Jerric slowly looked up from the window of the large manor, hearing the the slow rumbling of the un-mistakable sound of car engines. Trucks, to be specific. Soon his suspicions were confirmed as he watched the first vehicle slowly appear through the guarded gates of the entrance to his new home. His new "home" wasnt exactly a home however. It was a gigantic manor, which would have looked welcoming if you ignored the massive wall surrounding it, with hundreds upon hundreds of who-knows-what kind of defense systems set in place. He doubted anyone could get out if they tried, even the most dangerous of the hybrids. It was an entourage of military trucks, each one the size of a semi and fortified to be able to hold a small army... However these were not meant to hold an army. No, they were meant to something even more dangerous: hybrids like himself. They were all arriving on these trucks today, every single one other than the absolutely most dangerous ones. No, those ones were transported here individually so as to reduce risk. He was here early simply because he had been on the very first truck which had come, an hour before. "We need your help son." The general had told him only this morning. "You're the least volatile of almost all the hybrids, and they need someone like them to welcome them, or someone might get hurt. It's for everyones good." Jerric wasn't entirely convinced the man was telling the truth, but he refused to let anyone get hurt, so he promised to be the guide for the new comers... Which meant he needed to get going right now. Slowly, drug his enormous arms along the floor and over to the door, which he opened in his usual sluggish pace before slowly walking outside as the hybrids were all beginning to be loaded off of their trucks, surrounded by armed guards. "Hey everyone!" Jerric shouted as he held up one of his long furry arms, clearly displayed as he was wearing only a simply tank top and shorts. "Welcome to our new home!" It was obvious many of the new comers were jumpy and anxious, especially with all of the guards around. It was his job to calm them, and no one knew calm better than Jerric.

well he expected a high security underground base like the movies but this , well atleast he could be outside doing wharever he needed to do and as he is of cold blood he needed to be in the sun for an hour everyday. Then a military spoked

Jacky looked with interest at the boy that had welcomed him. "I'm Jacky!" He said happily, focusing his attention on the other two hybrids as he made his fins stick straight out. He was excited, showed by the soft hits of his tail against the carpet.

Thresh was decidedly NOT happy. He had spent the last couple weeks locked up in a white room with nothing but the white suit men teaching him "words" and "etiquette" and to "read". The reading hurt his head, how could lines mean things? the only thing that meant things was his thoughts and he wasn't going to let some lines tell him what to think. However he would admit that he liked the pants they had given him, a blessing for everyone else as he refused to wear anything else, and the suspenders proved to be adequate in keeping him entertained as the truck drove him to his destination.

When he felt the truck eek to a stop Thresh was ready for anything, except for a weird...thing speaking to them. He assumed it was something like him but it was just too weird. In fact, none of the other things around him were like him. The white suit men lied to him again! Plastering a frown onto his face, Thresh grunted and waited.

"Don't touch me," Kara snarled as she shrugged off the hand of the guard before it could land on her shoulder. Just because she was short, big guys always thought that she was a pushover or something. She didn't mind, usually. It was better to be underestimated, after all. These ones didn't seem to underestimate her, though, judging from the weapons and tasers she could pick out on their person. She could hold her own in a fight, even when outnumbered, but this time she'd known better than to try and attack. She'd scurried away to hide when she’d learned some people were after… people like her, but someone had ratted her out.

It was probably that weasel Runner, she thought. Lora would find out, and whoever had snitched would have broken arms and legs before they could enjoy the monetary reward they had doubtlessly received. She didn’t know how much had been offered, but Lora had said it was a lot. That was why she had to go to the safe house, she’d said, and had to go in secret. She frowned at the thought. How had Runner found out where she was staying anyway? He must have been eavesdropping again, that was the only option. Otherwise there was only Lora who knew where she was, and there was no way-

Kara cut that thought off before she could finish it and instead focused on the truck that had now fully come to a stop. The doors opened and she jumped out before the guards could try and tell her what to do again, hands shoved into the pockets of her oversized hoodie.

There were three… people standing in front of the entrance of the biggest house she’d ever seen and another was walking towards the group at the left of her. She snorted when a dude with weird arms welcomed them to their ‘home’. As if they were here by choice. Perhaps some of them were, she thought as she looked over a skinny kid with pale fins and a tail. She could take him in a fight, she decided, and perhaps the weird-arm kid as well. The other two set the hairs on the back of her neck on end, with their sharp-slick lizard scents and bulkier bodies. Best to keep on their good sides.

“Whatever arm-boy,” she scoffed, brown eyes peering out suspiciously from beneath the hood of the hoodie she wore even in the warmth of the afternoon. She supposed it wouldn’t be necessary to hide her more animalistic features here of all places, and it wasn’t as if she got sunburns with her brown skin, but she welcomed the familiarity. Living on and off the streets had been harsh, but it had been more familiar than being imprisoned in some posh mansion with freaks like her.

“Does ‘welcome to prison’ sound too bad for your taste or what?”

Jerric took in these different forms of greeting with nothing more than his usual, lazy smile before chuckling at the last comment. "Well, home is where the heart is right? Even prison can be a home." He answered good natuerdlynbefore turning to. Latinost and Jacky. "As for you two! Welcome, and I'm Jerric. It's good to see at least someone is in a good mood around here... If you ask me if yo can't change something you should make the best of it." As he spoke Jerrics eyes continually shifted the reptilian man... Thresh he believed. The General had warned him that he was violent. Had to keep an eye on him. "Either way if we'll just wait for the rest to arrive ill show the grand tour!"

The girl had been alone in the truck, save for the diver ahead of her, a blanket wrapped around her body and the heat turned up to keep her warm for the time that they drove though she was growing tired regardless of how hard the man tried to keep her away. THe spoke to her, tried to engage her in conversation but every time she began to nod off to sleep while they drove. Until they stopped that is and with the cease of movement she had curled up on the large seat and closed her eyes at last to take a quick nap; her tail, shades of brown and black that made it easy to blend into her home territory was laid out on the blanket covered seat and the floor of the large truck. Her green hair spilled around her soft face, clothes of her native territory adorning her womanly figure while she slept; her skin a nice tan from exposure and heritage that contrasted greatly with the light white and pink covering they had given her. "Just a quick nap. . . " She muttered quietly, ignorant of the door opening near the end of her tail until someone reached into the vehicle and touched her. Her tail snapped out and grabbed onto the man, whose hand had gone to the weapon at his side as well, while her tail curled around his arm and crushed the bones painfully before she was even completely aware of what had happened. She bared her fangs at him for a moment, the cry of pain from the man snapping her out of her stupor and she let go again, quickly turning around to apologize to him though she had already frightened the other there. She was a cobra and they were dangerous, even after fifteen years of trying to learn she'd never really figured out how to stop her reflexes when she was half asleep. When another couple of guards escorted her out of the truck she lowered her head and spoke again, quietly though she knew someone would hear her anyway. "Just take em somewhere warm. . . "

---

The woman had spent the majority of the trip sitting cross legged on the seat of the car, next to a girl she didn't know though she could smell prey on it clearly. Eyes closed and wind playing with hair the colour of pure silver she noticed the moment that the car stopped and lifted herself up through the sunroof before anyone had told her she could exit the vehicle. Of course she hadn't intended to listen to them anyway. She crouched on top of the car, dressed in a pair of shorts and a tank top that showed a great deal of her skin; leaopard spots were faint on her fur-less skin though her ears and the fur on her legs was covered in the soft grey and black fur. Her left ear twitched while her gaze followed straight toward the others who had already exited their vehicles. Her eyes were the colour of snow, with pupils as black as coal, slit down the center that watched intently, memorizing every little detail she could find. Silver looked almost like a human, save for the ears and below her knees; under her knees her legs were covered in fur, soft and warm, spreading down to leopards feet that clawed at the black paint of the roof beneath her. She could smell plenty of other animals, mostly predators and watched as a reptilian girl was escorted out of the truck she'd been travelling in and kept somewhat away from the rest of the group. Planting her hands on the roof she flipped off of the car , through the air and landing in front of the one who had greeted them at the door. She regarded him with feline intelligence and predatory curiosity without a single word.

Kara narrowed her eyes at Jerric’s words. So he was in league with the men that captured them, or at least agreed with them enough to try and help. The tail squad next to her seemed to be happy enough to be there as well, which meant she was the only one who didn’t want to be caged like an animal. Well, her and the big… lizard… thing scowling at the world in general. She didn’t particularly feel like trying to buddy him up, which left her with at least making an effort to fit in.

As much as she didn’t like the situation, Jerric was right on one account: she couldn’t change her situation, and she was planning to make the best of it. Acting out would only draw attention to her. She might have a bit of a temper at times, but she knew how to be patient when she had to.

With a small sigh, she pulled back her hood and made an attempt at an apologetic smile. She felt naked with her ears on display like that, but it wasn’t like she stuck out here.

“You’re right… I’m just a bit shaken from all this I guess. My name is Kara, nice to meet you guys.” A couple of years she would have balked at a display like this, but she had learned that being underestimated was her secret superpower. Disregarding her fuzzy ears, she had soft features and big eyes that always made her look younger than she was and she’d learned to use that to her advantage.

She'd heard another car arrive, and from the corner of her eye she could see a blur of movement. Her eyesight might not be all that great, but she'd always been able to catch even the slightest bit of movement. Still, she made a show of startling when a woman landed beside her, even going so far as to take a small step away from her.

"Oh, hi to you too I guess," she said, even as the woman straight-up ignored her to look at Jerric. She could figure out later if any of them would be up for an alliance of sorts, but for now she wasn't going to show what she was capable off.

"See? There we go." He answered simply to the girl with a large smile. "We can all be civil here."

Jerric most likely would have commented to the feline girl in front of him had it not been for the other new arrival: the reptile. He had no clue what had happened, but now the guards escorting her all had drawn their weapons in a hostile stance, keeping them trained on the poor girl as if her animal instincts would take over her at any second and cause her to lash out in toxic fury. Of anything he had seen, this had bothered Jerric the most of all, and he knew he had to stop this display of unnecessary hostile tension. He immediately held up his lumbering arms as he walked over to the group surrounding the girl, placing himself between her and the weapons which were trained upon her. "Hey, hey, hey! There's no need for the weapons alright? She's doing fine, she's not gonna hurt anyone..." He promised slowly, the guards all looking between themselves nervously. "She attacked one of the guards." One answered simply before Jerric sighed. "Well I'm sure she's sorry, either way just let me handle her. I'll be fine." The guards seemed released at this and all set down their weapons, not because they thought that the threat was neutralized but that if the threat did turn out to be dangerous it would be a hybrid in the line of fire, not a human. "See? We can all be friends here." Jerric promised before turning back to the reptilian girl behind him. "Why don't you come join us yeah? We're about to take a nice tour."

The woman had watched as the boy walked away from her, toward the girl who had been pulled aside from the rest of them in case she attacked anyone else there. Her eyes followed silently, watching as the guards put down their weapons and waited for the sloth male to take away the girl who had already seriously injured someone here at the manor. It didn't look as if it bothered her at all to be ignored by the male; her purpose in doing so had been to assess threat levels of those who had arrived here this morning as well. As far as she had seen the two reptiles were the biggest threats; though the girl mainly because she knew what kind of snake she was. King cobra poison killed within the hour normally, enhanced she could only assume it was like acid on non-living things. She turned her gaze to the girl beside her, identifying her mutation without much effort at all and adding her to the list of those she had seen already. "Good morning." She replied to the girls awkward hello, though she assumed it would have been much too late to even attempt a conversation after making the poor girl wait almost ten minutes before she'd said anything to her at all. Standing straight she tucked her feet together and looked around again, though her body was clearly turned toward the small girl who she towered above in height. The woman was tall, lithe and obviously strong. Her thighs were clearly more muscle then fat though a layer of softness was added to them and her breasts settled neatly inside the bra beneath her tank top, a neat B-cup that fit her body type quite nicely as well. "Do you always try to look harmless?" She asked out of nowhere, not even looking at her as she bounced on the pads of her feet slightly, her claws pawing at the grass underfoot and she wanted the snow and stone again to climb and hunt on. She had liked the mountains much more than she had liked human cities and was hoping that this place at least got winter.

The girl watched the other boy walk up to her, his long arms giving him away as a sloth though she didn't want him to touch her; she was dangerous and she knew it. Clenching her jaw closed she listened while he spoke to the guards and got them to lower their weapons though she was well aware that they wouldn't hesitate to shoot her if they thought she was too much of a threat. "He touched me while I was sleeping." She said quietly again, not sure who would care to hear her say anything at all, though the sloth boy was smiling at her an awful lot. "I won't hurt you. I promise I'll try." She said to him, her gold eyes following his motion toward the manse, where the others were guarding as well.

Kara's attention was drawn away from the scene between Jerric and the snake-girl when the silver-haired woman suddenly spoke to her. She'd given up on the conversation minutes ago, but apparently the feline woman deigned to speak to her after all. At hearing the words a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth, showing just a hint of teeth.

"Only when there are so many strong people around," she said easily. She liked her. The woman was clearly powerful, arrogant and aggressive and Kara could appreciate that. With someone like her around, none of the guards would be particularly interested in her- at least as long as she kept her head down. It would be a shame if the cat-lady insisted on broadcasting Kara's attempts at subtlety all the time, but if that was the case she would just need to try and stay out of her way.

"Don't worry." Jerric answered with his same, small smile. "I know it was on accident and I know you won't hurt me." He promised before gently beginning to guide her away from the guards. "You don't have to worry about that I promise." Right now he simply wanted the hybrids to be at peace , or at least as much as they could. He needed them to stay relaxed enough not to lash out at each other. The hybrids had to stick together or this would end in disaster and he knew that well. "My names Jerric by the way, what's yours?"

The girl watched the smaller one go from the false innocence to what she was when others weren't around to see it and blinked, staring intently at her, placing her scent along with the others in her mind. If need be she could track down the little wolverine any time she needed to though Silver couldn't see much need to as of yet; she was too scared to hold her head up now, why would she raise it later? The leopard woman turned her gaze toward one of the others, the more threatening of them where mostly male. "They didn't take a lot of girls eh?" She stated, less of a question, more of an observation of a fact as the only girls were the girl in front of her, the cobra and herself. Her ear swiveled on her head and tuned into what the sloth boy was saying to the timid snake and a smirk spread across her otherwise expressionless face. She had been raised as an experiment, a weapon for the army when she came of age though it seemed as if they wouldn't happen until they came to get her in her mountain. Maybe it wouldn't be just prey and hikers she got to kill now.

@Raafling

---

The cobra girl looked passed him, her eyes finding the feline girl who was watching them right then though she didn't say anything much about it, only stared for a moment. Her golden gaze found the boy again, his smile mirrored on her face though hers was more hesitant and scared and she nodded quietly before he introduced himself to her. "Melisandre." She said her name after he did, her gaze dropping to the ground between them as her tail curled around herself, the tip curling around her waist and hiding inside of her clothes. "King Cobra." The girl was timid, shy and scared of the strangers, but she yawned after she spoke and shivered from the cool breeze that brushed over her own skin.

"Could be," Kara shrugged. "Or the other girls killed everyone sent after them." She didn't really care either way. Even though she got along better with the girls on the streets than the boys, she wasn't looking for friends here. The cat-lady had given her a thorough look-over, but then just as easily dismissed her again. Cats were solitary, right? Not the alley cats , of course, but the proper big ones. Did something like that carry over into a hybrid as well? Kara could play well enough with others, but she wasn't even sure what kind of animal she came from. It couldn't be a wolf, she reasoned, or the semi-wild dogs wouldn't have hated her as much as they did.

A slightly disturbing grin spread over the cat-lady's face and Kara mentally added a mark against forming an alliance with her. That was the same kind of grin Knives sometimes got, and she was terrifying. Kara wasn't an angel herself, and she'd messed people up pretty badly plenty of times, but never for fun.

With a nod of approval, the sloth by held up one of his oversized arms and nodded. "I can see that. I'm a sloth, nice to meet you." He had only been with this group for a few minutes and he could already feel the hostility... Everyone hated him for being on the humans side right now. There were everlasting pairs of eyes on him , watching him. His mind flashed back to what the General had said: "I need you to be our peace keeper son. It's your job to keep the Hybrids from getting anyone hurt." Of course he had meant he wanted Jerric to keep the hybrids from hurting a human. Maybe he was slow at times but he was anything but stupid. The General had also mentioned they chose him to be the mediator because if one of the hybrids were to say ... Lash out, they could count on him to defend himself. But Jerric had different plans in mind. He wanted to unite the Hybrids, yes, but not just so that they could avoid conflict with each other. Eventually he had hopes of escape. For now though, he had to play as the mediator between these different species, so he spoke loudly and addressed the whole crowd . "We're going to be heading inside now! There will be more time for introductions once we 're there !"

The woman watched the girl recoil slightly from her, she'd known that her own facial expressions were disturbing at times though she almost never used them regardless unless she had to for felt a sort of emotion pass through her. It was strange though she quite enjoyed when others were scared of her. "Possibly." She said quietly, listening as the sloth boy drew in a deep breath and his voice boomed out around them while he addressed the entire crowd of people who had been brought here from the beginning. "Women are traditionally more aggressive in the wild." Silver spoke while the boy looked around at everyone and flicked the end of her tail impatiently. Being the type to hate to wait she turned and bound up the steps toward the front door, clearing all of the stairs in a single leap to land on the front poach with ease. Looking out toward the ground the cat woman smirked again and waved before jumping up onto the porch roof and sitting down to wait.

---

Melisandre blinked quietly, her soft mocha skin reddening slightly on her cheeks as she reached out and shook his hand gently, careful not to grab on too hard and hurt him. "You won't be saying that much longer but I appreciate it." She replied just before he had turned to speak to the entire group and silently she allowed others to drift ahead of her while she backed away slightly, unsure of the crowd or even the men that were once part of the group. Her soft green hair tumbled around her shoulders and down her back in light waves and she reached once small hand back to pull her hair into a low twist to get it out of her way while she moved; the movement lifted up her clothing slightly, revealing another row of scales closer to her hips and part of her stomach as well, though her private area remained covered for the moment. When she lowered her hands again she adjusted the fabric, clearly embarrassed and shy around the people of the male sex.

Chief and his tribe were the last truck in, unloading as the others gathered for the tour. Chief was a big man able to stand 7 feet if he wanted but he slouched often making him just under 6 feet. The bearman was very hairy and wore no shoes as both his hands and feet were clawed and padded. His fanged teeth grinned at the sight of so many others like himself but the smile was gone when he saw the guardsmen watching them...armed to the teeth.

A grunt from chief and the group moved forward to join the others.

The truck Aiden was on pulled up and appeared behind the other trucks that arrived. "Am I late?" he shouted perched on top of the truck. The drive was quite long and it was the only place he felt comfortable. As the truck slowed he hopped off the truck and landed clumsily. Before he could gather with the others a guard grabbed his wrist and pulled him away forcefully. He then started to place what looked like metal thumbnails over his long sharp claws.
"Just a safety per-caution, We don't want you 'accidentally' cutting someone" he stated as he put the last cup over his pinky. "Thanks...I guess." He said feeling the tight cups get tighter around his feathery fingers, "they're a little tight though."
Seeing the rest of the other hybrids start to walk away, Aiden hurried over and joined group slipping in quietly. While hurrying he almost took double-take realizing the group consisted of other hybrids. It was the first time he saw another of his hybrid kind.
Some he saw were scary but others looked quite tame and close to human. It made Aiden ponder on how human he looked and how much of the DNA he even had.
Breaking away from his thoughts he listened to the sloth-type fellow speak.

Jacky silently listened to everyone speak, his reactions expressed through his fins. They drooped, perked up, went into their normal position, and et cetera as he decided not to jump in until he found himself walking next to Melisandre. "Hi! Are you okay?" he asked, an infectious grin plastered onto his face. "You're sorta lagging behind a bit."

The snake girl looked at the boy who had come up beside her and smiled, the grin not spreading to the quiet and shy girl. "I-I'm dangerous. . . " She said quietly, looking away from him again, careful not to let her tail touch hi, hoping that he wouldn't reach out. Her acidic venom would burn him if he scared her too much though he didn't look very scary or harmful at all really. "I'd rather say away so I don't hurt anyone."
