I knew I shouldn't have asked if Ria is the only Uchiha kunoichi with a sharingan.

I should note, Mariko has no Sharingan.
Too many Uchiha, gonna need an Itachi to take care of shit (except, he necks himself too, ensuring I never have to grade an Uchiha again with the clan now exterminated ;))

Why do you think I'm making one bby? :^))
Okay, working on this one for real. Placing it up so I don't lose it on my wonky PC.

Still don't forgive her for Nanking.
Chimamire, Shirayuri

Returning to @Buddha.

How long had it been since she first walked these streets? A silly question, all things considered. It had been four long years since Shirayuri was brought to Konoha on the backs of its military. Four long years since she was finally thrust into the world she was bred for. Yet, for all those years, for all the blood she shed in the name of the Leaf, she still felt so foreign. Even now, moving with the crowds through busy market streets, surrounded by hundreds of civilians and shinobi alike moving to and from on the daily lunch rush, she felt isolated. She wore the head band, did the missions, but these were not her people. Not the clan she was born into, nor the parents she swore loyalty and devotion towards. Strangers who looked upon her with just as much confusion as she did them, beneath their false empathy. It was irritating.

So was spring, now that she thought of it. With the thaw of winter came rapid peace. Nations had to rebuild, play nice after more than a decade of constant warfare. It was a brutal time, but it was simpler. No need to question the intentions of your peers. No time to contemplate your life. Track that rabbit, fend off those bandits, gut that merchant for the rice in his cellar. There was always so much to do, so much to strive for in those days. All for a single, definitive goal.

Survive.

The world was quick to resume 'normality', a normality unheard of since she was barely old enough to toddle at her father's side. To beam at those small glimpses of pride on his face when she conjured a boney spur from her body. Yet as the world shifted to enjoy the warm kiss of sun upon their cheeks and the fragrant waft of a blooming field, she was left behind. Unable to transition. Lost.

Walking off to have a piss wasn't supposed to end in a personal crisis. But, Uragiri would understand. If he didn't... fuck him. Guard duty was droll anyway, and she was hungry. How many nights had she... had all of them, spent with the pangs of cruel hunger knotting their guts? How many days spent running on the fumes of a meal eaten a week beforehand? No reasonable mind could blame her for wishing to never feel that want again. Not when there was food aplenty, just waiting to be gobbled down. The scent of frying meat hit Shirayuri's nose as she stalked about the winding web of street vendors and small shops. A smell which immediately caused her stomach to rumble in need. How long had it been since she had seafood?

The satisfying crunch of a well fried fish skewer did well in heightening morale for the exiled Kaguya. As did the oily, salty flesh dancing along her tongue as she thoughtfully chewed each steaming bite before swallowing. However pissy her black-eyed companion would be for her bathroom break resulting in a half hour food grab would be well worth it. Approaching the gate she was ordered to stand vigil over, the poor lass was nearly run down by a distraught merchant on the approach back. Foolish man had nearly caused her to fumble the waxy paper bag holding her remaining skewers. However, balance and sharp reflexes won her the day. If only her agility would assist in ignoring the droning sound which hit her only moments later.

“Oi! Where the hell were you? Some guy just came by transporting illegal goods, and I could've used your damn help!

An annoying shout from an annoying 'comrade'. From the day she set eyes upon this malformed male during the hastily constructed post-war Chunin exams, she had disliked him. She had no particular reason at the time, not having spoken more than a handful of words long since forgotten to him, but he had always grated on her nerves. This little outing only confirmed she was justified in her initial judgement. Another bite ripping away the last edible bits of the poor aquatic animal on her wooden stick was made as she finally reached conversing range with Sakana. Mouth full of scales, flesh and tiny bones alike, she murmured a simple, non-committal phrase in response to his barking.

"Lunch."

Without missing a beat, she assumed her position at the small entrance's frame as she had been over thirty minutes prior, blue spheres lazily focusing on the distant road winding off to Gods know where. Without so much as looking at the fishy-eyed Chunin whom she would be accompanying for the remaining daylight hours, she flicked her mostly empty skewer at him, launching the crispy head on its tip towards his chest and hopefully into his palms.

"Found your dad on my way there." She made quick to quip. A small grin would tug on her mostly melancholy features at that jab towards his appearance.

Her lunch wasn't the only roasted fish present.

Makes all the girls moist.
Not all Uchiha can unlock the Sharingan, either. It's wholly possible he's an Uchiha dominant crossbreed who simply falls into that group.
This might be an odd question, but was Water Release all of a sudden a lot stronger/more used during the long winter? My understanding of water release is more powerful in areas that naturally have water, lakes, rivers, beaches, misty places etc. and since snow is just frozen water... I'm sure my line of logic isn't all that obtuse here :P

I also imagine Fire Release became rather popular for a rather opposite reason

Snow ninja had a fucking field day.
