Lifting 10,000 pounds will be his maximum, no worries. No OP Iron Man here :)
Airliners can be anywhere from eighty to two hundred tons on average. Some weigh more, some weigh less. None are even close to ten tons, let alone one.
Edit: in the comics, Iron Man is classified as a class 90. Meaning he can lift ninety tons at least. (Although this is for comparisons between characters and not a set level for Iron Man.)

I think 90 tons is a bit overdoing it when wearing a regular suit, but a Hulkbuster with that strength level is more realistic, and im trying to go for realistic

Okay, but, then, can you explain how, realistically, Iron Man could have inter-continental ballistic missiles, let alone a Bunker Buster, on his person?

The bunker buster from iron man 2, in non dud form is what I was talking about. As for ICBMs, i just looked a picture of them, and they are huge. So they're out.

Wait, in the comics, what is the name of Tony's company? Stark Industries or...? I always thought it was simply Stark-Fujikawa, but then again I read the 2099 comics a lot (loved the 2099 runs)
