It's the best thing I ever wrote, and that's no exaggeration. I hope that it doesn't turn out that everyone else is better than me, because that would be embarrassing, considering I just said that it's the best thing I ever wrote.

To this day I still don't know if one of my works was 11,000 words or 11,000 characters.

Maybe it was just 11 pages.

Well, eleven thousand words would be about 22 pages (based on my experience with Microsoft Word, it's about 500 a page on the default settings with text size 12.) There are an average of 4-6 characters a word, so let's say five a word on average. That would be 2200 words. 11 pages would be about 5,500 words.
No matter how you slice it, a commendable effort.

As many as you can. Don't burn yourself out on these things -- there's many more contests to come. But of course the contests are at their best when everyone's pitching in on the reviews.

Well, four done for now, 26 more to go. If I get the motivation I'll do another three or four today. The day is still young, after all. It's almost as hard writing reviews as it was actually writing my entry.
