Hey guys, sorry for the radio silence this last couple of days. Been a bit distracted with a few things, one which is of particular importance. This is the fact that, tomorrow, I'll be leaving on vacation on a trip to another continent. This means that, while I will be carrying my tablet with me and have acces to Internet, I'll be busy most of the day and probably won't have either the time nor the strength to write a post by the end of the day but, nonetheless, I'll try and keep up with what's going on. The trip will be about 6 weeks in length so that'll be my period of inactivity. My apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.

Guess who has been hard at work for the past few hours? This guy.

So, since the Guild likes to go down a lot, and Guildfall taught us that it can go down for quite a long time, I've taken it upon myself to archive Fruits of Contention. I've started a Gmail account specifically for the job, and the account's Google Drive serves as this roleplay's "library".

So far I've archived the raw text of: everyone's characters; the OPs of the IC, OOC, and Character tabs; the World Information post; the character sheet and character-building references(equipment limitations, skills and weaknesses, and guidelines); the summary, and the first two pages of IC posts(forty posts in total...was not the most exciting thing in the world). I'm also saving snapshots of the IC pages through the use of archive.is, just so we have both the raw version and the final product of each post.

For now I'm going to put archiving the OOC on the backburner, because that's 4k+ posts and lolfuckthatshit.

Consider this my(very) belated birthday present to all of you guys and Fruits of Contention.

I'm still here btw, but just to note some changes to my general schedule.

I work 5:00pm to 12:30 am pst monday, tuesday, wednesday, generally get thursday and friday off, then work 10am to 6:30pm pst saturday then the same time every other sunday.

Aka, while most people will be writing in the afternoon, I'm a nightshifter generally and thus will respond later.

Commendable effort, though Mahz did implement an automated backup system after Guildfall to prevent the loss of all data in the future. He has been made aware of the current sporadic periods of downtime and is monitoring the situation.

Still, with something as monumental and ambitious as this RP, I fully support the "better safe than sorry" method.

Hope Dax's position in the doc is A-OK. I figured him maybe being out in the woods but near enough to see the commotion and maybe do a flanking attack was accurate since he wasn't present in anyone else's social posts. That and his character needs time to himself or he'll get agitated, as per weakness. @Leidenschaft

I've also been backing up this RP on the Wayback Machine since early 2016. However, more options is always a good thing.
