Erryk has often been described as a man with the body of a lion and the reflexes of a snake - a description which brings a smile to his lips every time he hears it. He has the pale skin of a Stony Dornishman, and the bright blonde hair and blue eyes that the Yronwoods are famous throughout Dorne for possessing.
His shoulders are neither broad nor slender, but his upper body is certainly muscular - a result of a near-lifetime of wielding a bow. Despite not having seen his home, Yronwood Castle, in far too long of a time for his liking, he still wears his family’s crest proudly, and even sports the light Dornish armour made for their horse archers, from leather and metal disks.
Personality: Like many Dornishmen, Erryk is hot-blooded, moody and impulsive. He has a sexual appetite that far surpasses even that of many Dornishmen’s, and one of his dreams is to bed a woman - and a man - from every corner of the globe. He's still fiercely loyal to the ideology that his deceased father had possessed: the dream of a Dorne ruled from Castle Yronwood, rather than Sunspear - and a Dorne free of the influence of Northerners. However, as a result of the Yronwood's backing of House Blackfyre in the Rebellion - and, by extension, their revolt against the Martell's authority - Erryk was forced to flee across the Narrow Sea, and banded together with Bittersteel and numerous other Exiles to create the Golden Company: doing so more out of a feeling of necessity than loyalty to Daemon Blackfyre.
As a result of his being trapped across the Narrow Sea, and the knowledge that most of his family were more than likely dead, Erryk Yronwood gradually became more hopeless - and, as a result and more indulgent in wine and women - and, as the years passed, earned himself a reputation as one of the Golden Company's greatest debaucherers. He has hardly any shame these days, and is open about his sexual exploits - a rare and strange trait, for the usually reserved and disciplined Yronwoods. Despite his reputation for drinking and fucking his way through every bit of gold that he receives from Aegor Rivers, Erryk is a renowned fighter - and fights fiercly for the Golden Company, out of respect for its leader: the 'Bitter Bastard', as he calls Aegor, the man having earned Erryk's respect: even if he did hail from the other side of the Red Mountains.
Although he has mostly lost all hope in any chance of one day returning to Castle Yronwood and claiming his birthright, it is still Erryk's greatest dream: and he would quickly put aside his new addictions (in the form of wine, men and women) and focus the entirety of his being on returning to Westeros and conquering Dorne, should the opportunity present itself to him.

As well as his reading and mathematics lessons every day, from the age of four Erryk was trained by his older brother of thirteen years what it meant to be a Yronwood: he taught him how to swing a sword, to string and fire a bow: and how to instill fear, respect and loyalty into the hearts of men over whom he ruled.
It was found, by the time that he was ten, that Erryk had a knack for riding - and seemed to be extraordinarily gifted with a bow. He was far superior to his brother when it came to marksmanship, whether it be on a horse’s back or with both feet planted firmly upon the ground. His father was extremely proud of his son’s new skill, and would talk about it to whoever would listen. Erryk participated in several marksmanship tournaments throughout Dorne, and almost always came first, second or third - giving his father even more bragging rights.
By the time Erryk was thirteen, he was almost a man: muscular, bearded, intelligent and witty. His father decided it was time that he truly became a man, and had Erryk’s brother arrange for a woman to take his second son’s virginity. The night was one of the best in Erryk’s life - and, even though he knew the woman was being paid, he was extremely proud of himself the next day. He soon developed a large appetite for women, and spent every moment of spare time that he had chasing after the servants and minor noblewomen who attended his father’s court in Castle Yronwood.
When the tensions that led to the Blackfyre Rebellion began to heighten, Erryk’s father announced that House Yronwood - and many other Northern Houses, loyal to The Bloodroyal - would not be fighting alongside House Martell in support of House Targaryen, but would declare their loyalties with the Blackfyre Rebels. Although the Rebels wanted to do away with a Dornish influence at court, Erryk’s Lord Father thought that they would be an excellent tool to do away with the Northerner’s influence in Dorne, and to dispose of House Martell and put House Yronwood in their place.
Erryk, considered man enough at fourteen, marched with his father, elder brother and uncles with the men that House Yronwood had mustered for the Blackfyre’s cause, and headed for the first time out of the Red Mountains and into the rest of Westeros. The fighting was fierce, and although the Yronwoods did not fully trust the Northerners, they fought with all of their might alongside them in the hope of defeating the Targaryens - and, by extension, the Martells.
Erryk’s older brother was slain by a knight from The Reach in the lead-up to the Battle of the Redgrass Field, a devastating blow to the morale of the Yronwood-led Dornish forces. However, they carried on, and fought alongside the Blackfyre Rebels until they began to rout as it became clear that they would not win against the superior, Targaryen-led force.
Erryk’s father urged for him to take as many men as he could and flee to the Free Cities, and to continue the fight for Yronwood superiority in Dorne from there. He knew that his father would surely be executed if left behind, but Erryk - ever an obedient son - did as his father demanded and fled over the Narrow Sea with a number of Dornish now-freeriders, and joined the Golden Company in support of Bittersteel - serving him in the hopes of one day returning to Dorne and reclaiming his rightful home, Castle Yronwood.

I’m just going to throw this out here: I am really looking for possible brainstorming sessions/co-ops with Edwina or Jhavek. For now Ruby’s helping along the Amelia/Court of Riverspring stuff as well as giving Byron Sarwyck something to do so if anybody else wants to figure out some “things” hit me up. Though I will be doing at least some posts with Jhavek at the tourney so we'd either have to springboard off that or wait for that to run its course.

House History
House Stark is one of the oldest of the great houses of Westeros and the central cultural force of those that descend from the first men that exist south of The Wall. In the times before the Targaryen occupation of Westeros the Starks were known for their heroes such as Bran ‘the Builder’ who forged Winterfell and the Wall, Jon Stark who pushed pirates out of the White Knife, Rickard Stark who brought The Neck into the realm, and Rodrik Stark who defeated the Ironborn thus bringing Bear Island into the realm.
The last “king” of the north was Torrhen Stark—the “king who knelt” to Aegon ‘the Conqueror’. Torrhen is seen in two different lights to this day in the north: on one hand he is depicted as a coward who gave the North away to foreign hands as he trembled before the sight of the Targaryen army—on the other he is depicted as the wisest of the Starks in history as he refused to allow men to die through a foolish action believing that bending the knee would save his people misery and tragedy. The North has since exhibited features of caution with their Andal cousins as their influence continues to frighten many due to the thought that Northmen culture would disappear much like the Children of the Forest did so it is with this that Northmen hold on to their cultural heritage and values very strongly. The scarcity of worship of the Old Gods within the entire realm as Andal favor squashes belief structure in the south does not help the situation any. This creates some division in the realm of Westeros few Northmen are knighted and few noble families look to marry into the nobles of The North. Outside of House Tully there has generally been few inter-regional marriages proposed let alone executed in the last three-hundred or so years.
Years after the Dance of Dragons where Northmen took side of the black over the green, war once again consumed the Starks. But this time it was not from Targaryen claims but rather those of the supposed freefolk that lived beyond the wall—dubbed wildlings by anyone south of the wall for hundreds of years due to their seemingly primitive and savage nature. A great warrior named Raymund ‘the Redbeard’ emerged from behind the Wall with a great mass of first men who bored crude iron weapons began to strike and pillage the far northern settlements overwhelming the Night’s Watch by surprise. There had not been a “King beyond the Wall” in a hundred years and now suddenly in the year of 179 there persisted a new one who held a brother-general by the name of “The Red Raven”. The Lord of Winterfell and his brother (William Stark and Artos Stark, respectively) would begin to fight off this dire threat until the wildling war came to a critical moment when William Stark found himself surrounded by Raymun and the Red Raven’s forces at Long Lake. The Battle of Long Lake consumed the life of William Stark, but as the situations began to lose hope—Stark reinforcements from the south led by Edvard Stark and Artos Stark finally arrived. Artos Stark would lose his life against Raymund but not before single-handedly taking him and the Red Raven on at the same time whilst Edvard’s forces made short work of the other wildling commanders. Unfortunately Artos would lose his life against the Red Raven, but not before Raymund lost his. The Red Raven retreated and the remaining forces in the North of wildling descent wandered aimlessly without leader for another two years until the North returned to normal.
After the war with Raymun ‘the Redbeard’ ended around 186, it left a hole in the Stark Dynasty. The title of the Lord of Winterfell went to the only surviving brother by the name of Beron Stark who had been more of an intellect than a warrior. It was with Beron the construction of Starkhaven at Long Lake, Blazefort at The Rills, and Ironwatch at the Flint Cliffs were approved. For the next ten years he would strive to make these forts palpable whilst he also began to start a process of rebuilding the North as the wildling war had taken many lives outside of his brothers’ own. However years later when they were finally on the right track something happened—something that concerned all of the realm. That was when the Blackfyre Rebellion ignited and House Stark was asked if they would contribute to either side like they had during the Dance of Dragons. Speculative, Beron Stark encouraged volunteer levies to go south and support the loyalist forces.
Forces from the Starks that went to support the crown were led by Edvard Stark, who whilst having no interest in which Targaryen overlord ruled in the south—decided it was time to show the strength and skill of the North. He left his closest friend and his wife’s brother, Markus Reed, in charge of Starkhaven in his absence. He took his eldest nephew’s son (Tedor), and the two sons who were of age (Vargen and Anton) with him to the south where they participated with a strong levy of Northmen on the Battle of the Redgrass Fields. The northmen arrived near the end of the battle and provided much relief for the Andal soldiers.
After the end of the rebellion, the name ‘Stark’ got a little more reputation and using such Beron Stark welcomed any southern lord to visit Winterfell with an open invitation. The years since then have emerged more threats such as a revolt in the east with Skagosi forces that Beron worries may be the doing of the Boltons whilst in the west the Ironborn ships have been spotted on more than one occasion. To top all of this off… nearly thirty years after Raymun ‘the Redbeard’ a new king has emerged beyond the wall and one who is supposedly stronger and more skilled than both Redbeard and the Red Raven combined…
Notable Locations
Outside of the traditional keeps and settlements of The North, there has been several new settlements built in the last thirty-to-forty years including:
Starkhaven – Founded by Edvard Stark in 186.. The purpose of Starkhaven is to be a fortifiable stronghold that could aid support to The Wall as well as nearby vassals. It is located on the western coast of Long Lake.
Blazefort– Founded by Beron Stark in 192 due to a suggestion by Maester Tywar. The purpose of Blazefort is to be a outpost to defend against potential Ironborn raids and invasion. It is located on the coast of The Rills overlooking the Blazewater Bay.

For the next ten years he would strive to make these forts palpable whilst he also began to start a process of rebuilding the North as the wildling war had taken many lives outside of his brothers’ own. However years later when they were finally on the right track something happened—something that concerned all of the realm. That was when the Blackfyre Rebellion ignited and House Stark was asked if they would contribute to either side like they had during the Dance of Dragons. Speculative, Beron Stark encouraged volunteer levies to go south and support the loyalist forces.
Forces from the Starks that went to support the crown were led by Edvard Stark, who whilst having no interest in which Targaryen overlord ruled in the south—decided it was time to show the strength and skill of the North. He left his closest friend and his wife’s brother, Markus Reed, in charge of Starkhaven in his absence. He took his eldest nephew’s son (Tedor), and the two sons who were of age (Vargen and Anton) with him to the south where they participated with a strong levy of Northmen on the Battle of the Redgrass Fields. The northmen arrived near the end of the battle and provided much relief for the Andal soldiers.
After the end of the rebellion, the name ‘Stark’ got a little more reputation and using such Beron Stark welcomed any southern lord to visit Winterfell with an open invitation. The years since then have emerged more threats such as a revolt in the east with Skagosi forces that Beron worries may be the doing of the Boltons whilst in the west the Ironborn ships have been spotted on more than one occasion. To top all of this off… nearly thirty years after Raymun ‘the Redbeard’ a new king has emerged beyond the wall and one who is supposedly stronger and more skilled than both Redbeard and the Red Raven combined…

If you’d ask a courtier about the three sons of Winterfell you would likely be told of William’s finesse as well as his speed, Artos’ strength that rivaled all within the realm, and Beron’s wisdom that reached beyond his years. As such Beron throughout his childhood was the least martially skilled of House Starks main branch. Tutored by a well-seasoned maestar in political history, world cultures, theology, and mythology—Beron had a wealth of experience throughout his childhood, one of which his uncle, Edvard Stark, sneered at due to his staunch position that the people of the North should remain independent of influence from the more southern peoples of Westeros. Beron’s father referred to Edvard as a “narrow-minded purist who could never outrun his bigoted xenophobia.” – something that Beron would take to thought many years later.
Despite his earnest pursuit of knowledge and understanding, Beron would still find the time to practice within martial pursuits—something that was ‘expected’ of him as he was a Stark and a Stark should always be prepared to defend himself from hostile invaders whether they were Ironborn, Wildlings, or any sort of threat. Owing himself to his duty as a Stark, Beron continued to adamantly train in swordplay and archery. Something that perhaps may not would surpass his brother, Artos, but would at least be admirable in some shape or form. At the age of fourteen his father introduced him to Viola Tallhart, the girl that would become his wife in a few years’ time. Beron nor Viola had no issues to their House’s intent to make them close as they initially bonded over talks of art and culture. Viola herself had been very interested in the folklore of The North since a small child and visiting Winterfell time after time became an enriching experience and she never had an issue with Beron as he had been nothing but kind, respectful, and appropriate. They would birth their first child several years later, they named him Edwyle after her father. As time would teeter on they would have five more children: Johanna (who was married into House Royce), Henrik, Elsa, Erik, and Viktor.
Beron was placed as regent of Winterfell in 183 when his two elder brothers organized the realm into pushing back the King Beyond the Wall and his invading wildlings—this of course would end horribly with the death of both William and Antos as they perished at Long Lake but not before taking the wildling king with them. It was told that William had been overwhelmed at Long Lake as he held off the wildling forces just long enough for Antos’ forces to arrive. William lost his life just moments before Antos’ regiment arrived. The forces led by Antos would then tear the wildlings apart as the King Beyond the Wall’s brother retreated as his brother was cut down despite dealing a fatal injury to Antos Stark in the process. With Beron’s father’s death roughly five years prior this left Winterfell in the hands of Beron, a surprising turn of events. Beron’s uncle once again campaigned that Beron was too much influenced by foreign cultures and books to lead Winterfell as a strong lord. Despite this Edvard Stark respected Beron’s rightful inheritance and wouldn’t dishonor himself by forcing a civil war after too many lives had been lost already. Edvard left Winterfell to the place that would become known as Starkhaven.

Edvard was actually encouraged to participate in a tourney at King’s Landing during these formative years which he declined as he knew they’d expect him to convert to foreign religion—it was tempting to show how weak the non-Northmen were. Edvard described his wife once as a “sloppy warrior, though unrelenting in her appetite”; to call Edvard and Rebekka a warrior pedigree isn’t correct but they did spawn strong children who inherited their will and affinity for combat. Throughout her life she bore six children: Anton, Jakob, Anja (married into House Flint), Vargen, Dunkan, and Lena.
By the time of the Battle at Long Lake, Edvard saw two nephews he admired taken to death by wildling hands of which he then realized how truly dangerous they were. The “freefolk” were not unskilled combatants and when organized orchestrated a threat to not just the North but all of Westeros. After taking his nephews bodies back to Winterfell he spoke with the then lord of Winterfell, Beron Stark, about building another stronghold. He would build this stronghold on the site of the battle at Long Lake and name it Starkhaven. It grew more than the other two strongholds built during this time (Blazefort, Ironwatch) and it only continues to grow. To this day Edvard sits at Starkhaven with his family as he hears of a new King beyond the Wall—one that devours life like a plague of locusts. House History:
House Hightower's history stretches back to before the formation of the Seven Kingdoms. Already a seat of wealth and power, Hightower guarded its lands against outside invasion but were shrewd rulers, able to see the turning of the tide. It was this that brought them to ally themselves with the newcomers when the Andals came to Westoros, allowing them to keep their wealth and lands. Likewise, they followed suite and pledged their fealty to House Gardner when the House created the Kingdom of The Reach. They served their new liege lords with honor and tenacity, but as ever, they could read the writing on the wall when Aegon the Conqueror and his dragons invaded Westoros. Heeding the words of the High Septon, the lord of House Hightower did not march to the Fields of Fire with the King of the Reach who was slain by the Targaryens, And when Aegon eventually laid his sights upon Oldtown and Hightower, he found the gates open and it's people willing subjects and granted them mercy. Once again Hightower had played the right hand, once more they were allowed to retain their wealth and lands as a new House, the Tyrells, was raised to Lord Protector of The Reach.
During the Dance of Dragons, Hightower sided with the greens over the blacks, in no small part due to then king Aegon II being the son of a Hightower maiden, with her father serving as the Kings hand. However, Hightower sustained substantial losses during the civil war, in part because several of the houses that had pledged to them turned and went over to the other side.
When the Blackfyre rebellion began, Janos saw his brother join cause with the rebels. Janos and his Lord Father Abelar Hightower joined with the royalists and saw the rebellion ended, but even so, years later Janos fears the wroth of the Mad Lord Leos Tyrell should he believe House Hightower's loyalty waning.

Personality: Janos is and has been the head of House Hightower for the past 18 years, since his father passed on. He was raised as would befit a noble of his station. Early on, he learned the ways of the sword and court, but more so he embraced his intelligence. Growing so close to Oldtown and the Citadel provided young Janos with a plethora of tutors and teachers along with his family's own Maesters. By the time he ascended to Lordship, Janos was as educated as most of the Citadels Acolytes. More than anything however, his Lord father had instilled in him from a young age that honor was everything. Everything that separated a Lord from the common folk. Life, however, thought otherwise otherwise. Life taught that even Lords were but men, and prey to the pitfalls all men face. The birth and his subsequent acceptance and adoption of his twin bastards taught him as much.
He is a warm man, slow to anger but quick to judge and not one to suffer fools lightly. He has as sharp wit and a tongue sharper still. He loves his family and they are his first concern, along with the well being of his House, its Bannermen and their subjects. He is an even ruler, just and fair, but knowledgeable as he is of the laws and treatises of the Seven Kingdoms, he can't help but acknowledge the flaws in them.
Bio: Janos was born the eldest of three brothers. He, Leos and Damon grew side by side in the Hightower as the House faced its stern trials. The wars with the Dornish in particular. When peace was made and eventually mended through marriage, Dorne came under the demesne of the Iron Throne, the Realm was once again at peace, save for the occasional pirate raids on the coast. It was in this interlude of peace that Janos had become a man grown, and so began travelling with his Lord father Abelar Hightower, seeing to the matters of court and the high society. It was on such an outing that he'd attended a Tourney hosted in Oldtown. He was bested in his third tilt but found a Roxton maid calling upon him afterwards. So began their brief but fiery courtship
When Janos' Lord father became aware of them, it was too late; the bastards had already been born. Janos intended to marry her before the seven, but Abelar refused and threatened disinheritance. No son of Hightower would wed beneath them. "Honor," he'd said, " is more important than love, dignity, or a bastard." Janos had said nothing, but as he took the twins from their mother to be raised in the Hightower, he couldn't help but wonder if Two bastards were more important than honor. Though seven years later, Janos was wed to Jeyne Oakheart and his first true-born son, Abelar, was born, but his father never forgave him for bringing the twins to Hightower.
He was wroth but spoke no more on the matter- or of the twins until the day he died. His last words were "The Bastards will never rule." Most assumed he spoke of Prince Daemon and Bittersteel, but Janos knew the words were for him. Their father had lived his life in the shadow of the Dance of Dragons, watching. Waiting for the day the land would divide once more. And so he'd taught his sons.
They were told that one day, another Rebellion would rise. Abelar Hightower was but a boy, not yet a man grown when his Lord Father Ormund Hightower rode for the fateful battle of Tumbleton where he was slain by the Winter Wolves. The fact that he had never known his father saddened him as a boy, but made the young man strive to live up to his House's legacy.
More so, it made the young Lord very guarded against betrayal. So Abelar had ensured that his progeny would be prepared for the day another pretender would try to rise up and challenge for the Iron Throne.
So the boys grew with the best training and tutorage available from Oldtown. The studied with the Maesters of the Citadel and trained in the martial arts under the seasoned veterans of the Dance of Dragons. And so it went, with Abelar keeping a close eye on the political stability of the realm while his sons prepared for the inevitable. Through the wars with Dorne, and the subsequent overthrow of Targaryen rule in Dorne, he never lost sight or waivered from what he'd perceived to be the greatest threat to the Realm. And so it came.
However, perhaps he had forgotten the lessons of Reach lords who swore for the Blacks so many years ago, or maybe chose not to look too closely at his own family, but when the blades where drawn, Leos and Damon had gathered what men they could from their holdings and joined their cause with Lord Gormon Peake. With a weary heart, Janos had called his banners and set off to slay his brothers and kinsmen.
At the wars end, Damon had been slain, and Leos was shipped off to the wall after taking the Black. Janos had been the Lord of Hightower for but five short years and already succeeded in seeing his closest kin slain as well as by his own hand. But the Realm was secure, at long last. In the decade that passed since the Blackfyre rebellion was quelled upon the Redgrass Field, Janos worked to pass on the teachings of his father, to be always prepared, sharp of blade as well as wit for the day the Realm would split again.

Appearance:
Kyle is an intimidating figure, standing at almost six feet tall with a broad chest and a fighter's physique. He has become moreso since the end of the Blackfyre rebellion, where he'd lost his left eye. He wears an eye patch and is often seen with a shaggy mane and rough beard.
Kennos, on the other hand shares his brother's stature, but is more sinewy and slender than his brother. His well kempt, his face bare and his hair short and neat.
Personalities: The Tower Twins as they're oft called, are identical physically, but that is roughly where their similarities end. Though both were educated and tutored Kennos took more after their Lord father, becoming studious and learned whereas Kyle aspired to become a knight and pursued martial prowess. As they grew and their father married, they quickly learned the harsh realities of being a noble bastard at court despite their father's fondness for them. But the Tower Twins always relied on and supported one another and where you found one, the other was never far. In their youth they were mischievous and possessing their father's wits, making their oft elaborate japes a frequent occurrence within the walls of Hightower and Oldtown until their father ordered an end to it.
Beneath this playful mask however, Kennos is cunning, with a mind for political machination and subtlety, and Kyle has made a name for himself as a swordsman of some talent. While Kennos possesses his father's even temperament, Kyle can be rash and unpredictable, prone to returning the veiled insults oft hurled at himself and his twin with harsh words and brash action, earning him the nickname 'The Black Tower'.
They love their Lord father and his noble children, but their half-brother Abelar has always been contemptuous and openly disdainful toward the twins, causing no small amount of friction within the House.
Bio: Kennos and Kyle were born in 176 A.C. in the Ring, but after their first nameday, Janos had brought them to Hightower to raise under his care. The twins found coldness and derision from their grandfather and his frigid wife along with the nobility entertained at the Hightower fostered scorn from the twins, but the love of their father along with the closeness and support of one another, they persevered. At 14 Kennos departed for the Citadel to begin his studies to become a Maester while Kyle continued his martial training. At 17 Kyle had been inducted as a lieutenant into Oldtown's City Watch. Two years later however, a raven came to the Hightower. Janos had been wounded fighting Dornish rebels in the south, and his host had been battered.
The twins left Oldtown then to rush to their father's side, Kyle trading his blue cloak for the arms of his family, and Kennos fleeing the Citadel with but four links of his chain forged, earning him the moniker 'Half-Chain'. Kyle was knighted and Kennos found he was an able outrider. At the war's end a year later, the Black Tower returned to the City Watch, but the Half-Chain found himself without purpose, unable to return to the Citadel to complete his studies. So instead, he found himself overseeing the flow of coin through the House. Taxes, tolls and tariffs became his demesne, and soon Kennos was riveted deep within the world of trade within Oldtown. He invested the House's money wisely but soon saw the coin hidden within the merchants themselves. It was not long before Kennos had acquired watchers, spies and informants always ready to get the get what you wanted for enough coin. It soon came that Kennos had become a master of whispers of sorts to the myriad of traders and merchants that flocked to Oldtown, always eager to trade secrets for gold.

Personality: AbelarHightower, heir apparent to the seat of Hightower hasn't changed much in the past decade. Even as a child he was as stern and immoveable as the tower emblazoned on his family's crest. People took to calling him the Little Lord for the cold indifference he payed everyone, even his family. He could be described as polite and courtly at the best of times, but never warm or amicable. Even his closest supporters and friends he keeps at a respectful distance. He was a man men could respect, but never love or feel ties other than duty for. He sees the world as a black and white affair, with right and wrong but no middle ground. Abelar is just, but his justice is harsh and stern, utterly lacking in sympathy or clemency. When once he caught his brother Kyle with a whore, he had the woman bound, disrobed save for a cloak emblazoned with a black tower and cast into the streets of Oldtown, parading his brother's shame for all to see. He did see that she was paid her due, and then some; Abelar affixed two golden dragons to her teats before casting her into the street. He sees his elder half-brothers as beneath him, and the affection shown them by his Lord father as a weakness of will and character. Mance prizes his honor above all things, in part due to the shame he feels his father brought upon his House, but mainly because honor was one more thing that separated him from the baseborn and lesser nobility.
