Banter?

We left banter behind when Darth admitted to being a mutant with more peanut butter than actual mouth.

So does British chocolate. Real chocolate comes from France.

There's also no such thing as too much peanut butter.

I am somewhat of a fan of Belgian chocolate, but Galaxy is the undisputed king, all British.

Good luck insulting my country's food, Britain doesn't have any of our own food. During our long years as Imperialists where we founded certain countries I could name we also appropriated all the best food-stuffs, Chinese wedding food, Indian curries, Australian and American BBQ, walk down any British high-street and you can get the best food from all over the world.

We might have lost our empire, but we've still stolen everyone's best food ideas.

That being said, we did invent the modern sandwich (or at least popularize it), so get rekt with your peanut-butter.

The Crown discusses what it wants, you useless tea-wasting secessionist! I adjust my monocle at you!

(That being said, one should also remember Swiss chocolate. That overly commercialized Toblerone aside, they do make some good stuff!)

You may have stolen your food, but ours came to us willingly.

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”

All of our food evolved from cultures that came to us. The meek, the weak, the weary. Those who were invited and those who willingly came.

A culture of food built on a land of unity, not conquest. (Except for the imperialism that it was built on COUGH COUGH. But hey I guess that's YOUR fault.)

Your food stinks of violence, ours smells of victory.

And I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

- 'Murica

I've just finished study of two years of U.S crime, immigration and the KKK, this is not the time to start the history war with a history student my friend, lay down your food and your weapons, this will not end well.

Just joking, but you might be surprised by some of the realities of U.S 'unity', or not, depending on how cynical you are.

Is it that wonderful smell that makes you lot eat so damn much of it then? Perhaps there is some rather distasteful history behind our own food, but it's also extensive- and we've learned the art of proper portion sizes! While the world mocks you as rotund, we are the pinnacle of elegance!

In Soviet Russia, we have food that stems from centuries old tradition. When eating borsch, my spirit reunites with my ancestry and i feel the historical legacy of a long agricultural tradition running through my veins.

Donald Trump's words are heavily misconstrued, though a lot of his ideas are a bit dumb. Every major news network is run by people who hate him, so generally things aren't going to come through as positive.

That said, though I'm voting for Trump. It's only because I don't want that traitor Hillary in office.

Since Bernie's not going to win because his popularity is tapering.

Back to the topic of the wall though. (Stupid idea, never going to happen. But the reason is fine.)

Illegal Immigration is kind of problematic. We get it, like, everyone gets it. America IS BETTER THAN MEXICO, pretty much all of Central America is run by cartels and violence. So coming to America is an opportunity that they can't get down there.

But breaking into a country illegally, asserting yourself as a member, not paying the same taxes that everyone else has to pay. And expecting to live a normal life?

Unreasonable.

And it's not like legal immigration is hard, they're just not willing to do it. Hell, I'm ROOMING with a Mexican. His family came here legally, so like.

Why doesn't everyone else?

So basically, 'all their countries are shit, and all the people are shit too if they don't get here legally.' Maybe you don't think that personally, but it's a growing opinion among your countrymen.

Let me tell you, as a British citizen with all the right documents, getting into the US was a massive pain in the neck. For someone from a less well-connected country, perhaps without money or the right documents, entering the legal way might be truly impossible.

But anyways, that's not my point. I know people from Southern and Central America, and they're fucking scared of Trump. Not because they're illegal immigrants (they're not) but because of the rhetoric he's spreading. He may phrase it in vaguely political terms (and yes, it is true that illegal immigration causes a multitude of problems), but the overall message he's spreading is one of hate, one of racism. These people I know? They've experienced that personally. One of them actually left the fucking States and moved up to Canada because he couldn't handle the constant harassment he was getting.

So fuck Trump. The president can't get shit done anyways (as the recent years with Obama have proven), so electing an established politician like Hillary isn't going to hurt the country too much. Not as much, at least, as the guy who is utterly loathed by the rest of the planet, because he says whatever he needs to to get the crowd riled up and on his side, even if that means turning them against a whole demographic. If he gets elected, people are going to get hurt because of his false ideals. At least with Clinton you can see she's just going to continue the same old bullshit.

>history student

Don't make me take a picture of my degree and wave it in your face. Assuming I can find the fucking thing.

That being said, everything about why no one should vote for Trump is summed up by this video. There's also the fact that Trump's an adulterer, lied repeatedly on multiple topics for personal gain, and that he has openly supported both torture and the killing of civilians. Source for Trump's statement on killing civilians. It's pretty hard to misconstrue that statement as anything other than support for attacking civilians, especially when he refused to outright deny it.

Also, this: politifact.com/personalities/donald-tr..

I mean, from a purely ethical and moral standpoint, Trump's platform* is not only disgusting, it's plainly un-American. Even if I agreed with any of his stances on other issues, the fact that he supports bombing civilians precludes any validity he has as a candidate.

*Trump's platform gets an asterisk, because I actually believe Trump is a changeling. Remember the story about the faeries that come in and swap your baby with one of their own? Trump has never espoused overly reactionary-conservative views prior to this, so I think he's gunning for the nomination, only to swap things up afterward. That being said, it's still reprehensible to do shit like support torture.

Honestly, I'd even prefer an "Establishment Man" like Rubio. At least you know what you're getting. Ideally, Sanders would win. Not because I'm a liberal, but because he's the only candidate who seems to actually give a shit about the American people.

>Racism.
Stop right there. Central American isn't a race, it's a Nationality. There's four races, with some debate on whether the fourth is part of the other. Caucasoid, Negroid, Mongoloid, and Australoid. Just because your skin is a slightly different color doesn't mean you're a different race. It just means you live in a different climate.

He's a blunt plain spoken man, and yeah, of course he's riling up tension. Tension gets votes, once he's in office you'll notice he suddenly stops the sharp aggressive speeches. It's like those "change" speeches that Obama gave, nothing changed. Maybe a couple good things, but he wasn't spearheading them.

Racism is a blanket term for Ethnic discrimination and a whole host of other forms of discrimination, we just don't use 'Ethnicism' probably because it sounds stupid. Central Americans, or even just plain Mexicans are most certainly an ethnicity, and it becomes racist when you decide they are inferior or discriminate based off that ethnicity, say, by suggesting they should have to build a wall to keep their citizens in because they're undesirable in America.

Also this is a weird place for a political debate, but it beats complete silence, so w/e.
