Shu was having fun in the air, feeling pretty happy now that he had Nimbus with him. He did wonder if he could take Nimbus out into space, then again maybe not considering it was a cloud and it would probably vanish away if it left the planet. He didn’t know how clouds worked or why he could sit on this particular one, but he did know that there were a lot more clouds here and they were completely different when compared to other planets. It was pretty nice and pleasant, but he still did wonder why such strange things existed and just what made up the world. He was pretty curious, but his intelligence never allowed him to think about these things and figure out what they all meant and how they happened; everything just happened for a reason, but whatever that reason he had no idea. Spinning around on his cloud, he squealed pretty happily, finding it most enjoyable that he was able to fly on his own for now if accepting a little help from Nimbus. He was sure that T’charrl would be able to manage flying, seeing as how he could feel worried when he was the only one using part of his body to fly while Takeshi was using energy and he was using a cloud. Spinning around happily, Shu soon corrected himself and looked back to Takeshi, giving him a smile, "I'll still ride Nimbus! Nimbus is my friend and is kind to help me", he spoke quickly, giving a little smile, "Why would I stop playing with Nimbus just because I can fly? That's not nice..."

T’charrl was a little worried that he wouldn’t be able to keep going like this over the water, knowing it was a lot more difficult going over water rather than land. With land, he had the warm air pushing him upwards, allowing him to fly a lot easier and be able to balance himself as well; however, going over water would be a lot more difficult because it is cold air. He would have to try extra hard to keep himself up, but he was sure he would be able to if the island wasn’t too far out. The moment they left land, he immediately felt the change and had to put in a lot more effort, his eyes staring downwards at it to make sure he wasn’t getting too low. It would probably be better to fly higher, but he really needed to concentrate and hopefully stop himself from dropping. Trying to push himself up higher, he pulled up his limbs for a moment, frowning as he stared down before slowly swaying in the air, “It’s…really deep water down there…”

"Eh... Fair enough buddy. You can definitely keep riding it!" Going as far as calling a cloud your friend though... Shu certainly did make friends with everything. Good for the little guy, it meant he'd never get lonely if he could get on well with something like a cloud... Or leaf. Must be nice making friends so easily. Smiling slightly amused Takeshi looked on ahead, spotting the Kame House just off in the distance, barely peaking over the horizon. They ought to be landing in a matter of moments now and then, if they were lucky, they could get right to training. Hopefully the old man wasn't busy with anything, maybe they ought to have called ahead. Nah, the hermit wasn't likely doing anything important knowing him, they'd most likely interrupt one of his weird work out sessions. Takeshi never did get why he was so fascinated with those work out tapes, it seemed like their training was much more efficient than some silly aerobics session.

Kame House was quickly coming into view, and good thing for it too. T'charrl didn't look like he was having at all a good time flying over the water, nor did he sound like it. "We're nearly there T'charrl, then you don't have to worry about going for a swim." A little macabre humor considering the guy might drown, Takeshi immediately gave an apologetic smile as he flushed at the realization. Gesturing for the others to follow he landed down on the white sandy beaches soundlessly, kicking up a bit of dust as he did so. It was weird being back here after so long, it felt like they had only been here just the other day. Almost two years... And it hadn't changed a bit. Already from where they stood on the shores he could hear a woman's voice, and it sounded pre-recorded and grainy. Narrowing his eyes Takeshi sighed, his eyebrow twitching slightly as he walked towards the door. "Ready to meet your esteemed teacher, T'charrl...?" he asked, looking back with a strained smile. Sighing softly he opened the door, stepping inside and moving to let the others in. Of course... There was the hermit, busy as ever.

"Haha, yeah! Swing those hips!" Roshi chimed, chuckling as he moved with the video. "One and two and one and two..." Ah, he loved this video, it was one of his favorites. That purple leotard looked really nice on the lady. Melinda, was it? Ah he couldn't even remember anymore, but who cares? She was pretty and he was having fun, that's all that mattered to him. Giving his arms a good stretch the old man exhaled, getting ready to lean back. "Alright... One... Two... Three!" Putting his hands on his hips the hermit leaned backwards, arching as he nearly completely inverted himself. While going down he could have sworn he saw someone, and as he stopped he focused his sight on the three at the door, having to squint slightly to make them out. Noticing who it was his eyes widened in shock and he stumbled, falling back onto his coffee table before rolling onto the ground with a yelp. Quickly gathering himself up Roshi shot to his feet, staring at the trio amazed, namely the two brothers. "You... You're alive?!" he said loudly, sounding rather excited and confused.

"And you're perverted, what else is new?" Takeshi retorted, smirking as his former master flushed a bit. Getting a little laugh out of that he nodded his head, folding his arms across his chest, "Yeah we're alive, and we're back for more training. If you're willing to teach us."

Roshi was pretty beside himself, not quite believing these kids had come back at last. It had been over a year and a half since he had last seen them, and when he had heard they had been captured he'd feared the worst. These two were very much alive though, no halo floating over their heads. And what's more they seem to be considerably stronger than before, he could just feel both Shu and Takeshi's strength permeating from them. Not to mention least of all this new companion of theirs, someone he had definitely not seen before. Taking a moment to gather his thoughts the hermit nodded his head, grabbing his remote and pausing the video. "Ah... Yes, I suppose. Come in kids, come in."

Shu really did enjoy having Nimbus around, even its noise it made was pretty cute and calming. He was certainly trying to think that flying by himself was the best thing for him, but of course he could never forget Nimbus and would bring it with him whenever he had to go somewhere without the fear of battle. If trouble would come while he was on Nimbus, he would tell Nimbus to leave and fly on his own. Peeking out over the side of Nimbus, he watched as Kame House slowly came into view finally, feeling pretty happy to be able to see his old Master again, “Ooh! There it is! I hope he’s home…” he spoke, watching it carefully, “Does he know how to fly…? How does he leave? Swimming?” That aspect really confused Shu, but he wasn’t going to let that bother him too much considering he was going to be able to see Roshi again and be able to train with a real Master; however, if Roshi didn’t know how to fly, then he had no idea who was supposed to teach him if Takeshi didn’t want to.

T’charrl was sure trying at this point, the weight of his body certainly beginning to feel more prominent as he tried to keep up. He was getting a little behind, but he was still trying to stay positive and hopefully make it to the island. Feeling the weight of himself for what he really was, he put in some extra force into flying when Takeshi spoke to him, trying to reassure him that everything was going to be just fine. Looking up at him with a smile, he really hoped he was going to make it and that his joking was not going to be reality. Without the warm air currents, trying to fly over water was pretty difficult when everything relied on his strength at this point. This was probably the reason he wasn’t seeing very many flying animals out here like he saw on land; it was just too difficult to keep in the air when it was so dense.

Finally coming in towards the island, Shu guided Nimbus down towards it, feeling pretty happy that he was going to see Roshi again. It was certainly a long time since he was here and he did miss it, but he also remembered why he needed to be there. He needed to get better at Ki control so he could blast the bad guys, he also needed to fly by himself without Takeshi having to worry about him. Looking to Takeshi quickly, he smiled as he came in for a landing, hoping T’charrl was going to be just as good. He was still there, at least, but definitely struggling by the looks of it. Landing down on the beach, he jumped off Nimbus and let out a sigh, looking to T’charrl quickly only to see him fall on the sand rather clumsily onto his front. Tilting his head, he bounced around to T’charrl, staring at him curiously, “Are you okay, Friend T’charrl?” he asked him, bending down a little.

T’charrl had tried to land on his feet, but his wings didn’t give him a break and his weight practically snapped his knees to the side and he fell forward. Pushing slightly, he gradually crawled back up to his feet, letting out a sigh, “I-I’m okay…thank you…” That was pretty awkward and somewhat scary, seeing as how he could have easily drowned. He was already a big enough fella; he didn’t need to be dragging Takeshi or Shu down with his weight. Slowly wiping down his front, he stared at the house curiously, wondering why someone would live all the way out here. Maybe the people here were pretty good at swimming too, especially when he didn’t see anything that would allow someone to fly like Takeshi told him. Giving his wings a gentle brush, he slowly moved towards the house, feeling a little nervous already. Frowning slightly, he moved behind Takeshi, still feeling pretty tired after that flight, “I, uhh…I hope I am”, he spoke calmly, giving a nervous smile, “I hope he’ll be alright with me being here…”

The sounds of the indoors wasn’t very easy to make out, T’charrl’s antennae moving around trying to understand what was going on. It was certainly an odd sounding voice, but as Takeshi opened the door he let out a gasp, moving back a little in surprise. Definitely hoping for the best, he slowly moved in after Shu, keeping his head lowered as he tried to squeeze in the door. It was certainly odd what he was hearing, the man seemed to be having some sort of workout and having a lot of fun with it. Frowning a little, he gasped when the man spotted them, banging his head on the roof. Shaking his head quickly, he backed off a little and gave it a slow rub, staring at the man curiously. It was certainly a strange sight, but what was even stranger was the man didn’t think they would have lived.

Shu was pretty bouncy, giving Roshi a quick wave as he bounced on his toes, “Hi Master Roshi! We are alive!” he spoke quickly, looking back to T’charrl, “We have friend! Friend T’charrl. He’s a big alien! He wants to learn too after we told him about you before we got here”. Feeling pretty happy, he didn’t think he would ever see this place again and smell the weird scent once more. He hoped Roshi was alright with this, his concern being he would reject them and tell them to move on. Moving forward a little, he gave T’charrl’s claws a quick pull, “Friend is a bit big, but he is very smart and really wants to learn a lot”.

Perhaps Takeshi had gotten a little... Overzealous calling Roshi esteemed. He'd given the hermit the benefit of the doubt they'd actually find him doing something fruitful, not drooling over some lady on the television. Cringing slightly when the old man toppled over he sighed, rubbing at his own head exasperatedly. Of course they were alive, wasn't that evident enough by their standing right in front of him? Unless they looked like ghosts, he wasn't sure, it had been a while since he bothered checking himself in a mirror. Looking back at Shu and T'charrl as they entered he waited almost for the hermit to freak out, expecting it at seeing the Kaesstrian. The old guy was pretty good about it, or he was just hiding it, either way there was no spastic response to seeing their friend. Hearing Roshi agree to train them once more Takeshi smiled, nodding his head gratefully. It wasn't that he didn't want to teach his brother and friend, but it made more sense to have someone who knew better do it. Roshi had trained tons of people, like Goku for instance, so who better to go to than him?

Roshi was pretty baffled by the sudden intrusion, he hadn't expected visitors, let alone these three. Shu and Takeshi he remembered sure, but it had been nearly two years since he had seen them. Now they had some alien with them as well, a really big one at that. Blinking at T'charrl from behind his glasses the hermit nodded his head, "You ain't kidding Shu... He's pretty big..." he mumbled. "But if he's smart and willing to learn then I don't care, I'd be happy to teach him. Though... Not right this instant."

"What...? Why not! You weren't exactly busy," Takeshi complained, scrutinizing Roshi. "We're only back for a week after all, we don't have time to wait around."

Roshi looked up at Takeshi sternly, a slight glare on his shades from the sun. Grabbing his walking stick he lifted it and smacked the boy on the head, sniffing indignantly. "Well I was busy, thank you very much. I was getting in my daily exercises before you boys came barging in! You didn't even give me a notice before hand, otherwise I'd have been ready." He shouldn't be so grumpy though, he was happy to see they were well and fine. Sighing softly the old man gave his beard a stroke, looking up at T'charrl curiously for a moment. This was definitely a new one, not even Goku had ever brought around someone like this. He was awfully curious about him, T'charrl according to Shu, he could sense Ki from the alien. Strange, another race that shared their same energy.

"If you're in a hurry then fine, I'll train you. But I don't know how much I can give you boys, I'd think you're well beyond anything I can offer." Humility was certainly one of Roshi's strong suits, he wasn't above admitting when he was outdone. These boys had been beyond him even in their first meeting, they just needed a little push in the right direction. Whatever they were here for now he couldn't fathom.

Takeshi smiled gratefully, nodding his head in appreciation to Roshi. "Thanks, Master Roshi. And we just need a little Ki training for these two, that's all," he explained, pointing to Shu and T'charrl. "Flight and using Ki attacks, shouldn't be too hard right?"

"Eh...? Ki training? Didn't we do that...?" Roshi mumbled, cocking his head to the side. Yes, he was certain he'd taught these two, along with that girl Yumi. Giving Takeshi a funny look he sighed, shrugging his shoulders. Ah well, they must have forgotten, silly kids. "Alright, alright. You three get outside, I'll be there in a minute to start the lessons. I hope you're ready to train!"

T’charrl certainly did hope he wasn’t intruding on what was possibly a nice little meeting between the three. They were together before and it certainly seemed to be an interesting little meeting, but at least it was still nice to know they had something to say that wasn’t completely focused on him. He was a little embarrassed that he was so big compared to everyone else, even if he couldn’t help that. Lowering down a little, he frowned slightly as he rubbed his head, giving a little nervous smile at the man. He certainly had a lot of facial hair, something he didn’t know this planet’s species could grow. It was pretty interesting to him, seeing as how the man was completely bare of any hair.

At the mention of being unable to train them just now, T’charrl couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed when he was supposed to be the one who would help. He did wonder why he didn’t want to do it just now; he didn’t look like he was doing anything interesting. Tilting his head a little at what the man seemed to be fixated on before he quickly looked up again upon hearing the all clear for training. Letting out a sigh of relief, he looked behind him, feeling a little concerned with how training might go. It was obviously not going to take place in the water, but he was pretty concerned that it might be pretty close to it. Looking back quickly, he gave a smile before he moved out of the house, squeezing through the door again and stumbling out to the front garden.

Shu was pretty happy to see Roshi, but he didn’t seem all that happy to see them. Tilting his head a little at his words, he was a little saddened when he seemed to dismiss the idea. Looking to Takeshi, he bounced on his toes a little with hope that he might be able to change the man’s mind, giving a little smile when he gave into their demands through their lack of time, “Yay! I can’t wait!” he bounced happily, “I didn’t get to train when I was away, so I’m really bad at everything…” He was definitely pretty excited, seeing how he would finally get to be good at something he had quite a lot of potential in, or so he had been told. Turning after T’charrl quickly, he pushed at him to help get him through the door before almost tumbling when he finally managed, giving his head a quick shake before he ran onto the beach, “Training! We get to train? Is he really okay with helping us?”

While T’charrl didn’t know how to answer Shu’s question, something else managed to distract him pretty quickly. Not to near him was a tree with what looked like large green fruit, “Uhhh, ooh…is this fruit…?” he asked, reaching up and picking one off the tree pretty easily despite the tree itself being pretty tall, “Is this something your kind eat?” He was pretty fascinated by all of these things he was learning, he still hadn’t really seen what people here hunted for and seeing something he might be able to guess its possible use over; besides, he could smell the traces of sugar in the strange fruit making him hope that he was right and that it wasn’t poisonous.

He didn't know why in the world he was agreeing to this, but Roshi had told the boys yes. Maybe he just felt inclined to help them, like he was the only way they could learn. No, that wasn't right. Watching as the two brothers and their friend filed back outside the old hermit smiled slightly, using his cane to reach back and shut off the television. Well darn it all, he was actually happy to see the kids again. It had been much too long since he'd really had visitors, aside from the usual, so it was nice to get some company. Plus he had been a little shabby as of late with his own training, so this was an excuse to go out and actually do something. Chuckling under his breath Roshi shuffled over into the kitchen, digging through it and grabbing a pitcher of iced tea and a few glasses, carefully juggling them as he headed for the door. Remembering rightly it took Shu a bit to get down any kind of Ki mastery, and that had been two years ago. If they were back for the same thing then he'd likely forgotten most of it, or as he put it was "really bad at everything." Hopefully with a few lessons they could get down basic control and they could be off, to wherever it was they'd be traveling next.

That had been relatively easy, convincing Roshi. They could have done without the hitting though, why did everyone always have to hit him? Pouting slightly as he nursed his head Takeshi watched Shu move about eagerly, quite clearly excited. "Hah... Of course he is. Master Roshi said he'd train us and he will." Lecherous though he may be the older boy was positive that the hermit was not a liar. If he agreed to do something then he would do it, no doubt about that. Perhaps a little reluctantly, but they would still get their training. Hearing T'charrl the Saiyan looked over to see what he was talking about, blinking at the coconut his friend was holding. Hurrying over Takeshi snatched it out of his friend's hands, chuckling softly as he nodded his head. "Uh, yeah, but not like this! It's awfully hard if you try eating like this, plus the rind tastes pretty nasty, Here, I'll show you how to eat them." Holding the coconut between both hands he brought it down on his knee, easily splitting it in two. Holding it at an angle to show T'charrl he then drank up the liquid inside, sighing happily at the refreshing taste, "You can drink what's inside of them, and then see this white, flaky stuff?" he asked, gesturing to the innards of the fruit, "You eat that. It's really good, try some."

"You kids eating all my coconuts...?" Roshi called, huffing as he walked across the sand in his flip-flops. "Those things take a while to grow, you know. Don't eat them all, otherwise I don't got any to make my Pina Coladas with!" Getting a blank look from the kids the hermit rolled his eyes, setting down his mug and glasses on the small table just beneath one of the coconut trees. "Never mind. As soon as you're done with your pre-training snacks we'll start." He would be instructing them, but no one had said much about him training as well. Now that he was out here the urge to fire off some Kamehamehas had quickly diminished, that folding chair looked awfully inviting, as did the ice tea. Smiling Roshi settled himself into the seat, pouring himself a glass of the tea and sipping at it lazily. "I'll just tell you boys what to do, how's that? I don't want to show you up or anything, eh he he he..."

T’charrl didn’t mean to get so distracted, but with Roshi saying he’d be a minute it still gave him time to wait and explore a little bit of all the curious things about this planet. He did want to try some of the native fruits and flowers, his species thrived on sugars and it was an important part of their diet. Finding interest in this strange fruit with the hope that it might be a sweet one, he stared at it curiously before Takeshi suddenly snatched it out of his hands, giving him a curious stare as to why he did that. Tilting his head slightly, he moved closer to him and watched as he proceeded to open up the strange fruit only to reveal that it wasn’t really one in the end. Tilting his head at it, he reached out to take half of the coconut only to gasp when Roshi called out to them.

Spinning around quickly, he stared at the strange man giving him a frown, looking quickly to the trees. He could probably help it flower if it took a while to produce its seeds, but even then he needed energy and even then he didn’t know what kind of energy these plants used to grow. Letting out a sigh, he reached over and grabbed hold of one of the coconut halves from Takeshi, “I’m sorry…uhh, Master Roshi…?” he muttered a little, still not feeling confident about speaking incase the man found his voice beyond the scouter annoying. He wasn’t full confident with his language skills yet so holding a conversation with the man was probably going to be difficult, especially when he had such a distinctive way of speaking. Giving the coconut a quick inspection, he soon tried to peel the fleshy innard away with his claw, eating it up quickly to not keep Roshi waiting. It certainly had a distinctive taste to it, but it was full of fat and not very sugary at all; still, however, he wasn’t disappointed with it. It was definitely tasty, hopefully giving him a good boost of energy to go with his training after that long flight.

Shu was certainly curious over the coconut, but his excitement rested with gaining control over his Ki and hoping Roshi would be able to help him regain that. Looking to Roshi, he bounced slightly on his toes before making a quick dash towards Roshi, bouncing around him, “Master Roshi, Master Roshi! I didn’t mean to forget how to do the things properly; I was locked away in a cage and it was a bad time”, he spoke quickly before sitting down beside him, “But I’m okay and I’m willing to try and train again, but I need help and I was hoping you would be able to help me…yes please? I’m sorry if you’re angry at me, but it was very hard to try and practice when I was in a cage…”

"Eh... It's fine T'charrl, I don't eat a lot of them anyways," Roshi said, waving a hand dismissively. Knowing the appetite of Saiyans he had more directed that at Shu and Takeshi. Were it made of edible material the hermit was certain his house would be eaten before long. Heck, a little bit of sauce and those two might just try it! Settling down in his chair he began to pour himself a glass of tea, jumping slightly and nearly spilling it when he was startled by Shu. Watching the boy circle around him Roshi frowned, not quite sure what he was going on about. "Caged up, eh...? That doesn't sound fun at all. Looks like you got away though." There was obviously a lot that he was missing, and something told him that it wasn't a subject he should be asking about. Nothing good could come out of being caged, he probably didn't need nor want to know the details anyways. Sipping at his beverage the hermit reclined in his seat, looking at Shu thoughtfully through his glasses. "Angry? I'm not angry with you kids, I was just surprised, didn't expect to be training anyone today," he remarked, pausing to raise his arms in a good stretch. "If you need training then you kids came to the right place though. I taught you once and I can do it again, that's for sure. Now, I'm sure you remember how my payments work," Roshi added, his glasses gleaming as he spoke, "Riiiiight?"

Facepalming Takeshi narrowed his eyes at Roshi, giving him a nasty stare to make him come off it. No way in heck were they going to get him a lady friend again, not in a million years. Besides, they didn't have time to be playing matchmaker right now, ever minute counted. Knowing the way the hermit operated though he moved over to the chair, leaning down and putting an arm around Roshi's shoulders before whispering, "Hey... Teach them now and I'll get you some new workout videos, how's that sound?" Now that looked like it did the trick, the old man was beaming within seconds. Deciding to egg it on he kept going, "I'll find some with some really pretty, young girls doing the instructing, how's that? All you need to do is teach these two how to channel and release their Ki." That worked better than expected, the old man was out of his seat and over at the beach in a heartbeat, stretching in preparation for the training. Smiling smugly Takeshi looked down at Shu, giving his head a small ruffling before pushing him towards the others gently. "Go on, he'll teach you. I'll be over here if you guys need help or anything." Training was fun, but this was a little too simplistic, he wouldn't get much out of it really.

"He he, alright boys, let's get to training!" Roshi said, rather energetic all of a sudden. With a big toothy grin he looked between Shu and T'charrl, wondering who might have more control over their Ki. Shu had learned but forgotten apparently, and the alien had no idea he would guess. Takeshi did say they just had to channel their energy, which hopefully meant they knew where it was and how to reach it by now. Right then, they were going to start with the very basics, channeling it. Coughing into a closed fist the hermit walked back and forth for a moment, studying each of his prospective students. Now how to best go about channeling? Well, perhaps they could work on both that and releasing Ki in one fell swoop. And he thought he had the perfect idea how. "Takeshi, two coconuts please!" he shouted, turning and holding out his hands as he caught the fruits. Smiling knowingly Roshi walked over to the two young warriors, handing them each a coconut. "We're going to mix things up a bit, got that? Instead of learning to fire off random blasts or shooting off like a rocket I want to make sure you can control Ki properly. And so, your first lesson..." he paused, pointing at the two coconuts, "Is to fill those with Ki without blowing them apart!"

That should be a good test of their control, it didn't take a ton of energy to rupture a coconut from the inside. A little explanation would probably be needed however, he couldn't well expect these two to go into this lesson blind. "To do this exercise you're going to need to both release and control your Ki at the same time! Since you two already know how to find your energy channeling it should be easy. Starting from your core you want to move it out. Imagine it like water, make it flow to other parts of your body and back. In this case, you're going to want to bring it to the palms of your hands and then release it. Assuming you know how to feel your own energy it should be easy to tell how much is inside, and how close the coconut is to bursting! Until you two manage to do this I'm not going to show you any other things, understood?"

Shu gave Roshi a smile after he spoke, staring at him curiously as if trying to see if he was going to get moving anytime soon. He hoped Roshi would show off what he taught them since Shu’s one was just too destructive and Takeshi had done enough to help them, but unfortunately it seemed that Roshi was more into sitting around and relaxing rather than showing off anything. Frowning a little, he looked to Takeshi in hope that he’d be able to get him moving. He was asking for some sort of payment, something Shu was generally pretty unfamiliar with from the last time. He knew he had asked to get a girl and they got Yumi, but he thought that was because he wanted to have a girl training with them to even out whatever thing people normally see in different types of person. Shu didn’t understand, but Takeshi seemed to have a quick fix.

Shu had no idea what workout videos were, he hadn’t even heard of such words put together or even one at all, but he was still going to go along with it and act as if it was a good thing seeing as how Roshi seemed to react positively to it too. Bouncing a little, he looked up to Takeshi with a smile, his hair being ruffled up, “I hope it goes well! I really do because I want to fight with you and not be all wobbly everywhere and bad at it”, he spoke quickly, trying to feel confident but he wasn’t really. He definitely had a few problems concerning confidence when it came to fighting, especially lately when everything was eventually driven out of proportion and became way too alien for him to handle. A lot of his confidence, or lack of, came from the fact that he had only an advantage in a few fights now, but his worries still stemmed from his problems he received while locked up and being unable to control when he goes that strange Oozaru form of his.

All while everything was being discussed, T’charrl was just finishing off eating the coconut. It was definitely pretty tasty and a nice boost of energy, if a little unusual. He didn’t really know what was being discussed or what Takeshi had agreed upon seeing as how he wasn’t fully familiar with their way of speaking. Keeping to himself for a little bit, he turned around when Roshi was suddenly active and willing to work with them, confusing T’charrl a little bit. Looking towards him quickly, he walked towards Roshi curiously as he seemed to contemplate on what to teach them only to give them a coconut each. Taking it slowly, he stared down at it, giving it a quick analysing before frowning at what was suggested, “Fill with Ki…? But I-uhhh, okay…” He didn’t even know how to channel Ki yet and was told to do so, making him feel a little confused to how he should be able to do this.

Feeling a little worried, T’charrl frowned as he tried to understand what Roshi was instructing them with. He barely ever saw water so imagine it flowing was a little curious to him, his eyes going to the ocean momentarily. It didn’t really flow like anything, more waved around and went in and out again. Looking back to the coconut, he gave a little nod as he just tried to figure it all out before suddenly yelping at the sound of something exploding. With a quick bounce he turned around, staring down at Shu who was on the floor after apparently causing his coconut to explode. That was hardly a good sign, seeing the little boy covered in bits of coconut and water from it. Deciding to try himself, he hoped for the best and instead managed to cause the coconut to sprout.

"You fight with me already buddy, you'll just be able to do more after this!" A lack of Ki had never stopped Shu from fighting before, he'd do it regardless. At least this way though he wouldn't be nearly blowing Takeshi or anyone else up on accident, and he could properly fly during combat. Piggybacking someone during a fight after all was pretty tricky. Having no part in the training right now the older boy stood by silently, folding his arms as he waited for the lessons to commence. When asked for coconuts he handed them over readily, not too sure where Roshi was going with all of it. Overhearing the lesson he cringed slightly, not exactly thinking it was a good plan to mash the two together. He could see where the hermit was coming from, they would have to be able to control how much energy they drew out too, but it was easier said than done for sure. He would think asking them to do something a little easier, yet maybe they'd surprise him and get it down. Or... Maybe not. It hardly took but a moment for Shu to use too much energy, popping the coconut and covering himself in bits and juices from the fruit. T'charrl... He made something grow from it? How the heck did that even work?

Roshi had barely turned around by the time Shu's coconut shattered, whipping back and looking at the young Saiyan surprised. "Heh... Well you've got plenty of energy, Shu! Gotta work on using too much though!" the hermit chided gently, looking then to T'charrl to see how he had done. Like Takeshi the old man was awfully confused seeing the plant having sprouted, his brow furrowing as he came over to inspect it. "Well I'll be damned... How did you do that...?" Poking and tugging at the leaves Roshi was surprised that the plant was secure and pretty well grown despite having literally appeared out of thin air. Weird... It was like it had been growing for weeks and yet it had been a matter of seconds. Taking the coconut from T'charrl he set it on the beach, giving it a final funny look as he rubbed at his beard. He never had a student who could grow plants before, this was going to be tricky. Maybe a different lesson would be in order. "Eh... Perhaps working on just channeling your Ki is a good idea. Don't want you blowing any more coconuts up... Ehehe... Or my house."

"Right... Well scrap that idea for now! We'll take it easier, no reason to rush after all!" Hopefully the boys didn't mind a little mind-numbingly slow training, but it was necessary so they could better control their powers. Taking the towel from around his neck Roshi tossed it over to Shu to clean himself up, folding his hands behind his back. "We'll try just focusing your energy in certain spots for now, how's that? Let's find out if you can direct your Ki to different points on your body." After all, every single use of Ki, whether it be flight, sensing, or something like a Kamehameha was all a result of carefully regulated, released energy. Chuckling under his breath Roshi lifted one hand, his palm facing up and his fingers slightly curled to make a cup. With a bit of effort he gathered Ki into the palm of his hand, forming a small orb of energy. "Ah... First things first, you boys try to direct your energy. I want you to start from the center like before and this time make it move to each point. Go from your chest to your legs, then to your arms, your head and back again. You'll need to be careful not to release it, the trick here is to know how to move it without expending any power." Letting the orb vanish the old man smiled, again getting a gleam on his sunglasses as he took a few cautionary steps to the side. "Start whenever you're ready!"

Shu didn’t mean to cause the coconut to explode, he had even tried to use as little energy as he could but ended up funnelling a bomb into it by accident. Slowly picking himself up from off the ground, he shook his head quickly before licking at his hands and arms. It didn’t really hurt too much, but the force did wind him a little bit and he was finding it a little difficult to get rid of the coconut water and the bits of it. Slowly getting back to his feet, he looked to T’charrl’s coconut and stared at the leaves sticking out of it, tilting his head curiously, “Ooohhh, little plant”, he squeaked only to back away again and shake himself. He didn’t mind getting dirty, but when he had a lot of hair now then getting sticky was the least comfortable thing he could experience.

T’charrl hadn’t meant for it to sprout like it did, still finding it hard to differentiate his own energy from Ki. Frowning a little, he quickly shook his head, “I-I didn’t mean to! I’m sorry”, he spoke quickly, letting out a sigh, “I don’t know how I did that, but it obviously wasn’t Ki, huh…” He was feeling pretty slow to learning the basics of Ki, only just managing to bring it forth once enough so they could feel it rather than see it. When Roshi took the coconut he quickly placed his hands behind his back, backing off a little before turning away from him. He felt pretty embarrassed, but at least Shu was finding good fun in getting covered in exploded coconut.

With both of them having effectively destroyed their training devices, Shu and T’charrl were left alone with little to train with other than probably moving onto something else until better control was met. T’charrl felt pretty worried that he’d fall behind while Shu was feeling concerned that he wouldn’t be able to control himself. Staring at Roshi, the two of them moved away from each other and was left trying to figure out how to do all of that. Shu was afraid of suddenly exploding his energy while T’charrl was afraid of using his other energy instead. Shu looked down at himself, hoping he might be able to do something with his energy; T’charrl, on the other hand, was just trying to find it again. Lowering his head a little, T’charrl tried to pull out his energy again. He managed to get the orb on his chest glowing again, but he was struggling to move it to other parts of his body that wasn’t his chest. With Shu, he still seemed to be trying to suss it out before getting his energy to his chest and then to his legs; however, the moment he got it to his legs he instead started to rise into the air, his arms waving around before he dropped onto his back. Shu was fair struggling with moving it around safely, putting way too much into it than he should had while T’charrl on the other hand couldn’t work out how to make it spread, looking like he was going through quite a mental workout.

Roshi had expected some difficulty, but this was a bit unexpected even then. Sprouting plants was not something he was used to seeing, not that quickly anyways. "Maybe it was Ki... It works differently for different people..." the old man mused, stroking at his beard again in thought. "Don't give up just yet boy. With enough hard work you'll get this sooner or later. It'll be tough, it is for everyone, but with effort anyone can master Ki." Heck, he'd taught dozens of students over the years, many of whom had not shown much potential and yet turned around and blew his socks off... In some cases literally. Goku had some real difficulty with his training too, years and years back, and look at how he had turned out. If that man could get the training right then so could these kids. Watching the two boys for a moment as he backed off they were now going to just channel energy, simple enough a task. Observing the two was like night in day, they couldn't be any more different if they tried. While Shu was expending far too much Ki T'charrl hardly seemed to be using any, he looked thoroughly frustrated. Sighing softly Roshi shook his head, this was going to take longer than he'd hoped. Shame, he was eager to get back to his videos.

"How about we split up the students, Master Roshi?" Takeshi suggested, coming over to join everyone. "It makes sense, one teacher to a student, they ought to get it quicker that way, yeah?"

"Hm... Yes, I suppose you're right. Not that I can't train them both myself mind you, but this way makes it easier for them!" Chuckling Roshi looked between the two boys, debating on whom to take before ultimately pointing at T'charrl. He was curious about the alien's ability to grow things, it wasn't a regular ability with Ki. Then again there were plenty of things well beyond him at this point, people had developed and discovered all sorts of techniques. "T'charrl, was it? You and I will train together, I'm certain we'll work out your difficulties in no time! So long as you agree to follow my regiment you'll succeed, I promise you that!"

Takeshi was pretty happy with that arrangement, it meant he got to train Shu. Going to his brother he leaned over the younger Saiyan, smirking as he reached down and poked his sibling's forehead again. "Blasted off again, huh Shu? At least we know you've got the energy to spare." Now that he thought about it none of them really had any idea what the kid's stamina was really like. He'd never been good with Ki, so he'd never expended a whole lot. Heck, for all they knew he might have more reserves than the rest of them, all the reason to refine his control. "Come on, upsie daisy..." he added, reaching down and grabbing Shu's hand before helping his sibling to his feet. Carefully brushing off the young Saiyan's back the older boy motioned for him to follow, heading to the other side of the beach for their training. If the little guy was going to be practicing with Ki it was in everyone's best interest they probably put a little distance between themselves. "You're getting the hang of it, but you've got to learn not to use so much," Takeshi began, holding up a finger and shaking his hand, closing his eyes as he spoke. "You can definitely move it around, that much I can see. But you need to learn not to rush it, otherwise you'll end up flying off. Or accidentally blowing me up."

T’charrl was a little saddened by his inability to concentrate on separate energies, especially when he had it before no problems. He couldn’t find a method to change how he’d use either of them, his mind pretty defeated when it came to these things. He did want to learn Ki and figure out how to differentiate the two, but it was proving awfully difficult when he was unable to concentrate for some reason. Staring at Shu, he let out a sigh before Takeshi suddenly came up with a suggestion. He didn’t know how he would feel about that, but maybe it was for the best when one was way too advanced for his own good and he was just crawling in the mud. Feeling a little behind the rest, he tapped his claws together and nodded at Roshi, frowning slightly, “I’m sorry…I-I did manage to get it earlier! I just seem to be having a hard time, is all”.

Shu was a little disorientated, sitting up and giving his head a quick rub before spotting Takeshi’s shoes, looking up at him curiously. That was pretty scary for a moment there, but luckily he stopped trying to use Ki the moment he took off into the air. Letting out a sigh, he looked up at Takeshi, shaking his head quickly and giving his forehead a rub, “I didn’t mean to, it was an accident”, he spoke quickly, taking a hold of Takeshi’s hand and pulling himself up, “I don’t want to go flying just yet!” Looking around at Takeshi when he gently dusted him down, he soon spun around and walked off with him, looking back to T’charrl and Roshi a second. He did hope it wasn’t going to take too long, even though he did like being on Earth he was still aware that his father was out there being generally pretty evil and what not. Letting out a sigh he looked back to Takeshi, giving him a little smile, tilting his head a bit, “But I try not to rush it, I mean…I’m just having trouble using so little of it; I am full of bouncy energy! I want to bounce everywhere, bounce bounce bounce…”

Training T'charrl, hm? That was no small task, even for someone as knowledgeable as Roshi. True, he'd taught plenty of people, but never an alien like this. Plus he had never taught a student who could make plants grow like that, it was a totally new take on what Ki was capable of. Perhaps it wasn't Ki, though then again that didn't make any sense. He could sense energy, the hermit would call it Ki, and yet... Hm, maybe there were two different energies within T'charrl? This was far too much to be contemplating so early in the day, he was just going to treat this as a normal lesson and see how things went from there. Coughing into a fist again the old man smiled up at the alien, shaking his head, "I'm sure you did, T'charrl! And you're going to get it again, with hard work and practice!" Some people had a natural affinity for Ki and others didn't, perhaps this boy was in the latter. No problem, Ki was something anyone could grasp with the proper training. "T'charrl, are you able to sense your own energy? I noticed you were having trouble before, did you ever get that step down?"

"I know you didn't do it on purpose, goofball." Takeshi teased gently, getting Shu to his feet. "And you won't go flying if you just be more careful. It's all about control Shu, and not using too much." No one doubted Shu could release Ki, he did it all the time, and by the loads. It was more whether he could dictate how much he expended, which up to this point had seemed like a pretty strong 'not'. That's what they were here for, and hopefully by the end of the week the issue would be no more. That largely depended on how he and Roshi taught these two, which in that regard he was fairly confident. Smiling amused as Shu shared his rather robust excitement Takeshi laughed lightly, folding his arms and raising an eyebrow. "Too much energy huh? Well we could always tire you out first, then you wouldn't have as much. Or we can just keep working on it." Cupping his chin thoughtfully he moved over to his brother, grabbing one of his arms and gently extending it outward. "Hold that right there..." he said, stepping away and in front of Shu, being a few meters off. "Now straighten out your hand like you're going to blast something, and focus on moving your Ki to your hand without shooting anything off. Not hitting me is more incentive to do it right, yeah?":Plus he ought to be fine even if he was hit, he could take a good blast or two. "How about it? Let's see if having a reason not to release energy helps."

T’charrl felt as if he was a little behind, but maybe it would be a lot better eventually when he was able to control the energy after finally getting it out. He definitely thought this man was a strange one, but maybe his strangeness was something related to his seclusion out on this island; maybe it had something to do with being too powerful for the rest of his kind to be around or maybe he just didn’t like being around other people. Wondering whether he liked him, he stared at him with a nervous smile, shifting his claws around worriedly as he tilted his head, “Umm…Master Roshi”, he muttered, giving a little bow, “I will try to work very hard to find it again, it is my goal to get stronger for my people”. He was certainly a little nervous, especially now that he was left alone with this man of seemingly great skill. Lowering his head a little, he looked away a moment, “I…can, but I don’t know what kind of energy I’m sensing, honestly”, he spoke calmly, letting out a sigh, “The energy I’ve grown up around is a little different to what Ki feels like, so I’m never sure. Maybe it is Ki? Takeshi never taught me how to feel out Ki”.

Shu was fairly excited to be learning again but he couldn’t help but let it blow out of proportions and get him all hyped up, his energy levels naturally pretty high as a result. Smiling away as he watched Takeshi, he bounced a little on his toes before he quickly shook his head, “Noooo I don’t want to get tired! It’s not bedtime and there’s no full moon”, he spoke quickly, feeling a little sad, “I’m just not very good at controlling my energy”. He was a little saddened by that, but he knew he definitely had a lot of energy in him. Looking to his arm when it was grabbed, he felt a little confused for a moment, tilting his head, “But what if I blast you really hard?” he asked up, moving his hand out in front of him, “I don’t want to hurt you…” He was not doing too well on that incentive, feeling as if he couldn’t even find the energy to move to his hand. He was a little worried that he wouldn’t be able to do anything just now, frowning a little when nothing was happening, “What am I supposed to be learning?”

"Eh...? Takeshi never showed you how to find it...?" Well now that was a little bit of an oversight. Then again Takeshi probably didn't know how to do that anyways, could hardly blame the kid for now knowing. Looking at T'charrl thoughtfully Roshi reached out, placing a hand just below the orb on his chest. Holding himself still he then closed his eyes, concentrating on the alien to try and suss out what his energy was doing. It didn't take long to find what he was looking for, this boy had quite the reserves of power in him. Sure enough there was Ki present, but that wasn't the bulk of it. In fact he wouldn't even say that half of T'charrl's energy was Ki, there was something else in there too. Hm... So that had to be it then, maybe he drew on this other energy before. So if they could somehow get the boy to only draw from one source then his problems should go away. No wonder there was so much difficulty. "Aha... Yes, that makes sense..." Roshi mumbled, taking his hand back and looking up with a smile. "You've got two energies in you my boy, and they're both fighting to get out. If we can manage to get just the Ki then you won't have any problems. Or... Even the other energy too."

Now, the question was whether this other energy behaved in the same way as Ki. Reason told Roshi it should, but they'd have to wait and see. "Tell me something... When you drew energy before, what did it feel like? Can you explain it?" If T'charrl could tell the difference between Ki and his own power than drawing from one source or the other ought to be far simpler. "If you can tell the difference between the energy you used earlier and, say, mine or one of the boys, then using both would be easy. To sense our energy you want to reach out with your own. Imagine a small field around you as your energy and then will it to expand. When your own energy comes in contact with ours you'll feel it, and you can 'sense' our energy." He was willing to bet Takeshi had left out that little bit. It wasn't as simple as just 'feeling' energy, you had to expend some to sense it.

Maybe the incentive of not blowing his sibling to kingdom come would get Shu to focus more. Or maybe it would just serve to make him more frustrated. Smiling sympathetically Takeshi scratched at his head, wondering how to put it in terms that the younger boy might understand. "Remember what I said earlier? Your Ki is mostly in your chest, right here," he explained, prodding at his own sternum, "You want to try and move it forward. When you find it there imagine it running from your tummy out to your hands, and then hold it there. If it helps move it from your chest to your hand, then back, kind of keep it flowing." He really didn't know how better to explain it other than that, to him it made perfect sense. In his mind he could imagine Ki flowing like water, circling around back and forth, but clearly that wasn't the case with Shu. Chuckling at his question Takeshi pointed to himself with his thumb, "You're learning how not to blast me silly! Though to be serious you're learning how to move Ki. Hm... Maybe something else would help you learn... Come here a second?"

Once Shu was at his side Takeshi turned to the water, squatting down before it. There was a handy little pool right next to him that would work well for this, hopefully his explanation helped Shu a little more. "Okay, so think of this as your body, and the water is your Ki," he began, gesturing to the pool. Dipping a finger in the water he made a quick stroke through it, playfully splashing his sibling a bit. "That's what it's like when you move Ki and just let it go, it'll fly out at you. The trick we're trying to get down is for you to keep that from happening. So instead of pushing it all out..." Again Takeshi stuck his finger in, but this time began moving it slower, creating a small elliptical pattern. "You start from your chest, move it out and bring it back. See how none of the water is splashing out now? Well it's the same with your Ki, if you do this then you can move it without losing any. And when you learn to do that then you can learn to move it and release it how you want." Hopefully that cleared things up a little bit, if not he really was lost as what to do. Smiling at Shu he reached over, tapping his brother's nose with a wet finger, "Think you got it now?"

T’charrl wasn’t sure whether he was even able to pull this off completely or whether it was a complete fluke, feeling as if he had lost a generous portion of his understanding in the space of a few minutes. If he was able to harness Ki then he should had been able to do it by now, now end up flapping around looking like an idiot. Feeling a little embarrassed, he gasped a little when Roshi reached out and touched him, looking down at him curiously, he tilted his head a little before quickly looking up again, feeling as if he was being rude with trying to figure it all out for himself all while staring at him like he was mad. Frowning a little, he felt a little concerned when Roshi spoke up, mentioning two energies, “Oh, uhh…sorry about that. I wish they wouldn’t…”

T’charrl didn’t know whether to feel concerned or not regarding him pointing out the two energies, mainly because he didn’t know whether it was something different to what he regarded as ‘the other energy’ when compared to Ki. It could be his power, but then again Takeshi had mentioned it was very similar to Ki before so it all just confused him. Feeling a little concerned, he bent down a little more, giving a frown, “Well…I just used it naturally before, but things changed not too long ago and I’ve had trouble ever since”, he spoke, looking away gradually before quickly looking back, “It’s hard to tell the difference anymore, but I have felt it once before…I think”. He didn’t know how to feel or what to do; sensing energy had always been natural for him before they all arrived. Moving away from him a little, he brushed down his fur, looking down at himself, “I’m worried though; I was able to use their energy rather than sense it before and what if I do that again by accident? Some of my power relies on others, but I want to be completely independent”. Feeling a little bit worried, he did try to do as he said despite that, looking down at his claws as he tried to pick up the energy. He had to learn to differentiate Ki from someone’s spirit, but it was difficult to tell them apart.

Shu was pretty concerned that Takeshi was telling him to hurt him and Shu was well aware of how strong his powers were, feeling definitely pretty worried that he might do more harm than good. He couldn’t find the strength to draw it to his hand, his eyes staring down at his fingers with a frown, “I-I know, I just…I don’t know how that would go when I find it so difficult…” he muttered, frowning a little, “If I move it forward too much, I might hurt you a lot…” What Takeshi was asking from him was a lot more difficult than it sounded. He knew he was learning to not hurt him, but he knew it would happen because he was so unstable. Looking up at Takeshi, he frowned a little and moved his hand down as he moved towards Takeshi, “What is it…?”

Shu was a little curious to what he had to show him, tilting his head a little when Takeshi decided to peer down at the water. Squatting down beside him, he tilted his head curiously as he stared into the water, smiling a little as he tried to suss out what he was trying to show him. Reaching down to the water for a moment, he stopped and tilted his head at Takeshi. He was certainly curious, trying to understand what he was talking about as he smiled thoughtfully, “Oooh? Really…?” he muttered, staring at him thoughtfully before pulling back a little, wiping his nose, “Ooh! Maybe! Maybe…maybe?” he questioned him, standing up quickly, “I want to try again! I don’t know if I could aim at you, though…” If he could move it around like the water then that would be very handy, but unfortunately he had to try and do it himself before assuming it would happen. Moving away a little, he held out his hand and tried to do what Takeshi told him only for Ki to fire out his fingers instead, stumbling back onto his backside.

Roshi didn't know what to tell T'charrl, he'd never had to teach a student in his predicament before. Everyone he'd ever been with had some unique powers, sure, but it had all stemmed from Ki. While the alien's other power did feel like Ki it wasn't, and that puzzled the hermit quite a bit. To have him able to suss out which was which would be no small feat. And this... The notion that T'charrl could use other people's energies. Okay, perhaps that wasn't so strange, he was aware that Ki could be shared to help one another. It stood to reason that if the alien could take Ki then he had to have some himself, as every living thing usually tended to. The big issue was isolating that, and then using that. "Hm... If we can train you enough to use your own energies then you will be independent. And your Ki is a portion of what you've got right now, but that will grow when you train. Everyone starts with a small reserve of energy, even if you're born gifted. It's through hard work and training that you get more power." Chuckling under his breath Roshi folded his hands behind his back, walking around T'charrl as he glanced over the boy. Yes, there were definitely pockets of energy here and there, but it felt scattered almost. It was that other energy, it almost felt like it was someone, or something else's power. Hm... How strange. "T'charrl... Can you use that other energy of yours? See if you can shift that around instead of your Ki."

Takeshi wanted to tell Shu he was being silly for worrying but the kid was clearly not loving his idea. Poor little guy, he was really having a lot of difficulty with this. Sighing softly he smiled apologetically, instead ushering Shu over to join him. Maybe just blasting was too quick for Shu, they had to get down to the absolute basics. If he could just find a better way of explaining things then surely his brother would get it then, right? What could be simpler then than the ebb and flow of water. Using a small pool as an example Takeshi created a small current with his finger, trying to demonstrate the currents inside ones body that would be Ki. It should be clear enough this way, what with a visual representation to go by and all. Teasingly tapping Shu's nose the older boy smirked, watching as he got back rather eagerly. "You don't have to aim at me this time. Just picture that water when you're trying to move it around." Getting to his feet himself Takeshi watched over his sibling, smiling confidently and giving a nod to go ahead.

Shu looked to be moving around his Ki pretty well then, he could see it shifting. Not a moment after he'd started a few bursts shot out of his fingertips, firing off in erratic directions and knocking the little guy on his butt. Smiling exasperatedly Takeshi slapped his own forehead, dropping his hands as he went over to his brother. "You did better that time buddy, honest," he said, squatting down and reaching out to pat Shu's head, "But you've got to keep it in too. If you feel it get too close to your hand draw it back. I'm guessing you can feel your Ki moving, right?" Hopefully he did anyways, otherwise they were going to have to simplify lessons even further. Taking a seat before Shu the older boy crossed his legs, smiling as he held out his hand, palm facing upward. "Watch my arm for a second and try to feel my energy. You should be able to tell that it's moving, this is what you want to go for." Just for a little demonstration he began shifting his own Ki, sending it down his arm and back again at a fairly rapid pace. Since he was so used to it Takeshi could do it relatively easily, but realized it might be a touch tricky for Shu to spot. Slowing it then to a more reasonable pace he smiled again at his brother, raising an eyebrow. "Well, can you feel it? Notice how it's moving?"

T’charrl was just as puzzled as Roshi was, giving him a nervous smile hoping that he wouldn’t end up struggling too much with training him; after all, he did only have a week to get the basics done and he trusted Roshi to help him with getting up to speed. Slowly moving down to a crouch, he stared at Roshi calmly before padding down his fur a little, “I’d really like that. I’ve got a lot to compete for when facing up against the evils of the universe”, he spoke calmly, “Growing stronger is a goal for me and I will do anything to get there”. He definitely had a draw for strength, but it wasn’t something he used to go for before all of this happened.

Strength was only a portion of what he needed to be a good leader, but it had certainly become a focus with a drive for more power. He hoped it wasn’t something he picked up off the General; he definitely didn’t want to turn into that man. Staring at him curiously, he frowned slightly at the mention of using his energy, “Use it? Uhh, sure…I can”. Standing up again, he looked down at the ground a moment before to his claws, placing them together before pulling them apart, forming hot energy strands out of his hands, “Shifting it around is a little difficult; I’m not supposed to use it offensively, it’s very hot”, he spoke calmly, “I can either use my own spirit or the energy of the planet, but it’s nothing like Ki…because this has altering effects like you saw with the coconut”.

Shu didn’t mean to do that, giving his hand a quick shake is surprise before frowning a little, staring down at his fingers. He just wanted to get it down and not hurt anyone that wasn’t a bad guy, especially not wanting to straight out destroy someone. Wiping down his fingers as if that was the problem, he stared at Takeshi curiously before giving a frown, shaking his head, “But I don’t want to blast you! What if that went straight through you? That would really hurt…” Giving his problems a little frown, he stared at Takeshi as he patted his head, giving a little smile, “I can try…but how do I draw it back again…?” Feeling a little curious, he stared at Takeshi as he gave his own demonstration, tilting his head a little as he tried to follow it. Doing something like that certainly seemed complicated, especially when he had trouble holding his energy back nevermind moving it around.

Trying to learn from it at the very least, he took a little step back and stared down at his hands, just wishing that he would be able to do it successfully. Looking up again, he smiled a Takeshi and gave a nod, “I can feel it, I think! I’m still bad at it, but I can still feel it…” he spoke calmly, looking down again, “Like water going all bloop bloop!” Looking at T’charrl’s direction quickly, he tried to see how he was doing before looking back at his own hands, holding them out in front of him calmly before letting out a sigh to calm himself down. It was very hard to keep calm, especially being Shu. Hoping he could move it around, he moved his energy through his hands, squeaking a little when it nearly decided to blast out of his hands again, frowning slightly as he continued to practice, “Am I doing it…?”

"Strength isn't everything, you know!" Roshi said, as if reading T'charrl's thoughts. "It's helpful for a leader to be strong, but you need to be wise and have a kind-heart. If you let the power define who you are then you'll be corrupt and be twisted evil." With this boy however the hermit didn't feel a need to go on a lecture of responsibility, he certainly sounded to have an understanding. This two energy business was proving to be puzzling, they needed to find a way to differentiate the two. Prompting T'charrl then to use only that other source Roshi watched with great interest as he easily gathered some, making it look like child's play. Now if they could just get him to use Ki with the same degree of ease then they would be perfectly fine. "So you understand that energy perfectly fine, it's Ki which is alien to you." the old man mused, chucking lightly at his choice of words. "I see, well then. You're aware of your Ki, and you seem to know how to draw forth energy. So go right ahead and try what you just did, only make sure you use your Ki this time." Seemed like a simple enough task, certainly so if T'charrl knew where the energy he was searching for was. "A trick with Ki," Roshi continued, holding up a finger, "is to breathe while you try to summon it forth. The calmer you are the easier it is, initially anyways. So try taking some deep breaths before you take a shot at it."

Takeshi was certain no holes were going to be blasted in him anytime soon, if only he could convince Shu of that. Obviously using his older brother as a target wasn't going to pan out, so it was back to square one again. What a shame too, he'd thought the water explanation was pretty darn ingenious. Still certain that Shu needed examples Takeshi went about doing precisely what he was trying to teach his brother, slowing it to a pace that hopefully he could tell what was going on. "Making it come back...? Well, you have to push it to get out right? When you were moving it towards your hands before you had to think about it and focus to make it go there, yeah? If you stop it before it gets to your hands and pull it back in then it won't leak out like before. You just want to keep doing that to make it move." Pretty lousy explanation admittedly, but Takeshi wasn't sure how much more simple he could make it. The water analogy had probably been their best bet and all that ended up with was Shu leaking Ki out of his fingertips.

"Hehe... Water huh? Well yeah, I guess it feels like that! Keep it going!" After the bit of counseling Shu had gotten right back to the grindstone and already he looked to be making progress. If he said he could feel it then Takeshi believed him, elated they had made a breakthrough. Since they really needed to focus on what was happening the older boy stared intently at his brother's hands and arms, following the movement of his Ki. It was like little currents inside Shu's body, and by sensing them he could almost see them. It was a bit shaky at some points, almost like rapids in a river, but sure enough the little guy was getting it down. Takeshi's eyes widened for a second when a sudden spike in Shu's palms nearly resulted in a blast, yet he quickly reeled that in and kept the flow going. Letting it go on for a few moments more the Saiyan smiled approvingly, nodding his head and giving Shu a thumbs up. "You've got it Shu, that's exactly what you want!" It could do with a little refining of course, but already he had gotten it down pat. Now, did they want to jump ahead and try flying, or blasting? "How are you feeling about it buddy? Think you want to practice some more?"
