some sort of smirk of amusement or enjoyment on his face; even when he is facing disaster. He treats everything at his own pace, and he doesn't rush anything. He enjoys taking the pleasure of everything he can, and increasing it tenfold, so that the enjoyment lasts. It's like eating a treat; you allow it to melt in your mouth, and you smile as the taste dance over your tastebuds. This is life, to Seraph. Live or let live, is one of his many mottos. As for the second part of his personality? It is governed by one word; Arrogance. No, not the disgusting, obesity of cancer most nobles possess. It is a sort of measured, young arrogance that is seen as annoying by some, but it is also undeniably charming and 'cute' as well. It's seen in subtle shifts of his figure; His suave smirk, the way he addresses others, and even the way he seems to take others in fights. On the outside, he is calm, his arrogant, charming grin or smirk not shifting, even as he overwhelms and blasts the energy with all-encompassing power. It is also measured by his love of treasure, and how he naturally believes that he deserves whatever looks valuable; which, undeniably, ends with him blatantly stealing it and hoarding it somewhere. This also goes for women as well, as he sees them as 'eternal pieces of treasure, fit for a God'. He doesn't treat them as objects, as he has overwhelming respect for women, but he will flirt with just about any. Finally the last part of his personality; His unique sense of justice. Now, Seraph really isn't a justice freak. Thing is, he has morals, despite everyone thinking he doesn't. While on the outside, he is a calm, cool, and seemingly arrogant king with a love of women, treasure, and adventure, he will kill someone and, thusly, purify them if he sees them as irreversibly evil. This ends with him going out of his way, but sometimes, it's just necessary. However, as if to contradict this, he will mercilessly kill someone in cold blood if he feels as if they are trying to 'contain' or 'trap' him into doing something he doesn't want. Ability: Embodiment of Light; He is, in all intents and purposes, the King of Light. He can manipulate it, become it, and generally, he is it. Limits to Ability: Over-encompassing darkness can diminish his shine. Age admitted into Riverwood: 14 Background: Seraph's background is rather glamorous. Well...you see, Seraph originally grew up to be the son of a wealthy Lord of the Luminous Household and Kingdom - a Royal Family that goes back thousands of generations in the history of the world, located deep within the mountains of France. While originally, this would give someone a big head; especially when that person is the heir to the throne of such a prestigious household, but fortunately, this isn't what became of Seraph...well, mostly. The boy spent the first four years of his life in the garden of his home, being tutored by the Family's joint teacher, Mrs. Arabella Kiggs. The lady was old and strict, and any sort of disgusting arrogance the boy picked up from his large family was quickly stamped out of him. Why? Because writing mathematical equations until his hands fell off wasn't the ideal way of spending his free time. At least, Seraph thought so. He grew up intelligent, skilled - fencing and martial arts training was the norm for princes, and generally lavish. He has seen things, and done things, and has been with countless women in his life, even before the age of fifteen. When he started showing Light Manipulation at the age of 12, he was harbored in secret, growing and nurturing the power, before he moved to the academy at fourteen. Here, he has been known as one of the 'Big Dogs' at the school. Not because he bullies - as he hates bullies - but because he's helpful, cool, and sought after quite a bit. In the coldest nights and hottest days, She keeps the evil away She works in mysterious ways Name: Dolor Oublier Nickname: Doll Gender: Female Age: 20 Brief Personality: Dolor is a tough nut to crack. Her trust is hard to earn, despite this, she is terribly loyal to those she feels safe around. She's always strong minded and will stand by her beliefs, even if no one else will. She may be quiet at times, but she's more then willing to come up with an idea when things get rough. A team player when she feels like it. Ability: Human chemical; Able to change her body into different type of material and elements like steel, fire, straw, wax and water. Limits to Ability: Her body is able to control majority of elements like turning into liquid, bending into steel, small particles of dust and more. However, she can't control stronger elements like setting herself on fire or turning into porcelain, even gases like neurotoxins. Despite these being the most powerful, they're also the most deadly, and sometimes can cause harm to more then just herself. Age admitted into Riverwood: 14 Background: Dolor first started sensing her powers after her twelfth birthday, when she leaned over to her birthday cake and a small part of her hair brush the flame of her candles. The young girls hair was set ablaze, but she never noticed. After that, it was all downhill from there; accidentally washing her legs away in the bath, coughing up straw and even sneezing poisonous gasses. Her parents were able to help maintain her powers for years, but when Riverwood found her, they took her in before her powers had ever gotten truly out of control. Ever since then, she has been a student and test subject there. Obviously, she dreams of much grander things like traveling, feeling normal, maybe falling in love, but when she has fits more and more, it seems unlikely that either would happen. Name:Anshel Zenohoth Nickname: Black Gender: Male Age: 20 Brief Personality:Anshel is what you would call a mother figure to his underclassmen. Yes, that's exactly what I mean. He's overbearing, strict, and at times nagging, but really it's all for their sake. He enjoys cooking, cleaning, teaching, and sparring. He's close friends with Seraph and the two counterbalance each other in multiple ways, both in battle and in life at the academy. The mutant also is a major artistic person, being proficient at playing electric bass, as well as writing. He can often be found just noodling in his room with his white bass. On the other hand, Anshel is an extremely paranoid and anxious person. He can't stand being alone for too long, and will be the first to break a silence if one occurs. This also plays a part in his mother figure status. It causes him to be very overprotective of his "children" figures. This includes anyone who is younger than him, or even older people that haven't been attending for as long as he has. He'll openly attack people who he believes are putting others lives in jeopardy, make brash decisions to attack government officials if he thinks they have injured one of his friends, and even display his power in public to get others out of harms way. This is what makes him both dangerous to himself and to his opponents. Ability: Shadow Control - Anshel's ability to control shadows is unique in that they loose most of their required properties. He can mold three dimensional objects, or send them around as two dimensional entities. He can completely control their movement, but they can only move as fast as their size permits (bullet sized objects act like bullets, steel girders will be like throwing a steel girder, albeit somewhat easier due to his shadow manipulation). He can only use shadows that already exist however, as in, he can't generate his element. Limits to Ability: Anshel requires shadows to use his ability. Also as mentioned, he has limits to the speed and size of shadows he can easily control. Direct, focused light can dissipate the shadows as well. Age admitted into Riverwood: 16 Background:Anshel went a surprising amount of time without anyone noticing his mutation. It's in it's nature to be hard to notice anyways. Odd shaped shadows are the last thing a normal person would consider "magical." He herd about Riverwood from a friend of his, and they arrived together on their own terms. His friend passed away from untreated pneumonia after the trip however, and Anshel made it his goal to make sure he didn't loose anyone ever again. He soon befriended Seraph, and the two have acted as a team ever since. Anshel is considered a "big dog" on campus, but he's more of the person to turn to for friendly advice then the intimidating and powerful figure that his friend is. He refused to disclose his real name, and so people referred to him as "black" by the nature of his hair and powers. He has since adopted the name as his own alias, rarely ever explaining to people that his real name is Anshel. Appearance: See above Other: He likes kittens

"The eyes are the window to the soul." ~English Proverb Name Allison Gray Gender Female Age 18 Brief Personality Allison would like to be more friendly and open with people, however her power prevents her from connecting with people. Her habit of avoiding eye contact with everyone gives her the impression of being distant or withdrawn. Ability Ocular Mind Meld Allison's power goes far beyond simple mind reading. When she makes eye contact with another person, Her mind is connected to theirs. For the briefest moment that her eyes meet another's, she experiences all of their memories, all of their thoughts, everything that makes them who they are. This is an extremely disturbing experience for her as she doesn't just experience the good, but also the bad. Every painful moment, every nasty thought, every evil deed. She is immersed in it all in an instant. Limits to Ability Her ability is a passive one and she has no control over it, yet. Her power requires eye contact to work. Age admitted into Riverwood 17 Background Allison was just a normal girl, living a normal life. Going out with friends, worrying about boys and chasing the newest fashions. Then her life changed when her power awakened. Suddenly she knew every ugly secret that her supposed friends hide from each other, everyone around her were just liars, hiding their nastiness behind masks. She couldn't face any of them anymore and began to withdraw from the world. And then she met Him. She bumped into Him one day whilst walking home from school and for a moment their eyes accidently met. In that moment she saw him torturing his victims, heard them as they screamed for mercy, she felt the knife in her hand as it bled the life out of them. After that day, Allison refused to leave the house. She was clearly traumatized by something and, not knowing what to do, her parents had a psychologist come to talk to her. The man specialized in treating troubled teenagers and, during their first session she inadvertently met his eyes in the reflection of her bedroom mirror and knew that he was secretly looking for teens struggling with the emergence of strange powers and that he worked for Riverwood Academy. She confided in him and he helped her to get to the Academy, making excuses to her family and ensuring no questions would be asked. Other Allison doesn't know whether or not her power will work on herself and she's too scared of the possibility to even look at her reflection in a mirror. She is terrified of the idea knowing herself so deeply, without any self delusion.

Name: Cammy D'Alia Nickname: Friends and family often refer to her as "Jay" because of a slight obsession with bluejays when she was younger. She has given herself the nickname "Trauma". Gender: Female Age: 17 Brief Personality: Cammy used to be a lot happier and friendlier than she is today. But certain events have left her depressed and with a much darker personality than she used to. She tends to be quiet and somewhat moody but when she has something to say or gets angry then she's more than capable of vocalizing her thoughts. She's not fond of people touching her, mostly out of fear of what her power may inadvertently do to them. Ability: Cammy is able to transfer other peoples pain to herself and others by touch. In addition to this, and possibly as a coping mechanism, her body is at peak human condition. She is faster, stronger, more agile etc. than a normal person. She doesn't need to eat or sleep as often as would normally be required and she doesn't seem to tire from exercise or strenuous activity. Limits to Ability: When Cammy gets emotional, she can't fully control her ability. If she absorbs too much pain at any one time, her body may not be able to cope with it and she has, on at least one occasion, fallen into a coma after absorbing too much. Age admitted into Riverwood: 16 Background: Cammy was born in Mumbai, the middle child to an Indian father and an American mother. Both of her parents were doctors and Cammy idolized them. She always dreamt of following in their footsteps. When Cammy was six, she and her family moved to America, for reasons Cammy was never fully aware of. Her parents opened a small clinic to treat the poor and underprivileged and Cammy was fond of helping out, often talking to the patients and easing their minds. Many people often remarked that they felt better just having Cammy around. This was a sentiment that seemed to echo throughout Cammy's life. People always liked her. Her parents patients adored her, her friends at high school loved her. She was a talented athlete with what seemed like boundless potential and it seemed like Cammy was altogether destined for a great life. And then it happened. Cammy remembers her mother's scream every day. While helping out at her parents clinic, Cammy heard her mom cry out from one of the examination rooms in the back. The young girl rushed into the room and saw the most horrific sight of her life. There was a man with a knife standing over her bleeding mother on the floor. Without even thinking, Cammy rushed to her mothers side, pushing the attacker aside as she did. When she held her mom in her arms, Cammy's powers seemed to kick in. The poor girl felt every second of her moms pain as she died. But Cammy remembers the gentle smile her mother gave her as she passed. Cammy was filled with rage though. As her mothers attacker advanced on her, seemingly intent on ending her life too, Cammy lashed out and tackled the man to the ground. In a blind rage she punched him over and over again, transferring every ounce of pain running through her body to him with every blow. She almost beat the man half to death and admits that she would have finished the job had she not blacked out. When she awoke a few days later, she found herself in an old motel room with her father and younger brother. Confused and heartbroken, Cammy listened to her dad explain that her mom was dead. She already knew this. What she didn't know was that her attacker had seemingly escaped in the confusion. Not only that but some men had apparently come looking for Cammy. Her father, seemingly knowing who these men were, had whisked Cammy and her brother away. He was concerned for their safety. He explained to Cammy about his plan to send her to a special school. One that could help her learn about her abilities and keep her safe. Under normal circumstances, Cammy would have protested against this. But these weren't normal circumstances. And Cammy wasn't the same person she had been. She felt completely numb. Completely numb except for the dull ache at the back of her mind. After arriving at the school, Cammy kept to herself mostly. The happy, friendly Cammy seemed to be gone. In her place was a quiet and moody young woman who would rather be by herself than around others. She finds it hard to connect to other people the way she used to and is still haunted by the face of her mother's killer. Appearance:

Name: Ryuu Tatsuo Nickname: Little Dragon Gender: Female Age: 14 Age Admitted into Riverwood: 13 Ability: Dragon-esque abilities. Breathing fire, fire resistance, dragon wings, dragon talons, etc. Limits to Ability: Ryuu cannot control the heat of her flame, and may loose control over her dragon instincts. Personality: Ryuu is sweet and innocent. Much like an ideal younger sibling. She almost never gets mad and loves to help. She great house hold skills and is quite mature. Though on the rare occasion Ryuu gets mad, she is a sadistic, short tempered, violent, and over all terrifying person. Background: Ryuu was born to a poor family. She was the middle child in a family of 7. Upon her birth her parents saw that Ryuu had dragon wings, but they decided they did't want to leave their daughter. So instead they decided that they would have Ryuu wear a jacket and fold her wings in in order to hide them. Ryuu tried to live as normal a life as she could. She took care of her siblings and family. But as Ryuu got older she found it harder to control dragon instincts. One night she went on a rampage. Ryuu burned down her house, wounded her siblings, and broke house hold objects. Though upon awaking from her rampage, Ryuu was devastated. She decided to leave her family, hoping that they would be safer without her. And so she arrived at Riverwood. Other: Likes meat.

Name: Nicholas Cayne Nickname: Nick Gender: Male Age: 16 Brief Personality: Nick is a cheerful, light hearted kind of person who is constantly trying to find ways to lighten the mood or make people happier in general. He can make jokes about bad things that happen to him, but is sensitive and tries not to tread on any toes. He likes people and dislikes loneliness. Ability: Nick has an intrinsic ‘awareness’ of things in a certain radius around him. He knows the shape, location and details of any object within a certain range of him, like an area where he can sense everything. Kind of like a sixth sense. It’s useful in fog because fog doesn’t hinder it. Limits to Ability: Currently, its range is quite short, sitting at about 10 meters. Also, his awareness doesn’t give him an awareness of colour, or light in general. His ability is apparently limited to matter and solid objects, though he can perceive gaseous substances similarly to heat waves. Age admitted into Riverwood: 16 Background: Nick was always a fairly cheerful kid since he was born. He liked hanging out with his friends but was kind of average otherwise. That changed when he got into a car accident. The car accident scarred his eyes and made him put a bandage around them for all of his life. Life got more difficult for him, in more ways than one. The first reason was because he had to adapt to a life without sight. The second reason hurt him more, however. People didn’t really talk about the incident. This wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it felt like people were avoiding him. And they kind of were. Beforehand, most of his class could talk to him, and he had a lot of friends and acquaintances. Now, only his closest friends were around him. It made Nick feel alone in class, because he couldn’t see anyone and they wouldn’t talk to him. One day, however, his powers awakened. Everyone was shocked at how it was like he could see again. The atmosphere became close to like how it was before. But his parents wanted him to go to Riverwood. They had heard rumours of what the government did to kids with strange powers, and they didn’t want it to happen to him. At first, he objected, but he realised the pain he would put people through if he died, rather than if he disappeared. So Nick left, and travelled to learn at Riverwood. Appearance: Nick has short, brown hair and is around 160 cm. He’s got a rather average build, and is rather average altogether, save for the bandages he has around his eyes. Other: Nick likes soft things, because they are soft. Also, Nick isn’t that great at combat. Because he’s blind, he can’t read or see colour. He almost can’t write.

Name:Terraline Gray Nickname: Terry Gender: Female Age: 16 Brief Personality: Depending on the situation, Terraline can leave the impression of either the nicest person or the most stubborn person you've ever met. Despite being quite the introvert, she can be caring and kind to those she cares for. Terry has always been on the quiet side. She's not very trusting of others so she chooses to keep her mouth shut until she feels the need to speak up. She is the type to open up the more she gets to know people. It takes time to earn her trust. Those who do get to know her learn fast that she's very stubborn and very sarcastic. She is bull-headed and nothing will change her mind once she's set on something. Her temper can be struck easily despite her kind nature. Terry is not very patient and will do things without thinking sometimes. She's reckless and has to remind herself to stop and think often. Ability: Telekinesis: User can influence/manipulate/move matter with their mind Limits to Ability: Effective only with objects within sight. It also takes a long time for her to master picking up large things like cars and truck into the air. Age admitted into Riverwood: 16 Background: The youngest of three children, Terraline was born into an average household. However her father was not around for a good portion of their lives. Betraying their mother on more than one occasion, she grew to learn that you truly can't trust anyone-- even your own family. Her sister Josephine was never quite right. The girl seemed intent on making everyone's lives miserable. She was simply insane. School was awful because of her and it was a struggle to keep the few friends she had. Meanwhile her brother Xander was a bit more normal. Seemingly kind and thoughtful to everyone, he was very charismatic. He could charm even the most stubborn of people. Terry always thought something had not sat right with his brain either. She turned to music and art for an escape from her loneliness and she had been content with staying up in her room drawing until one day. Other: She has a cat named Luna. Name:Xander Gray Gender: Male Age: 20 Brief Personality: Xander is seemingly very mysterious. He doesn't give much information about himself to anyone yet can easily get people to like him. Charming and charismatic, he's known to be flirty when he wants to be. Xander's a natural born leader and can sway people with words. He may act sweet but his own interest is himself. He's very arrogant and smug in reality. Even with a very high temper, he tends to hide his emotions and put on a cool, collected demeanor. Ability: Teleportation Limits to Ability: Electricity can stop him from teleporting, he can only teleport to places he has seen or been before. Age admitted into Riverwood: 20 Background: Xander has known about mutants for a long time. He knew his parents were mutants. He knew they had attended a secret school he'd go one day when they came to get them. He had used his ability a few times but thanks to the scattered locations, he was very difficult to detect. He's further along than most people are upon arriving at Riverwood. With a hidden agenda, he finally decides to purposely teleport around the house in hopes of the school detecting their location but also with the knowledge that they would not be the only ones to detect them, risking both his sisters and his parents lives.

Name: Isaiah Merkkabah Nickname: Icarus Gender: Male Age: 19 Brief Personality: Isaiah, despite being raised by polite and kind parents, ended up being extremely rude. Isaiah has few manners, is very aggressive, and is also prone to making very lewd comments at people. Isaiah, much to his peers sorrow, was also blessed with intellect and a very fine body. To which he uses to annoy others as often as possible. Ability: He can grow up to six wings, each of with have feathers as sharp as any blade. He can use his wings to fly, as well as melee and distance weapons. He can simply slam them into enemies causing both blunt and 'cut' type damage, as well as fire off the feathers as projectiles. His body's bone, however, are able to heal faster then average. Everything else is still human-weak. Limits to Ability: The wings are as alive as he is. They bleed, feel pain, and can be broken. His body is also more build like a bird's then others, so his bones are quite lighter and more brittle then average. Age admitted into Riverwood: 11 Background: Isaiah was quite lucky for a kid with his mutation, perhaps any other environment would have killed him off had he been born to it. However, god had it out for him. Born to some of the middle-aged staff of the Riverwood academy, he knew about mutants for most of his life and had to be homeschool for most of his lad, so his parents could really force in the idea that he shouldn't tell anyone about his parent's jobs or what all of them knew. However, in the end this didn't mean anything. A few weeks before he was supposed to go to public school, his wings sprouted for the first time. Lucky for him it was at home, with his parents. They, although terrified for Isaiah's future, also felt happy that they could protect their child by sending him to the school they worked for! This was all fine and dandy, for a while, by this time they were quite old and it was starting to show. Now, neither of his parents were quite healthy people and that ended up costing both of them. His father was the first to go, he had a heart attack and he couldn't have been saved. By the time any doctors were able to get to him, his brain had already died off. His mother? Well she died at an accident that occurred at the school when several new students had been brought in. Other: Is very fond of some of the staff, and tries to act much more mannered around them. Also he likes Icarus' story and takes the nickname as a compliment.

Name: Ris Vidyut Nickname: Leaves it up to the school Gender:Male Age:19 Brief Personality: Careful of what he does, Ris attempts to think of what he does before he acts. He may, though, forget to take into account random variables. He tries to be tolerant of what every does, but if made angry enough, may become aggressive. Ability: His cells have learned to hold a large electrical charge, which may cause a accident if dealt with in the correct fashion. At his top output, the machine used to measure his voltage exploded. Limits to Ability: He needs to have his bare feet on the earth to act as a ground or else random disasters may occur. Also, he has not been able to handle any kind of electronic since his change. Age admitted into Riverwood: 15 Background: Ris at a young age loved to explore and was curious of his surroundings. He would touch power sockets and lick metal spoons. He eventually mixed these two likes into one and a giant shock went through him, rupturing several blood vessels. He was rushed to the hospital where it was found that no physical damage had been found and that the vessels were healing fine. The only real sign that he had been hurt were his blood-shot eyes. The hospital staff, worried of who he might be, contacted the authorities, where Ris became recorded. He began to be monitored until he was 14, when he was brought to the attention of Riverwood.

However,he has an intense need to protect those weaker than himself through whatever means possible, though he is uncomfortable with accepting gratitude. He has a golden heart, but hides it beneath a mask of anger, indifference and cruel words. He is afraid to let himself be vulnerable in any way to anyone, and yet also secretly yearns to be able to relate to others like everyone else does. He also tends to believe that those with abilities are superior to those without and harbors a deep seated bitterness and scorn towards normal human beings. He is quite haunted by his past, and experiences regular nightmares, though he won't talk with anyone about them, not even the academy counselors. Ability: Owen has the ability to completely absorb and redirect an almost unlimited amount of kinetic energy. Anything moving towards him at any speed faster than a slow crawl, once it makes contact with him, ceases all motion, save falling to the floor if airborn. The faster something is moving, the more kinetic energy he absorbs. He can then use this energy to move himself or other objects at incredible speeds or with incredible force. His ability makes him almost invulnerable to external physical harm. Since all of the kinetic energy is transferred to him, the object will not take any damage either. He is, however, just as vulnerable to other forms of energy, such as electricity or heat, or harm that doesn't have to do with external damage, such as drowning, suffocating etc. Also, if physical harm is caused slowly, such as a blade being slowly pushed into his body, the ability will not kick in and the damage will happen. Limits to Ability: While he can store an almost infinite amount of kinetic energy, once that energy enters his body, it begins to slowly degrade into potential energy and leaves his body after a certain amount of time. The more energy he has stored, the longer it takes to completely degrade. Once his kinetic energy is completely degraded, he can no longer redirect it. In addition, once he runs out of stored kinetic energy, his body begins to feed off of his own kinetic energy, eventually resulting in complete immobilization, though he remains alive, until more kinetic energy is absorbed. His parents were very active in the government's hunt for the monstrous individuals with strange powers. His father was a high ranking member of the X Force and his mother was a senator with many connections who used her influence to cover up the hunt. When Owen began to accidentally destroy objects around the house while seeming to move rather slowly, and then objects began flying across rooms and even through walls, they knew he was one of those freakish children. They didn't quite have the heart to have him killed, so they called in some favors and instead had him moved to one of the government's secret testing facilities. He was kept there for 7 years and subjected to all manner of physical and emotional tests, often bordering on torture as they would run varying levels of electrical current through his body and even cut into his back, legs and arms to find the threshold for his defense. During this time, part of his hair permanently turned white because of the pain and emotional trauma he endured. When he was 14 years old, one of the doctors took pity on him and the other captive children and tried to set them free. The plot was discovered, however, and most of the children and the doctor were killed during the escape. Owen believes he is the only one to have gotten free. However, he will commit to cunning methods if he deems it necessary. Reckless, with an almost-carefree attitude, Sage tries to enjoy life and live in the moment. Ability: Molecule Manipulation Limits to Ability: Sage cannot create molecules, nor against those who have control over their own. He is unable to fly or lift himself off the ground. Additionally, healing is excruciatingly painful and drains him of energy. If he induces pain, it takes a deal of concentration, thus leaving him with a throbbing headache. A portion of her day is spent gazing in the mirror and admiring her reflection. With zilch regard to people's lives or right's, Josephine has become infamous. However, she has the strong ability to deceive others with an Innocent smile and bat of her eyelids. Impulsive would not suit her - this girl thinks through everything and plans far ahead. Whatever stands in her way, will be given devastation. Ability: Pyrokinesis Limits to Ability: Must always be in control of emotions and thoughts - if not, fire spirals out of her control, causing damage. She can burn herself if the heat's too intense. Smoke inhalation is not her friend, and she needs oxygen. Hydrokinesis will affect her greatly as well. Nickname: Gender: Male Age: 24 Brief Personality: With an outgoing and caring nature especially towards the younger students, Levi appears to be a perfect candidate as a future teacher at Riverwood. Wanting to make an inclusive place he works hard in making sure those around him are feeling comfortable at the school and is often seen talking to anyone and everyone in hopes of making sure people don't feel left out knowing far too well that the journey to Riverwood is rarely a pleasant one. Even though he is seen by all of the students and two-thirds of the staff as a charismatic person, there is something more to him that makes it seem otherwise. For the most part he has been able to keep the other side of him at bay but his resistance has been slowly chipping away and how long it can stay that way is unsure. Ability: Technological communication Limits to Ability: Keith’s power is continually on and can be a distraction when he doesn't want to use his power. Not being able to turn his power off can be problematic especially if he is overloaded with information which is one reason he avoids large cities. Age admitted into Riverwood: 20 Background: Growing up in a small town, Levi's life was quite average living in a single parent household along with his older brother of three years. But the life of normality changed after the first time the X21 gene made an appearance while Levi's father was away. Levi was thirteen the first time he saw his brother's and making a vow of silence, neither told anyone of Jordan's ability. With such a mundane and easily concealed ability Jordan probably could have lived a normal life. However the X21 gene wasn't as kind to Levi. Found only months after his powers started to manifest at the age of fifteen, the brothers were taken in by the X Force after an unfortunate accident caused by Levi's ability. It was during their fourth year that a rumour started to circulate that a doctor freed a group tothat was held captive on the other side of the facility. Although unsure of the outcome it gave the brothers and those they were with hope. Even with the elevated security and harsher treatment since the incident with the escapees they were determined to get out. The escape wasn’t an easy trial and many were detained if not killed on the spot and during the chaos Levi was separated from Jordan. Ending up with two other teens after the escape the trio tried to find a save haven but were too late for one of them, passing away a week before Riverwood took them in. In critical condition when found, Levi spent most of the first few month in the infirmary which was when some of the staff first witnessed Levi's other personality. Taking a few extra classes to catch up with his peers, Levi has pretty much finished the courses taught for the education portion and has even been given an opportunity to be an assistant teacher while finishing up classes to help him with his abilities with a future opportunity to be promoted to a teacher once all of his education is finished but at this point has refused the position. Other: Levi believes that his brother is alive but with the ability to nullify other abilities Jordan hasn't been found. That is if he is alive.

Nickname: Lucy (based of the movie Fifty First Dates) Gender: Female Age: Estimated around 14 Brief Personality: Often very reserved if not bordering fearful after a mind wipe, Mia is usually very cautious as she tries to figure out where she is and tries to come to terms of loosing her memory. She can be quite sarcastic and sharp with her words but it is more often than not used as a defense mechanism to mask her fear or to make sure she doesn't come across as needy than actually being short tempered as she can sometimes be perceived of being. She is usually more open once she is more comfortable and finds someone she can trust. Ability: Adoptive muscle memory, enhanced reflexes and strength Limits to Ability: About every two or three weeks Mia looses her memory of what has happened since her last memory wipe after waking up in the morning. What she has learned during that time is retained but everything else from how she learned it even to who she is becomes lost to her. She is currently trying to extend this time but hasn't gotten too far on it as of yet. Age admitted into Riverwood: 13 Background: Due to her constant mind wipes no one is really sure who or where Mia came from before she was found and with the unsuccessful attempts to pry into her past with different abilities of teachers and students it is very unlikely for her to ever find out. All everyone knows about her is that she was found wandering the streets of New York with no plan or direction after a recent mind wipe, much less her own name. Coming up with a name for herself off a shop's name close to where she was found, she has been know by Mia since then. Other: She is often found with a camera strapped to her wrist and is often found filming diary entries for the next time her memory goes away or watching previous entries. Valentine is out going and social, and is actually really smart. He likes to pretend he is dumb just to catch people off guard as to further solidify his persona of being laid back. It's when Chris or his friends are in a dangerous situation when he becomes serious. He becomes calculating, but still calm. Chris will do anything to protect his friends and those close to him. He also will help any mutant in need because he knows how bad life can be as one and feels a sense of camaraderie. Chris is also a music enthusiast, and plays the guitar quite well. He won't admit it but he also writes songs and is a really good singer. But his singing is usually restricted to the shower or his notepads. Ability: Sunakinesis: User can create, shape and manipulate sand, a naturally occurring loose, fragmented/granular sedimentary material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles ranging in diameter from 0.0625 mm (or 1⁄16 mm) to 2 mm. Limits to Ability: Liquids can make his sand heavier and harder to manipulate. Enough liquid can turn his sand into mud, which makes it virtually useless. Intense heat can turn his sand into glass but he would still be able to manipulate it. Certainly the eccentric type. Michelle is strong, confident, prideful, and often called strange. She uses her seemingly limitless confidence to carry her through her tasks. A directness that seems to be a bit more on place with males. She prides herself on her accomplishments, and is certainly one to show it. On the other hand, those could also be called her social weaknesses. Direct when subtly could work, lets her pride and confidence get the best of her, and prefers to do it her way. Social nuances and subtleties go over her head at times. When around others, Michelle's aforementioned traits become more pronounced. She can handle herself around others, though, she isn't exactly the type to lead a conversation. She tends to stumble when it comes to conversation topics. Extended conversations tend to make her very uncomfortable. Meeting new people, Michelle treats everyone as an equal. She tries her best, and sometimes it's enough to befriend people. Even though she doesn't exactly make too many friends. One thing that people are quick to note is that she doesn't have any close friends. She always seems to keep them at arm's length. Insulting her intelligence in anyway is a sure-fire way to get her angry. Michelle also has a deep seated anger within herself that stems from being rejected by her family at the drop of a hat. It's a mass of emotions that she managed to keep contained for a few years. That she sometimes takes out on the world, or alternatively, whoever chooses to pick on her. Michelle won't hesitate to beat someone to an inch of their life and call it "therapeutic". Which tends to get her in trouble. Another problem she has is that she's fierce. She will not hesitate to back up her talk with her fists. Though, she doesn't shit-talk or throw insults back and forth because those skills are rather lackluster. Through all the confidence and pride she is known for, Michelle has become quite sullen and withdrawn. Choosing to seclude herself at times rather than facing her emotions. That's the one thing Michelle fears, facing herself and seeing how ugly she's become. She blames it on her power, her family, everything but herself. Dodging it is far more feasible than facing it. Anything is. When alone, the question comes up more often than she'd like. Michelle also has a few fears. A crippling (and generic) Claustrophobia, a crippling fear of tight spaces. It's linked to her power, but Michelle also has Frigophobia, a fear of getting too cold. Ability: Dinosaur-Transformation. Michelle Gallus has the power to transform into the Scary Monsters that ruled the planet long before man had it's chance. That said, Michelle has the power to fully, or selectively, transform into a variety of dinosaurs, gaining their natural abilities. However, she can only properly transform into Dinosaurs, with similar mass - bigger ones are out of her range. Dinosaurs are physical powerhouses. Strong, fast, tough as nails, and have enhanced senses (With some having night vision)... well, it depends on the type of Dinosaur, but yeah. One thing I should note is that Dinosaurs have an impressive healing factor. They can bounce back from wounds that would kill a human being, and other animals. That might just be their toughness, though. Along with sharp teeth/claws, strong jaws, and other scary traits, Michelle isn't one to fuck with one she transforms. These Dinosaurs have fabulous feathers (Yes, that is important). Now, Michelle usually transforms into a Raptor. Because Raptors are even more fabulous. And pretty practical. Michelle's power also defies the laws of mass conversation (Very blatantly at that). It is possible for her to transform into a T-Rex... but, the process is so hard and taxing that she hasn't been able to successfully transform (Usually she passes out) yet. Now, Michelle can also selectively shape shift parts of her body into dinosaur appendages. She can give herself large raptor claws, or change her arms into pterodactyl wings. Or simply partially transform into a hybrid of man and Dino. Now, I should note that some of her Dinosaur abilities transfer back to her human form. She's stronger, tougher, faster, heals quickly, and her senses are heightened (Her night vision is apex) - with Michelle's sheer size, the first two are the most improved aspects. They're simply better when she's in Dino form, or if she goes hybrid, she's stronger. Michelle is also cold-blooded, her body heat depends on the environment, and she needs to rely on external means to maintain it. Michelle also has an affinity towards wild-reptiles. They'll never attack her unprovoked, and she can communicate with them. Not saying that she can control them, but she could make one follow her orders. Limits to Ability: Michelle cannot easily transform into large dinosaurs. Michelle can only transform into a dinosaur every now and then. Age admitted into Riverwood: 18 Background: Born as an only child in the nigh-tropical Floridan city of Key West, Michelle's early life up to her teen years were uneventful. She was a simple little girl living her life. Her parents were hard working people who slaved away in the offices to support her. Heat was something Michelle got used to as she grew up in what had to be a tropical paradise. She was pushed towards sports by her parents, whom truly wanted a son, but were willing to settle for a girl. It didn't matter to Michelle, since it was . Soccer, Baseball, and Swimming, were three sports that she had grown to love doing, and became pretty good at too. That skill was something that netted her plenty of friends. But it also made her fiercely competitive. Michelle was constantly finding her way into trouble, to her parent's dismay. Picking fights with people, or causing general mischief, Michelle found her situations to be quite amusing. Which meant she kept doing it because she thought it'd be fun. Again, causing problems that her parents had to solve. They disciplined Michelle, but they were simply too lax with their punishments to make any difference in her behavior. So there wasn't anyone to really stop her from exploring her growing masculine-side either. As her mother wasn't too solid of a strong female role model either. Things took a quick turn once she turned fifteen, in the middle of an incredibly awkward stage of her life (The dreaded puberty). Her power had awakened. Subtly at that. There was no traumatic event attached, it was merely developing all her life until it reached the point where it could be activated. It first manifested in a freak growth spurt that shot her height up from 5'3 to 5'8 in a short amount of time. Then it made her harder, better, faster, stronger, in... noticeable ways. The sports she played, the fights she won, she realized that she could do it much better now. Michelle was quickly realizing that she might be becoming a superhuman - and her parents caught on too. However, they were wrong in what they theorized Michelle had. What they thought was simple peak-human capabilities turned out to be something much more... beastly. And it awakened in one of the worst moments. Michelle was showering after a big basketball game with her team, and she felt a pain like no other. Her vision changed, and she quickly fell and curled up onto the ground. Scales had covered her skin, as her body visibly changed to that of a velociraptor. Everyone absolutely freaked out, and hauled ass before the dinosaur girl could eat them! Michelle herself didn't have any idea what was going on, but she desperately shambled around, almost fooling herself into thinking it was a bad dream. Trained professionals were called to deal with her and Michelle was captured. On the way there, Michelle had curled up and accidentally transformed back into her human form. They had realized that it wasn't a raptor rampaging through the school, but it was Michelle's Meta-human ability manifesting. After escaping, Michelle had ran straight to her house. Cold and naked. But, by then, the damage was already done. The world had known Michelle for the creature she had turned into. Her friends rejected her, no one would help her. Even her own family had turned her back on Michelle and cast her out on the streets with her clothes and some supplies. They didn't want anything to do with their monstrous child anymore. Cast out on the streets, Michelle literally had nothing to her name. Michelle left Key West and headed towards, well, anywhere that wasn't there. She was so broken by being forced to live on her own. Michelle stuck to the swamps and wooded areas. Living off the land to the best of her ability. This is where she experimented with the very power that got her in this situation in the first place. She tried to learn her limits and capabilities. She learned that she had the ability to transform into Dinosaurs. She practiced this ability often as she could (there was a period afterwards where she had to take a break) and realized how strong she was. She stopped scrounging for foods and learned to hunt it herself. She became a wild-child, and honestly, she wouldn't have it any other way. Michelle stayed away from humanity, except for the few times she had to come back to get some new clothes. Michelle drifted from place to place for what had to be a year. Sticking close to the warmer parts of Florida. She drifted a little closely to a circus. She snuck in using her power to help and decided to watch the show. From there, she learned that the performers were certainly superhuman. Preforming tricks for the thrills of themselves and others. However, Michelle didn't expect for one of the performers to be on the look out for people trying to steal a show like her. She got caught. She was lectured by the woman, who threatened to call the police. Michelle dropped her entire story in some hope that the popo wouldn't get involved. The story had moved the woman, and Michelle's life was going to take another turn. Being a superhuman sympathizer, the woman had offered to take Michelle under her wing at the local circus, as the woman was looking for someone like her. Michelle would get food and a place to stay, but she had to learn how to preform acrobatics like the rest of them. She accepted the deal in a heartbeat, truly wanting a place where she belonged. From there, Michelle's training began. It wasn't exactly easy, the girl had to work hard. But as the months went by, it came to her. As Michelle learned, she often went out into the woods for awhile to be the beast that felt so natural to her. Or when she was annoyed, angry, or depressed. It became her sanctuary, as nobody would go anywhere near there. In her spare time, Michelle had received some some Wrestling matches with the other carnies. It was strange, but Michelle learned how to use that strength of hers for some brutal takedowns. Along with relieving plenty of stress. In less than a year, Michelle had learned about acrobatics and became a regular performer in their acts. Life felt great. However.... The X-Force caught wind of her. Michelle fled, using her powers to assist. She felt another life she had built up for herself get ruined. She became a lone wanderer, on the run from the X-Force. However, she came across the Riverwood Academy.... Appearance: A true giantess for a 18 year old. Michelle practically breaths confidence and flaunts her strength with practically every step. Michelle doesn't exactly fit the ideal image of a female girl. She leans a bit on male than proper female. Tall, has broad shoulders, thick bones that accentuate her feminine figures. That isn't to say that she isn't devoid of any feminine grace, it's more of the fact that she hasn't exactly embraced it. What swings her back the other way is her rather large breasts, and her blatantly feminine face. Michelle is kept in shape from physical activity. She does have some muscle-tone on her flesh, not enough to call her a body builder, but enough to accentuate her figure. However, she's not exactly one to show it. She's built strong, and appears far from fragile. Amazon-like would be the more accurate term since she's 6'8ft, towering over even males, weighing at least 272 pounds. She towers above other girls and some boys too. Most of this height comes from her power, not genetics or anything like that. Generally intimidating to most males with her size. Her frame has to be rectangle-shaped, lacking the idealized hour-glass figure. She doesn't have the idealized long legs, her legs are quite proportionate to the rest of her body. She has rather large feet, and strong earth-hands, that lack that delicacy. Michelle is African-American, with roots coming from Uganda, and her skin is a brown color. Her skull shape and facial features also do much to tell about her ethnicity. Her skin is a very dark shade of brown, for a comparison you could say that her skin is a chocolate color. Coated with plenty of scars due to sports, fights, and other things. There are also plenty of signs Michelle has been fighting animals of various types. On her arms and legs there are bite marks. Michelle has a hideous three-point claw scar on her face starting under her right eye, and going down her neck to her chest. There's a large birthmark on her right cheek, that takes a round shape. Another birthmark is on the side of her forehead. Michelle possesses a large, diamond-shaped head, with sharp and pronounced facial features. She has a square, rather strong, jaw that looks more on place on a boy. It comes with a large square chin that blends into her jawline quite well, giving Michelle a bit of a "lantern jaw". She has a large, droopy-shaped, nose that is generally round, and as the name suggests, droops downward somewhat. It's also quite wide with large nostrils. It's far from disproportionate compared to her rather large lips. Michelle has narrow, large, crescent-shaped ears. Michelle's eyes are round, and have an almond-ish shape to them. They are a dark-brown color. Michelle's hair is straight, and has an afro-texture to it. Her hair is dark brown, and is styled in a long bobcut. Brief Personality: Due to her past, Amelia is very child-like and innocent girl, having been out of contact with humans for most of her life. As a result of this, she is very shy and unwilling to talk to others, save the first person she shares forms a bond with. Who she comes to be can be shaped by this person.

The one thing about Amelia that can't be shaped is how much she detests violence. Having been abused her entire life, she can't stand fighting or the sight of blood, save her own since she is used to it.

On top of these traits Amelia has cases of Androphobia (Fear of Men) and Phonophobia (fear of loud noises).

Ability: Amelia has one ability, which is the ability to call upon spirits and give them a physical body. When the ability initially awakened, she was only able to call upon the spirits of the dead. After a certain series of events (see history), she gained the ability to summon elemental spirits via the crystals on her wings. The elementals are known to take either humanoid or monstrous forms while the spirits of the dead take the forms they have in life or angelic/demonic appearances, depending on the spirit's preference.

Amelia's spirits are powerful and intelligent, capable of summoning themselves when Amelia is in signifigant danger or they perceive her to be. Unlike their master, they do not hesitate to kill.

Limits to Ability: The biggest limit on Amelia's abilities is Amelia herself. While she has the ability to summon as many as she wants, summoning too many puts tremendous stress on her body. Due to her heart condition, she only has the ability to summon two spirits at a time, as any more could prove potentially fatal to her.

On top of that, her spirits have weaknesses. Her Spirits of the Dead are unable to come out in holy places and cannot be in the prescence of anything that can be considered 'holy'. Her elemental spirits can't exist in conditions that do not favor them. An example: her Spirit of Fire, Ifrit, cannot exist in watery conditions or heavy rain while her water spirit, Undine, cannot exist in dry conditions.

Background: Amelia's XGene awakened at a very early age. Growing up in an abusive household, the stress caused from living in such an environment is suspected to be the reason her powers awakened at the tender age of five, as she summoned several spirits when her father was beating her, resulting in her father's death. The government quickly took notice of this and, upon learning the details of her abilities, decided to keep her alive and use her to study mutants they had killed before.

Amelia was 'killed' the next day and secretly taken to a hidden lab, where the experimenting began. The scientist there kept Amelia alive, though they forced her to use her abilities to bring back the spirits of dead mutants in order to experiment on them further and get a better understanding. Whenever Amelia decided to not summon a spirit, the scientist would give her electric shocks as punishment, though due to them viewing her as a non-human, the shocks were stronger then they should've been and began effecting her heart over time.

When Amelia was ten years old, the scientists decided to try and strengthen her powers through an experimental drug they had been testing. The end result was something they were not expecting: Amelia began screaming in pain and two skeletal limbs burst from her back as her eyes, originally emerald green, turned to a bright, cherry red. After their appearance, several small, differently colored lights appeared around Amelia and gathered at different points of the new limbs, forming into crystals. While the scientist were normally obligated to terminate a mutant with such a stand-out detail immediately, Amelia was spared due to her usefulness.

The drug did do it's intended effect, allowing Amelia to now see spirits as well as granting her the ability to summon elemental spirits from the crystals on her wings.

This proved to be a fatal mistake, as you can only push one so far before they explode. Five years of experimentation, abuse, and pain finally pushed Amelia too far one day. During an experiment, Amelia broke down and the spirits around her, angry at the scientists in the area, suddenly materialized everywhere. On top of that, Amelia's elemental spirits materialized as well. Both types attacked everyone in the facility and pandemonium ensued, resulting in the entire lab exploding, with Amelia only survive thanks to her Spirits of Earth and Fire protecting her from the flames.

However, the stress that the mass summoning put on her body caused the girl's heart permanent damage, making her cough up blood and collapse. One of the spirits of the dead remained materialized long enough to take the young girl away and out of the area before the government could arrive and trap or kill Amelia.

Amelia has been wondering by herself since then, the spirits slowly, but surely, guiding her to Riverwood Academy.

When first found, she will be wearing nothing but a lab shirt. Her preferred style of cloths will be jeans and a shirt, with nothing on her feet.

Other: Due to the constant shocks she received as discipline and the mass summoning that lead to her escape, Amelia has a very weak and damaged heart. Should she be put under too much stress or her heart begin beating too fast, it will cause her massive pain and begin coughing up blood, weakening her considerably and causing her to collapse.

Due to a lack of use and constant screaming from her time in the labs, Amelia's throat is also in bad condition, leading to near muteness. While she can talk, it is very painful for her to do so.
