Nicholas said he could see he was angry so he could try to clam him down somehow or use that syringe to clam him down either way it could help him."And like i said before i am not that egomaniac like my father so you may want to keep such comments in your head" He added with clam look on his face.

Kaiden beamed at Kalinda. "Progress!" he said cheerfully. Kaiden glanced at his phone and looked at the time. "Power development huh? OK I'll follow you."

Before they started walking a blast of dark smoke erupted in front of the two, the sulpheric smell so familiar and telling, the pungent odor filling the air around them.
Kaiden's dad, Nightcrawler, appeared before them, his tail swinging behind him excitedly as he looked down at the two. "Ah, hello son! I was told I could find you here!"

Kaiden staggered back a step then swung his arm out to try and clear the smoke and it's stench. "Dad! What the hell?"

Kurt grinned, flashing his sharp teeth. "I've finished enrolling you." He handed a thick folder with paperwork to his son. "This has everything you need to get started. I see you've already made friends. I'm surprised" he chuckled.

Kaiden glared at his dad, yanking the folder away. "Thanks. You can go now."

Devika shot a look to Flood, before turning to Nicholas. She could see the rage in him, building, and so she decided to do something she never did. Tearing one of her gloves free with her teeth, she laid her hand very gently on Nicholas' neck, and dropped herself into a calm state. She knew it would travel, and this time, instead of blocking it, she pushed it outward from herself.

Mistress dizzy said "Yeah." Kijani examined the rebuilt bookcase, then calmly set the books back with her powers. As the bookcase didn't collapse, she turned to the mirror and tried to neaten herself up some. "...alright, then." She grabbed her bag and smiled. "Let's go."

Connkr grabbed his pack and laptop, slinging them both over one shoulder, waiting for Kijani to be ready, before heading out, "what do you suppose we will be doing today?" He wondered outloud.

Kalinda blinked when Nightcrawler appeared in the puff of black smoke. She stepped back a step, looking through the smoke, and staying quite as the interaction went on between the two. She glanced at the time, and said "I'm sorry sir, but we really have to get to class. Mimic might not be happy if we're late" she said, then remembering manners she said "I'm Kalinda"

She turned to Kaiden, giving him a smile, "I'm sure you want to talk with your dad, but we have to get going. It will take us a few minutes I get to mimics classroom

Kurt's smile never broke. "Kurt, nice to meet you Kalinda. Well I'm sure you'll give him a good tour of the school. I won't keep you both from class. I hope you find growth and control Kaiden." Kurt widened his smile before disappearing, the black smoke from his first appearance that had started to clear was engulfed in the smoke he left behind again as he left them.

Kaiden gritted his teeth and quickly began walking forward, waving the smoke away from his face as he walked through. "Sorry about that. Yeah let's go." After a moment, as they walked to Mimic's class, Kaiden turned to Kalinda and asked "so what about your parents?"

Kalinda was silent fr a time as Kaiden asked after her parents then shrugged "my mother is Raven, as for my father...I don't know who he is and my mother has never told me or given me an indication. I suspect she doesn't know either" Kalinda shrugged "my powers aren't exactly the same as my mothers, and I begged her for a long time to come here. I think she was scared something would happen to me" Kalinda shrugged, and led the way to power development "she doesn't teach her, so you're lucky you can still see your dad. I've been to his class once or twice"

"I never knew my mom. She died when I was born and my dad doesn't like to talk about her." His frustration on this was evident as he stared ahead while they kept walking. "It's interesting you wanted to come here so bad. I had to literally beg my dad not to send me here. He talked about this school non-stop but all I ever wanted was to be normal. My powers showed late and when they did I had a hard time controlling them; paired with my emotional outbursts he finally gave me ultimatum to come here or go on my own. Dad of the year. Why would she be scared something would happen to you? Isn't this school supposed to be the most protective and teach you where you can't get hurt?"

Kalinda sighed and shrugged "I wanted to come because when my powers first manifested just over a year ago, I caused a horrible, vicious fight between two guys, making it worse 100 fold...and...and one killed the other. I couldn't stand it, the emotions, feeling out of control. There was only so much my mother could do...finally she let me come. I guess she was worried that something would happen here, or that I'd be completely overwhelmed or something. I don't know" she said shrugging.

She reached out feeling Kadians emotions next to her, and gently tried to sooth his frustration, as they entered the school building and the power development class, claiming seats for them.

Flood was pretty pissed already. It really didn't help that Nicholas was being so calm. He walked into the classroom with Nicholas and sat down to wait for Mimic. He really hoped he got put into a fight with Nicholas.

As Kat walked into the class room she was finishing putting her hair into a braid, fingers deftly twisting the strands in a motion that suggests she had done so many times before. She secured it off while she scanned the room and saw Flood clearly irritated. "You look ready to kill, more-so than usual anyways." She noted as she sat beside him.

"Yeah. I believe we've found our new Anthony. Same personality, different parents." Flood replied as he waited for Mimic. "Where the hell is Mimic? I need to let some anger out."

Kijani shrugged as she locked her door. "Something at least interesting, I hope." She was hoping, deep down, that she wouldn't have to fight today. Her talk with Connor had improved things, but she was still feeling like the ground under her feet was eroding slowly. That, and she hadn't gotten her sword back. Even though she hadn't owned it for long, her back felt naked without it. She missed the comforting weight of the scabbard and steel on her back.

Devika wandered in behind the boys, and could feel Flood's anger rolling off of him. She'd mistaken it for Nicholas' anger. After catching the statement about Anthony Luthor, she spoke up in passing. "Not quite right. Close, though. Anthony restrained his emotions. They were there- compartmentalized and controlled, but I could still feel them. Nicholas..." She frowned and dropped her voice so it wouldn't carry. "It's like nothing is there at all. Kind of creeps the hell out of me." With that, she headed up to a seat away from both boys.

She gave a wry laugh at Floods comments, but listened to what Devika told him, thinking over her phrasing. Empath or no, she failed to believe there was 'nothing'. Everyone felt something, the right encouragement was needed is all. She didn't noticeably linger on the thought however, instead turning back to Flood. "Perhaps you should stop spending your time with these people, or find a more creative outlet for your rage. Though parentage is irrelevant; if you're an asshole, you're an asshole.

Flood chuckled at that statement. "Trust me, it's not like I look for these people. They seem to just appear out of thin air." Flood frowned at that thought for a second. "Come to think of it, there's a lot of transfer students this year. Weird." He commented to himself.

"Nothing I can explain. Maybe it's a conspiracy, someone collecting them for their dastardly plan." She said dramatically, before dropping the act and continuing on normally. "Though the increased attention on the academy as of late is probably the most likely answer." She explained with a shrug. Granted the attention hadn't been very positive, but she doubted the options were overwhelming.

Nicholas looked like he was in his own little world looking out of the window to his right to the bright clouds and blue sky,"Why are supers so quick to anger....so primal such a waste of energy...." He thought to himself before turning to face Devika then faced Flood."I apologize for my arrogant quip it did seem...harsh and since you have help me so much with my work i do not want to sour our blooming friendship..." He said to him with a still monotone voice but at least he was apologizing for the mistake he made and hoped Flood would not be mad at him.

Kaiden glanced at Kalinda with a bit of tension. "Wow, I'm uh....sorry to hear that." He tugged the hoodie of his sweater tighter over his head, gritting his teeth, one of his terrible habits to let out tension and stress. "It looks like you're doing just fine now." He looked at her, smiling as he could feel her calming him from the inside. He loosened his jaw and took a silent deep breath.

Kaiden looked around the class as they entered. He noticed a few people that he had seen before, including Flood.

If he were to look his way he raised his hand and gave him a small wave in acknowledgment. Flood was slightly obnoxious but he was smart and he seemed like a good ally to have. He thought at first he reminded him of his dad but while he was one for constant obnoxious pranking, his emotions were different and he had a harsher side to him. Kaiden appreciate this balance; life wasn't all fun and games and he liked to live in this realty rather than an ignorant fantasy of 'it's all good'.

Kaiden sat next to Kalinda in the seats she saved for them and looked around for the professor.

"It's fine. I'm probably going to be pissed for the rest of the day though. I haven't seen Anthony and you reminded me of how much I want to punch him in the face. Repeatedly." Flood forgave Nicholas pretty easily. "Hey I remember hearing about a talent show from someone a couple of days ago. When do you think that's happening?"

Connor nodded "it's always around fighting." He said. He had thought long and hard, and finally decided he needed to fight both with his armor and without. There would be times, he was sure, that he'd have to fight without his armor, and he needed to be parlayed for that. He frowned suddenly, "where's the blade you got from Thor?"

Kalinda shrugged "I've developed some control over it now, but when I'm overwhelmed it's too hard and...well" she sighed. "It's better being around people I like, easier. " she added, settling back in her chair, plopping her pack to the ground. She shrugged, "anyway, if I can get control, then you can too" she said

Phoebe grabbed her pack, telling Katherine she would meet her in power development, quickly jogging to the dorms, but was disenhearted when there was no letter in reply, as she sighed, heading towards power development.

She realists she was going to be late, and she began to jog once more, turning down the hall, she went to enter the classroom, only to trip, her pack falling out her grip, the box with the two mini chlorofiends in it falling out. As it opened she cursed, and quickly snatched the box up, slamming the lid back down and shovering it back in her pack, quickly sitting down
