All of mine were fucking $85. Like, nah bro I'm not dropping money to sit down all night since I didn't date anyone at the time. Especially since the themes were never consulted with the student populace, so we had crap like mermaid theme and Flokka Flame theme.

Regular dances at our school were pretty much always free. If you wanted to go to a prom, however, then you had to buy tickets to those. (About $75 per person, usually.)

For admission I paid $25 (combined) for my date and I.

Prom tickets are like $250 though.

Lol. We paid like 16$. All the money for the actual decorations / DJ / Photography was raised by fundraising throughout the year.

Our dances were always pretty ghetto though. Like one year we had a tropical theme and they had Sponge bob and Patrick with those cut out faces. They also had a fucking paper machete Zebra near the punch bowl. The best part about the dances was seeing what a hilariously awful job the decoration team did, and also grinding my junk all over my classmates.

5 bucks seems ridiculously cheap. :/
That might explain though why you had an alternate party hosted at a students house though, rather than simply moving to a students house after the school event was done.

Homecoming was akward for me. My date was my then girlfriend and highschool sweetheart, she ditched me during the dance to dance with someone else. I should of taken that as a sign. But ehhh young and stupid.

We have grad and that's it. I think it totals up in the 70s for the ceremony, dinner, and dance. Although tbh I am probably just gonna skip the dance and safegrad and just go get smashed on someone's acreage.

Homecoming and other dances were always free. the school district would try anything to get kids to come to these things. They usually sucked.

I remember the only dance I really ever went to, some friend hooked me up with this hot chick. Turns out she was on her period, and holding someone's waist while dancing is "perverted". I just kept to drinking after that.

Our prom was a little pricey, but nother compared to what i'm seeing here.

Good idea. Ended up spending something like $250 total on Homecoming when I added up suiting, food, party bus, shirt, and ticket.
